I was hanging out with some friends and it seems like everybody orders jets pizza by default around here (which is ok) but I was pushing for something different. So we gave blue-collar pizza try. The pizza was pretty good, but we all agreed that we thought the sauce was missing something. Now, the garlic knots were amazing and definitely would order those again. Our delivery girl was super sweet. All in all we would definitely order from these guys again.

We ordered from here last night and I have say their grinders sucked! Worse food I ever had!

I really wanted to like this place. I'm new to the area and wanted try something other than the big franchises in the area--some local independent places. In September I ordered a square mushroom pizza for pickup. When I got there, I noticed at least three very young children in the kitchen. The employee who rang up my order was carrying a toddler while giving me the change. I can understand not having a babysitter available, but having kids running around big pizza ovens can't be safe. Now onto the pizza. I'm a self-proclaimed expert at pizza and in my opinion, this one was terrible. The crust was overly doughy and not quite cooked all the way through. My biggest complaint was the sauce: it was just tomatoes. I couldn't taste any seasonings. Nothing. It seemed like they opened can of crushed tomatoes and spread it on the crust. I could've made a better pizza at home. I was very disappointed. Maybe they were having an off night, considering all the children running around, so I'll give them two stars. I don't think I'll try them again.

Ordered delivery from here for the first time ever. I was tired of Jets. I placed the order on GrubHub, then I called to check on it. The delivery was great they found me, I only live about .5 miles away. The Ex Large Round Pizza with pepperoni and Bacon was delicious. I also ordered some regular wings they were great also. This was a great experience and is a good choice for the pizza lover if you havent given them a chance try it.

Give them a try-its gooood pizza, and knots! And fresh salad ingredients. But, its the GREAT prices, that sold me. Their coupon never expire, a large 3-topping pizza for $9.99. Can't beat that! And they use the lil old world pepperoni, that cup-up.... YUM!!

Best pizza, and best prices around. Always ready for pick up when they said. Large with 3 toppings is only $10.00 can't beat it.

These guys run a good simple, no-frills family pizza joint specializing in traditional pan round and of course Detroit square pizzas. Since moving to the Shelby area, my wife and I have gotten their $8.99 for a large pizza with 3-toppings a handful of times and we have found it to be the best marriage between quality and value in the area so far. Furthermore, they will give you two of the said pizzas for a combined $16.99, so if you have a handful of people to feed you can save even more. Admittedly, we have not adventured into their menu more, but it seems like pizza is their main offering. We also appreciate that their cheese, bread, and toppings all taste fresh and real. I like that they use plenty of cheese and not too much sauce. And you gotta love the old-school pepperonis that curl up a little when cooked. They do not serve that cookie cutter taste that the big chains put into production. Don't go here expecting gourmet pizza of course - but it is perfect for those "don't feel like cooking" nights! This is a solid place where you get a little more than what you pay for and I like that. Blue Collar pizza is a hard working pizza joint that will continue to earn our business.

Absolutely outstanding cheese bread, sauce and pies. I think a true test is a cheese pizza and theirs was perfect. We also ordered a meet lovers pizza and that was very good as well. The cheese bread and sauce were spot on (a little touch of sugar) and reminded me of the pizza place I worked at when I was a kid. Did I mention how fast the delivery was? Mama Mia!

A friend recently brought over a large square pizza from this location. It had pepperoni and bacon on it with Cajun style crust. I didn't expect the pizza to be that good. It was the best pizza I've had in a long time. Everything about the pizza was above average. If they had a closer location I could see myself visiting this business a couple times a month. When I was told the price, I was very surprised! I've bought that same type of pizza from competitors in the past and it cost nearly double and had half the taste. Keep up the good work guys!

Im not a pizza lover bc it seems all pizza places have the cheap taste and rubber cheese. But WOW, total shocked my taste buds!!!! This pizza was delicious! We got a large Chicken and cheese. (only paid 8 bucks!) The chicken was marinated, and the pizza was full of flavor! I wish they had more locations! I will be back...(maybe tomorrow)

