I'm not from here and I don't understand the obsession with coney island. I guess coney island in MI means hot dogs? I don't get where the greek food comes into play either. Perhaps I need some Michigander to educate me. I mean I just recently learned about Dream Cruise. The food here was quick, unassuming, and basically A-OK. The hot dog was sort of tough like a Kielbasa (weird!) and I didn't really like Detroit style after all but I figured I should try it. I also tried the baklava cuz I was curious but I threw most of it away. I'm sure this is good enough for a quick lunch just like any other chain (Arby's, Wendy's, McD's) but it isn't for me unless they install a drive thru.

Growing up in the Detroit area, I was born to love Coney Island... it's in my blood, part of my heritage and I'm darn happy about it. One of my faves is Kerby's Koney Island. They have a location just down the street from my office and have become my guilty lunch pleasure - 2 Koneys (sans onions) are never a healthy decision... but they sure taste good! Today I was craving a salad and Kerby's has GREAT Greek salads... crisp, fresh lettuce; good, crumbled feta; beets; kalamata olives; tomato slices; chick peas (which are like little golden nuggets on a good salad); and the best Greek dressing ever. I'm sooooo picky about dressing but Kerby's dressing is really, really good; not creamy (like Niki's) and doesn't have a strong vinegar taste (like Leo's) - just a little bit sweet , like me :-) This place is packed during lunch; I usually get mine to go and eat at my desk. They've got the carryout deal down to a science and if you call it in, they'll have it ready in less than 10 min. Good Greek specialties, best koneys around town and a friendly waitstaff that have been there forever makes Kerby's a Troy lunchtime fave! By the way, July is 99 cent Koney month!

The service is fast and friendly. This is the best Kerbys for that reason. The food quality is consistent. I love the coneys and patty melts.

My daughter loves this greasy spoon diner more than any other coney in this state. Creamy chicken lemon rice soup which isn't watered down, fries with a great crunch, sweet servers who always are mega-friendly and swift on their feet. Great for a cheap, quick meal and much better than Leo's or National which only tasted good during my heely early 20s, and only then when drunk. But I digress...

Don't order out here. Never pick up your food. If you must, check your order before you leave. They started to get better, but this past Sunday, I walked into four girls behind the counter scrambling to fill 4 orders. They got 3 of those 4 orders wrong, including mine. I ended up having to buy a cup of chili separate because they screwed up our order. I gave the manager a piece of my mind, and am fully done with this location. I'm normally an incredibly easy to please guys, but these people love pushing my buttons.

A fine coney island - good lemon rice soup. Super quick and friendly service. Nothing special, but a good value for a fast meal.

I like Coney Islands and have eaten at a lot of them. Kerby's is a good choice. It's clean and bright, and service is good. The menu is pretty standard for a southeast Michigan Coney Island with a few Greek specialties. I've had both breakfast and lunch here, and they're both done well. The omelets are big and tasty and come with crispy hashbrowns. The pita wraps are good for lunch, especially the Greek one.

I eat lunch here about 2 times a month and it is always fast, cheap, and good. Service is usually friendly and attentive and the food is good, usually stick with lemon rice soup and greek salad. Never had any issues, but my only complaint is the place could use a face lift and sprucing up.

Ordered a chicken tender wrap with no mayonnaise (carry-out). Was told by the girl at the register they don't put any sauce on the wraps. When I drove all the way home, I peeled back the wrap JUST to be sure. To my displeasure... mayo on my wrap. With so many other (better) options in the area, tread with caution and check your order before biting in!

Nice wait staff. French toast was good. Nice hot dreads coffee. BUT... Bathrooms were gross. Makes you wonder what the kitchen is like...

Dirty, dirty, dirty place. Dead cockroaches on floor near doors to bathrooms. Great thing to see after you have just finished your breakfast here. Won't be back.

I do not like coney islands restaurant at all but I love the food at this one. Best skillets, best veggie omelet and always quick to keep refilling your coffee which I love. Manager always a sweet heart making sure everything ok. Prices are reasonable for how much food you receive. Lots of parking side and behind. Only suggestion owner needs to invest in wi-fi bad.
