I'm always impressed by this grocery store. While your first impression is that they'll have just the essentials, they have a really nice selection of items. Over Thanksgiving, the beautiful wife and I were delighted to find Mexican Chorizo here, which made here breakfast burritos perfect. Great prices and a decent selection of booze as well.

Clean and friendly with standard Subway fare. The bread here is always very fresh compared to other Subways. Lots of seating too.

Always great ice cream at a decent price. It is a great place to let your kids play after they eat too!
Like many other reviewers, we stopped here on the way home from PJ Hoffmaster! (Great location!) No complaints! Fast & friendly service. They accept debit/credit cards. Delicious ice cream. Cute hammocks hanging out front. They have some sort of refillable cup you can purchase if you are a frequent customer, which seems nice for locals or frequent customers vacationing nearby.
Very good - I used to ride here in my parents' car after going to the beach. They have Flavor Burst and once I saw the governor here.

Out of all of the fast food chains in our area Arby's is one of my favorites. Yes, I know the meat is liquid and then cooked to solidify it, but I don't care. I still like them. I'll usually go with a beef and cheddar mid, but on certain days when I'm feeling a little spunky I'll go with a market fresh sandwich. I don't make it a habit to give fast food chains 4 stars, but the staff here is super nice and well worth that extra star.

Food quality was good. Service terrible. No attention to detail. Did not have coffee made. Had to ask. Beer selection was miniscule. Had Bud products, Heineken and Labatts. Labatts blue label beer $4.50 a bottle. Seemed a bit high for a cheap beer.
The food was excellent and definitely made in-house. We took advantage of the fantastic Early Bird Special available from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. The special is for two and includes a bottle of house wine to share, and for each a soup or salad, choice of entree and side, and bread. We had the Coastal Vines Merlot, a salad with house dressing, black lentil soup with sausage, a Bistro Steak, and Broiled Whitefish. Both of us chose mashed potatoes with asiago cheese as our side. This special costs $28.95. We also added on dessert and chose profiteroles. At less than $45 for three courses and a bottle of wine, this is an amazing value! The profiteroles were the most disappointing part of meal and I would choose a different dessert. Otherwise, this was a great meal at a great price.
Had the worst filet mignon! Tougher than stew meat. Waitress just smiled when I mentioned it, gave me a dry piece of cake to make up. The table next to us also told us their steaks were awful, and wouldn't come back. Prices are high, too much for the stodgy decor, no views..

The food freshness at this place is tops. Enjoyed their Salsa so much took a quart to go. Highly recommend.
The Domont's have been the best Tex-Mex option on the Lakeshore for +20 yrs. they have a super loyal clientele and have had 5 star service EVER time I've stopped in. Great/fun decor (love the jeep and desert in the front area). Awesome chips and salsa. I did not find the previous super neg. reviews to be very accurate beyond the possible one off scenarios (I am not an employee).
I had moved out of state for about 7 years, but I remember this place in a different location back in the mid 2000's and it was pretty good. The new location is nice and they did a nice job on creating an inviting and comfortable atmosphere. That being said, my experience with the food is on par with most of the reviews here. My best description would be school lunch on Mexican day. There is a lack of diversity in this area in general and it appears that they have dumbed down the food for the masses. Would be nice to see a little more authenticity, but could probably overlook the lack of creativity in the food if there were cocktails here.

Complete disappointment. Went in thinking that I was in the mood for Italian but noticed they served a Delmonico rib eye. Usually if I go to a new restaurant and they happen to have a rib eye I'll order that as my very first introduction entree before ordering anything else. It's just my way of thinking, that if an establishment can impress me with their steak then the rest of their food may be worth ordering next time I return. However, if they can't get a rib eye grilled correctly then chances are they don't have the skills to make much of anything else. Well, the rib eye was horrendous! The meat tasted old, pulled out of the freezer, microwave defrosted, and completely unseasoned! There was 1/3 grizzle through most of the cut. The only good thing was that I don't think the meat was spoiled. The clam chowder was actually as good as advertised. The Caesar salad and bread was average, however the yogurt cheese spread was excellent. Service above average. Overpriced!!! Overall, lack of care with the meat killed my experience. It'll probably be a long while till I return. Perhaps the pizza for redemption?
Service and drinks were excellent! Lasagna was good, French onion would have been better out of a can. Chicken Marsala was meh, bland and cannoli was The worst I ever had.
We've dined here a few times in the past month and found it to be very enjoyable. The staff is friendly and the service is timely. Each time the food has been well prepared and presented and the meal was timed properly. We will be back.

Probably the best pizza in the area. Small hole-in-the-wall restaurant that gets sweltering in the summer. I suggest takeout to a local park on the water somewhere (you are surrounded by water in SL) and watch the boats. Or head to Stan's Bar down the road and have them deliver it there. Great crust and sauce. Good people. Unfortunately they do not deliver to GH Township :(
Really good pizza and subs. The guy who 1 stared this place must be a local competitor. Because he couldn't be any more wrong! Awesome place with really good food and people. Definitely getting more pizzas and subs from this place.
I've had mediocre pizzas, I've had pizzas that were not cooked properly, I've had skimpy pizzas that were way over priced for what I received. I've had pizzas from chain restaurants, pizzas from "one off" independents, wood fired, coal fired, grilled, "regular" oven pizzas. I really like pizza but this was the worst I have ever had - anywhere in the world (and I've had pizza in China). It looked bad, it smelled bad and it tasted terrible - I didn't even finish one piece. 4 days later and the smell is lingering in the car that was used to pick it up from the shop (right out of the oven). Did I just happen to get the wrong pizza on a bad night? I'm not sure but I will not be back to check. Let this be a warning...

Idle Hour Lunch

Pretty darn good! We were just passing through and came upon this little gem. Had an omelet which was deeeelicious and fresh. The English muffin was toasted just right. Good service and strong coffee.
I always like to try local places for breakfast but unfortunately, this was the worst breakfast we've had in a week at the lake. Small portions for the price, food that was on the greasy side, instant iced tea.
Pleasant little diner, clean, bright, looked to be newly renovated. First time here for my wife and I, we showed up around 1pm, an hour before close, and there were few people there. The waiter was very nice, quick, accurate and attentive, and the food was pretty good diner fare. I had breakfast, eggs over easy, hand cut American fries, sausage links and rye toast. My wife had lunch, chili dogs with homemade onion rings. My eggs were cooked nicely, the potatoes were decent, but the sausages were the skinny kind that can end up hard on the inside (I'm not a fan of that kind). Chili dogs were good, large and plump with tasty chili, and the hand-made onion rings were very good, if a touch overdone. Only two negatives I can think of, the waiter said the hashbrowns are from a bag, and the sausages were hard. Big positives were the onion rings and the toast. It surprised me to learn that they bake their own bread there, and it was excellent. How many diners bake their own bread? Nice. Good diner food, nice atmosphere, recommend a visit and we will be happy to return there in the future.

As for chain pizza, this place is the best. Great deals, easy online ordering. In an area thick with pizza choices Marco's stands out.
Pretty good pizza for a chain. They are not skimpy on the toppings, so that is another plus.
It's pretty meh. Price/quality ratio is fairly bad. It's a cross between NYC and Papa John type pizza but the sauce misses, the dough is a bit chewy, and they don't do any favors with the amount of cheese. They do send coupons out that make it an easy meal when you don't want to cook. The delivery girl was very polite.
