WARNING: HIGHLY ADDICTIVE! This is my go-to Chicken joint. It's been here seemingly forever and I have it on good word that it will be around for a very long time to come. The Chicken here is Broasted, that's kind of like a deep fryer and pressure cooker all rolled into one, and you can taste the magnificent difference. The flavor is throughout the bird and it's equally moist and tender without any hint of dryness or undercooking. Just right. As great as the Chicken is, what really makes it are the Potato Wedges, also Broasted, that taste phenomenal. I haven't had the Ribs yet, but I hear good things! This is a Carry-Out, no real place to sit. Lot's of kitsch decor like toys and knick-knacks on the walls and most of the building is taken up by their tricked out kitchen, where you can watch them do everything. Various sodas and Gatorade in the fridge if you're thirsty and the Cole Slaw is pretty good too. They do Catering if you're having a birthday party or corporate get together and these guys will go out of their way to accommodate whatever your needs are. Skip the colonel, ditch popeye and leave the 'shack' by the side of the road and step in here. You deserve better!

My husband and I went in for lunch without any expectations. We ordered a whole chicken (8 pieces). We thought we'd have some left for dinner. Nope! We finished it in one sitting and decided to order more for dinner with some family. For dinner, we ordered the "Barrel 24 Pieces" that came with your choice of broiled potatoes or fries and cole slaw. They let us order half potatoes and half fries. They were okay - average. The star was the chicken. It was tender and juicy. The seasoning on the chicken is really good, but I prefer a bit more salt. Overall, I'd recommend it to anyone!

Crack head good! No kidding! I ordered the 4pcs dinner. It came with potato wedges, a roll, some jam and I got a sprite as well. Looks like it's a family run business and it taste every bit as good as grandma's recipe! They have a dinning counter you can sit at while you wait or eat there. It was warm as I don't think they do AC, but wow the food:) I got mine fresh out of the frier and it was some of the best, juiciest, tender chicken ever. The skin was tasty and crisp, not any of that chain brand poo. I would highly suggest stopping in or ordering out! 4.5 stars!!!

Stopped in today after going to Incredible Edibles next door where I got some of their Chicken Crack coating of all things. Anyways stopped in to get a 8 piece for today and tomorrows football viewing, I mean who doesn't love cold chicken right? Well I'm already down 5 pieces with 3 disappearing on the drive home. Resistance was futile smelling the crispy goodness wafting in the truck. The chicken was heavenly, crispy and full of flavor. Jim the owner as I was paying said the thighs looked a bit small so I gave you a couple extra, so cool of him Thank You. I'm happy and sad they are not closer to me as I would go here all the time if they were. I can't wait to go back and try the fish.

This place is a gem, that I found here on Yelp. TCP is primarily "take out," but has a nice eating bar with several seats that you can enjoy your meal there. We called ahead, 15 minutes, and by the time we got there, it was already packaged. We decided to enjoy it there. Jim, the owner, was very friendly and described how they marinate the chicken prior to broasting it. It was delicious. Thick-sliced potatoes also broasted and tasty! Price is VERY reasonable. We'll be back.

Had to get some chicken from our FAVORITE chicken place today. They were so nice to give us a rib sample. OMG! They were wonderful. Fall off the bone and so tender. The sauce had a great sweet flavor. We will definitely think of these place the next time we want rib. No complaints on anything we have had there. And really reasonable prices. You can't say that about too many places these day.

Excellent fried chicken!!!! I just went here for the first time tonight. The 8 piece chicken, and small potatoes would be enough for a family of 4 (two young boys). The prices here are really good too! Thanks Chicken Place!!!

Ordered takeout for the 2nd time. AWESOME as usual! I will never eat KFC or Popeye's again. The chicken, coleslaw, broasted potatoes, french fries, onion rings, and fish are to die for. Haven't tried the ribs yet but they are next! Moist, non-greasy, tender chicken with a delicious taste. All of the food here is soo good! Joe gave us our onion rings at no charge tonight He and his wife are so nice. Glad I heard about this little gem.

Damn I miss this place. Haven't been here in years, but what from I remember is that it's only ran by 2 guys and the place is decorated with toys depending on what holiday or what season it is. It's best to just phone them your order and eat it there or if you live in the neighborhood, just take it home and eat it in your basements (poor bastards with nothing to do in the Midwest but drink and beat your wifes and whatnot). The chicken is crispy and HOT on the outside and moist in the inside. Yeah, broasted is the way to go with chicken. Fuck KFC. For real. Their potatoes are HUGELY sectioned and are piping hot. Don't forget to tell them to brush everything with their magic brush of melted butter, but they never forget. When I was once a fatass I used to tell them to do it twice. CASH ONLY

I use to eat here years ago. Almost every Saturday night I would call and order a BBQ rib dinner with the boasted potatoes. The ribs were terrific, but the potatoes were cut too big, Then I found Chicken Shack with great ribs as well and they offered rib snacks as well as dinners and their boasted potatoes were cut much smaller.

Love this place! It is mainly a carry out kind of establishment. They only take cash. The broasted chicken is the best around, made fresh when you order. The ribs are pretty great too. I love the crazy goofy things he has on the shelves around decorating the place, like those singing and dancing hamsters.

Woohoo! As good as it gets! Old school looking interior and open view of the kitchen. You'll have a hard time finding better chicken in the area. The potato wedges deserve a shout out too, 5 star all the way.
