I visited this restaurant today and was blown away by the quality of the food and friendliness of our server. Beth Ann made us feel like family. The restaurant has been open for only 4 months so is a bit hard to find nestled away in a corner of the shipping center, but it is well worth the trip. They specialize in salads, sandwiches, stir fry and"saraps", which are salad wraps. The menu is large and contains a vast array of delicious possibilities. Beth Ann took us through the menu, asking what we liked and then recommending dishes. We took be recommendations and tried the chicken dumpling soup and lemon rice soup. So good. She told us that the food was all freshly prepared and healthy as well as being delicious. They even create and make their own dressings, of which there are over 30 varieties. We loved the Bahama mama salad with grilled chicken. This includes Michigan cherries, almonds, walnuts, pecans, mandarin orange, pineapple and coconut. Scrumptious. We also got the Greek salad and a gyro to share. The salads are huge and a small can satisfy 3 people. The meal also cane with warm pita bread. The strawberry Greek dressing was our favorite. We ended up taking food home to eat later and are still talking about how great the food was and how wonderful beth Ann was. We met her mother and nephew as well. This was a special occasion made even more special by the wonderful feast and service. There are currently two other locations: Southfield and Brighton. hank you salad shop. We can't wait to return!

AWESOME FOOD! Brooke was an excellent waitress who recommended the Tex-Mex and boosted how good the chicken is...and she was totally right! The nice part is that when you order any of their 30 dressings they bring the bottle to you ... so you can put it on the side, try it out or pour it on.

the wife stated hey let's go and get a salad for dinner. I was like YAY salad for dinner NOT , I'm not a rabbit I don't like salads. So after her not letting it go I said sure why not hopefully I can find something else to eat than a salad. We get there and get seated right away and looking over the menu I thought I would try the fiesta bowl salad with gyro meat. The salad came and it was huge. I asked for a to go box and put half in it. I used two salad dressings the Steak Greek and the Honey Greek they where both great. The salad was amazing and I'm not a fan of salad. But I will be back to try another salad.

This place knows how to make a salad! I recommend the Grilled Shrimp Oriental Salad with Asian Sesame dressing! My company also had them cater with good salads such as Chicken Tex Mex salad!

Gluten free friendly, vegan friendly. They have a great menu of salads and stir fries. You can custom make anything. Tons of dressings to choose from, I think there's 40. Ladies working there are friendly and chill. It's clean too!!! I recommend this place, they have indulgent and healthy options. Not a huge fan of the country music playing in the background though ;)

I am giving five stars because this is the first time I ever got a salad and then didn't even bother to put the dressing on it because it was so good. Although, the dressing they brought, I tasted and all 3 were outstanding (I was with 2 other people). I got the asian salad, with mixed greens and chicken. That was the best seasoned chicken I've ever had on a salad. They chop the whole salad up, which I love, and wish everyone would do this. I can't wait to go back and try some more.

This place is amazing! I could come here everyday and eat their salads. They have a huge variety of salads and you can even make your own. There are also over 30 dressings to choose from. I got the tex mex salad with the chicken and it was delicious. The chicken was full of flavor. Besides salads they have a long list of stir fry entrees, sandwiches and wraps, as well as some soups. Service is great. Beth Ann is truly a delight. Will be coming back for sure.

Well here it is my first review every after many years of yelping, eating, and traveling I finally decided to start and I'm glad it's this restaurant. The place is located in the corner of a plaza with Kroger, ups store and cleaners. It's kinda hard to find at first since the sign is a little small. Inside there were booths and up in front was a selection of their homemade dressing. Our waitress, Betty Ann, was so amazing. Since we had never been there she offered suggestions and even brought out a sample of the soup to sample since we couldn't decide. She also gave us suggestions for what type of salad dressing that would go well with our selection. She ended up bringing out 6 dressing so that we could try. My favorite was the poppy seed, Greek , and strawberry balsamic. We ended up creating our own salad. You get to choose your type of leaf with 6 items. I selected the romaine, red onions , tomatoes , hard boiled egg, corn , garlic toasted croutons , and blue crumbled cheese with the addition of salmon. The meat cost more depending on which one you get. The chicken is delicious since I stole some from my sister. We also got the chicken soup dumplings high was excellent to. My favorite place to get a salad hands down.

