We were referred to this restaurant by another area business while looking for a local sandwich shop. Wow. They did not disappoint. Primarily a Gyros restaurant, they also have hamburgers, hot dogs, ribs, Italian beef sandwiches, and several great salads. The food is fresh cooked while you wait, and I've never had to wait longer than 10min. Give them a try!

Was very tasty if a little confusing. We viewed a menu online for a business with the same name (not sure where they are though) and it was entirely different. See my pic for the real menu. A note that I'd offer is that at a gyro place, people expect to be able to get a chicken gyro and one is pretty much offered in the "Chicken Pocket Sandwich". My wife had one and enjoyed it but it lead to lots of confusion when we decided on the order so I'd suggest renaming it or just offering the same thing under two names :) We're checking out the correct menu and picking out what we're going to get next time.

Take-out was acquired from Mr Gyro for the group, so I cannot comment about the restaurant facilities themselves. The food, however, was quite good. Even after the trip home, the pita and gyro meat were both still warm. After I unwrapped my gyro, it seemed to expand in my hand, containing so much meat in the filling (it was pretty light in the tomato and onion department) that I could not convince my pita to properly fold. Upon adding the tzatziki, my gyro was ready for consumption. The traditional beef and lamb gyro meat was well-seasoned and complemented by the onion and the (what I assume was homemade) tzatziki. While the pita helped bring it all together, both literally and figuratively, the tomato did not put in much of an appearance, and the sandwich could have been helped by some more onion. All in all, the meal was quite satisfying, albeit with relatively minor areas for improvement.

A very good locally owned grill with a Greek touch to the menu. The burgers are a family fav. The gyros and fries are really good too. Very affordable, clean and friendly service.

I've lived in Denver and now Chicago. I spent a lot of time in both of their GreekTown areas. When it comes to Gyro, this is still the best one I've ever had!

When I lived in Kalamazoo, Theo and Stacy's was 'the' place for gyros. When I moved to Stevensville and discovered Mr. Gyros I was beyond thrilled because I found a place that has even better gyros! The gyro salad is my favorite here because they put so much meat on top of it, with feta and of course a pita. I use half of the meat and eat with the pita and the other half I leave on the salad! I eat there 1-2 times every couple weeks!! Tons of protein woohoo!

Had the beef sandwich and the chicken here and they where both a very generous size. And tasted good, the beef sandwich is like most beef sandwiches i have had.

Good food, very filling. I do wish they had a healthy(-ish) side option. I think all of their sides are deep-fried. Here's a way to get some good veggies AND gyro meat, and get more for your buck. It's a meal that I couldn't come close to finishing: Try the Mr. Gyros Salad - it comes with a hefty portion of gyro meat. It was $6.25 (at time of this review). You can use the salad and meat to fill the pitas, assembling little taco-like pita sandwiches. It's a meal to share or take home for later, unless you have a really hearty appetite. The Mr. Gyro Salad comes with these ingredients: a BIG ol' pile of gyro meat, a pita cut into 1/4s, lettuce (moistened with a subtle oil dressing), 2 huge wedges of tomato, thinly-sliced onion, sliced cukes, 2 olives (contain pits), a few pepperoncini peppers, a hefty chunk of feta you can crumble atop the salad, and one little tub of their dee-lish tzatziki sauce. If you want to make more pita sandwiches, ask them NOT to quarter or cut your pitas - to just leave them whole. Then order 2-3 EXTRA pitas and 2-3 extra tzatziki sauce tubs. Each pita and each sauce tub is 50c cents each - but $8-$9 for all of this food is a great deal! It's definitely enough for my hubby & I to share for dinner. (We usually take it home). Spread tzatziki on a pita first, then the other stuff sticks to it, making it a little easier to eat. We stuff it with the salad and the meat. But be aware - this is a rather messy meal, so grab extra napkins! Enjoy!

This the best restaurant in Stevensville. This is one of best gyros in the US. It's a hidden gem. I dream about it. I'm shivering right now thinking of it. Get the classic gyro combo, add an extra pita, and split the meat so you have two gyros. They really stuff that first one. Coming back home is incomplete without a trip to Mr Gyros.

Have lived in Stevensville for several years and drive by here all the time. Decided to jump in and give it a try and was not disappointed. Plenty of locals enjoying their lunches and a wide range of burgers, sides, and of course gyros.

OMG! We were in the Chicago area and usually go to a place called Mr. Gyro. We missed out this time. BUT, we found this Mr. Gyro in Stevensville,MI. Don't know if they're a chain. The Gyros here are the real deal. They shave the lamb off of a rotating spit. The cucumber or Tzatziki Sauce was superb. They definitely put a lot of ingredients on the sandwich. We would definitely return.

Good fry top food... good gyros... I cant' speak to fresh ingredients, but as far as bar top places goes, this is good stuff, cash only. Live close, enjoy it, can't complain. If you want a hero and fries for under 8 buck, can't recommend a better place.

Generous helpings of meat for the Gyros, in fact, it's a bit too much. It would be nice if they took out some of the meat and maybe put in some chopped up tomatoes. The sides they offer, mushrooms, french fries, zucchini, etc... are all deep-fried. Otherwise, the food is decent fare, not pricey at all. It's a good gut filler when you're hungry.

food is consistently good. i always get the gyro plate with 2 extra pitas on the side so that i can eat half for lunch, and save the other half for dinner. ^_^ wish the gyro platter had more veggies though. my tomato slice was so thin it kind of fell apart when i picked it up. it'd be nice if we could get a small greek salad instead of fries.

Coming from California, where there are some really great Greek gyro spots, this ranks right on up there! The gyro plate is great tasting and the portion is just right. If you really want a treat save room for the baklava. It's awesome!

Perfect. Independent, family run gyro joint. Every single time I come home from Chicago my mouth waters for the Greek Chicken Salad. The chicken is tender and spiced perfectly, the homemade dressing is delicious and I love all the toppings, including the side of warmed pita. I have been eating here for at least 12 years and I have not found a salad to beat it (to it's caliber) even in Chicago's greek town. You must review Mr. Gyros for what it is: a small fast-food joint. The meat is plentiful and the food is fried. They also offer soups, salads and other tasty treats.

You can't go wrong with the gyro sandwich combo. Filling, delicious, and cheap. It's the best gyro in America. I'm shivering just thinking about it.

I've lived in several major cities and have not found a gyro to beat the ones here in Stevensville! When ever I am in the area visiting family I make sure to stop here! The traditional gyro meat is amazingly flavorful, tender, not at ALL greasy like most you'll find in other restaurants. The tzatziki sauce is some of thes best I've had as well! Who would have known such a gem would be here in little Stevensville, MI!

Tremendous amount of flavors. Gyro was filled with a lot of meat. Great price. The older man was very nice and delightful. Had a good experience with him. Downside, wasn't greeted or acknowledge when entering. The lady (age around 20-30) was not welcoming at all. I would still go back bc the food was delicious and reasonably priced.
