It is an awesome place for breakfast. Three of us went there yesterday morning for the first time and it took us couple mins. to make the decisions about what to order because too many choices! The girl who took our orders in the front were so patient and nice with us! We finally made up our mind and it turned out to be great! Everybody was satisfied with what they had! We definitely will go back again! ;)

The most amazing omelettes and perfectly done hash browns. Well worth the wait although I think they might want to think about expanding soon!

Very good omelettes, love the California, good sevice, very quaint in the heart of beautiful downtown Plymouth Mi, A wonderful little town to window shop. Great atmoshere, smallish place you order food from counter then food brought out to table, seat yourself if you can find a table...especially on weekends. They do offer outside seating in warm months. Love this place makes me melancholy of my home town. Highly recommended.

On a weekend trip/ getaway with my wife, for our 15th Anniversary. We wanted a unique place for breakfast, and we found it, thanks to fellow Yelpers. Ok, here we go - the coffee is, as correctly described, very diner-esque, reminding me of another fave, Cavis Grill. Some look at that as negative, I see it as a refreshing in an era where finding a "Damn Good Cup of Coffee" (ala Twin Peaks) that isn't Mocha-latte-frapa-cramps is increasingly difficult. I had the Megatron - awesome combo of hashbrowns eggs and turkey sausage goodness. My wife at the breakfast it was number two what she felt was very flavorful especially the turkey. Her only complaint was that the avocado wasn't all that fresh, but then again it wasn't in season either. We didn't have much of a wait, but not long after we sat down the line grew exponentially. If you're coming after about 10 o'clock expect to wait for a table if the outside seating is not available. All in all, a great just experience, and we will return.

I've been there three times now and can give a pretty good assessment of the place. Food is very fresh and made perfectly. The selections are unique but not too fancy. Omelettes are fluffy but a little light on the toppings. Just a nice little local breakfast hang out. It is on my list of regular places to visit in this part of town. Be prepared for a wait on weekends though.

Amazing Omelets and Waffles.... The staff does an amazing job keeping up with this tiny and very busy restaurant. I have only tried the omelets and the waffles however, I don't see what else you would go in for. I also really love the orange juice it is fresh squeezed and simply amazing! Check this place out if you are ever in downtown Plymouth it is worth the trip.

This is my favorite breakfast place! Their omelets are good and the OJ is fresh squeezed.

This is honestly the best breakfast place I have been to. I have tried several different breakfast foods here, on several different occasions, and they are all to die for!! This is my go-to spot for breakfast. I have never been as satisfied anywhere else! Their omelettes are super fluffy. Usually a vege or farmer's omelette type person and everything is always fresh. I have never had another omelette as delicious as the ones they serve here. Hashbrowns are always perfectly cooked. We usually get something sweet as well, like a waffle, French toast, or pancakes. NEVER DISAPPOINTED! They have so many different options and it's hard not to want to order everything because it's always so good! The staff is very friendly and accommodating! There is always someone walking around to refill your coffee or see if you need anything. It is a small & cute place but well-worth the wait if there is a line. It's especially nice when it's warm out and you can enjoy your breakfast seated outside. Not many breakfast places can offer that. I also saw them on Channel 4's "Tasty Tuesday" segment a few weeks back. That should tell you all you need to know!

My wife & I really enjoy eating here. They have delicious breakfast sandwiches and Belgium waffles. We have been here twice in one week after trying it for the first time. The staff is friendly and the food quality is very high. The prices are reasonable for the value as well.

  • Jack A.

This place has an awesome breakfast. The eggs are always fluffy and the hashbrowns are cooked to perfection. It has a hole in the wall feel and we all know those are the best places to eat at. Staff is great!

Great little place. Can be crowded inside. Looking for a place near Plymouth that had vegetarian or vegan options for breakfast, I found this place. Listed on the menu is the unfortunately named "Hippie Hash." Note, not all vegetarians are hippies. :) But it was mainly a potato hash with grilled veggies. Yay! I also ordered sourdough toast. Minor points off for serving the toast with butter on it... I always forget to tell the order taker to not butter the bread, so my bad. Coffee was kind of meh. Drinkable, but a bit weak? Positive points for a vegan option, good food, and good service. And a heavenly smell when you go in. I bet the waffles are amazing. Pro Tips. Check in on Yelp to get 10% off the bill. Order at the front and then grab a seat.

Great place. Breakfast is always good. Quality service and kind staff is always looking forward to help. Little crowded but this only tells you how good this place is

I love this place. The ordering method is different, but who cares when the place is clean, and the food is great. Everything is made fresh with fresh ingredients. The menu is great and the staff is awesome.

My family and I ate her with my sisters family who live in Plymouth. We arrived around noon with a party of 7. Did not take long to order, pay and then sit. Food was great and came fast. When ordering, many of the items were not available because they ran out including orange juice. I was very surprised how inexpensive the meal was for 7. We would eat here again.

  • Jason O.

This place rocks, probably should switch to a classic waiter or waitress set up to ease the chaos, but maybe that's what makes it great.

    (5)
  • Evie B.

Smelled of burnt coffee while we were there and since the place is small, you couldn't get away from it. My friend ordered the waffles and was very happy with her selection. I ordered the BLT and wished I had ordered the waffles.I was a bit disappointed with the flimsiness of the sandwich- 2 or maybe 3 very thin extra crispy slices bacon, thinnest tomato ( if there was any). There's a reason it's called waffle and omelet. I would go back for either of those items.