Based off of the reviews I was really excited to try this place. It's hard to find a place that does good salads that aren't ridiculously overpriced, and when they do stir fry too..... well, I'm all about it. The menu has a ton of options for salads and stir frys, but you can also create your own. I opted to do so and got the stir fry with brown rice, onion, green pepper, carrot, mushroom, broccoli, and sweet peas. It came out pretty quickly and was enormous!! I'm a pretty big eater, and this was enough to feed me for at least a few meals! The waitresses all were very nice and extremely attentive. I can't wait to come back and try something else!

Been twice. I do the make your own salad which you pick the lettuce and 6 toppings. Doesn't sound like much but you end up with a huge salad for $7. They also have premade concoctions which sound tasty. They have 3 different types of lettuce, probably 30 toppings, a few premium toppings and over 30 different types of dressing which all come on the side. Order more than one dressing and you can test out which one you prefer. All salads come with a piece of pita. If you prefer, you have make it a pasta salad instead of lettuce. Yum.

I've been here multiple times and the chicken is bomb! You can't get grilled chicken like this anywhere else. And the Greek dressing? Actually all of the dressings are terrific. Truly a one of a kind place. You have never had a real salad until you get it from here!

Decided to check this place out today and we loved it. I ordered a chicken stirfry which was amazing and my girlfriend ordered a build your own salad with chicken. Ok so they have all these amazing homemade dressing and we tried some which were so good. But the chicken was so flavorful that it didn't even need dressing. This will be our new spot. Healthy food with amazing flavor. The staff was super friendly also. A must try

Manager sent the following... And won't stop.... Why not just carry Tofu? And own up to the mistake?....read below. Would never support this guy. Too bad. I apologize for your last couple visits here. We are not a chain corporation with countless resources at our disposal. I'm one man trying to bring real, whole, healthy food to people that are conscious of what they eat. I hand pick almost all of the food that comes in to Tomas! It is a painstaking task to do so but its a labor of love. Now for the fact that we do not always stock all the items on the menu, I am a small business that cannot stay afloat with any waste. I buy in proportion to my business in order to keep my product as fresh as possible and cut all waste. Tofu , to my dismay is not as popular as I had planned it would be. Therefore, it used to get thrown out often which comes at a loss. Now I buy it conservatively to avoid waste. I would be more then happy to accommodate you with tofu if you could please call ahead say an hour in advance to let me know you will be in for tofu. Kroger a is next door and that gives me time to buy it in case I don't have any stocked. After I received above... He sent this... For your tip at: Tomas Salad Shop No, YOU need to call ahead for the tofu! Your so understanding. I bet you've never called on McDonald's or any other corporate chain but you feel the need to pick on us? Truly you are the reason why.

New place. Finally open. Great food, friendly service, GINORMOUS portions. The menu is a bit overwhelming at first, but once you get the hang of it, there is everything from sandwiches, soups, wraps (called salaps), and so called stir-frys, though not really Asian ingredients. Prices are good, especially for the volume you get. There is a veritable plethora of salad dressing options, and when you dine in, they bring you many many to try. Bathrooms are neat and clean, and even have mouthwash to clear out your anchovy-caesar breath before you go back to work. Great new lunch place. I will definitely be back!!

Recently tried this place with some friends, we all ordered a different salad & sampled each. So fresh & delicious - just like their home made dressings! The staff was super friendly, especially our server BethAnn. I would definitely recommend this place to friends & family!

I love this place!! The salads are always crisp and fresh. They definitely give you your moneys worth. I love the variety of dressings they have. Raspberry greek and tex mex are 2 of my favorite dressings. This place isnt just salad!!

Best salad I've tasted. I got the Fiesta Bowl with Tex Mex dressing. Marinated chicken was hyped by Brook, our excellent waitress, but it absolutely lived up to it. Delicious whole wheat warm pita on the side. I love how they leave bottles of dressing (they have 30) to try. Note: This is my first Yelp review (although I have used Yelp for many years) - I feel compelled to review because I have a new favorite lunch spot.

This place is AMAZING... salads are chopped super small, portions are GIGANTIC, salad dressings are delicious. Nothing near store bought stuff. Their chicken is phenomenal. Not only that but the owners and workers there are fantastic - they just come and talk to you like you're their own family. This place is above average all around and a great value. The atmosphere is laid back and they are great with kids (little kids love seeing the flaming cheese lit!!) THIS IS A MUST TRY!!!

