Solid hidden gem . Came and had a bite. Couple beers. Nothing spectacular. But this place had good food and a friendly staff welcoming my business. Felt like a "regular " bar at first. I quickly realized I was as important as the guy next to me and I recieved the same service and attitude. All I was looking for was some food and a drink and left satisfied and happy to come back soon

Quaint little place off of the beaten trail. We ordered oysters rock, wings, the wall eye, and a burger. The oysters were just ok. The rest of the food was pretty good. This is well above bar type fare. There's an extensive wine list and daily specials. The desserts were tempting but we passed. Our waitress was excellent as well. Well worth the trip.

I want to give the Old Stone more stars but we were disappointed on our last visit. It wasn't over crowded so I'm wondering what went wrong. The food was not as good as the first time we went last summer. The shrimp had a bleach taste and their signature pan fried walleye was too greasy, like it was cooked in oil that wasn't hot enough. I love the atmosphere, the bar, the wine and the waitstaff. For the price I expected better food.

Cozy, comfy, laid back. Couldn't believe the food that came out of the kitchen. Awesome bread sticks. We got the calamari and fish and chips. Both were awesome. Great wine list. I don't think you could get anything bad. Can't wait to go back. Also a great stop for drinks and just appetizers.

So dismayed!!! My friend ordered the pork dish. It was spoiled. What made matters worse was we were told by our waitress she informed the cook owner Bill His response was he made it yesterday We asked to speak with him. He said he was busy for us to call him tomorrow but wasn't going to serve anymore tonight. This is wrong on every level. Not to acknowledge the customer who just ate BAD SPOILED food With an attitude like that I won't advise anyone to go there. Things happen but not to apologize or respect your customer is not acceptable

Old Stone Bar and Grill is another local favorite for my wife and I. The food is first rate and the service is always excellent. The food is always perfectly prepared, flavorfull and nicely portioned. They have a good selection of seafood and usually offer walleye or whitefish as a special. It's always fresh and cooked to perfection! They offer fresh ground burgers with either beef or buffalo burgers and they have always come out cooked to my taste - medium rare - which can be challenging to find these days. While their wine list is a bit limited, their prices are extremely reasonable, especially for a bottle. With their reasonable prices, Old Stone is a great alternative to the monotony of the national chains!

My husband I love Old Stone. Very cozy, family oriented, very very delicious food (almost home cooking like). Staff are generally sweet and friendly. Price is reasonable.

Food was ok but waitstaff totally unprofessional. I felt like I was at a house party as an uninvited guest. I tried to order one of three or four drink options all of which the barstaff was unable to make. I would recommend the bar spring for a bartender book with some recipes in it. I was then told by the owner that "we are not in the Caribbean and we dont make thous drinks" in a quite rude tone if not worse. But continued to off me a martini although we were not in New York either. Hands down the worst dining experience I have ever had and we eat out alot and usually enjoy it. Also I get that drink every where I go for about 15 + years now. Lots better places to enjoy, avoid this one

The Old Stone Bar and Grill is absolutely the best dining option in the Romeo/Washington area!

Great place for a wonderful meal...good casual ambiance, great service. I had the scallops ... they were delightful and very fresh. I tasted the Jambalaya and it was one of the best I had ever had. This restaurant also has a great wine list and the chef is a charm. The menu had a menu to please any palate, and a great variety of good appetizers.

We tried Old Stone on a Saturday night and there were not many people there. I don't know why because the food was awesome! We love seafood so we were lucky because it makes up most of the menu. The portions were generous and well priced. The specials all sounded delicious so it was hard to pick just one. We will definitely be going back to try some more of their menu items. The appetizers also looked amazing, it might be nice to stop in for drinks and appetizers one night also. The only down side is the atmosphere because there were so few people there. Hopefully business picks up for them once people realize how good the food is!

My wife and I like this place, and we live local, but the high prices keep us away. Maybe that's the master plan because it always seems to do a good business and if any more people showed up I don't know where they'd sit them because the place is kind of small. The ironic thing about this place is everything my wife and I have ever ordered with the exception of something they have on the menu called the "Wild Game Plate" we have loved. My brother is an avid hunter, and I'm always over his house eating just about anything you can imagine like venison, bear, wild boar, elk, caribou, squirrel, rabbit, pheasant, etc., and the one thing I didn't care for at the Old Stone Bar & Grill was their "Wild Game Plate". Nothing on it tasted right, or maybe I should say good. I'm trying to recall what was on the "Wild Game Plate", but I know whatever it was, possibly venison, quail, boar, I didn't care for it. My advice is go to the Old Stone Bar & Grill and stay away from the "Wild Game Plate" because everything else my wife and I have ever ate there was awesome.

I might as well have given it 5 stars, the food and service is that good. It's probably the paper napkins and average restaurant cutlery; which actually is okay with me. For dinner, I'm having buffalo meatloaf; which the crisp and friendly waitress says is her favorite thing on the menu (though people who like fish will also find lots of tasty entrees.

Went there yesterday early evening. We had a party of 7. The restaurant was over half empty. We were told they could not seat us they had to many reservations. I have NEVER been turned away from a restaurant before. I will make sure everyone I know about this and tell them do not go back there. Terrible customer relations

Locally this is a go to. Atmosphere is rustic, comfortable and "homey" ESPECIALLY in the winter, its the PERFECT cozy, fairly romantic place. As a long time resident I have always found the waitstaff to be very friendly and accommodating. Prices are equitable or better to value. Food: The chef is quite accommodating. The menu is basic (meat & fish) but always fresh and dependable. Not a destination but a dependable good quality local venue if you haven't tried it ..you are missing out..

I worked here for one day...back in my 20's... I knew they had good food, but somehow, I've never been back. When others call this place "a best kept secret" they aren't lying. I guess it's because of it's location that it doesn't immediately pop into your head. If you don't exit the freeway at the Orchards (business exit) you're gonna miss it....and I usually do.. But no more...my experience there last night was a really great one! I had the Lake Superior Parmesan encrusted white fish and it was VERY tasty! With it I had red skin potatoes, that although were completely bare, somehow seemed very creamy, they melted in my mouth. I was in amazement and wondered how I could re-create this wonderful thing on my own, I also had creamy coleslaw... VERY Very delicious dinner. I really wanted to try the flash fried scallops, but didn't see them on the menu, too bad I hadn't asked the waitress for the specials and I wished she would have offered them, because there they were, but hey, a reason to go back. The service was really excellent as well....everyone from the hostess to our waitress was really friendly, making you feel at home in this quaint, rustic little restaurant. This place is definitely a wonderful place to take a date too, it just has a wonderfully warm feel to it, and I noticed an outdoor patio as well! Prices were reasonable too!! Just look at all these plusses! :-) Can't wait to head back to Old Stone soon....very soon~! Cheers~!