    (3)
  • Alisha M.

The best turkey sausage and pancakes! Everything was great. My only tip is to be aware that there's cinnamon in the waffle batter...I'm not a fan of cinnamon in my French toast or waffles, but if you are, you'll love them. This place was a great surprise.

    (5)
  • Cayla A.

Excellent staff of super nice, attentive, accommodating, friendly people. I cant imagine anyone being upset with customer service here! Its a small place but they are fast and have a good system going. The food is great, the Waffles are soooo good! They have really fresh fruit cups you can get as a side too! The omelettes are different in that they're super fluffy, but are so good! They will also juice your orange juice for you right when you order it, and usually have a pretty decent tea selection.

    (5)
  • Kim F.

There really aren't words to describe how untterlu incredible the food is here. Now decidedly, I've only ever had breakfast but why ruin a great thing! The eggs are light and fluffy and the pancakes divine. It's a very popular hole in the wall so be prepared for a little wait but know that it's worth it.

    (5)
  • Jessica L.

Best food ever!!! Everyone here is super nice and friendly. If you go on a weekend, expect to wait but I promise it will be worth it. The fresh squeezed orange juice is perfect and their banana berry stuffed waffle is so die for. Favorite place!

Stopped in this place in downtown Plymouth ordered a corn beef hash omelette omelettes were fluffy I guess they wisk them up in a malt mixer ingredients were fresh and delicious . corn beef for the omelette was chopped right off the brisket not from a can very delicious fast service delicious food five star

  • Connie L.

I was introduced to this place by some friends and I'm so glad they had the idea of going here. I love that they have freshly squeezed orange juice. I ordered their country omelette, adding in tomatoes and it was sooo delicious. The eggs were light and fluffy and the omelette wasn't flat, layered with so much toppings. The hasnbrowns were crispy. I was so full, I couldn't even eat my toast, unfortunately. I love the environment and the art displayed by local artists.

  • Amy H.

One of the best breakfasts I've ever had! I was greeted with a friendly smile and she was very helpful in my indecisiveness. I asked someone nearby for their opinion on what to get and was enthusiastically directed to the waffles. My waffle with pecans and chocolate chips was wonderful! And my basted eggs that I requested as "not hard but not runny" we're done perfectly! Looking around, I have made a note to myself to order the egg white omelette next time. It looks very fluffy and light. The chef was very friendly as well. It is light on my debit card and a wonderful taste experience that I would highly recommend.

On my way to the UP, Michigan, I wanted to bring some gluten free baked goods to my hosts. Rumi's in Plymouth got some good reviews, but I had to wait for an hour or so before they opened. So, I stopped in at the Omelette and Waffle. I ordered the Megatron special...scrambled eggs with (processed) cheese, toast, hash browns-with onions, mushrooms, asparagus, and sausage. I also ordered one pancake and coffee. You order at the counter, pay, and then seat yourself. The food was brought to my table...they have wi-fi. The eggs and hash browns were simply done perfectly. I forgot to ask for the hash browns to be done crispy, but there was no need. They were done just the way I like them. The ingredients were fresh and delicious. Around me, the omelettes looked perfect also. I was disappointed when the pancake came. It was dense and rubbery. The waffles looked good, but if they used the same batter as the pancakes, I'd stay clear. Which, I never understand. If you go to the trouble to make perfect eggs and hash browns, why...why...why can't you come up with a light, fluffy pancake to match? Also, the coffee was so-so. Rumi's was a hit with my hosts.

Adore this place! Haven't had anything that I haven't loved. My ultimate and go to order would be the mixed berry crepes, side of hash browns and fresh squeezed orange juice. The crepes are not savory but sweeter so possibly not for everyone, but one of my faves. The hash browns are perfectly seasoned, crispy but not overly so, and I mean, fresh squeezed orange juice, what's not to love there? Also have tried an omelette (light and fluffy and full of meats/veggies ordered) breakfast sandwich, French toast and stuffed French toast. Best place for breakfast by far! Now the 5 stars is for the excellent food and great staff. The space itself is a little small so it wouldn't work for a crowd. But, they do pick up orders (maybe delivery as well) which is one of my favorite ways to go. If you go at a busy time, be prepared to wait for a table possibly. Off times are great and fast to get a seat. Best bet is to call and place your order for pick up.

Being a fan of omelettes, when I discovered the Omelette & Waffle Cafe in downtown Plymouth, I made a B-line early on a Sunday morning to this western suburb of the "D" to check it out. I arrived early and was glad I did as a line started to form at the door by 8:15 am. After placing my order at the counter I grabbed a table and watched a well disciplined kitchen at work. I was surprised to see them utilizing a retro milkshake blender to mix up the fresh eggs for the omelettes. I was intrigued by and ordered one of the daily specials hand-written on the board - the Reuben Omelette. It was filled with corned beef, Swiss cheese and topped with sauerkraut with a side of thousand island dressing. It was cooked soft, just as I had requested and was served with home fries and Sour Dough toast...very tasty and enjoyable. As I watched the orders coming out of the kitchen, I also noticed some great looking waffle and pancake plates generously loaded with a nice selection of fresh fruit and whipped cream...maybe on my next visit. The Omelette & Waffle Cafe is a very popular local eatery for good reason...it serves up a very good breakfast with courteous service in pleasant digs. The composite of nearly 100 Yelp reviews got it right...4.5 stars.

