Beautiful view. I can't say that the food was an unforgettable experience, it was just standard fare. Buzz was introducing himself to his guest, which I thought was a nice gesture.

We entered the patio, my friend inadvertently let the door shut in front of a server who snapped " Thanks for slamming the door in my face, I'm your server , hope YOU have a fun night ! " He and his manager thought this was funny . I did not. He was NOT our server. Patio was dark, no silverware, the Smoked Trout dip only tasted of cream cheese. The roasted beet salad was good but not any better than the Lake House in Muskegon. I found that the menu was un-inspired as was the service

Had a wonderful casual dinner on the patio. Views of the lake beautiful. The beer battered asparagus appetizer was delicious and plenty for 3 or 4. It had 8 big spears. The Great Lakes perch dinner sweet and perfectly cooked. Key lime pie not to be missed! Servers attentive and very friendly. Highly recommend.

They had JUST opened for the season the evening we had dinner there, May 7th. They had an abbreviated menu and many of the servers were inexperienced. The young lady who waited on us was very nice, told us we were her first customers EVER (she had never worked as a waitress before). Considering her inexperience, she did a fine job. The food was just okay. We had the perch. We ordered asparagus but the order came out incorrectly. Someone from the kitchen (I think, he didn't introduce himself) came out and apologized and said the computer was cutting tickets off when they were printed. There was no salt or pepper on any of the tables, we had to ask for it. (and the food needed it) Our server sold us on the coffee ice cream pie for dessert. We asked our server if she liked the food and she told us she had not tasted any of it yet. We really felt like the manager should have allowed the wait staff to try the food before service. The views from the dining room are wonderful, right on the lake. Doubt we will ever be in the area again, we were there for a wedding. I would go back to Buzz's for the view and the dessert and the friendly service. I would skip dinner.

We got a double bed room. There was a dresser, a bed, a futon and a luggage rack. That's it. Nothing else in the room and no amenities. We brought in two lawn chairs to use as shelves. We also put a bin cover on top of the luggage rack for a bedside table. The sink was clogged. Buzz's is on White Lake so you have a nice view if you face the lake. The restaurant is nice as is the bar. The staff is very nice. They have a sun room where you can sit and gather with friends. Free continental breakfast. All-in-all the room is way over-priced for what you get. I would advise to check around the area for a better deal.

Went to Buzz's Lakeside Inn with my children while on a trip to Michigan Adventure. The view was beautiful and they also had live music on the patio while we were there. The food was pretty good over all. The asparagus was wonderful as a appetizer and my oldest son really liked the pork wings. All our entrees were good as well. We had a couple different steaks which the teenagers ordered and enjoyed. I had a shrimp special which I thought was pretty tasty. My youngest son had the kids mac & cheese and wasn't very happy. I guess they do a smoked mac & cheese for kids. Wouldn't have ordered it for him if I knew. But the server was very helpful and got him a grilled cheese and we took the mac & cheese to go. Got the ice cream pie & key lime pie for dessert. Both amazing!!! Overall service and the restaurant were both great. (The server must have brought us at least 3 refills of water. Sorry, have one kid who loves water but she always managed to have a smile on her face, thanks) Would definitely go back and maybe even stay at the inn. Thanks for taking such great care of us at dinner.

Visited Michigan from Maryland and maybe my expectations were to high but I have to say the food didn't justify the pricing, especially the ribs. Do Not order! For $22.00 there were exactly 2 ribs that came on the plate with a plop of mac n cheese. I've never even seen ribs served that way. The burger was not on a traditional bun, it was served on pumpernickel bread which I've never seen as well, my son said it was so so. I ordered the chicken breast with mushrooms which of all the dishes served that night at our table of 5 seemed to look and taste the best. Our server seemed very inexperienced and we had to even request silverware which wasn't brought to the table even after the food arrived. Could have been an off night, and I have to say the atmosphere was great with beautiful views as we dined on the outdoor patio, but the food left a lot to be desired.

Food was awesome! Prime Rib was cooked perfectly! House wine was really the topper. Mixed drinks were a little pricey...$9 for a Manhattan? We will certainly be back!!!

Twenty-three members of our family recently gathered for a reunion & our parents' 60th wedding anniversary celebration at Buzz's. It was fantastic! Prior to arriving some in our party were concerned that the place was older and not a deluxe resort, but now we all agree it was the ideal setting. The food was good and the lakeside locale very pretty, but what we'll remember is how every single member of the staff was friendly, gracious and accommodating. They really attended to details and went out of their way to make our celebration special.

Came for a meal while vacationing. The flies outside were bothersome--my wife, son, and I were sat in a corner close to an outdoor wait station. Drinks were acceptable, served in plastic. The meal came on time. My plate, crusted walleye, was an area recommendation--the portion was small, and the filet tasted as if it had been frozen. While far from terrible, not worth the $22.00 asking price. My wife said she enjoyed the beet salad, which she ordered with a salmon filet. My son's kids meal was chicken strips and fries. The strips came over-battered and over-cooked (son would not eat--I did not enjoy either), and the fries came undercooked, cold & soggy. The place is dated, but the view was nice, and the staff friendly and attentive. I will not be back, but I'd consider going there for a few drinks with friends.
