I should have wrote this review a long time ago. Pizza is without a doubt my favorite food, so I tend to be kind of critical. In some cases, different tastes of pizza can just be a matter of opinion- so to keep myself from being too critical, when I try a place for the first time, I always order only a cheese and pepperoni pizza. If someone can't get a cheese and pepperoni pizza right, what is the point in trying any of their other menu options? I ordered a large cheese and pepperoni- no frills. The pizza is fantastic. The sauce is yummy, the pepperoni is great quality, and the dough- the dough is better than I can even describe. I've since been back a few times since my initial order and have ordered other menu items and have always been satisfied. I plan to order from them for my next big event! Finally a pizza place downriver that really understands pizza!

After reading the reviews here on Yelp we thought we'd give it a try. Well, after spending $46.00 we have decided it wasn't worth the money. We ordered a LG Pep Pizza, small pep, green pepper and onion pizza, bread Sticks, Cheese Bread and Lasagna. The Lasagna was so/so tasted like it was getting old. The Pizza was a big Miss for us, and greasy. Now the Bread Sticks could have been great if maybe they served them some sauce and instead of Garlic Powder used Garlic Butter, they were soft but dry because it was just garlic powder and nothing else. I didn't bother trying the cheese bread, again came with NO Sauce and they didn't suggest any sauce either. Huge Miss for this Family! Too expensive!

Ordered a pizza and small salad at 4:30p and was told 45 minutes -- it took an hour. Not a big deal, but it's not exactly the dinner rush. Salad was a decent size, but 95% iceberg lettuce. No plastic cutlery. I asked the driver about it, he said "They usually pack it if you ask them". And here I am thinking, well, I explicitly told them it was a hotel + I ordered a salad. Calculus not necessary. Pizza was doughy, sauce forgettable, and -- as with any pizza that is delivered after an hour -- cold. Food: Average Service: Meh Another place with an unjustified yelp rating.

I love checking out local businesses that I live around and trying new things. Having read all to good reviews on this place my wife and I decided to go visit Franco's for dinner. To say the least we're instant fans! As soon as you walk in it was a great pizzeria atmosphere and the smells coming out of that kitchen were out of this world. We ordered a large supreme with ranch crust. All fresh ingredients and dough make a world of difference folks and that's what you get from Franco's. We look forward to trying some of their other Italian dishes but this pizza is where its at!

I was looking for a pizzeria so after reading some reviews I choose this place and I was happy the crust was good and crispy just how I like it

I came across this new restaurant via word of mouth from a few of my Facebook friends. Boy, am I glad I gave Franco's a visit! So, the set-up: This is a mostly carry-out restaurant located in the same shopping center as Sax Pharmacy. There are two tables for two in the waiting area you're welcome to eat at. Otherwise, it's a majority carry-out and delivery restaurant. They've got a large menu (that I uploaded photos of) with pizza, subs, calzones, strombolis, pasta and more. I'm a chicken parm kind of gal, so I ordered that for $7.95. Jacob got a personal pizza and a pop (on special for $5). We told the cashier we'd be eating in. My chicken parmesan came out first (they just brought items out in the order they were ready) and it looked amazing. I got two deliciously breaded chicken breasts, a huge side of spaghetti with savory meat sauce, two pillowy pieces of garlic bread and a side salad for $8. Seriously, you can't beat that price. If this were served in a fancier setting, this was certainly an $18 meal. The breaded chicken was flawlessly seasoned and fried, and the spaghetti was excellent. I was raving about my meal for the rest of the night! Jacob's pizza came out not long after my meal. When you think personal pizza, you imagine the fast food ones served at Pizza Hut. Franco's personal pizzas are larger, about the same size as a small. The toppings were generous and spread evenly over the pizza. Jacob dug right in and immediately loved it. He said the true test of good pizza is the "cold leftover" test... and Franco's passed. They serve A+ pizza, whether it's enjoyed hot out of the oven or cold the next day. Our bill for this delicious dinner was only $13. We could easily spend that much for two subs, two pops and two bags of chips at Jimmy John's... but our money is much better spent at Franco's. Whether you're in the neighborhood or not, you've got to give this place a try. There are definitely some talented people working in their kitchen and it shows.

Wow! Some of the best non chain store pizza I have had east of Chicago. They don't skimp on the toppings and the service is always too notch. If you are looking to eat a great pizza and want to avoid the hot n ready style pies from up the street, give them a try

They were courteous and helpful. My order was delivered in the time specified and the food was terrific.