We came on a Saturday morning for brunch and the line to order was out the door! I like the system - you order first and pay, and then you wait to be seated. We waited around 15 minutes for a table and luckily the weather was fantastic so we enjoyed our wait outside. I ordered the Polish Omelette, my friends ordered the berry stuffed waffles and a Farmer's Omelette. The prices were surprisingly low for being a place in Plymouth but the portion size was pretty comparable to what you paid. The food was pretty standard diner food. The omelettes came with toast and hash browns. Service was quick and they pretty much left you alone after you get your food and drinks. I would not recommend coming here with a large party as the seating area is quite limited.

  • Laurie G.

Delicious breakfast spot with super friendly folks. I love the pecan waffle, bacon is cooked exactly to my specifications and they never let my coffee cup run low. The only thing I don't like is the ordering process. You order at the counter and they bring your food to your seat but the doorway gets very congested and it's hard to figure out the menu this way.

    (4)
  • Patrick D.

Wow! Very, very good. I was looking for someplace to kill time and this popped up on Yelp! It was pretty busy, but I think some of that had to do with a lot of people being off for Election Day. They were managing the crowd just fine. I had the Banana Berry stuffed waffle. Yum! Will definitely come back.

    (4)
  • Tommy R.

Great omelette, great hashbrowns, interesting service model. Ordering at the counter before taking your seat eliminates lots of waitstaff, but makes late requests difficult without walking back to the counter and waiting in line again. Overall very good, but not worth driving from the opposite side of Detroit for.

  • Lauren P.

This little cafe is great! The Italian girl at the counter was so friendly and nice as well as the rest of the staff. The service was efficient and quick, not to mention delicious. I had a breakfast sandwich and it was great. Good coffee. Just great service, and very very affordable!!

  • Misty W.

We have been looking for a non-coney, locally owned breakfast spot that was both unique and delicious for well over a year. We loved this place! The energy was high, the food delicious! The wait could be a bit intense and sometimes people grew upset with that, but if you have time and you're looking for a great breakfast in a high energy environment, this is a great spot! Plus, though there isn't a ton of seating, there is a ton of parking! (Added bonus: they do run a really efficient system to get people ordered and seated.)

  • Loren N.

Quite a little place! Friendly and service is good and meal came with dispatch. We will definitely return to this place. I got an vegetarian omelette with hash browns and toast and my wife got eggs (scrambled) and hash browns plus toast. Both were nicely presented and tasty!

    (5)
  • Kristen T.

Fresh squeezed OJ, using milkshake machine to whip inlet eggs - awesome!! Small but quick and really good.

    (4)
  • Matt B.

Their food is really delicious. Thsi is what an omlette should taste like. They blend the eggs which makes the omelette really fluffy and light. The hash browns are perfectly golden brown. You have to try the fresh squeezed orange juice as well, it's not to be missed.

    (5)
  • Saalai S.

Best hash browns! Crispy!!! Everything was awesome. Fresh, waffles yummy. Could do something to improve ambience and add more space! Felt little too cramped. But food was perfect, so will surely go back.

Stopped in for breakfast because of the good reviews on Yelp and was not disappointed. Had the BLT omelette, my wife had the corned beef omelette, both excellent!

The breakfast is as good as home made if not better. My girlfriend and I make an effort to come here at least once a month. Get the orange juice and make sure it's a large

AH-MAZINGG The greatest eggs I have ever had in my life. To quote Despicable Me: "ITS SO FLUFFY IM GONNA DIEEEEE!!!" The service was fantastic. My coffee cup was never less than half before they swept by and refilled me. We also had an amazing seasonal pumpkin pancake! Highly recommend the veggie omelet and oh my gosh! FRESH SQUEEZED OJ! Delicious, inexpensive, great vibes.

  • Bruce F.

Good southern omelet. You order your meal from the counter and they deliver with a number system like Culver's. It seems that they have enough waitresses and help to do the traditional order and I'm not real crazy about the counter order. I can go three stars.

    (3)
  • Richard G.

Very hip breakfast place in Plymouth. Good locally sourced food, causal atmosphere, very friendly. Only drawback is its size, a little cramped when busy.

    (4)
  • Roger H.

Always great to enjoy a good breakfast! This is the place great omelettes! Hash browns! The best in Plymouth also the sandwiches are fabulous! The best coffee too.. I frequent the place and have never had anything bad..

    (5)
  • Joseff L.

I have now eaten here many many times. Continually delicious and they've upped their orange juice game! Instead of fresh squeezed OJ they stared putting peeled oranges in a juicer. Oh, delicious, frothy OJ, how I crave thee.

  • Melissa M.

HUGE breakfast for cheap. I don't often find omelettes worthy of writing home about, but the one I had here was something else ... definitely makes the cut. It was gigantic and stuffed with cheese and other goodies - the eggs were so fluffy and buttery (maybe a bit TOO rich, but man did it taste out of this world). My only regret was scarfing down a big bag of chili cheese fritos while we looked for this place - really could've used the extra space ...

