I don't think it's possible to have a bad experience here! Pancakes are light and fluffy, homemade batter. Eggs are super fresh, service is outstanding, friendly and timely. You'll never sit waiting for your check. And when you receive your check, no sticker shock. Prices are reasonable. Two adults, full breakfast, less than $15. Don't miss this wonderful little place.

I had an omelette for breakfast, & was not impressed. I guess I'm spoiled from eating at the pantry & wildflower to much.

Sorry ahead of time, it's a long post, but this restaurant is so good I have to let the public know: George is not a "cook", he is a CHEF and the best kept secret in Macomb County. He prefers to keep his restaurant small and his menu selective, presumably so he can offer the best he can offer without stretching himself out too thin. Sometimes, he is open only during the day and does not offer dinners. His breakfasts are delicious and satisfying, and vary every day, my favorites include French toast (in several varieties!) skillets, biscuit sliders, homemade corned beef hash, potato pancakes and eggs benedict. Lunch can range from crab cake sandwiches, asiago cheese and bacon burgers to salmon salad, and has a variety of soups, two my personal favorites are chicken pastini and lobster bisque. When he is open for dinner, GET A RESERVATION! He specializes in meats, from the finest chops to seafood, and his dishes can be compared to what you would find in the finest restaurants New York City. Love, love, love this place.

We are late evening diners so were able to finally try this place out on a special occasion day. We both had prime rib - cooked to both of our desires. Couldn't believe how fast the friendly service was.

LOVE this place! Great little restaurant where the owners are there every day and care about every little detail. The food is great, the staff is great and the place is so charming. Even the serving dishes are nicer than your normal diner. One day I am going to buy a mug to take home with me as I live about 20 miles from here and I love the shape, love that it's stoneware, and love that it has their logo on it.

Great food! Great service! Have never had anything here that wasn't delicious! It's my family's' "go-to" weekend breakfast place - even when there's a wait! The owners do a wonderful job of preparing and serving top-notch foods at family friendly prices. Their catering is a big hit with our guests! Salads and wraps were delicious and affordable for our last grad party. Also, don't miss their special "evening" events offering prime rib, crab legs, and many other specialties! You can't go wrong at the Village!! (I recommend making reservations for the dinner events to shorten the wait time!)

This place is great! I am never disappointed for breakfast or lunch. If you just want a hearty breakfastr or tasty soup and sandwich try this place out. the Owner is always there interacting with the customers. The baked potatoe soup stands out most to me..ohh and the potato pancakes..Yum. Service is delightful, atmosphere is very cozy. This is a smaller place so be prepared for a line during lunch or breakfast The Wait is worth it (I have not had dinner here so I don't know about that time). Please note this is five stars for being one of the best diners I have been too...not necessarily the best food in your tastes but when you want a homecoooked meal pop in there!

Attention all bike riders headed north on the Macomb Orchard Trail: you will definitely want to make it to Richmond and then treat yourself to a dining experience with owner Maria at this quaint, whimsical cafe. With both indoor and outdoor seating, the Village Cafe has a welcoming ambience and relaxed, happy vibes. Maybe it's the beach-like straw patio table shades, or the brightly colored butterflies swirling above your tables. The cafe is inviting, with the friendliest owner, Marie, and efficient, kind wait staff who genuinely seem to enjoy their jobs. Even the plates and bowls are original and fun. Be prepared to leave with a smile on your face. Each entree I saw leaving the kitchen looked fresh and appealing. I read positive reviews about the twice baked potato soup and was not disappointed. Flavorful with just the right texture and spices, it was warm and comforting. It took me a good 15 minutes to read the many offerings in the menu. After narrowing it down to a half dozen breakfast and sandwich choices, I decided on the Asiago Chicken Wrap. Warm and filling, the chicken tenders are made from scratch, and are perfectly crispy and tender. I asked to have the artichoke spread substituted for the ranch dressing. Great choice. I overheard another customer saying she could eat the spread by the spoonful. I agree. Very tasty. Maria is a gourmet quality chef who creates her own recipes, using the freshest ingredients. The results speak for themselves. Another reason to smile: the very reasonable bill. The wrap, generous bowl of soup and iced tea came to $11.00.
