Pizza was great service was fast but our server was a little cold. That led to a Tip deduction. The Manager personally checked on us. Food quality was excellent. We had a salad good salad, but forgot to bring dressing. My wife had the soup which was good. We ordered a Deluxe Pizza with extra sauce pepperoni sausage green peppers & onions. Flavor was Excellent crust crispy. 5 star Pizza. Price was competitive

Great pizza. Very good customer service every time we go. I have eating here for the last 19 years. Good beer and wine menu with a nice outdoor area. Best pizza in the area. I would drive past 10 pizza joints from holland to Zeeland just to get it.

Dine-in service was poor (so only went once) but I've gotten delivery a few times and they usually nail it. :) The pizza is pretty good.

I called and ordered their 'medium' cheese pizza which costs $10.40 per the website. The lady took my information and then told me it would be $15. I asked why so much? She explained that they charge a $3 delivery fee for their food plus tax. I then asked if the money was going towards the delivery driver's tip. To which, I got the following reply. The money is used to pay for his salary. Let's consider this idea that the money is being used to pay the driver's salary. Well, for starters, it's his hourly wage, not his salary. I don't know of any salaried delivery drivers. The minimum wage in Michigan is 8.50 / hr. Though, for tipped employees, which a delivery driver is, the minimum wage is only 3.10 / hr. in MI. So, essentially, if the driver does one delivery an hr. Vitale's has covered the driver's legal minimum wage requirements for the State. Though, as we all know driver's average well over one delivery an hour. On a busy lunch or dinner rush a driver can easily do 5-6 deliveries an hour for 3 hours. Does that mean Vitale's is paying drivers $15-$18 an hour + tips! I have serious doubts about all this. Really, what Vitale's means to say, is that it's a way for us as a company to charge our delivery customers more money and increase our revenue. Hey, while your at it, how 'bout you add another charge for the cook's salary as well! To add insult to injury, I was quoted a price that included tax on that $3 delivery fee. So, in total, my measly $10 cheese pizza would have cost $15 + tip. To me, it's completely unreasonable, to be charged 50% more than the cost of the item ordered. This exorbitant fee coupled by their shady answer to my question has made me proud to say that I am no longer a customer of Vitale's. I write this review as I eat the pizza from a local vendor that didn't charge me a delivery fee. This $3 fee will cost Vitale's a couple hundred bucks of business that will likely go to a pizzeria without a delivery fee in the coming year.

Excellent food and delivery service. We had spaghetti and meatballs, pizza and 3 cheese bread sticks. Would highly recommend.

I cannot deny how good your pizza is. I have also tried the fried mushrooms and they are DELICIOUS! Your food is amazing but the greatfulness you express towards your customers is sub par. You will not lose business from me due to the deliciousness of your food but I do enjoy seeing some happiness and appreciacion for those that pay YOUR wages. I picked up a pizza today and the owner of this location was at one register calculating something and a young employee took my money and gave me my pizza. Service was fine but the young fellow seemed to be very nervous in the presence of his boss. This is not a 'fast food' pizza chain but there is only one other 'pizzeria' in the area I go to when I want good pizza and the owner of this place dons a white apron with fresh food stains and is inexplicably thrilled with your business and takes pride in the meals he serves (which HE has so happily prepared for you). I realize you cannot prepare the food yourself as you have too many customers but take pride in your delicious food rather than swim in the profits and you will recieve 5 stars from me.

Really good pizza, and very good service last night! Manager checked on us. The only thing was noise level was high and it was really cold in there. I even had a jean jacket on! There was a lot of staff and they all seemed to be doing a great job taking care if their customers.

Good pizza. Great cheese sticks. Owner is kind of a tool and a total cheapskate. Good food, but I would rather spend money at another, local pizzaria. Drinks arent well mixed.

Three of us went there today, Saturday, mid afternoon so it wasn't busy at all. The place is clean and nicely decorated. The "hostess", who also happened to be our waitress, didn't welcome us and barely made a grunt when I asked if we should seat ourselves. Then, it took her a while to finish her conversation with a friend before finally bringing menus over. When she did come she didn't have the best attitude. Two of us ordered the black & blue burger. One asked for it medium and the other rare. Jessica acknowledged it but never mentioned anything about them not cooking burgers to order. When the orders arrived, both hamburgers were cooked exactly the same...well done. When Jessica finally came around to see how we were doing it was mentioned that these burgers were well done. Jessica said that she typed in rare but the cooks do the burgers all the same and nothing is ever cooked to order. It would have been nice to know so that another item could have been selected. All in all, she had a really piss-poor attitude. Burgers were ok but there are much better places to get a burger that also have a more cooperative staff. The third item ordered was an italian sausage sub, which was pretty dry until extra sauce was ordered. After the bad service all three of us did something that we never do...we left without giving her a tip. On the way out we asked to speak with a manager. We hung around for a little bit then decided to just leave after she didn't make an appearance. We all indicated that we would not be back to this establishment.