    (4)
  • Lynn B.

Omelettes are amazing. I never get the sweet stuff, but it looks great. Friendly fast counter service and then they bring food to your table. Very limited space and tables close together.... It adds to the quirky charm. You should go; worth the wait and lack of elbow room.

    (4)
  • Steve H.

Favorite breakfast food in the area! I love this place! Greek omelette and pancakes are amazing!

    (5)
  • Eric A.

HOLY MOTHER OF GOD! THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! The orange juice is drained from the rivers of Mount Olympus. The omelettes are cracked from the goose who laid the golden egg. And if you go, go with Steve Ross and Jacqui Benson. You won't regret it.

    (5)
  • Amanda M.

So not worth it. Yeah, the food was okay but it's a total rip off and we waited over an hour to get our food. My omelette barely had anything in it and the avocado that I paid extra for turned out to be three extremely tiny slices on top. :(

    (1)
  • Matt R.

Thanks Yelpers...never would have found this place without ya! The food was great and the service was completely awesome. It's not often that I brag about service over good food, but this is a place that you will actually enjoy having breakfast thanks to the staff that literally appeared to be having fun. The California Omlette did not disappoint and that famous orange juice...never had anything like it. Check this place out for a good casual breakfast!

    (5)
  • Jill W.

I love this place. As mentioned previously, you order first, pay and then find a seat. It's always busy on Saturday mornings. (Not sure what it's like any other time. ) Be patient. It's worth it. Waffles, blueberry pancakes and eggs are delicious. My only complaint is the coffee. Not up to the standards of the rest of the menu. However, that won't stop me from going back almost every Saturday!

    (5)
  • Chad S.

This is the perfect place for that cheap quick standard 2 eggs, hashbrowns, toast and bacon breakfast. All that for $6 bucks. Friendly service. Great local Plymouth place. Omelettes are really good as well. Best breakfast place in downtown Plymouth.

  • Katie H.

A friend and I made a trip to get breakfast here bright and early at 7am. It was too hard to decide, so my friend and I split a couple things. The waffle was perfectly cooked and came topped with fresh fruit. I don't know how they do it, but their omelette is so amazingly fluffy, soft, and melt-in-your mouth delicious. Then, we finished with the nutella banana crepes, which were awesome. The portions are reasonably sized and not intimidating, and the food is so fresh and leaves you feeling full, but in a good way. This is definitely one of the best breakfasts I've had in a long time. I will be back!

  • Lynden G.

I might be partial to local spots, but this is a great breakfast place. Get in before the rush, the unfortunate side to being a great small business is that there's never enough seating. Everything is fresh and delicious. French toast was cooked perfectly, the syrup wasn't overly sweet and the orange juice is FRESH SQUEEZED (literally right in front of you)! And the staff is exceptional. Always friendly and extremely helpful.

    (5)
  • Erika R.

Best mixed berry crepes of my life. I love this place. I can't wait to try the BLT omelette! It doesn't hurt that my company to this establishment was my favorite person in the world. :)

  • Racemic U.

This place is amazing! The crowd on Sat./Sun. says it all....people are actually willing to eat outside on the sidewalk because, of the amazing food. EVERYTHING is fresh and it really shows. They crush and squeeze the oranges for the orange juice, right in front of you. The omelettes are very tasty, my favorite is the veggie. Their banana pancakes are addictive! Their hash browns are always crisp and brown (never burnt). The wait staff are always very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend this place. Try it out on the weekdays just as they open if you are looking to avoid a crowd.

  • Maizey T.

Great food! Had the Greek omelet with hash browns and sour dough bread. Cozy quarters. They highlight local artists in their decor. We were able to meet the owners, husband and wife team. Super sweet and you couldn't find harder workers they were in it with their team clearing tables, serving food.

    (5)
  • Katie A.

Tasty, tasty food and fast service make this cafe a great bet. I had an amazingly fluffy omelet with fresh ingredients - avocado, bacon, and onion (it was the California), and the hash browns are well browned and flavorful (and gluten free!). Coffee was fine and the servers made frequent rounds refilling them. Prices are reasonable. The only reason I'm not giving five stars is that ordering at the counter in a line made me feel rushed, and I like to be pampered at brunch.

  • Lynne L.

This place has always been among my favorite breakfast spots until recently. The last few times we ordered carryout, the eggs were undercooked and the toast was burnt around the crust. Today we decided to dine in. My omelet looked a bit undercooked and I believe had processed cheese on it. I hope I'm wrong here but based on the taste and texture I believe my omelet was both undercooked and had processed swiss cheese on it. I've been sick ever since we walked out. Make sure your eggs are cooked and check on the ingredients you're getting to be sure it's what you want.

This was out first time going here. Let me just say we will be coming back. We were greeted as soon as we walking in and was fining a second to go over the menu as We needed a few minutes to look things over. I ordered the stuffed French toast. It came out and was cooked to perfection with fresh fruits and such. I also got 2 sunny side eggs with toast and hash browns. Everything was excellent. I don't normally drink orange juice outside of home as I'm picky about it but this place took it to a whole different level. They pulled out like 6 oranges and squeezed it fresh right I to my glass. I have have to say that tropicana has nothing on this. Lol. They had a check in offer which saved us 10% on our bill. Overall this was a great experience and I would love to become a regular at the omelette and waffle cafe and try some more items off of there menu.

