Food is awesome, better than anything passed out in DETROIT. Me and my family always come here on Sundays and we love the atmosphere. That cook in the kitchen......I need him in my kitchen at home.

Good experience. Spicy, greasy cajun food. What's not to love. Good gator, chicken and shrimp. The staff are characters too.

What a hidden gem. Awesome Cajun inspired fried food right here in Metro Detroit. Simple menu on the wall categorized into: broasted (fried) chicken, wing dings, whole wings, seafood (shrimp, catfish, cod, perch, etc.), sides (onion rings, okra, fried mushrooms, cheese sticks, etc.). Last and also least - they have burgers too. Blah. Their catfish nuggets gave me a taste of their whole catfish. Awesome. The nuggets were not heavily breaded, you can taste the cornbread in the breading. Fried but not dripping wet. Hot, most, flaky. So imagine the full catfish. The whole wings - solid. Not as meaty as the corporate owned hormone injected kind - but that's a good thang. Rib tips were Ok. Just wanted to see how they are made in case I get a slab another time. My impression is that ribs are not their forte. Get anything from the sea from them. You can not go wrong. The chicken is great. Eat it fresh as possible. Counter service, but seating inside is very basic so most people take it home. I ate it there. Chicken and seafood here seems very much on point. The mac & cheese I had was good, but basic. Obviously better than your best made Kraft, but not as good as real soul food mac. I gotta say, I love this place. It really gets the inner black guy inside me very excited to eat here. Two thumbs up! A hidden gem!

Meh... I went in with a friend from out of town. The young woman behind the counter responded to my questions with just pointing to the menu. I ordered a set menu and there was no mention of a drink. I had to buy it after we had ordered. Food was ok.

Small place with 8 small tables for eating in. Best if taken out. I purchased the 3 combo platter. Ribs, Shrimp and Chicken with Yams, Jumbilia and Bread as sides. $18.00 with a bottled ice tea. (5) Shrimp are good sized and tasty. The chicken (thigh and breast) were excellent. Crispy on the outside. Moist on the inside. (3) Ribs were fall off the bone good with a lot of meat. Sauce had a nice taste, which complemented the ribs. Jumbilia and Jams were also good, but the meat made the meal. Only bad part about the meal was the sissy napkins they give you. You need some manly wipes to get the drippings and sauce off your face. Paper towel rolls on the table would do it. The 3 meat meal is enough for two people. Overall this was a good find. Food was delicious.

This place ain't no joke! I read the reviews and it was near my Courtyard Hotel, literally around the corner. so I decided to give it a try. I ordered one of their flexible combos, requesting chicken, fish and shrimp with Jambalaya. The service was fast. The food was hot when I got back to the hotel with my take out and it was all delicious, properly prepared and quite impressive. They were even nice when I switch my dessert from the terrific looking lemon cake to peach cobbler. Even the cole slaw was good and practically no one knows how to make real cole slaw any more. This was actually creamy and mixed just right. Wow! Since when is everything excellent? I will go back.

I ordered the catfish with extra lemon pepper spices and fries with extra seasoning. Got it delivered really quick, under an hour. Fries and catfish were great as always. They also have really good ribs, I just tried the new baby back ribs they have and they were fire.
