Many vegetarian options for breakfast. We had the breakfast wrap and veggie quesadilla. Good flavor and portion sizes. The service was quick and and attentive. Our server even offered coffee to go. We will be back to Elbo room ASAP!

This is my new favorite breakfast spot. They have the BEST hash-browns I've eaten. Anywhere. Breakfasts are excellent. Lunches are excellent too. Their sandwiches are huge and filled with fresh cuts of meat (the Ruben has actual hunks of corned beef, not lunch meat). If you're a salad person try the Waldorf or Cobb. Delicious!

I want to like this place but it's mis-fired a couple times. Atmosphere is definitely a little lacking and the food the past couple of visits was only so-so. This most recent time the Prime Rib was almost too salty to eat. When I mentioned it they said I was the 2nd to say so and offered no remedy.

I firmly believe a review is only as useful, accurate, and valuable as the man who writes it. So first, who am I? For what it's worth, I've cooked professionally for about a decade now and have been responsible for making sure my kitchen consistently puts out quality food. Now, let's return to our subject - The Elbo Room. I frequently visit this establishment with family after Sunday church service. Overall I'm a fan of this casual self proclaimed bistro style eatery. Their hours are awesome. They are almost always open (till 9pm weekdays and 10pm weekends). Heck, they are even open on Sunday which seems to be an exception to the norm for a business in Zeeland! They also have a large menu selection. They serve both breakfast and lunch during lunch hours. So whatever your palate is in the mood for I'm sure you'll find something on their menus. I typically get the burrito. The burrito is delicious and is quite filling even for the average over-sized man. If you like spicy I highly recommend ordering it with their "Mean Green Sauce" which is actually just a spicy salsa verde. Unfortunately for the Bistro one of my specialties is mexican food and southwest cuisine so here's my constructive criticism. FIRST AND MOST IMPORTANT, REAL BURRITOS SERVED WITH CHICKEN INSIDE SHOULD BE SHREDDED CHICKEN NOT DICED. (Just because Qdoba serves diced chicken doesn't mean that's how it should be served.) Second, they serve the burrito under a spicy red sauce which if my taste buds are correct it has way to much cumin in the sauce. In fact get rid of the cumin altogether. (You as the patron can't do anything about that though) Third, green bell peppers in a burrito? Es loco amigo!!! I usually get rid of the bell pepper in favor of jalapeno or whatever kind of chili pepper they have in the kitchen. I could go on and on but I really don't want to give off the wrong impression about this establishment. Overall, for the reasonable price, casual atmosphere, tasty food, friendly service, and liberal hours of operation this one's a winner!

Excellent Breakfast. Had the standard eggs, sausage, potatoes, toast. Everything was very tasty. Hash browns were especially good. Great service also.

We went for breakfast, and it was great. We both had amazingly good omelettes and fine coffee. Next time I'm in town, this is where I want to have breakfast. Owner and chef came by to talk. Staff friendly. Ambience clean but ordinary. Food: so far, so fine!

Went for breakfast on Saturday morning. The food was great. The servers and hostess were working their tails off. But sign in was disorganized (cluttered). They were short staffed for sure. Suggestion to the owner is maybe be out there seeing what's going on. You have a great thing going here you do not want to lose your staff. People are lined up to get in. Make it better for them. Your omelet (the duck) was fantastic.

Wife and I stopped for breakfast on a Saturday around 10am. The place was very busy but not packed. Our server was very pleasant and helpful but they were a little understaffed. We survived. BUT the food was fabulous! I had the Huevos Ranceros and could have eaten another plate full it was that good! My wife had the Southwest omelet and was just as happy with her meal as I was mine. We'll be back for breakfast and to give them a try a the dinner menu!