3 & 1/2 actually. It was OK. Me and the crotch fruit were out on the east side without the "Fun Governor" (Wife poo poo's any new pizza!) and I checked Yelp to see what new / interesting pizza we could try while out on this side of town. I was really jazzed to try Blue Collar and once again...it was OK. The place was easy to find, very clean and bright, the owner is the nicest, warmest, hardest working woman in the world, she couldn't have been cooler to us if she gave us free sandwiches. (She bakes her own bread by the way....smelled pretty wizard.) She apparently makes her own meatballs as well. (Unfortunately she only uses ground beef instead of adding pork and veal(for that truly DOPE mball!)) But, I don't know anyone who does (not cost effective I am sure), I barely know anyplace that actually MAKES their own let alone makes them like a BOSS. (so, I dunno wtf I am complaining about!) At any rate, it is not as dense as Detroit style or Jets, etc...it is a little bit lighter but I cannot complain at all. It was pretty OK but the excellent value is just absurd. 8 Bones for a large square 3 item? You cannot beat that deal, ridiculous! I'd like to try some sandwiches or some other menu items next time...... but realistically, I have a feeling that if I find myself anywhere near this side of town, I would prolly head to Cloverleaf.

A little tired of our usual pizza provider, my wife and I decided to give Blue Collar a try. Excellent round pizza with old school pepperoni and a flavorful sauce. Also really dug their "knots," or breadstick bites. This place was stood out. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality and value. Next time you're looking for a solid pizza, take a Blue Collar Original out for a spin. You won't be disappointed.

I wanted to try a new pizza place and checked Yelp for something in our area. Blue Collar Pizza isn't far so I placed an order for a square pepperoni, a BBQ chicken and their knots. The pizzas themselves were standard deep dish pizza, but with fresh ingredients and a tasty sauce. The knots were basically pizza dough wound into little knots and garnished with parmesan, garlic and olive oil. Everything was outstanding! I do prefer the traditional Jets Bread but for something just a little different, I will come back to Blue Collar Pizza. The service on the phone and at pick up were great as well.

Blue Collar Pizza is the real deal. Fresh high quality ingredients make all the difference. We ordered for a bunch of guys at work. The locals agreed that this the best pizza in town. A few even commented better than shields and other popular places in the area. Being from California (The land of mediocre chain pizza) this was a real treat for me. Family owned and independent this is a great pick in Macomb if you are tired of Jets! Give them a try you won't be disappointed.

First time ordering from Blue Collar but certainly not my last! I had a coupon for a Large pizza and Salad (3 toppings on the pizza, round or square, free flavored crust, choice between at least 4 salads) I ordered round; ham, onion, and green pepper and Caesar salad. The pizza was amazing. Seriously in my Top 5. Perfect sauce ratio, ample cheese, and fresh and plenty toppings. The salad looked great, but it was iceberg lettuce not Romaine, and just lacking an overall Caesar quality. HOWEVER, it was FRESH and tasty. The croutons and dressing were on the side. The Caesar dressing is oil based, not creamy - just an FYI. It was really good. The salad looked like it would serve 2-4 people as a side (as it did come with a Large pizza). My review would be 5-stars had it come Romaine lettuce. I will be ordering from them again. They do have a specialty pizza menu and I am curious about their "coney" pizza. They also offer a variety of grinders and bread sticks. For the price, I'm not sure you could get much better quality vs. price around these parts. * Updating 8-4-12 * I changed my rating to 5-stars because this business is SUPERIOR to all other pizza places. Every single pizza I've ordered is delicious and pleasing to the eye. The grinders are superb. The chicken strips are better than I've had in restaurants. I don't order pizza from anywhere else anymore. Wonderful staff, delicious quality pizza and grinders, enough menu to not bore you - it's an A+ business.

Blue Collar Pizza is fantastic and cheap. Always cooked to perfection with the right amount of browning for a clean crisp and crunchy taste. The folded pizza surprised me as I expected a version of the calzone, but it was much more delicious. My whole family loves pizza, and when they tried Blue Collar Pizza, they all want to come back for more. Excellent pizza at a great price....

Blue Collar Pizza is a friendly neighborhood pizza joint at 23 and Hayes. Their pizza is comparable to Jet's detroit square, but at a much more reasonable price! Ordered from there for the first time this weekend, and the pizza had just the right amount of cheese and toppings without being too greasy like other mainstream national chains. Will definitely be ordering their knots next time...they looked garlicy good! BTW... Joann is the sweetest! I hope you all get to meet her, she is the epitome of what a small town business owner should be. She is caring, kind, generous and willing to cater to your every pizzalicious need. I love supporting local businesses like this one. I hope you all do to!

Best pizza we've had in the area and at an amazing value. The staff is very friendly and willing to go the extra mile to make sure everything is perfect. They also have a loyalty program that gets you a percent off your next purchase.