  • Diana W.

This place is a favorite of my boyfriend's. A small yet homey feel, which might be difficult for larger groups. Order in front and take your number to any open spots. Get here bright and early or tables will be filled. I love the California omelette with their extra crispy hashbrowns and choice of toasts. Their stuffed french toast is good too. Waitresses are friendly and are on top of refilling your coffee. On average you will spend $5-7 for an entree without drinks. A good value since their portions are fairly big but won't leave you in an overstuffed food coma.

  • Jessica P.

This place gets one star for the good smells that came out of the kitchen. I say smells because we never received our food. Not being one to complain, we waited an hour and 15 minutes for our food. We chalked the wait up to being busy. However, when we went to get an estimate of how much longer, we found they lost our ticket and never even put our order in. The manager was very apologetic, even to the point of embarrassment and refunded our money. The place needs to figure out how to handle a rush. Judging from the reviews, it's always this busy so it's really frustrating that they haven't gotten better organized. Never going back.

  • Kathy O.

This place is the bomb, hands down!! For me, my breakfast food is all I ever need/ want. Haha! Their fresh squeezed OJ is to die for! And I honestly have never had a better waffle in my life! Whatever waffle/ pancakes mix they use is awesome! I know it's a tiny place and on the weekends it's usually packed, but trust this college-going gal! Everything you buy is worth every cent. Delicious food and by far, my favorite breakfast place. Honestly, try it out! You won't be disappointed! But if there was one thing I would recommend trying first, it would be their waffles. Hmm, hmm, good! (Plus, they just added in a new air conditioner and heater.)

First time there so i was kind of confused about the ordering process. It was a sunday morning around brunch time so my friend and i were waiting for about 10 minutes before we realized that you order/pay at the counter first and then wait for a seat. (there is a big sign that says this but i was still waking up and didnt notice). Anyway we waited for a seat for about 20 minutes AFTER we ordered (ill give them the 10 minutes as a freebie since it was my fault) which is pretty typical for a sunday morning but i was thinking that we would get our food pretty quickly when we sat down since we pre ordred. We ended up waiting another 15 or so minutes after that and all we ordered was pancakes and eggs so im not sure why it took so long. It was good though and not greasy. VERY reasonably priced. Bottom line: recommended for a cheap good breakfast/brunch but dont go during peak hours if you're really hungry. Also didnt like how close quarters it was.

First time at this little cafe was good - although very busy. California omelette was pretty decent, although I'd recommend adding extra avocado (for us avocado lovers). I'll be back to try a new omelette.

Glad I gave this place another chance. I used to go here years ago when Alex was the owner. It was really good then. After the next owner took over it slowly went downhill to the point where it was intolerable. I stopped going. Fast-forward to now....Omelette & Waffle Cafe has been under new ownership for the past few years. I decided to drop in this morning after about a 4 year absence. I'm glad I did. I noticed many new changes. 1) Food quality is superior. My omelette was terrific. The has browns nice and golden brown. The ladies next to me had crepes that looked really good. The pecan waffles headed to the next table looked awesome too. 2) Good service. They couldn't keep my coffee mug (yes, no longer served in a small styrofoam cup) filled fast enough. As I walked out one of the girls asked if I wanted a coffee to go. Nice! 3) The place is clean! Under prior ownership the place was allowed to get filthy dirty. The old brown dirty carpeting has been replaced with a wood hard surface and the floor was spotless. The tables were clean. Nice bright feel to the place. A big change from old ownership. 4) Friendly staff. Service with a smile. The newer ownership has done a nice job here. Good product, good service. I hope things stay that way. I'll definitely go back.....

Stopped back in here after a 5 year absence. Was pleasantly surprised. Ordered a corned beef hash omelette with hash browns and coffee. One of the best omelettes I have had in along time.Very fluffy. Very good taters but the coffee could be better. I also enjoyed this place when Mr. Slutsky was the owner and was sorry to see him go. Will be back again to try a waffle of some sort. This is a go to place in my book.

Interesting and different breakfast place with a big following. It's different because you enter and order at the register and pay, and then wait to be seated. The menu is on a big chalkboard and if you bought coffee you can get your mug right away while you wait. The omelettes are fluffy, that's their signature style, and the ingredients are high quality. The waffles and french toast are really good. It's nice to have a breakfast where it's consistently good with fresh ingredients.

Great food. Good prices. Nice patio seats. Fast service. Friendly staff. Pay first service. Might have to wait for a seat in weekend mornings.

It's been years since I've been to the Omelette & Waffle Cafe. This was Ken's first time. Saturday morning, and the place was packed. And hot. We scored a two-top and perused the menu while sharing Ken's freshly squeezed small OJ (which consisted of three peeled oranges juiced right in front of my eyes). I went with the California omelette (bacon, tomatoes, swiss inside with sliced avocado draped over). Ken chose the board special kielbasa, sauerkraut, and swiss omelette. Both came with your choice of toast and a side of hashbrowns. Tons of food for a pretty decent price. We both liked our choices, but Ken's omelette was a tad better than mine. Next time, we'll split that, or try another new omelette, and maybe some pancakes or French toast. They took my expired Groupon (at paid-for value) without batting an eye. Service all around was excellent.

