Food in general is great in my opinion. That said we usually only do take out as the building is in disrepair and feels a bit nasty to sit down and eat.

This place was at one time pretty good but something happened. Portions got smaller with less chicken in the chicken lo mein. I tried to give them a second and third chance but it has not improved. Still think they have the best egg rolls but that's about it. They also screwed up my take out order the last two times

No stars for this place. First time here and I ordered 2 egg rolls to go, to eat in the car. On my second bite, out came an approximately 4" long piece of thin black sewing thread. Gross! I'm debating on whether or not to contact the health department. Plus, the egg roll was pure cabbage, and greasy. I got a good look at the place while waiting for my order and was not happy. It was very dark and dingy, one of the light fixtures above a table was out and the bare bulbs were sticking out. The whole place looked like it could use a good wash. I cannot recommend this crummy joint.

This place use to be thee Chinese take out, however, over the years the building has started to fall apart and their equipment is subpar. The last time I was there our egg rolls were under cooked and the Mongolian beef had an off flavor. About two years ago the health department found rat droppings in the kitchen and forced Chan's to hire an exterminator. With all the Asian food competition in our area now, it is time for Chan's to reinvent themselves or retire. I included the link from the health department reports. Check them out for yourselves! swordsolutions.com/inspe…

Such a low price for some great food! Love going here especially for their crab cheeses! So good!

This restaurant deserves zero stars. The food was absolutely inedible; no crab in cheesecrabs, fried won tons were tiny hard balls of undescribable meat, the garlic chicken was a gelatinous mess of chopped mystery foods, sweet and sour sauce had zero flavor. Avoid.

Known this resturant for years . Been going to it with family members for years. It's definately a good cheap Chinese restuarant. Egg rolls are great, crab cheese is just cream cheese in a won ton wrap, and rice has been known in the past for having work rice in it. The chicken and pork are not always fresh. Somedays you will get hard chewy peices that obviously were sitting around a while and other days if your lucky you will get good chewable peices of pork or chicken. I guess you get what you pay for.

Been ordering from Chan's for a few years now. They're alright. We occasionally eat-in, but more often order delivery. They are not shy with portions! And when you order extra-spicy, don't be surprised if you can't eat it because of that ;) We've never had a problem with the service, they are generally pretty nice and easy going. To be honest, this was the first time I ever had hot tea (asian, not sure what kind!) that I LOVED. Been drinking it every since. I never noticed this $1 credit card fee though. I should look into this next time, and then complain to the companies.

Have had much better Chinese food. There was NO crab in the "crab" cheese and both the chicken and pork were tough and overcooked. Will NOT be back!

I used to eat here years ago and loved the food and service. I ate recently on my return visit and it was still some of the best asian food I've eaten anywhere in the U.S. The spice sour soup is beyond compare. The Schuan Chicken is the best. I love to eat here. The service is good and the price is right. I wish they would move to here in Las Vegas and I'd eat there daily. On a scale of 1-10 I rate them a 10.5. Try this place you won't be disappointed. If anyone gave this place a bad rating, they are just grumpy and are doing this place a favor by not returning.

This is a decent restaurant with ok food and ok prices. Kind of the low end of Chinese food in my opinion. Service is fast and friendly. One thing that made me nearly give them up now is their dollar credit card fee. This is NOT allowed by the credit card companies and they all have places to report businesses that do it. I did report them once but nothing has been done yet. Overall the place is just ok, not the worst but not at all great.

Good Chinese takeout (and sit down) food. Chan's is a typical Chinese joint with the beaded divider to the bathrooms and all that. It's good for the nights when you're craving Chinese but don't feel like sitting down in a restaurant, just place a takeout order from Chan's.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