Food is excellent but you can't count on them being open during their posted hours. I've tried to eat lunch here on a Saturday 3 times in the last few months only to find them closed. How can you run a business like that?

Tried tomas for first time. Big mistake! Asked for water with lemon. They were out of lemon? Tried to order cup of soup and was told "we don't have soup in summer. " Had a Fatoush salad very mediocre and was served by an 8-10 year old kid with 2 earrings. I am not making this up. Music blaring in the background from a radio station airing commercials every 3 minutes. This place will be gone by Thanksgiving!

I'm new to the area, so still trying out new restaurants and figuring out what my go'to places for lunch will be. Based on Yelp reviews, I decided to check out this place today. Also based on Yelp reviews, I ordered the small Bahama Mama salad with grilled chicken and got it to go. I was a little surprised by my total ($12.70) since the menu lists a small salad without chicken as only $6.99. So I guess chicken is $5? I got back to work, opened the bag, and no chicken. So much for that $5. There was a piece of grilled pita bread, which was super tasty. The dressing (poppy seed) was really good, and I'd love to try some of the others. The salad itself was... okay. Lots of toppings, but the pineapple and oranges were the mostly flavorless canned variety. I would have liked more nuts, or something else to cut the sweetness. I called about the chicken, she apologized profusely and asked if I wanted to come back and get it. When I told her my lunch hour was over, she offered me free chicken on my next visit and took my name. I definitely would have preferred my money back (in whole or full), but I guess now I'll be going back to try it again.

Wow, really, really, really good! Fresh vegetables, and my Greek Salad was topped with grilled marinated chicken. Chicken was cooked to order, and the salad comes with all the ingredients chopped. Although I sampled just a bit of both the Spinach Greek and Greek dressings, ( which were both very good, and homemade), the Greek Salad with grilled chicken didn't need dressing! Flavors were wonderful. The portion size could easily accommodate sharing (I only ate less than half a small). I can not wait to go back and try a different salad. Staff was very friendly and helpful, which was great as the menu can be a little intimidating. Lots and lots of choices.

Wow! That is really all that comes to mind here. This place is nestled in a corner. Please don't get discouraged finding it. It is in the Kroger plaza tucked in a remote corner of the plaza. Now on to the good stuff! I have wanted to try this place since seeing a coupon long ago. Never used the coupon but it never left my mind that I wanted to try this place. I love a great salad. I have never liked Big Salad. Gave it a few tries and just bland and over priced. Therefore my go to place has been Insalda. Not anymore (sorry Mickey). It being a holiday I called first to make sure they were open. To my delight they were. My sister, daughter and I walked in and were immediately greeted and told to sit where we wanted. The menu isn't complicated. Lots of salads they have already on their menu that are popular and then a build your own salad. (They also have build your own stir fry but didn't try one of those).oh and the salad comes chopped which many place charge for that!! My sister got the Greek and loved it. My daughter got a chicken pita sand which which and also enjoyed it. I did the create ur own. OMG so many choices in lettuce types, toppings and home,ade dressings! I got a spinach salad with black beans, chick peas, egg, red onion and mushrooms. I could decide on a dressing because there were so many so they brought a tray of different ones to try. I feel in love with the strawberry poppyseed. The chicken I got on top has a seasoning that is out of this world. I tried to get them to tell me the secret with no luck but man I'm craving it just writing this. The pita bread was like no other. Heated with a slight crispness to it. The portions are huge. We ordered small salads and took half home. My youngest daughter that hates salads actually ate my leftovers and can't wait to go there. If I had one complaint and please don't judge the review on this one thing was we also got a gyro. That was very bland but I wasn't there for that. Figured I'd try it not knowing how huge my salad would be. So now I've rambled about how much I loved this place. I hope many of you out there iin yelp space find this gem. It's hidden and I'd be heartbroken if they were to ever leave just because of the s#^{**~y location. You have a fan here. Hope u r around a long time or I will have to grovel going back to Insalada.