Went here on a Sunday morning about 8:30 AM. Place gets busy quickly. Good menu choices and friendly servers. Unfortunately, our table was not cleaned from previous patrons; coffee not very strong; omelette and stuff french toast were OK, but really nothing better than average.

I really liked this place! Came here Sunday morning around 10:30 and there was a small line, but nothing too bad. I ordered an omelette with spinach, feta and sausage, with hashbrowns and raisin toast. The omelette was cooked perfectly and had a good amount of each filling. The hashbrowns were very crispy and not too greasy - just the way I like them! The raisin toast was very good too - I don't think it's homemade but it did the job. With the Yelp 10% off check-in offer, we spent $14 for 2 breakfasts and 2 drinks. It was a little tight in the seating area, but nothing horrible. All of the paintings of the chefs were totally adorable - I wanted to buy a bunch of them! Definitely want to come back soon :)

I take great pride in saying that the best omelette I have ever had is about a mile from my condo in Plymouth, Michigan. My husband and I have traveled quite a bit, and ate at many different restaurants in the US. I have a tendency to order an omelette anywhere that I possibly can, no matter what time of day. No omelette will ever be able to compare to the omelets made here. No matter what omelette you may order at Omelette & Waffle, it will be outstanding! Not to mention the perfectly cooked hash browns. It's a small and cozy place, and if you can snag a spot on the small outside patio, you're golden. Fast service and super friendly staff. We have never, ever been disappointed. Hands down, the best omelette I've EVER had.

Very nice breakfast! This was my first visit and I had a berry banana waffle. It was a unique combination that tasted as good as it sounded. The flavorful waffle had a mixture of fresh berries and bananas, and was stuffed with cream cheese. Delightful service. Coffee could be better. I will be visiting again.

This place is too busy for the size of the establishment. We attempted a Sunday brunch and before we even got to the door we could see people using local benches and stair steps as make-shift seating. There was no greeting by the staff or any notice of wait time for food. There was no attempt to limit the crowd. From a potential customer's point of view, it would be nice to know that if you place an order you can actually sit at a table, not on the stairs to the parking lot.

The best hash browns anywhere. The omelettes were great and not greasy at all and the coffee passable. The only negative is the seat yourself after you order. Table service would have earned them the fifth star.

I've never been disappointed eating here. Overall, the food is very good. Getting coffee/water refills or a forgotten side item is challenging when they're very busy, but when they're not packed the service is always good. The omelettes and waffles are wonderful. The regular pancakes are so-so, typical diner fare. But last year when they had pumpkin pancakes in the fall, they were very good, light, fluffy & flavorful.

One of my favorite spots. Great omelettes and pancakes. Wish they could expand the seating outdoors a little. We come often.

The staff are incredibly nice and food is excellent. Line can extend out the door, order at counter and take a number. The staff walk around and refill coffee which is nice -- makes it feel more like a restaurant. Breakfast is amazing with large portions and nice presentation. The Belgian waffle is heavenly! Very reasonable priced as well.

In spite of the size, the wait for breakfast here is worth it! Very friendly service and they manage to keep the place picked up and clean even when very busy. Has gluten-free options!

I was able to try this place a few weeks ago when my husband and I met up with some friends who are from this area. I live downriver so the likelihood that this will be a place we can visit regularly is slim but if I lived nearby it would be a place that I would like to visit as much as possible. When you first enter Omelette and Waffle, you place your order as you walk in, get a number and then sit down where they will bring your food to you. I tried an omelette and it was one of the best I've ever had. It was super fluffy and tasty. My husband tried the pumpkin waffle and it was SOOOO good, I took more than a few bites of his ;). The place is a bit small so if you hit this place up during a typical "breakfast" rush time on the weekends it will be busy so be prepared! :)

    I. A regular customer, but my last visit earlier this week was disappointing. My daughters bacon was way under cooked and had to be sent back.( a first) My toast was only slightly toasted on one side only. They were definitely understaffed in both the kitchen and waitstaff area. I hope this was just an off day.

Came here on a whim on a weekday morning. I felt a bit like a dork as we walked in the door at the back of the restaurant, and since we weren't aware of the process (i.e. order at counter, then seat yourselves and wait for meal to be brought to you) we stood around for a while trying to figure it out. Anyway.... Hubs and I each ordered an omelette. I got the hawaiian which comes with ham, cheese and pineapple. I know, weird right? But it struck me as different so I had to try it, and it was good. The eggs were nice and fluffy, and the ingredients were fresh albeit a bit out of the norm for an omelette filling. He got the western and said it was great. The other reviewers aren't joking with they say the hashbrowns are fantastic. They are! Not greasy, golden brown and fluffy. The special that day was banana and strawberry stuffed french toast. How can you pass that up? So, we got an order to split. Yum, yum, yum! Perfectly griddled bread with cream cheese and fresh fruit inside, and topped with a drizzle of chocolate. They are great about keeping the coffee coming, too. Definitely give it a try.

I love the waffles! The pancakes and coffee are pretty average, but the waffles, omelets, bacon, hash browns, fresh orange juice are really, really good. It's a small place and it does get busy, but it is worth the wait!

