Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Great local restaurant atmosphere. Went in for brunch Sunday. Three ayce breakfast bar with drinks less than 30 bucks. Clean fast professional waitressing. Homemade food all over the place, from cakes and pies to biscuits and sausage gravy. Absolutely wonderful.

This place actually has really good breakfast, and the prices are cheap. Homemade biscuits and bacon graves- AMAZING. Only cost $4, and I couldn't eat the whole plate. Service was a bit slow, and the coffee was yuck, but i would deff return to try the dinner menu.

I was expecting a bit more but I was in for lunch. It was average GFS stuff, might try a pizza one day.

Dollar for dollar, the Wood Winds is the absolute best northern Michigan has to offer. Not a lot of flash or flare here but the place has log bench booths with some taxidermy specimens on the wall. Hey man, that's just northern Michigan baby and you gotta love it. First, get here as quickly as you can because it fills up fast in the morning. Sleep in and you'll wait 45 minutes outside to get a table. The place draws just about everyone: locals, vacationers, retirees, bikers and people passing through either to or from Rogers City. We personally travel 25 minutes from Aloha Township to eat here. Virtually, everything on the menu is scratch made in house. All the breads, sweets, soups, and sauces are made on the premises. The bacon is brought in from Plath's meats in nearby Roger City and it is incredible. ***NOTE***If you're ever in Rogers City or Petosky, stop and buy bacon from Plath's. Some of the best bacon in the entire state of Michigan. The breakfast buffet on the weekends is $7.95 and comes with everything from scratch biscuits and gravy, two kinds of potatoes, bacon, sausage, french toast, fruit and sweet roll tray. Heck, they even tell you can help yourself to the soup that's out there in steam pots. At lunch, enjoy the soup and salad bar or my wife's personal favorite the BLT because the bread is scratch made, the turkey is REAL turkey and the bacon comes from Plath's. The pizza buffet on Tuesday's packs the house from 10:30 am until 2:30 pm. Unfortunately, I have never had the pizza but the carry out orders start promptly at 10:30 am when the first pizza customers arrive every day. The menu is a standard menu: soups, salads, sandwiches, dinner entrees and breakfast. Nothing unusual, just everything done right. What can I say? The service is friendly and inviting. They just are that Northern Michigan kind of nice. They want you to be happy, so if you're not, tell your server and allow them to make it right. They have that much pride in their service. No one should leave hungry or unhappy. They have a tiny gift shop, so look for bags of carry out cookies and t-shirts/sweat shirts on sale. My wife scored a great heavy-guage, pullover hoodies for the kids. ***NOTE***If you're golfing at Elk Ridge in Atlanta or Ocqueoc Falls, stop here first or on the way back.

Good American food, good service, average prices. No complaints, just a average restaurant. I will have no problem coming back to eat here.

Good traditional American style food. They have specials and soups that vary from day to day. I've had various sandwiches, notably the hot roast beef. Also spaghetti. Both were good. Forewarned by the size of the spaghetti dinner, when I ordered the hot beef sandwich I asked for the senior version, which is smaller. They gave it to me even though I don't qualify; very nice of them. They used to offer pizza that was very good. I don't know if they still do. They usually have a little salad bar that includes soup.
