The food here is excellent. The service was good as well. The decor was very outdated and there was a weird smell to the place. We will probably eat here again, but might order take out instead of eating in.

Yikes, the shear smell of this place should have been a big red flag. I wish they could have fit more than two tiny pieces of rubbery chicken amongst the entire head of lettuce and running buffalo sauce. Swing and a huge miss.

I ordered the German platter because the server recommended it; saying it was authentic homemade German food. The potato pancakes were breakfast hash browns straight out of the freezer, not authentic at all.

Family here in Richmond, to celebrate Moms 7th year of death. It seems such a short time ago. We miss you so very much. We have your Boyfriend with us. We always stop at Brengman Inn Land to have our lunch to celebrate with lunch

Had a reasonably priced buffet. The stuffed pepper soup was good and the german chocolate cake was moist. The salad bar was good, but small. The mostaccolli was average, the sliced sausage in green peppers was solid (not mushy like some sausage can be), the fish (perch) was good. Pizza was also on the buffet and looked good, though I didn't try it. I ordered a Manhattan and it came in a caraffe, good thing I had help else I might not have been good to drive. So if you're looking for a BIG Manahattan, try it, the one I had was good for two people. The waitress was pleasant, though we asked about Irish Whiskey and 4 people at our table heard her say Taramisu as one of the options, puzzled after ordering we found it was Tullamore Dew. Overall I was pleasantly surprised, as I had heard this place was "slipping." The buffet was $6.95 I think and though I'm not sure how much the drink cost but it was worth an additional $7. Not fancy or amazing, but not bad either.

We have been going here since we moved to Richmond 5 years ago. We go out for a special treat, and we are never dissappointed. The first thing that comes out is warm bread, 4 different types: Rolls, home made buttered bread, large bread sticks and crackers. I order the Steak Chateau, medium, most times and my husband orders the Chicken Parmesean, every time. My kids sometimes order the kid sized pizza which is home made, with a thick silky crust and comes with so much cheese that I have to wonder how they make their profit. But their specialty is seafood. When I ordered the swordfish it was cooked to perfection and fresh, fresh, fresh. The french onion soup is wonderful, too, and their salads are generous with different types of lettuce. They used to have a separate room for kids who like to play video games, but it's not there anymore, which is a bummer. For those who like to play Keno, it's there. I would recommend this place to anyone. You will come back, believe me.