I happened to be craving salad when I left visiting my grandmother and so I used my trusty yelp app. I came across toma's and I noticed nothing but five-star reviews so naturally I looked into it and I decided to go and boy I am glad I did. Right away, I noticed the vast selection of dressings and the straightforward menu and the friendly atmosphere was very apparent. I decided to build my own salad and I ordered a medium and I thought it was an extra large , nonetheless the salad was beautiful plentiful and flavorful. Definitely five stars and I'd give it a another star if I could. I definitely will be back and if you are in the area make sure you stop and check out this place because the next time I go there I'm definitely starting with the salad but can't wait to try their stirfrys. I honestly cannot say enough great things about this place and my experience so I will stop here and let you find out for yourselves. Bon appétit

Yum! Had takeout for lunch at work and got to try the Greek salad, the fiesta bowl salad and the Bahama mama. All three were fantastic. We had the Greek dressing, tex mex dressing and strawberry Greek dressings for the salads. The salads were fresh and looked great! The tasted amazing. The dressings were awesome. I can't wait to go back to get another fiesta bowl salad - and the tex mex dressing - to die for!!

The chicken is fantastic. Doesn't matter if it's in a salad or gyro, you'll be very happy with the taste. I don't know what they use as a marinade, but I do know it's some of the best seasoning combination I've had. I've had a couple of their bowls and both times the rice was a bit dry (the brown and yellow... didn't matter). Doesn't matter because I'd get their chicken all day. Carry out is quick and the service is friendly.

After driving around the shopping mall a few times trying the find this place, I finally did and I sure was happy I didn't give up the search. Had the grilled chicken Greek salad with baby spinach and light Greek dressing. It was fantastic. Plan on going back again and again!!!!! As for the staff, the three ladies that helped my sister and I were very friendly and helpful Nice job Toma's!

This place is a hidden gem! Extremely finely chopped salad. They have a wide variety. You can order a customized salad or build your own. Staff is so helpful and friendly. The place is simple and clean. They make their own sauces and it's incredible. So much options you will be overwhelmed with joy. Definitely advise you to try of you haven't.

Great good, excellent service and a fun time! I am a former food service manager so I really scrutinize all the places to eat when I go out. This place was worth the drive from Canton, food, service, menu choices that are healthy and cooked to order. Very nicely decorated and super clean, even the bathroom sparkle. Staff is friendly, handled the lunch crowd with ease, greeted everyone at the door as they entered. Can't wait to go back to try something different, the salads with grilled marinated chicken and homemade dressings rocked!!! See you again soon :)

Wow dare I say this is the best salad I have ever eaten. There's so much going on in it, it doesn't feel like I'm eating a salad but a meal with lettuce in it! I ordered the fiesta chicken salad. Got the fiery tex mex dressing, which is pretty spicy- might just get the Tex Mex dressing next time. Can't wait to go back!

My office is in the same plaza as Toma's. Very friendly staff, always willing to walk over our take-out orders and they usually give us 10% off. :) The portions are huge! I always have left overs. The pita bread is delicious too! Only reason I am not giving it a 5 star is because I will have garlic breath for the rest of the day when I eat Toma's lol. The "light" greek dressing is basically watered down, I would prefer less garlic and dill.

Wow! Pleasantly surprised does not even come close to what I'm feeling! Stopped in for something "different" and boy did I get it! The staff was extremely helpful and friendly but the food is amazing! I got the Bahama Mama small salad (which is easily two meals) with chicken. There is some secret sauce of mythical proportions on this chicken. It is seriously some of the most flavorful I've had and I eat out quite a bit with the nature of my job. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND trying them out and staying a while. Very comfortable atmosphere.

Visiting my inlaws this week and decided to give Tomas a try after seeing the other five star reviews. Wow I wished they had a shop like this in Houston! The owners were so nice and gave us 6 different dressing to try with the bahama mama salad. The portion ($8.99 Christmas special+$2 chicken topping) was humongous. I shared a chicken gyro and the salad with my wife and we still had leftover to take home. The chicken gyro was the best I ever had! Their secret is definitely the grilled chicken as other reviewers suggested. I will definitely come back every time I am in town.

One of the best Greek (and otherwise) restaurants I've come across. The food is almost a spiritual experience. The customer service is 5 star. Super friendly and fast. The gyros is to die for...any dish you get is heaped to capacity with food and excellent service. The chef cooks like he's in love. I get carry out there at least 3-4 times a week. You've got to try this place, you won't be disappointed!!!:)
