I was pretty stoked about trying Culver's out. Came away un-impressed. Maybe I wasn't drunk enough.

Great burgers and root beer. Food is made fresh, and wait is usually not that long.

Went here for the first time. Got a double cheddar butter burger and onion rings for just under $10. Took my first bite and pulled out someone's hair. I walked back up and got a refund. I will not return.

Something tasted really odd on my mushroom swiss butter burger which are usually pretty tasty. It tasted like it had been fried in burnt grease, you know that acidic flavor. When I ordered I had also ordered onion rings but received fries, so overall not a good visit.

When i first started with this location, the only location i know of around here, it was SO yum! Yes its fast food. Its deep fried and grease but, ALWAYS fresh! Ill wait over left over food anyday! They HAD the BEST chicken sandwiches! YUM! I say HAD simply because they just aren't cutting it anymore! I ordered it tonite and after YELLING my order into the speaker, inside was SUPER busy, i still repeated my order at the window. Their speaker SUCKS. She had to correct my order on the screen. I handed her a $1 off coupon, she never used it. The lady who ran my food out fixed the issue so thats not my issue. The sandwich had SO much mayo on it, i couldn't keep in on the bun. The lettuce was brown and the chicken tasted funny. I took 3-4 bites, spit a few of those out and threw the rest out. Bought something else. It was gross! This was one of my worst experiences I've ever had here. Normally they just look so bored taking my order. There are a FEW good people in there though. My order 90% of the time is WRONG. Im not ordering huge orders. Complex orders. Very simple, i thought. A year ago, this place was my FAV for fast food! Hit the spot! now, not so much!

The food and sweets are great but the staff is terrible. It's the only one around though.

I really like Culvers, in general, but this location really sucks! I waited in the drive-thru for a long time only to get my mushroom Swiss burger that looked like garbage. The patty was thinner than I have ever seen..Almost as thin as the cheese slice it had on it and the whole thing didn't taste that great. I get more meat on a $1 menu burger at McD's. It's just ridiculous when you pay more money and get less.

My parents love Culver's, but this is their favorite. I have to agree. I don't know exactly how, but all the Culver's I've been to this one has the best burgers. The staff is very friendly for a chain restaurant, and provides an experience superior to other such places. Don't miss Turtle Tuesday for a special on Culver's famous Turtle Ice Cream. Delicious!

It's the best fast food place period. It takes a little longer than most fast food places but it's worth it

YummO! The butterburger single with heavy pickle hit the spot for this prego! Fast, friendly service for a made - to - order drive thru. Our first and definitely not last time.

Did White Castle grow up? I stopped here on the way to Lexington a few days back and honestly had no idea what this place was or why they are popping up all over Michigan. I pulled into the drive thru and asked the person to order what their specialty is for me. I got some sort of cheeseburger, crinkle fries, and drink for 4-5 bucks. I unwrapped the burger and had 3:00 a.m. college flashbacks. The burger was extremely greasy but in a I've just had a 12 pack and shots and really need this sort of way. The burger was actually pretty good for fast food. I'd put it somewhere between Hardees and 5 guys, leaning more toward Hardees. The fries were good-hot and crispy and who doesn't love crinkles? Overall not a bad place. I don't think I'd make a habit of coming here but I would have no problem coming back.

I've had their burgers, ice cream and chicken sandwich and all good. Have never had a bad experience!

