Ali, the bartender, is fun and hot !!! Tip her good so she can get her cat new toys.
Waited over 30 minutes for our beer order. Why? Because they didn't have enough mugs. We offered to change our order to small glasses but that was a no go. Apparently not serving beer was a better option. Very disappointed in just how bad the service was and their response to their own lack of adequate resources. Oh, and they took orders from everyone at the table but forgot one. Not a big deal but no apology for the oversight.
Best restaurant and value in the neighborhood.! Great food specials and drink specials.! Try the sausage and peppers; most excellent.! Join the loyalty club, earn points for free food.! Veteran.? Ask about their veterans discount.

This may be our favorite restaurant, reasonable pricing and good food and service. The grilling of various beef cuts, filet mignon, grilled chicken, etc. are juicy, flavorful, and fresh tasting. Their mac&cheese side is also good. If something isn't right they will take care of you ASAP. We also like the grilled steak salad but with chicken, it is optioned up with bacon, egg, cheese, croutons, and avocado. Top it with their peppercorn ranch dressing, delicious. Another plus is their service, at least 1 or 2 people ask us if the food is good or to our liking at each visit. And the little brownie cup thing for dessert is super good. Great overall restaurant.
Hmmm, this one was hard to rate. I was with a group of 10. I think for the most part what we all ate was ok. Nothing that would make me crave it or want to go back again. Well, except for the rolls!!! Those are yummy! As much as I like bread that just isn't enough to make me go back. One of the members of my group had a steak that was rubbery & yams that tasted a bit like a household cleaner. Our waitress didn't really have much of a reaction when we told her why he didn't eat any of his food. I personally think she should have taken it off the bill but that is just my opinion. Other than that our waitress was really good. Attentive and fun. She did bring a small replacement dessert when we realized the brownie had nuts in it & one of the people eating it is allergic so that was nice. Overall it was just ok. It isn't something I will crave but I also wouldn't avoid the place. I just won't likely consider it when looking for a place to eat.
I'm not much of a "peanuts on the floor" type of person. But my in-laws love them a good steakhouse and who am I to complain about a free meal? For a chain, they have a nice selection, good menu with something for everyone, and the food is consistent. Service is always on point - very friendly and accommodating. And the food is good, and served in generous portions. Prices are fair too.

I come here a lot with my friends because Monday through Thursday they have half off appetizers...need I say more?! I have always received great service here, even when it gets very busy. The hostesses and waiters are always friendly, too. And of course, the food is delish and reasonably priced. Their Boneless B-B-Q Wings are the best here, that's what I usually get. I also like to try new things here because you can't go wrong. I've never been disappointed!
I am a regular at Applebee's, but ever since they changed their menu I have gone a lot less. They're prices went up and a lot of their wait staff are just rude. Very good food, but not for the prices.
My spouse and I dined at this applebees and we were somewhat impressed with this visit, but not completely. We both felt that the waitress was a bit evasive and hard to find when we needed to bring our cold entrees to her attention. Once found, it was quickly corrected and quality was restored. The real highlight of our meals were the AWESOME Onion rings, they were crispy on the outside and piping hot on the inside with a great onion taste.I would recommend them , hands down. We will return to this Applebees and give them an another try and hope for quicker service and a step up in overall food quality and entree temperature and presentation. Also we wish to thank the corporation's acknowledgement for our country's Veterans and Service members. It is nice to be honored with a discount and a nice reward as well.

