The staff at Sals is always so friendly and welcoming! Kimmy, the owner, is also one of the nicest people you will meet! She runs a great restaurant and the food is awesome! My favorite is the tri-colored tortellini - yum! You definitely will not be disappointed!!

I hear their bread sticks are amazing, but I wasn't impressed. Fried and rolled in a spice blend similar to Olga's snackers. Good, but I thought they were too spiced and heavy. For a small town, there aren't a lot of options, but Sal's seems to be a popular place with a lot of history. Sal's has kept its charm and menu, through a couple ownership changes. The newest addition was the catering room. I didn't peek in but glad to know there are other options for large groups in the area. Three of us visited for dinner on a Sunday evening. The All You Can Eat pizza, salad, and soup is a good deal at $8.99 and they make the pizzas fresh, by request. Two soup options, and though the salad bar is small, it's surprisingly very good. I ordered the Chicken Carbonara substitute mushrooms instead of tomatoes. It was a huge bowl of fantastic angel hair pasta, covered in a rich cheesy cream sauce. It is enough for two to share or for tasty leftovers the next day. With the side of garlic bread, it was a real Italian meal. My husband has the lasagna with a side of garlic bread as well. The Kid had a small pizza. All came out hot, fresh and very good. The service was impeccable. The young lady was very nice and professional - though the other employees were being loud and immature. I just wish I could remember her name.

My husband and I just ate here and the reviews are right! The breadsticks are awesome! The ranch is amazing. Their house italian is to die for. This is a hidden gem of a place. Great italian food with a friendly staff that doesn't cost a lot? Can someone pinch me?! They even have an all you can eat soup salad and pizza buffet and they make your pizza to order! Unbelievable! I can't wait to try everything on the menu! Best advice: come hungry and don't forget to order the breadsticks!

I've been here quite a few times since moving to Tecumseh and enjoy it thoroughly! All of the dinner entree's I've ordered have been great. Only reason I'm giving them 4 instead of 5 stars is for the "all you can eat pizza/salad" buffet. The pizza part is awesome, they'll make whatever kind you ask, but the salad is just like the kind out of a bag. Not very fresh or crisp, and mostly iceberg, no spinach and other super healthy things. Every other thing I've ever had there is awesome! No other complaints! Usually good beer on tap, good mixed drinks too. Their breadsticks are to DIE for!

Took my Mom out for her birthday and we not only got great food but VIP treatment as well. The staff was very attentive and the food was amazing. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and we enjoy dining there. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Sal's to anybody.

Even though the name is the same as mine I wasn't impressed. The food was ok but everything came out way too quick. From the time of our appetizer, salad and main dish it was less than 5 mins. The staff was great except they did not tell us the specials. I found out layer and I most definitely would have ordered it. Ugh Overall it was ok.

Went here for the soup, salad, and pizza lunch bar! It was delish! And they even took our request for pizza. Their soft stick breadsticks are amazing too and all for a great price. Our whole team of girls came in and we were accommodated so well! Thanks again for great food and service!

Our salon team went for a lunch on Monday. We enjoyed the pizza buffet that came with soup and salad for just $5.99! The staff was so nice and attentive, they even asked what pizzas we would enjoy on the buffet. They then proceeded to go back and make those very pizzas! Highly recommend a lunch here!

Went there for their soup, salad and pizza buffet. The food was excellent and so was the service. The pizza was fresh out of the oven and they also took requests on what pizza we wanted. Defiantly recommend going there for the lunch special. It's worth it!

I had Sal's Pizza Buffet today. I was pleasantly surprised. Nice offerings on the salad bar, 2 choices of soup, and several pizzas to try. You can't beat getting asked what kind of pizza you'd like to have them make to add to the buffet. I will be back!

Good, affordable Italian food with large portions. The breadsticks are the true selling point of this restaurant. When I'm in town, I try to make a point to go to Sal's.

Sal's in Tecumseh has recently changed owners and it is not the same. I used to love the chicken parm and my kids loved the salads because of the added things like dried grapes and cheese they put on them, both have changed. Its not bad just not the Sals it used to be.

I love Italian food and Sal's is the best Italian I've ever had. It is hearty and fresh. The portion sizes are huge - I normally head home with enough for lunch the next day. Everything on the menu is good. They have great salads, good pizza, and deep fried bread sticks that are to die for. The meat sauce is made with sausage, which is different than many other Italian restaurants and is a change for the good. This is one of those small town gems that everyone should try.

I enjoy having dinner there but I'd visit Brownie's or Basil Boys for pizza over Sal's any day. However, their breadsticks are AMAZING! Slightly twisted and deep-fried, these sticks are covered in a unique seasoning that'll probably cause you to eat the whole bag.

I LOVE SAL'S ITALIAN! They have awesome food in a very authentic setting. They make most of their food fresh every day from scratch, even things like pasta and pizza dough. I can HIGHLY recommend this place.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