I will save this one as the only good pizza in Zeeland. I often dream about Vitale's Pizza (I am 600 miles away). The sauce and crust make this pizza. The sauce is quite possibly the best I have ever had, EVER. Ryan, Troy, and Maria are awesome, and have been running this place for almost 20 years.

First and foremost the food.... The pizza is average. The regular pizza is generally a little on the doughy side and is over cheesed. Where anything with cheese, sauce, on pizza bread, will taste good, when compared to other Authentic pizzas, it's really average at best. Petrino's in Zeeland makes a better tasting and closer to Authentic pizza in my opinion. Although people tend to flock to Vitales as they have the only alcohol license in use in Zeeland, right now. This is probably why I frequent Hungry Howies more often now as they are Cheaper and you get pretty much the same tasting thing and I really don't drink much beer ever. Their one redeeming quality is their Barbeque Chicken pizza. But it is REALLY inconsistent. I've ordered it and gotten almost no Barbeque Sauce and other times it is completely lathered in it. So, order at your own risk...lol Customer Service Issue 1 -- """Vitales does need to seriously consider their customer service though. For example, for some odd reason they don't include chips with their subs if you order them for takeout, but do include them in the restaurant. If you request them they want to charge you a couple bucks more....I don't understand the rationale behind this as a Styrofoam container or baggy to place the chips in for takeout would cost all of about 5 to 10 cents, but either way I digress.... So, I ordered a meatball sub takeout and specifically ordered the chips, they said they don't include them. I said I would pay the extra and had the person taking the order reassure me several times over the phone that they would be included. I drove over and picked up my stuff, got out the door and sure enough the chips weren't included. So, I went back in and asked the girl at the register about it, at which time she pointed at the sub on my receipt and said they normally don't include them with the subs. So, I told her I realize that but was assured by the gentleman who took my order that they would be included. She got confused, or something, and went to go get the manager. The manager came over and preceded to lecture me on how they don't include chips with their subs in takeout (Ridiculous right?)...Why would you include something, in store, with an item, but charge a customer the same amount, but not include that item for takeout? Anyway, I interrupted the manager mid way into his spiel (as if it is EVER a good idea to lecture a customer) and said I realize all this but I specifically asked for them SEVERAL times for the item and was assured it would be in there. Finally he grudgingly made his way to the back of the kitchen and got my Chips. This wasn't the first time either I've had trouble getting some chips with my order as I've had to deal with this several time with them.""" Customer Service Issue 2 -- """" We ordered lasagna for delivery. One Lasagna wasn't enough for delivery so we added a side salad to the order as well. NOTE...we live approximately 2 street over from Vitales about 2 to 4 minutes away. We were told it would be delivered in 40 minutes. After about 50 minutes of waiting for the food we got a call from the delivery boy apologizing for the delay, saying they were very busy and said he was leaving with the food right then and would be there in 5 minutes. Roughly 10 minutes went by and there was no sign of the food. So, we called them up and spoke with the manager Josh who had no idea where the delivery boy was or where the food was. He finally comped the whole order because it took so long, but assured us it would be there shortly. So, we waited. About 10 minutes went by and still no food, so we called Josh back. At that point he told us that the deliver boy claimed that we told him when he called us that we were coming in to pick up the order (basically telling the customer us that we were lying). Obviously the delivery boy was trying to save their butt for skipping out on their job for 30 minutes or something to that effect (either way it was a flat out lie). So, with that he said the food was on it's way and we did eventually get a luke warm/cold lasagna after 1 hour and 45 minutes. I would think that even if you did comp an order you would still want to send out a warm product and put your best foot forward, but hey, what do I know." ..... I've always felt, as well, the wait staff there in general could be a bit friendly. Not that their unfriendly, but I've never felt very "Welcomed" eating there. Other places have much friendlier, welcoming, staff.

Best pizza around but if it's on a busy night and you get carryiut you have to ask them to make sure it's cooked well or it will be under done and if you order Any condiments like ranch with your chicken strips you have to askfor it again when you pick it up because they never remember last nigh the pizza wasn't cooked good enough and they forgot my ranch for the chicken happens every time.

Pizza is average, some wait staff are good, others not that attentive. On the plus side, they usually have a few microbrews on tap, and the cheesy bread is good.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