They had one table, and since we were traveling and exhausted we were grateful that they allowed us to use it. We are VEGETARIAN but desired a combo. They obliged graciously. They treated us like family. And the salad, breadsticks and pizza were all absolutely delicious. The large pizza and large salad were both humongous, and could have fed at least one more than the three in our family. We left with a warm spot in our hearts AND our stomachs!

Great service and pizza, they made the pizza and breadsticks in 20 minutes, when I got in it was really fast to get out with the food. The food itself tasted very well flavored and tasted quite well, I definitely recommend you give it a try if you are in the area. It's a great place and has very reasonable prices.

Guuh..Raaaaate. Now I am the clueless tool that broke this place from batting a thousand. My bad....I WANTED to love it. I WANT to have 5 star grease wheel, it just didn't happen. Came upon this place via Yelp last summer when I had to go to a douche bag convention (yaay! networking opportunity! Slit my throat!!) at the airport Ramada or Hilton or whatever...only caring about where I was going to get my chow on after 6 hours of mindless drivel....(Wasn't about to bump into said "douchebags" by catching pizza at Leonardo's......needed to get some distance) Found a coupon online for 2 large wheels with one topping or something and ordered. Pulled up, easy to find, SUPER clean inside. One of the owners was there and she was pretty nice. I was relatively braindead at the time and I think she was telling me they used to have a full service place(?) At any rate, service was great, value is terrific, but my large rounds were just OK. Please note, I AM a snotty asshole but pretty laid back about pizza and it was just OK. Maybe I should've done an entree? Gotta head back to L Park tomorrow and maybe check it out again??

I went in for lunch dinner. It was my boyfriend, his ex wife, their young daughter, and my pregnant self. My first instinct at a pizza place is to get a pizza roll. Always. I can accurately judge a pizza place by its pizza roll! It was only $4 so I ordered that, and I got the family deal (large pizza, breadsticks, salad, and a spaghetti). I thought that the spaghetti would be small enough for the child who loves spaghetti to eat and have dinner or lunch out of, as well, and I figured the large was a standard large... perfect for two adults to share with maybe a piece or two to take home, right? We also got mac and cheese bites because they are my boyfriend's favorite. (It's an extravagant lunch dinner, but it was a special occasion!) The total was about $40 with drinks and all the food. I thought the price was good even with my expectations of the food. After everyone was completely stuffed, we had half the pizza roll, half the huge large pizza, over half of the spaghetti, half or more of the bread left, and we didn't touch the mac and cheese bites!! I thought the pizza roll was good, but I definitely liked the pizza better. It's nothing against the roll, but the pizza was very good. It was pretty greasy because of the fresh and real ingredients, but of course that's always the best pizza in my opinion, even if you like less grease and dab some off. The pizza is spiced perfectly and the proportion of ingredients is perfect. It's all around a good pizza (see what I did there?) Honestly: I probably will only make it back once in a while because it's not really in my neighborhood. We went to this place because I met Franco several years ago and was friends with the woman he's married to now for a while when we were younger. (Hi Alyssa!) We're from Wyandotte and it's in Taylor around Wick and Pardee... an area we rarely travel to or through. HOWEVER, it's definitely not a testament to the quality of the restaurant. If you are nearby, I would DEFINITELY recommend checking the place out. The food is great and the value is great and you can't complain about that!

I was thrilled for your opening of this family-owned business. It is close to my house, so I have been waiting for that open sign to light up. I got a pizza and a cannoli and both were great! The sauce is always what I am picky about when it comes to pizza, and it was delicious. I was eyeing the cupcakes and I will be back to grab one soon. It looked like there was an Oreo cupcake and a coconut topped one. I am also looking forward to trying your Italian subs. Congratulations on a successful opening!

I swung by for lunch, with about 15 minutes to spare. Right as I walked in the door, I was greeted one of the owners, who was donning an apron and working right along with the rest of the staff. The first thing I noticed? This place is clean. I mean, ridiculously clean (for a pizza place, anyways). I ordered the $4 (!) special; a personal pizza with one topping (I chose pepperoni) and a can of pop. I waited about 10 minutes, which isn't bad at all, all while sitting down (two chair/table sets inside) watching the Tigers game. I appreciated that, unlike most pizza places, the AC was on, working, and I wasn't sitting there sweltering from the heat of the pizza ovens. I opened my take-out box and this thing is huge. I mean, almost overlapping the take-out box. They use "real" pepperoni, not the huge cut out circles you find in the package at the grocery store...and they're delicious. There is just enough cheese and the dough is so fluffy (but not overbearing to where you feel like you're chewing stale bread). For $4, I was able to get down half of it and save the other half for dinner. New "go-to" pizza place, by far.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