Elbo Room recently extended its hours to include dinner. We decided to have our 16th anniversary dinner there this evening. Hostess stand is in the back of the dining room..odd to walk thru the dining room, past diners, to get to the stand. We were seated right away, maybe 8 tables occupied. The space is very... vanilla. It has no personality, none. It was awkwardly quiet. I don't like loud, booming music in a restaurant, but a little subtle background music would have gone a long way in providing some sort of atmosphere, as there was NONE. You don't feel like you are anywhere special. Server was prompt taking our drink orders, but that is about where the good service stopped. Took several minutes for our drinks, several more minutes for her to come back to take our order and then at least 15 minutes to get our salads. There were 3 servers in the dining room, and as I said approx. 8 occupied tables of 2-4 diners. Our entrees were speedy though. Unfortunately, they were so speedy that we were only a few bites into our salads when they arrived..such a bummer:( Our salads were very tasty, a nice little mix of spring greens...I had the peppercorn ranch, my husband the strawberry vinaigrette, both yummy. We wanted to finish them, so our entrees got cold:( I had the meatloaf and mashed potatoes...both I think would have been quite good..had they been warm. The meatloaf had a very nice flavor, marjoram or cardamom..something in that family..very different than what you might be used to in a meatloaf. Potatoes were good, as was the gravy..but again..sadly...cold:( I should say..the food was warm when it came to the table..but we still had nearly a whole salad to finish! My husbands cottage pie was a generous size, he enjoyed it..but ended up having to finish it with a spoon. Had sort of a chili texture to it. Would have been better piping hot. We finished with the tiramisu and cheesecake. Best part of the meal, especially the cheesecake..perfect (and I only snuck one bite of it off my husbands plate!:) Elbo Room is not an inexpensive dinner..we had two of the lesser priced entrees on the menu. Dinner for the two of us was 60 dollars (including tip). We will try the Elbo Room again..we'll just eat our salad really fast:)

I would like to give the Elbo Room 4.5 stars based on he price. I think it's a little expensive for this location. Our food was a solid five though. I had red snapper tacos which were served with delicious rice beans, and homemade tortillas. My husband had a jerbana sandwich and French fries that were YUMMY.

Decided to try this place based upon other Yelp reviews. Nice place. Good experience, good service, tasty food. We found the potatoes oversalted but otherwise all was fine. A bite pricey but fair to quality and quantity of food.

Love this place for dinner! Excellent home made food. Priced right for what you are getting. Portions are just right. Really good service, beverage choice, and food options. Will definitely be going back.

Loved this spot! Great breakfast food with a unique twist! Awesome zucchini bread and you have to order the jer bear omelette! Great friendly service and they don't push coffee on you.

Confession...we ordered take out 2 nights in a row this week! you know when you usually get fries to go and you get home and their all soggy and soft, NOT this place!!! Everything we ordered both nights was outstanding especially those fries-crispy on the outside, perfect on the inside! Highly recommend the food, stop in and visit or take out. We want to keep them around for good!!!

I'm sure sad for Saugatuck, but what a welcome for Zeeland to have this new restaurant. I like the nautical decor, very simple and open. My family came here to celebrate Mother's Day, my birthday, and my sister's fiance's birthday. We were seated pretty quickly, and we started out with the cinnamon roll. This is huge and like the size of a 6 or 8 inch cake. We had no problems splitting this with our group of 5. I had the Crab & Asparagus Benedict and that was really tasty. I appreciated my coffee getting topped off, and our waitress was super nice. I certainly hope the restaurant stays a while and that I can come back.

Recently had breakfast, then stopped in for dinner last week. So happy we did! We really enjoyed our Western omelet, hash and seafood. The service was great, which is such a bonus. We'll definitely be back!

I had high hopes for this new place. I ordered eggs Benedict and they were nothing special. My friend had a veggie omelet and it was lacking flavor. Cinnamon roll was good. Then we returned to give lunch a try... Needless to say that everything was so bland! No flavor. Ordered a chicken sandwich and roll up. The chicken was so dry and no flavor. Also, everything is so overpriced and i wouldn't mind if it was worth it. Crab cakes are a good size but not good at all.

I recently had brunch at the Elbo Room Bistro and the food was fantastic and very high quality. I had the Southwest Omelet with hashbrowns. I really liked how they tucked slices of avocado inside the omelet. They also serve slices of banana bread, which is a nice offering. Linda & Becca provided amazing service, so definitely check this place out!

No reason to make reservations. We've been waiting over one hour past our reservation time.

Awesome food and great service. Prices are a little high to make it a regular stop. Due to the type of layout it's very loud and hard for conversation.