I took my boyfriend here for Valentines Day(except we celebrated on Sunday night instead of Saturday) and we were not disappointed. I chose the Crooked Goose after browsing restaurants on here on yelp and discovered they had a burger made of 50% ground beef and 50% bacon which I thought my boyfriend would love. We ordered the Crooked Loaf, a soda for me, and a draft beer for him as soon as our server came. The Crooked Loaf is seriously something sent from above. He ordered the lumberjack burger but with the 50/50 patty and I ordered the regular 50/50 burger. We couldn't finish our fries and had to skip dessert. They were scrumptious. Before tip our bill was $33 which was lower than expected. I believe our servers name was Alex and she really helped our experience. She was able to recommend beer and food, extremely knowledgable. We will definitely be going back to try more and potentially fit in dessert.
Seemingly it's "Sweet Ones Day." I've never heard of it, but my wife knows about it. Mum-In-Law offers to babysit and suddenly we find ourselves with a free evening! Where to eat. We've visited the Twisted Rooster and my wife wants to visit their sister restaurant, the Crooked Goose. Somewhere new! Lets go! It's a bit of a journey from where we are. When we get there we're seated immediately. The interior is very nice, kind of greys and very similar to the Twisted Rooster. You would know it's the same owner. There are booths by the window and either side of a divide, one where we're seated. Our waiter is very nice and gives us a thorough run-thru of the menu, mentioning which are the popular dishes as well as his favorites. It all looks and sounds good. We decide to do an appetizer platter called to Golden Goose, so we get a selection of some tasty sounding appetizers. We also go for the crab and cheese dip, one of my wife's favorite appetizers and one recommended by our waiter, "more crab than cheese" he says proudly. We also order the Ultimate Cheese Dog to share. I'm sure the "lots of crab meat" crab dip sounded like a wonderful idea, the problem with it unfortunately, I'm ashamed to say, was there was too much crab. It was practically all crab and no cheese. And crab alone and chips don't make a great combination. My wife was missing the creaminess of a crab dip. And without a bit more cheese, it's very dry. The Golden Goose arrives. The Flash Fried Pretzel is delicious, as are the Volcano straws, fried thin battered onions with an ancho-mayo. The boneless wings I like, but the buffalo sauce is a little too hot of wife, though perfect for me. The hand battered chicken tenders look promising, and the batter is good and there's a fine chunk of chicken in them, but they're soggy. Unfortunate! The hot-dog arrives. Possibly the biggest hot dog I've ever seen. But there's too much going on. It's again too hot for wife and it's so messy you can't pick it up, which is always a shame when it comes to hot dogs. There's too many things on it that you can't decipher one thing from another, so it just looks and tastes a mess. We really wanted to try one of desserts, in particular the deep fried chocolate chip cookie dough, which is also recommended to us by the waiter, but we're just too full. We both leave weighed down with bloated tummys, neither of us feeling wonderful. The Twisted Rooster does your run of the mill food with a twist, something the Crooked Goose doesn't pull off as successfully. It was hit and miss, and not the meal or the experience we we're hoping for on our night off. It was good but not great, promise but with no delivery. The best thing going for it is the venue itself, which is nice and atmospheric and clean. For my money, Rooster beats Goose.
Crooked Goose is still pretty new (7/12) so the wait was a little long. It was worth it! We got the Gator Tail appetizer, recommened by a few fellow yelpers and a neighor who spoke highly. It was fantastic. The sauce served with it was just the right spice. Menu description "tender wicked better fried spiced alligator tail with ancho aloli sauce". My dinner entree was a hard decision as it was my first visit. People have been talking up their specialty grilled cheeses, but in the end I was sold on the Red Hot Honey Chicken Club - "grilled chicken breast smothered in red hot-honey sauce, chopped bacon, caramelized sweet onion, cheddar cheese, lettuce and tomato on a sesame seed bun". It was awesome! If you like a little sweet heat, this is for you. I'm not a huge bacon fan so next time I will get without. Speaking of huge, the sandwiches are HUGE!! No way I could eat it all. Took half the sandwich and fries home. Could split with a friend next time :) Tons of Steak fries and good season to them. My husband got the Wild Fire Chicken Sandwich - "Cajun and chipotle spiced chicken breast with garlic-bacon cream cheese, crisp onion straws, smoked gouda cheese and ancho-aloli sauce on a sesame seed bun" He said it was fantastic. This one was huge too, and he didn't finish it either. The garlic-bacon cream cheese was a little rich for him so he took some off, otherwise it was great. Tons of local Michigan ingredients all over the menu including some great craft beers on tap and in bottle. Happy hour specials during the week include half off appetizers and drafts 3-6pm. Wednesdays are 49c drafts and 49c wings 5-8pm! Too many things on the menu sounding great, we'll be back for sure.

