We often dine at Brookshire Inn, especially on Sundays. The special is southern fried chicken. It is the best anywhere. The mashed potatoes that come with it are also delicious. For the low $9,95 price you also get the soup and salad bar and a small loaf of home baked bread (that you need to ask for most of the time) . The soup alone is worth the trip to Williamston. . The salad plates are very cold and the selection of salad items is good if not great. The atmosphere is rustic and watching the golfers is an added attraction, in season. Other times of the year just gazing out at the scenery. The service is a bit iffy but worth the occasional wait.

Atmosphere: This is an odd place, it reminds me of a 1970's Hunting Lodge in the U.P. Deer heads on the wall, a roaring fire, etc. It is huuuge, and they are usually fairly busy. i've heard it gets real busy on friday night fish fries. Food: The menu is huge, which is usually a bad sign. My whole party went with seafood and all had an enjoyable meal. The mash potatoes were hand made and delicious. Service: Attentive, if a bit aloof. Entrees come with a salad bar & soup. However, our waitress didn't tell us this, so we had to ask. She said they have some soups but you have to ask and they'll bring them out. Useful info, that would have been more useful 10 minutes before we sat there. Alcohol: A big bar, and i perked up when the server told us they have over 10 beers on draft. Too bad it was only domestics. The only import/micro they had was Newcastle. At least a Bell's on tap would have been nice for a Michigan restaurant. Overall: You're not going to have a bad meal here, but the atmosphere is very odd so I wouldn't go here for a nice night out.

This is a good bar and grill. Patio is great in the summer. They recently updated the menu and we have not had a bad meal. We like Kids Eat Free with adult meals. Menu Favorites include: BBQ Ribs, Cajun Chicken Cavatappi, and the Beer Battered Cod Basket.

Have been going here for years. Have always had very good food. Large menu. The gardens are beautiful in the summer so it's fun to dine on the patio. Thursday night live music on the patio. Great place for parties. Good bar. It is definitely time for the dining rooms to be remodeled and the bathrooms need a serious update. Tables and chairs need replacement.

Brookshire is a nice Bar and Grill at the local golf course. I like to stop in and have lunch and a beer after playing around of golf. They have patio seating that looks right at the 9th green so your able to watch golfers come in as you have a drink. They also just built a outdoor bar recently that's open pretty late in the night and fairly busy. They have a step or two above just pub food (interesting sandwich + burger choices) for the lunch menu but their dinner menu features larger entrees like ribs, steaks, and whitefish. I'm a fan of the half slab special on the weekend. The food is always quality and I haven't had a bad meal ever. Atmosphere is not very smoky or loud. There are a handful of TVs usually turned to whatever current sports event is happening. Staff is helpful but not pushy. Brookshire does bar and grill food well. Certainly much better and far less obnoxious than any franchise near by (I'm talking to you Chili's). Its a good trip for a weekend afternoon to get some golf and dinner or to have a few drinks with friends on the patio.

Unique place. Food is above average, simple food. Big menu. Great beer, wine and cocktails. Service is very quirky. The best seats in the summer are on the patio - where you may end up sitting near a golfer with a cigar or be in the middle of a wedding. On a good night - it doesn't get much better - if you crash a wedding at least you'll have a good story.

We played this course on a drizzly Friday midday. It was very reasonably priced. ($42 per pair, including a cart!). The course is great and the scenery and the wooden bridges along the course were beautiful. There was a good mix of par 3 to par 5 holes and I would definitely return!

Great burger in the grille and an excellent golf course. Just wish it was closer to home (about 60 miles away). Will definitely be back once Group Golfer offers us another deal.

cannot begin to explain our experience & it was new years eve!! think they'd wanna put a best foot forward. heard guests all around us complaining about the food & poor service. one man told the server the salad bar was out of cottage cheese & 5 min later she brought him a soup bowl full of it! i can't believe people eat here - not me, ever again!!!! bad juju & it's a shame, the ambience is not bad.