Several new fast food chains have entered the Detroit Market in the last few years. Sonic and Five Guys being the most recent. But Culver's, originally from Wisconsin, has been here a while and is gaining a strong following. Kinda like a slow smolder rather than a flash bang. So to call Culver's "fast food" is probably unfair. Culver's is good food, served fast. You order and then find a table and sit. They cook your order and bring it out to you. Yes, they have burgers, hot dogs and fries. Their ButterBurger is quite good, suffering by comparison only to Five Guys and Fuddrucker's. But the rest of their menu is extensive and varied. Sandwiches like the Blackened Chicken, or their grilled Reuben are excellent. as is the Turkey Sourdough BLT. While in-season, there is a Wall-Eye Fish sandwich. Dinners include Fried Chicken, North Atlantic COD, Shrimp, and Pot Roast. All good. Sides include fries, cheese fries (with you guessed it, real Wisconsin melted cheddar), green beans and mashed potatoes. Also available are a selection of Salads and Soups. Given their heritage, it's no surprise that their Wisconsin Cheddar soup is a classic in a bowl. Tips for the newbies... This menu (see attached photo) is complicated and takes some time to comprehend. You will walk in and stare at the menu board like a deer in headlights. Don't be embarrassed, it happens to everyone at first. But please do step aside and and let some of seasoned Culver's pros order while you absorb your options. BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE! (he said is his best Ron Popeil voice) They serve Frozen Custard in many glorious configurations. From Cones to Shakes, Malts, Floats, Sundaes. and Cakes. With lots and lots of topping choices. The Frozen Custard is the best I've had with the possible exception of Erma's in Utica. And they offer unique seasonal flavors. Around Thanksgiving they have a Pumpkin Pie flavored Custard that was just shear delight to any fan of Pumpkin Pie. They even included Graham Cracker Crust pieces in the dish and whipped cream on top. Beware, this is a target rich environment for high-value decadence. Those on a diet? My only comment is to restart your diet tomorrow. Resistance is futile, you will be Culverized.

Culvers is no Five Guys, but if you're in the area it is definitely the best place to get a good burger. Their butter burgers are sinfully delicious. The meat is thick and juicy, the fries are thick, hot and salty and the dessert and ice cream shakes are thick, creamy and flavorful. I guess everything about this place is thick, which is a good thing when it comes to a burger joint. The burgers are cooked to order, and they have a wide variety, including fish and other seafood choices. I usually opt for a butter burger or the patty melt. If I'm going to a burger joint I'm going to do it up since I rarely eat red meat. You can't pass up the cheese curds, either. If you've ever been to Wisconsin and had authentic cheese curds (the kind that squeak when you bite into them) they're similar to those except fried. Delicious.

I'm not a fan of fast food, but as Craig said in his review, to call Culver's "fast food" is to do it a disservice. Yes, they have a drive thru and they have "value meals," but everything is cooked to order (except for the fries). The ingredients are fresh. For example, I ordered a deluxe double cheeseburger today - the beef was hot, I had a choice of cheese (I chose cheddar), lettuce, red onion(!), & tomato were flavorful, and pickles were thick cut. I've had their butterburgers, too. Yes, they're delicious - I mean a cheeseburger on a buttered bun, obviously awesome - but they are pretty rich. The sides are decent, too. The fried cheese curds are wonderful. Little salty, chewy, crunchy bits of goodness. Crinkle cut fries are hit or miss. If you get a fresh batch, their pretty awesome - unsalted, which I like. But if you get an old batch, they can be soggy and lukewarm, which is good for nobody. I understand the custard, ice cream, and shakes are supposed to be good, but I have not indulged. I'll be back to try those. Culver's is a solid choice for a quick burger. If you're close to Roseville, check it out - much better than the other fast food choices.

Higher end fast food at its best! The menu has a lot to choose from burgers, chicken sandwiches, seafood and custard desserts. I usually get a butterburger with cheese, yummy, the even have red onions for the sandwiches. I have been a customer since the place has opened and will continur to do so.

A guilty pleasure, burgers are fantastic. As are the cheese curds, fries and ice cream. It really all tastes incredibly fresh and oh so flavorful...a new addiction...

After living in Minneapolis for a while I began to take places like Culver's for granted. Having moved back to NC I found my stop into Culver's here in the Detroit area a nice treat. Enjoyed a double mushroom and swiss butter burger and some cheese curds with ranch. Although not the best I've ever had, their curds are a nice quick fix and take me back to my time in Minny. Their burger are solid and a little messy - that's part of what makes them great. Just be sure to grab a couple extra napkins. Service was good and employees were polite.

I've never actually ordered anything for myself here. My fiancé and son love the place though. Everything is made fresh to order, even through the drive thru. Be prepared to wait a few minutes. But my fiancé says the fresh cheese curds are worth it!

This place is really good I'm shocked, by far the best tasting burger for fast food and is always fresh. They have a wide variety menu and have ice cream. It's a really nice one stop shop

As far as fast food goes, Culvers is a solid choice. I can't in good conscious give ANY place with a drive thru more than 3 stars, but they have great burgers and their frozen custard reminds me of my hometown.