Fast becoming my favorite Mexican Restaurant in GR. THE The food is great and plentiful, they keep the chips and salsa refilled without charge and the drinks are very tasty.special requests are handled without drama.
Visited 2-15-14 ok.. i have to tell you.... I love authentic mexican and this place appeared to be a great place. It's not. First it took an hour to get our food once we finally placed the order. They weren't that busy. Other than the person who simply ordered the quesadilla, none of our orders (4 ppl) came complete or correct. The waitress, although nice didn't understand English well enough to take our orders. I ordered the Xochimilco Special. It was anything but special. Luke warm and the plate was as if it has water in the plate before they placed the food. Was not tasty and for $10.99 I didn't expect soggy food. I would have sent it back, but didnt want wait another hour.. Wife ordered a burrito that showed it on the menu with beans, rice, and the usual trimmings... Know what she got? A burrito. that's it. $13.00 Our friends has the same, similar experience. Honestly, I wouldn't have paid Taco Bell rates for this food. In fact; I challenge you to go to Taco Bell, and order the same food from Cinco and compare. Taco Bell would win cada vez. So, I know this is my review and others have given them good reviews, so enter at your own risk. I would not go back.
Best Mexican food I have had in West Michigan! It's actually real authentic Mexican cuisine, not that knock off stuff you find at 90% of restaurants. Service was fast and friendly. Highly recommended!

The food was inexpensive but the floors were dirty, strewn with food and paper. I would not want to see what goes on in the kitchen.
If this is "the poor man's Olive Garden", then call me poor. We came here the other day after having some of their breadsticks the night before. My mother-in-law brought those home as a side for our dinner. These are so good. They are like Olive Garden's except way better. They actually have a garlic flavoring to them. I was standing in front of the menu trying to decide what to order and the lady said that the breadsticks were never ending. What?! Really? I was considering just ordering breadsticks before she said that. I decided to just go with the spaghetti and meat sauce. Typical spaghetti, nothing great, but definitely not bad. Husband had the pizza which he seemed to thoroughly enjoy. We will come back for some cheaper, fast Italian food and those awesome breadsticks.
Also known as the poor man's Olive Garden, Fazoli's Italian Restaruant is actually pretty good. The times I've gone have been those moments where I'm craving Italian food and a) don't want to shell out the $$$ for Olive Garden and b) when Chef Boyardee probably won't suffice. On the menu some of the tasty meals are cheese ravioli with meat sauce and the sampler. Free breadsticks when you dine is always nice too. The only semi-negative thing I can think of is that most of their meals, even though there is variety, taste the same. Nevertheless, Fazoli's has always been a reliable Plan B Italian restaurant for me. Check it out next time you're in the area or have less than $7.00 to spend on an Italian meal.

We've ordered take-out upwards of 15 times and we usually try to give mouth breathers at least 10 extra minutes. Always slow, usually wrong. 20 minutes longer wait than they told us wen placing the order. Seriously bad. Screw this place.
Buffalo Wild Wings in Walker on Alpine is a very busy restaurant. Especially on game days! You'd better come early! My very aspect of this BWW however is the takeout. With a simple phone call, you can have wings ready to go in about 15 minutes. They have a seperate counter to check out (and bypass all the people waiitng for tables). The girls are very friendly, and quick to wait on you. The take-out staff are accurate and haven't ever made a mistake on any of my orders, and I eat here quite a bit! I'm really impressed and cannot figure out why they only have 3 stars. In my book the great service with the quick, accurate, hot food makes this easily 4 STARS!
Terrible service. Manager was snippy and had a very aloof attitude about an older patron in our group not having their ID but wanting a beer (he was born during the Carter Administration!). Staff apparently refuses to use common sense and this company has lost my business and earned a ton of negative word-of-mouth.

The food is still good. I always go back to the same things to eat because I love them. The waitress who are supposed to be refilling the drinks are slow and never seem to be around. The people who get plates off the tables do a lot and work hard and seem to do more for customers than the waitress. I can never seem to say no to going here when I'm in grand rapids.
Not a bad place to eat, the service we had was very good Quincy and Tacharra took really good care of us. It was CRAZY busy when we came in Saturday evening the line was out the door. The food was pretty good, but for 11.95 can't complain much. The steak was very good and well flavored. The cook behind the grill was doing a nice job. Big profs to the staff. They were all working there butt off to get tables cleared and get people seated. Not sure it is this busy all of the time, but be prepared to wait. The chocolate fountain is always a hit and the deserts were tasty. I only gave it three stars because while the food was not bad and the service was good, the bathrooms were disgusting. Once we made them aware of it they were on it. I would come back here again.
The best of the buffets I've had around here. The food is a step (way) above what you get from old country but at the same time you could get an entree at a lot of really good places for what you pay here. We game the system by coming at three and just staying for dinner! Surprisingly good quality and selection. I had the breakfast once and that's pretty good as well. I've always had very nice service too.
