Cormack's Deli is my favorite deli in NW Michigan - if this place was in San Antonio I would eat here every week! Every sandwich I've had was great, the portion sizes are huge and the prices are reasonable. The deserts are fabulous, the quiche and the potato salad are good, the staff is friendly and the view of Lake Michigan is great. The only drawback is they're closed on the weekends. I highly recommend this place!

Great sandwiches and deli items. Cabbage roll is good. Can't go wrong with a turkey sandwich. A guy here said Nates Mitch is the best, but I haven't tried it yet. Nice views of the lake. Can get pretty busy in the summer.

AMAZING I am a very tiny person 90% of the time I don't finish all my food. I'm the annoying girl asking for a box with half my food still on my plate. The sandwiches here are so fantastic that I will keep on chowing down even when my stomach is telling me to stop. The Long Island is amazing. The bread is so perfect if you have never ate a sandwich with warm bread you are missing out. If I lived closer I'd be here everyday.

Easily and consistently one of the best sandwiches I have ever had, I always enjoy eating here. My one and only gripe: They are not open on the weekends, so I don't get to go here as often as I would like.

Terrific sandwich (chicken salad on sunflower bread) Huge sammie with lettuce tomato and tasty chicken salad. They make their own bread and holy cow; it is so fresh, tender and flavorful. I could only eat half - it was huge. We had a bowl of soup, which was also fresh and tasty. They have a ton of options, food in cold cases to take away as well as pies, cookies and other desserts. Located off hwy 31, open Monday thru Friday. Come here for lunch. You will not be disappointed!

Amazing... We ate here twice so so good. We highly recommend anything with the sunflower bread. But I had a Greek with turkey , feta and spinach ! So amazing my daughters loved theirs as well. Seriously GO EAT HERE!!

A very stop for a sandwich. Generous portions and a nice clean environment. Also a decent view of the bay. When it comes to cold cuts I'm a Boars Head snob so that is the only drawback. It's a little pricey as well but would certainly be a stop on the list if you are looking for a sandwich. Thanks Cormacks

Very good sandwiches and soups - outstanding selection from a varied menu. It is worth the price to eat here if looking for a casual place for lunch. The place is only open during the week and closes at 6:00, which is fine. However, I went at 5:30 to pick up some carry out for dinner and they were already closing up for the night, putting chairs on tables and turning off lights. This does not make a patron feel welcome. If an establishment advertises to be open until 6:00, then it needs to be completely open until 6:00. If it wants to start closing at 5:30, then advertise it closes at 5:30.

Tons of great creative sandwich options served by a friendly and helpful staff. Don't let the lines scare you. They make a custom sandwich quickly. The broccoli salad is weird. Who cares, you came in for the huge sandwich.

Delicious sandwich loaded with toppings. We went in with a group of 9 and they had our food out very promptly. Beautiful view of the bay, helpful staff that had been around a long time. Plentiful seating. We will be back soon!

First I have to confess I didn't eat there. Stood in line and the menu and food looked great. As I approached the place to place my order we were told alternatively that it would take 25 or 45 minutes to get our food. That wasn't going to fit the schedule, but what ticked me off was the delivery, neither one looked like they gave a crap whether I ever ate. I'm telling you, if I had a business that was that good I would deliver that kind of news with the biggest shit-eatting grin you ever saw.

Best sandwiches ever. A little pricy, but worth it. Very clean. Fast service. Great sides. Soups are to die for.

I really like cormacks. Great deli sandwiches, and the soups are always good. Not super great, but they're good. I wish they were open on weekends and over spring break, but I guess when you have a place as busy as this place is during lunch hours when you are open, you can afford to close up shop when you want.

What a find! Love this place. I only wish they were open on the weekends. I had the tuna melt on raisin bread and my husband had the chicken salad. Both sandwiches were huge and delicious!

We were visiting Petoskey and looking for a good deli. And we DEFINITELY found it!. Food was made quickly and it was delicious. Big portions and great taste. We also had the cheesecake brownie which was out of this world. We liked the casual atmosphere. The only downside is that they are only open M-F. We would have gone back again over the weekend. Definitely check this place out.

Can always count on a great lunch at Cormacks. Nothing beats the tomato bisque soup. Sandwiches are large and filling and tasty. Sit outside on the deck for a beautiful view of the little traverse bay.

I've eaten at delis in NYC, Philly, Chicago and San Fran and this rates right up there with the best of them. Had the corn beef, pastrami and cheese with russian dressing and it just melts in your mouth. Wife had the Italian and loved it. Bought a homemade pie to take as a gift and friends loved it. Don't skip this place for lunch when you visit Petoskey.

Wow, amazing sandwiches, soups and desserts! Took the family, including grandparents and everyone was happy. The sandwiches are so fresh and big enough for two to share. The tomato soup was different, with lots of little tender cubes of carrot, we loved it. We tried the rice pudding, lemon meringue pie, brownie and carrot cake for dessert and all were excellent, especially the carrot cake. I had the last bite and my husband was really bummed. We got there just before the lunch rush, and a good thing, that place was hopping! It is a drive from where we live, about an hour and forty-five minutes, but if we happen to be out that way again, you can bet we are definitely stopping at Cormacks!

This is...by FAR.... the best deli/sandwich shop I've ever been to. A huge variety of sandwich choices, usually at least 4 choices of delicious soups, equally delicious varieties of salad choices AND fantastic baked goods including unbelievable cookies and pies. The list goes on & on but the sandwiches are just incredibly delicious & HUGE! I always considered myself to have a fairly good appetite but ordering a small bowl of soup AND a sandwich---- the women who wait on me quickly say, 'I'll cut that sandwich in half so you can bring the rest home with you---you won't be able to finish it'. I laughed the first time I went there and, low & behold---walked out with half the sandwich that I finished the next day! They must have like 30-40 sandwich offerings--- all shown on the big wall above the working area. Can't say enough great things about this place---- the only negative I can offer is they are only open Mon-Fri--- NO WKND'S! But there are other great eateries in Petoskey to try so no big deal......

