Nice small coney place... Everything was clean and it only took my breakfast order to be done in less than 5 minutes. ***Beware of the desert -- I order a pie which looked so good but unfortunately the crust tasted nasty.

I'm a regular there, not anymore. My total came up to $5.29. I only had twenties, so I gave her $20.29 so I could get $15 even back. She says no, you gave me a 5. I'm trying to explain to her that I only had two twenties and a single in my wallet, so how could I give her a five. But she gets an attitude and keeps claiming I only gave her a five. EDIT: I came back the next day and the owner found my change. Of course the woman says, "you did give me a 20". I'm thinking "no crap". I received my change and was also offered an item on the house. So I thank the owner for correcting the problem. He's also a nice guy. Other than that, the food here is great.

There is one menu item that brings me back to Durresi time and time again, and that's the Mexican Omelette. In fact, that's really the only thing I've ordered here...but after 30 visits, it remains a reliable, delicious experience. Not really "Mexican" by most standards -- it's Coney chili and processed orange cheese and crunchy diced white onions -- but, good lord, is it fantastic! It arrives steaming and perfectly proportioned with crispy hash browns...I add some Frank's Hot Sauce and mustard (on the potatoes)...and there's truly ** no ** flavor to match it; in any city I've travelled or any other diner I've dined. Please don't alter it, ever.