My fiance and I decided to try this place because of the good reviews it had. When we first walked in were greeted by a nice girl who asked if we had been there before, welcomed us and explained the process. I chose the green omelette with avocado (I LOVE that they have avocado) and it was delicious. He had the french toast and was very happy with it. I spied on a few plates around me and everyone's food looked great. The girl at the counter came by with more coffee several times and would have done anything for us. The atmosphere is very laid back and welcoming, there were even a few tables outside. I absolutely recommend this place, and I will definitely be back to get my 10% Yelp check-in discount :D Love it!

Had a nice experience here. The pumpkin waffles were delicious. It's a very small place and be prepared to wait for a seat if you go during the weekend. My wife also tried the fresh squeezed orange juice and it was very tasty and light. Next time its breakfast time and I'm in the area I'll be sure to stop by again.

I'm a big fan of b-fast food or, more accurately, I'm a big fan of omelette, hash browns, and toast. I dropped my car at Brown's Auto Glazing and Detail shop and went in (with hubby) to have b-fast. I loved the warm atmosphere and how cozy this place is. Plus the faint smell of oranges... No fried food, yucky smells in this little place. I got the veggie omelette without tomatoes, hb, and ww toast. Husband got the French toast and hb. My eggs came with fresh spinach and mushrooms (no frozen spinach, no canned mushrooms!!!), beautifully made golden hash browns and crunchy buttery toast. Holly Yum! The perfectly cooked hb were definitely not a mistake because my husband's looked exactly the same. Did you catch the part where I said that there was no frozen, canned or burnt crap on my plate? The girly-cashier was genuinely friendly, which I liked very much. This was my first time here, I can't compare it to the place under previous ownership but lemme just say that this has just become my favorite b-fast place. I can't wait to go back for those perfect, magazine-like-looking hash browns. :D

I have been coming here since I got my job across the street in 1994. Since then, there have been three ownership changes at 'Womelette', as we affectionately refer to it. The most recent transformation is nice. New tables, fountain soda and some updated decor have done tons to transform the atmosphere. My omelette was fluffy and not too greasy, with a consistent composition. I got a eggwhite Western with onions in the hashed browns, and wheat toast. Hash browns had a nice crispy outside without being overcooked and the onions had just the right amount of bite left in them. This meal made my soul very happy, and isn't that what omelettes are for? Service was polite and efficient, and every employee acknowledged me verbally upon seeing me. (kind of a big deal, especially when they were busy preparing food and helping customers; it takes no time at all to smile and say hi) I found them all very attentive (I think there were three gentlemen working there? It could have been a very busy two... :-)

My department used to have QTR meetings here. I still go from time to time. I love their food! Their Omelette is excellent. I would recommend farmers and western! Try their chili, best I've had outside of TX. Order the sausage on the side, very good! I haven't there for lunch, but they are only open until 3pm.

I miss the old owner Alex a lot so it may skew my opinion. It's pretty much the same place but Alex and his cook both knew how to get my hashbrowns brown. They also had slightly better omelettes, just fluffier and more stuffed. Don't get me started on the soups, gah Alex's chicken noodle was the bomb. He also used to make a rocking good concoction called a German hamburger and stuffed tomatoes or cabbage served with mashed potatoes and dill. I am weeping quietly at the memory frankly. The atmosphere remains the same minimalist vibe with no discernable character. I will admit this guy does better chili by a long shot but Alex's sucked anywho. The cook who may well be the boss is a rude dude but I am not too bothered by it myself, I am in without kids though. I usually get a garden omelette or a waffle with some fruit and am reasonably happy. I hear the coffee is bad but I wash my meal down with a pop so I cannot judge that. I like that they are speedy and that I can just eat and go on about my day. Usually I meet a local who likes it here, I don't mind but I think there are better things going on in Plymouth. This place could really be so much better honestly. For what it is it works ok, if you are picky you might want to go elsewhere.

What a great breakfast place. It's small. We came in with a party of 8 and were accommodated quite well. Fresh squeezed OJ reminded me of Orange Julius. Which was fantastic. Hubby & I split the farmers omelet. Seriously yummy. My kids all got the waffles. Some of the best I've ever had. We ordered our hash browns extra crispy and they arrived extra crispy. Perfect. The wait staff was pleasant and came around often for refills. One waitress in particular made our visit a delight - Ashley. All in all a really great breakfast.

Food was delicious and reasonably priced. I had a chili omelette that was just the right fluffiness and the veggies tasted fresh. The service was very nice...I felt welcomed by the small town vibe. I didn't go during the breakfast rush so it wasn't very busy. Overall it's a great eatery in a great small town. I just wish they were open later!

I am obsessed with this place! I have no idea how they make their omelettes so fluffy and amazing, but they are by far the best I have ever had. They have unique options, but my favorite is the veggie omelette with spinach, tomato, onion, FRESH mushrooms and Swiss cheese. You can definitely tell all their ingredients are fresh. And their fresh squeezed orange juice just tops it off. This is one of my favorite parts about moving here. Hope it stays awhile!

We LOVE this place! Waffles are so yummy & unique because they have a slight almost-cinnamony multigrainy ness to them. Freshly squeezed OJ is the best we've ever had - worth getting the large size! Omelettes are delish too, we really enjoy the Cali. I love the little things too - like how their little coffee creams are cold & refrigerated :) Franks Red Hot on the tasty, toasty hashbrowns also a big plus. Staff is always really nice too.