The best Reuben I have ever had. Also the chocolate cake they have is so delicious. Always a good place to visit when in the area.

Amazing deli. Always busy around lunch for a reason. Family owned and its great to see the whole family in there year after year. The food is A LOT of food, so be prepared to share, which allows for more tasting options. Haven't had a single thing on the menu that isn't outstanding. Favorite of all time is the Guido. We would schedule our trips to Petoskey to be there on Friday for the Clam Chowder and a Guido. So good!

Generous servings of sand which fillings, decent bread and EXCELLENT dessert selection and quality...best in the area for sure. Reasonably priced, good service.

This is my kind of place, a small hometown deli set across the highway from a beautiful view of Lake Michigan. I guess my one complaint is that the sandwich that I ordered (a Turkey Reuben) was too big--but is that even a complaint? I was very hungry when I came here and I'm a man with a very healthy appetite, and I had to struggle to finish half of my sandwich. My advice to Cormack's would be to reduce the size on the sandwich with a corresponding price reduction. But maybe that's just me..... Regardless of sandwich size, if you are in Petoskey for the day, Cormack's is more than worth a stop!

If you want home made melt in your mouth yummy goodness then this is the deli for you. I have been a pleased patron for many many years. The menu is outstanding in variety. Current favorite is the tuna melt; tuna salad with Swiss on thick toasted raisin bread. The owners are a lovely family although you won't see Pappa Cormack because he's in the back baking. His wife and their son work just as hard out front. There are so many decadent desserts you will not want to count calories here. My all time favorite place to eat!

Food is great but boy howdy is it pricey. Staff can be lippy but soup makes it worth it. Don't miss desserts as brownies are amazing. Back parking lot can be hazardous so if you are driving a brand new car, park to the side.

Excellent sandwiches. Pastrami was one of the best I've had and bread was perfect.

I love Cormacks! Deli sandwiches don't get better than this. The restaurant is in a very nice location in Petoskey with a nice view. There are some places that make your mouth water each time you drive by... this is one of those..

Read the other reviews on this deli that's been in business since 1975 and had to give it a try. The sandwich I had lived up to the advance billing. There were also lots of deli salads -- potato, cole slaw, macaroni, etc. -- to choose from. I had apple/caramel/walnut pie and it was delicious! The original owners still do most of the work there and their attention to their customers shows. Everything is cooked/baked right there. Not to be missed!

Everything they do at Cormacks, they do with excellence. I do not think I have ever had a single bite of their stuff that was not outlandishly good in over ten years of munching down a substantial amount of Cormack's deliciousness. They easily rate the 5 stars out of five. Solid Five Stars. Not even thinking about it. Great view of The Bay as well.

Great sandwich place, with sandwiches that verge on gluttonous. It makes me crazy that they are not open on Sunday, but the place is so busy it appears they can run it on their own terms, bully for them. Love the Rueben!

Hands down the best Deli in the area. The soups are fabulous, especially the chicken noodle and the chili. I am partial to their sunflower bread and usually ask for this with chicken salad. Yum! Also love Uncle Sid's (which is liverwurst) and any of the turkey sandwiches, especially good is Rachel's Reuben. Lisa's desserts are wonderful. You could feed a family of four with just one brownie and the pies are great too. The staff are amazing and remember you by name.

Eh. Not that great. I've had better in Petoskey and most of it was a lot closer to town. Not that it's horribly far from downtown, but it's just really inconvenient when you have a great parking spot in a lot that you don't want to lose and sort of silly, considering how much great food is actually within walking distance such as: -Roast and Toast (sandwiches, soups, salads, and coffee) -Jose's (authentic Mexican for cheap, without giving up taste or portion size) -Thai Orchard (authentic Thai food) -Whitecaps (sandwiches and seafood, much cheaper at lunch than dinner, alcohol) -The Noggin Room Pub (seafood, traditional American - burgers, sandwiches, beer) -Flat Iron Deli (sandwiches, soup; friggin delicious) -City Park Grille (sandwiches, salads; up to par with Cormacks) -Papa Lou's (pizza, sandwiches, beer) -Julienne Tomatoes (sandwiches, salads; open breakfast and lunch) -Grand Traverse Pie Company (sandwiches, salads, pies) -Tokyo Japanese Restaurant (only sushi/Japanese food in Petoskey) -American Spoon Gelato Cafe (sandwiches, gelato) -Mitchell Street Pub and Leo's Lounge (both so-so for me, but you might like them) I dunno. It probably makes sense for someone coming from Bay Harbor or Charlevoix (or is working over that way) to go there, but for the fare, it's not really worth the gas (or losing a great parking space) to get over there.

Move over Zingerman's THIS is the BEST Deli in Michigan, that I have had anyway. GREAT food, GREAT prices, and even a Greater view on Lake Michigan. Very Clean and Friendly, the only problem is the portions are to big! LOL

I love the sandwiches there. Can't go wrong with the huge portions they give you either.

Best lunch stop in Petoskey. I've never had the same sandwich twice and I've never been disappointed. They have a loyal staff that has been there for awhile and always works to remember every person they wait on (with a mix of successes and failures - hey, it's a popular place!) They have a variety of foods, in addition to their awesome sandwiches and soups, such as fresh-baked breads and desserts. We've taken some of their refrigerated entrees home before and they passed the test.
