G's is something my wife grew up on as a kid in Tawas. We usually visit that location every time we go to Tawas. I have lost the ability to judge the food as it's essentially tradition to go and I enjoy our time. We have been to the Saginaw location a few times and it is quite a different experience from the Tawas location. I like that the experience is different as it feels more like a brew pub but much larger. They completely redid and re-thought the floor plan from the buffet that was previously there. It made the place look amazing. The pizza is delicious and so are the garlic spears (aka breadsticks). I did have a beer sampler which was tasty as well. I've also had their wings and though they aren't really unique in flavor, they are still decent as well. The wait staff is also very friendly and we usually have the same waitress.

Not bad, but not great. The bar area is pretty big, decent selection of beers. The food is so-so. They have such a giant menu, you can find almost anything on it. Seems like it would make more sense to have less items on the menu and just work on making them better. The lasagna tastes like it's straight out of Gordon's Food Service catalog. You can get the same thing for $4 less at Tony's. The burger was actually cooked great, not dried out and overcooked like you might find elsewhere. Calzones not bad. A little on the expensive side. Burger and a beer was $16! Waitstaff is terrible and the service is very slow. Was hoping after a couple months of being open the people would be trained better and up to speed but it hasn't changed.

It was Saturday night at about 6:30, so of course the place was packed. The hostess said 15 minutes for a table so we out our name down, but found seats at the bar instead -- then our name was called within 5 minutes anyway, but we stayed at the bar. It was really loud in there, but it quieted down after the group of 8-10 drunk people behind us left. We got the "G's Original Spears" which sound like pickles to me, but they're breadsticks. That are soaked in butter. So obviously they're pretty good. My mom got the Margherita Pizza which was loaded with fresh basil and mozzarella. My dad and I split the Captain Hook Pizza Pie, which was loaded with toppings err.. fillings because it has crust on top and bottom. It's a really thin layer though, so it's not overwhelming, but you still get the thick, Chicago-style crust at the end which is what I was looking for. They also have a wide selection of beer on tap. My parents each had two shorts, and together they came to around $20. I don't know the going rate of beer so decipher for yourself whether that's a good price or not. The total for everything was was a little over $60 with tax, but that was for enough pizza for 8 people (we had leftovers...), breadsticks, and beer. I'm not sure why this place has mostly bad reviews, because I thought it was pretty good and I'm used to eating Buddy's Pizza. My only complaints are the service, which was a little slow, but really it was the kitchen's fault because the servers were definitely attentive, and that it was really loud in there.

Great Pizza! We get the family special two 14 inch one topping pizzas, and bread sticks with mozzarella cheese, and it has been great all three times we have gone. Very nice booths, and clean bathrooms too.

I'm removing one more star for making a Sam Adams snifter $6.00. Best thing about this place is the service.

Service was good both times I've been here. I had the Mac and cheese and added chicken, both very good. The second time I had just a regular burger. It was ok but the bun didn't really handle the grease well. They have a huge menu, lots to choose from and a good size drink menu. Will be back!

The food we had was very tasty, but the service was very slow. They have only been open 1 week, so we will try again in a couple of months maybe they will have the bugs worked out of their system by then. They will deliver anything on the menu for a three dollar delivery charge within 3 miles of restaurant, and 50 cents per mile after the 3.

Tried the spears, which were bread sticks, and loved them. Usually pretty picky about bread sticks but these were pretty good. Also, ate the beef and cheddar stuffed sandwich. It came with tomato, lettuce and a pickle spear. I wasn't quite sure what to do with the lettuce and tomato because you can't insert them into the sandwich. I left the lettuce uneaten and just ate the tomato and pickle with each bite. I thought the sandwich was a bit pricey, but it was good. Service was fine.

Great food, large menu, good service. Salads are excellent, so are the pizzas, sandwiches, and soups. Favorite new place to eat when visiting Saginaw!

Ate at several locations, Tawas, West Branch, Kalkaska & Saginaw, service and atsmophere is great, just think the crust is gummy and Chewy, undercooked, under raised? Just not a fan, maybe it's just me.

Overpriced, there's an upcharge for everything. The pizzeria is mediocre for the price. They make pizza like they learned how to do it yesterday. If someone brought this to me from Meijer or Wal-Mart, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Little Caesar's is gourmet compared to this place. The service is also terrible. 30 minutes wait for one pizza and breadsticks. I got the wrong pizza at first as well. Staff didn't seem to know what they were doing and wouldn't even let me look over the menu in peace. Everything about the place seemed poorly put together and unprofessional. I'd never come back. I've had better, I know better pizza. I hate to be a snob, but I wouldn't give this place my business again. Nothing personal.

A group of four of us went in yesterday at 4 PM to have a beer and an appetizer while waiting for the rest of our party for dinner at 5 PM. We ordered the Parmesan breadsticks off of the bartenders recommendation and they were amazing! He was so friendly and the service was great. When the rest of our group arrived we were seated promptly and had an awesome server. His name is Justin and he was so funny and took care of us the entire time we were there. Part of our group ordered the Florentine pizza and it was absolutely awesome! I also love the decor of this place! It is so welcoming and up to date and so refreshing to see a place like this open up in Saginaw! I highly recommend G's!
