Fiesta Mexicana is one of my favorite places to eat at. I don't think I've ever had bad service and the environment is warm and inviting. I usually eat lunch there. The food is great. The staff is great. Delicious and reliable.

When entering this restaurant we were greeted warmly and seated immediately. Our waitress was knowledgeable and attentive. The menu has many options that sound delicious. We chose the chicken chimi changas and the portions were huge and seasoned perfect. We left fully satisfied and happy! When in the area we will definitely go there again!

The salsa is the best. The refried beans are always fresh. Huevous rancheros is fantastic! (I drive an hour just to eat here!)

Is it authentic Mexican cuisine? Probably not, but their food is pretty good in my opinion. I've eaten there several times over the past few years and have not had a bad experience. The service isn't bad if you don't mind having teenagers as waitstaff. My kids enjoy going there and that's always a plus! There is a review on here that dissects the place as though Fiesta Mexicana is masquerading as an upscale authentic eatery. Well, it's not, and they don't pretend to be either. If you are looking for a superb dining experience in Sturgis Michigan you are gonna have a bad time. But if you want to take your family out to dinner this place is one to consider.

I've heard that the further you get from the border, the worse the Mexican food gets. That's what I went into this thinking. But a few days away from scrumptious Portland made me hungry for some good Mexi. Michigan it is! The hotel we're staying at told us that out of the three possible Mexi joints, Fiesta Mexicana was hands-down the best with "awesome food" and "exceptional service." Superlatives make me think twice. Also, these people probably have never had real Mexican food. Walk into Fiesta, and the first thing that clued me in to the type of place it was were the walls plastered with Polaroids of jolly white kids in sombreros. Point of interest number two? The slushie machine turning pre-mixed margaritas instead of horchata. Mmmmm.....?? TEST NO. 1: CHIPS & SALSA Warm, but definitely not fresh chips. Bland, from-a-jar salsa. Slight heat, but not much flavor. VERDICT: Fail. TEST NO. 2: CHILI COLORADO Meh. Sauce spicier than I predicted, but flavor was definitely off. Meat was carne asada quality (Mexican carne asada quality, I should say) in hard-to-bite strips. Beans okay. Rice not bad. Tortillas nice and hot. VERDICT: Average. TEST NO. 3: PICOPICOPICO Since the salsa was pretty bland, I was hoping that they were just holding out on the wimpy whities. I ask our server if she has spicier salsa. She grabs some, although it was more hot-sauce style. It was pretty good. VERDICT: Pass. TEST NO. 4: CUANTO CUESTA? Prices were okay, yet slightly overpriced for quality. Also, was slightly horrified that my "spicy" salsa was an extra $0.99. Really? WTF? VERDICT: Average. Would I recommend coming here again? Probably not. Yet I will say, it was the most satisfying meal that we've had since being on the road. That's got to count for something, I suppose.

Not very good. Food is bland. I think the place could be cleaner, too. It's cheap...and it tastes like cheap.

Our family loves this place. Fajitas, Arroz con pollo, Chimichanga de la casa, Quesadilla Rellena are all good recommendations! Salsa is not too spicy, and definitely made in house, as some days it is heavy on the garlic , on others it's the cilantro. Service is (almost) always exeptional!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