I only came here once before the new ownership so I can't compare it but I've been there twice since and I can say that I really enjoy it now. I stopped by yesterday for the second time and took advantage of the check in offer they had. This place is small, and not about gourmet food, but the omelettes are great, not too fluffy, not too greasy, good ingredients, and avocado as an option. The pancakes are great, and they let me custom build a raspberry chocolate one for my nephew. They also had pumpkin in the winter which makes me really happy. The coffee is diner coffee, but the orange juice is fresh squeezed and tastes great. It's casual, well priced, and a good place for a quick, good breakfast. Glad I found it!

I came here with a friend after walking through a museum and working up and appetite. We both had different omelettes, which were served with hashbrowns and toast, and both enjoyed it a lot. She had the Country Omelette with sausage and onion, big chunks of bell pepper and large ribbons of spinach. If you add cheese, it's extra, so watch out for that if you're on a budget. I got the Plymouth Vegetarian Omelette which comes with mushrooms (fresh, not canned, which I prefer), onions, tomatoes and Swiss Cheese. It was fluffy and perfectly done. I also appreciated the huge and nicely browned serving of hasbrowns. I hate it when they're mostly white with a few specks of brown. I want my hashbrowns to be brown! I thought the prices were reasonable-- I just had water and walked away with a bill under $6. My companion got a drink and added cheese to her omelet, so her bill was almost $10. In either case, a pretty good deal. The interior isn't too much to look at. There are ten or a dozen tables with chairs, and a fairly sparse look, and you order cafeteria style. A few patrons were eating out on a sunny deck out front when I visited. One very nice thing about this cafe's location is that it's directly adjacent to a free city parking lot.

I go to the Omelette & Waffle Cafe every time we visit our family in Michigan and the food never disappoints us. The ingredients are always fresh the people are friendly. I have yet to find a place in Texas that can match their corn beef hash omelette and their has browns are the best! Just be warned it can get very busy at times, because of the limited space and great food, but its worth the wait.

I just recently visited this breakfast cafe (twice in the same month), my first experience was pleasant and made we want to return to soon after. On the second visit, an early Tuesday morning (March 27) breakfast I stopped in there with a friend and we both ordered the same exact items we had on our previous visit. I ordered fresh fruit Belgium waffle and a side of hash browns and he ordered the veggie omelette with 3 egg whites. We noticed there were a number of food tickets before ours and when we sat down we saw there was a good table of 10 young men together. We weren't in a rush so we weren't too concerned about the having to wait 23 minutes for our food, though the delivery on our food/presentation has made us come to the conclusion that there will be no further return visits. The cafe is open to the kitchen where the food is being prepared and during the wait we heard the woman chef on duty call out there they were no longer any more strawberries (i found this troubling as I heard it because those familiar with the fresh fruit waffle know that the entire waffle is lined with strawberries as its main fruit), though I thought the manager was likely going to compensate for the lack of primary fruit ingredient by putting more blueberries, banana slices, and blackberries on the waffle. Though, when my waffle arrived to the table it had a sparse amount of fruits, it was very poorly presented. Secondly, I waited for the server to mention that my side of hash browns would be out momentarily but that did not happen. I went up and reminded her politely about the hash browns, and her response was "oh yeah, right" rather than the more acceptable response of "oh i'm sorry, I'll have that right out for you". Though, the response I actually received was far more encompassing a true reflection of our experience there that day. An unapologetic tone and zero acknowledgment for lacking the ingredients and mistakes in the order. My friend's omelette was not prepared in the same manner as it had been on the previous visit, where in cooking of the omelette the preparer had covered the omelette allowing for a much fluffier and appetizing presentation. My friend after finishing his omelette realized that he did not get his side of rye toast that is included with the omelette. He decided that it was fairly pointless to even mention the toast since the experience was already botched and the customer service was far below par for a local breakfast restaurant. On their website the local owners make a comment about how they treat all their restaurant patrons like family, but this visit and customer service experience was far from being an exemplarily experience of a company motto. Overall, I know what it is like to work in the food/beverage industry and I know when things aren't going our way behind the line whether it be a missing ingredient or product that people are accustomed to having available, we make it right by letting the customer know and offering something in place of that item (if we happen to run out while making it). Customer service is key to the growth and integrity of any company and I think it was what makes people come back even if their last experience fell below par. I wish the best of luck to this cafe in developing an honest interest in standing by their motto from here on out because this place does have the potential to deliver consistency!

This is mine and my fiancee's favorite breakfast place! The first couple of times we went in , it was with the old owners and it was ok. When we heard that it had switched over we gave it another shot and are sooooo happy we did. They are always very polite and welcoming. The food is great, I find it hard to stray from my favorite belgium waffle (it really is the best I have had, ANYWHERE) but my fiancee gets a different omelette every time and always says that this one is the best. Apparently they have a lot of great omelettes. They always make our hash browns perfectly, have great crapes with fresh fruit and the fresh orange juice is great. Yes it is rather small and has limited seating, especially on Sunday mornings after 9, but if you can get in, its well worth it! I don't know about other people and the canned fruit or veggies, because anytime we go in its perfectly fresh! I love this place and look forward t our many breakfasts there!
