I've been here a couple times before with my mom, and although the food wasn't really anything to write home about, it wasn't gross. what a disappointment! we ordered fried mushrooms. undercooked, raw batter and cold in the middle. Mom's ribs were OK but not great...my grilled shrimp was cooked well but so salty I almost couldn't eat it. We also both ordered the mixed veggie side. It looked so good, but was in reality a very nice selection of fresh veggies - soaked in oil and SALT. way too much salt all around. I also had rice as my other side, and was kind of annoyed that they only put like one rounded tablespoon of rice on my plate. All in all we both decided to never go back. a $16 meal should not taste like a salt lick. We walked out feeling gross. F+

I've been here a few times and experienced both lunch and dinner. If you plan on coming here on a weekend (Fri or Sat) for dinner, plan ahead as they get busy. I've had both sandwiches and steaks here and the prime rib was really good. The prices are what you would expect at a decent steakhouse-type establishment.

The only mistake we made was entering through the front door. The rest was their fault. They had drink specials advertised on table tents, but did not yet have their liquor license. (okay we made two mistakes, we should have left then). We ordered the sampler platter of starters it wasn't hideous, typical fried stuff -- mozerrella sticks and the like. Long story short, ribs were less than meaty, filet was overcooked to a point that my shoes were looking delicious. The manager was creepy, when told about the overcooked steak, she did offer to make another one, but at that point we decided to cut our losses and get out of there. They didn't take the overcooked filet off the bill, but they did offer a 10% discount. Seriously? We won't be back.

Grandpa's favorite place. The food is good and I think they have a good selection but I can never find something appealing on their menu. Maybe it's just me. I am the least picky of the party but they all seem to find meals well enough. I ended up with soup and some small appetizer. Soup was good and I don't recall the appetizer but I do remember the cool half beer bottle platter it came on. Good beer specials though the selection is limited. It's worth a try. I cannot discount them for not appealing to me specifically when the rest of my family really enjoys JRs.

This is one of the only bars I go to when I visit my sister. Every time I'm here, it's packed. However, the friendly people at JR's Hometown make you feel like you live in town. Always prompt, friendly, and things arrive quickly. Your water is never empty and it's not super loud with TV's or noise. Non-bar atmosphere allows you to bring kids and elders alike. The food is ok, nothing so far that I've had that has knocked my socks off, but it's basic. If you're going through Tecumseh, stop in.

Great food, big portions and cold beer! The only improvement I would make is that the server we had made it seem like she was rushing us out the door after we ate. I would come here again because everything else was great!

Been here many times, this time I was here for lunch around 2pm. There's about 20 people in here, the service is attentive and my food arrived very fast The chicken fajita wrap was great , as was the sweet potato fries. I notice they have a different manager from last year... this one is friendlier.

This place is always packed, but they still manage to seat our golf league (usually 8-12 adults) within an hour on a Friday night! Drinks and food are good, prices are appropriate. Make sure to check out the Monday 1/2 price wings and $2 draft special, It's the best deal in town!

I've only been here once, but my experience was good enough to want to return! I had a steak salad that was awesome, while everyone else had steak dinners that must have also been great (no complaints and everyone finished their plates!). Our server was VERY nice and patient (even with one of the people at our table being slightly rude to her). I'd definitely go back and would recommend them to someone looking for a laid back place for dinner.

Went to lunch with my best friend on a Monday for their half off wings and they were great! Great service as well, they are all very nice people there! They Are actually pretty fast too for the food they crank out, thanks again for a great service!

Been here many times. There are not many good places in Tecumseh but given the options, we often eat here. The food is decent, the menu is fairly large and there is something here that will make everyone happy. I personally like the drink specials and the large martini menu :) Never had a "bad" experience here and the place is usually pretty busy.

I go for the steak dinner mainly since I dislike sports, drinking alcohol and country music. It's pretty loud in there and sometimes the service is slow if the place is crowded, so its better to go before 4pm and after noon. I also like the sauteed veggies and wild rice and salad, mushrooms. I did not like the tue tacos because they were cold, served on cold tortillas.

I love JRS, they have excellent food and customer service. The owner is a great guy who works hard. Plus 1/2 off wings (boneless too!) on Mondays are to die for..stop in you won't regret it!

Went on a Monday for the half off wings. The wings were great and the service was awesome. The waitresses are always so nice and attentive. Great place to eat!

Excellent burgers and great service. You can tell they they use high qualiy meat. Excellent lunch specials. Mondays is half price wings. We love the spicy red chili sauce.

Been there about 3 times now with great experiences each time. Atmosphere has been good (a bit loud, but that's a nice change of pace for Tecumseh). This should be one of the few go-to places if you're stuck in Tecumseh.
