I hate doing this, but after our last two experiences here, I feel I should update my review on this location. About a year ago, Olga's raised their prices on almost everything, which was kind of a turn off. They did this by making their fries or salad as an add on to the sandwich, instead of a free add on. This makes their sandwich and a salad, which I order at $10 instead of $8. I am sorry, but this does not seem like it is worth it at this price. Especially since they give you so little salad as a side. That is the main reason that we haven't been here in a while, but we visited a few times in the last two months. The service has regressed back to what it was a few years ago. The waiter or waitress will disappear for 10-15 minutes, without any refills on drinks. We often times have to flag down a different waitstaff person to get drink refills. The food has potential as sometimes it is really good and other times it is not. We went last night and my wife got their salad, soup, and snackers. The snackers were cold, dry and hard. They were disgusting and I assume they had been sitting in a bin for a while. The manager should not allow food like that to come out to the patrons. My sandwich came out and then my salad over 10 minutes later. As the waitress dropped off the bill, she asked my mother if she wanted a final refill on her diet coke. We waited 10 minutes and then left. We saw her on the way out and she did not have a diet coke. I know that some of these complaints are petty, but it is all of them culminating that takes away from our Olga's experience. We had terrible service, overpaid for the food, and much of the food was subpar. Our Olga's days may be over, which is a shame, because this place could and has been better.

I have eaten here a few times and it's better than a coney. The bread they use with the Olga and all their sandwiches is fresh and hot! Their soups are very tasty and so are their salads. Service has been good to great depending on who you get. I wish they served Coke products but that would be my only complaint. This olgas is better than the one at the mall.

The few times that I've stopped in here, I've been able to be quickly seated and served. It's almost surprising how fast your food comes out, but that's never a bad thing. So far, my best menu discovery is the chicken shawarma meal. Greek fries, a pita, and tabbouleh? Count me in. The quinoa tabbouleh is delightful and chock full of parsley. The pita has a good sauce and a few veggies and the fries are topped with a sprinkle of cheese and herbs. Too much food to consume in a single sitting, but more than enough to be satisfied. Free dessert when you check in on Yelp is a nice perk. We tried out the orange cream cooler, which was too heavy on the cream and light on the orange. However, it was free, so you can't complain too much, if at all.

I love Olga's, however this location we had a super bad service and the food was not the Olga's we know. My husband and I came in after shopping, the place was not busy at all there was a few tables on either side of the restaurant and no waitress in sight. We waited about 5 minutes to finally see a staff person, and were seated towards the back of the restaurant. We were not seen again for our drink order after another 5-10 minutes bc we saw our waitress mopping the bathroom by the time she was done we were ready to order and thankful she washed her hands. She was not friendly and was inattentive. She brought out all of our food at once, even when my husband ordered a soup appetizer. One of the sandwiches was wrong and the other was missing the sauce on the side, the fries were hard and probably left out for hours, and the soup was cold. For a slow restaurant in the middle of the day during the week this was unacceptable. The waitress corrected the errors finally bought out our correct order and it took her FOREVER to get us the bill and bring us a box. How this happened with a not busy restaurant I will never know! Our quick bite to eat while shopping took way to long. The location we normally go to was much different since they include fries with each sandwich and the service is never this poor. We love the food but will not be back to this Olga's location.

If you are not from Detroit, you may find this interesting. It is a step up from Coney Island places and nothing fancy. The bread used in their sandwiches is quite good and there are several sandwiches that I enjoy there. It is a bit pricier than most places in the casual dining category.

Usually I love Olga's but this location is awful. I went for lunch with my wife, and upon entering the place, there was an awful smell. Kinda like a musty moldy rag smell. At any rate, when I informed the manager, he kinda looked as if he didn;t know what we were talking about. To my regret, we sat down anyways, thinking the smell will go away or we will get used to it, but it continued to get worse. We wrapped our food up to go without eating, and I am currently trying to get rid of the nausiousness caused by the aroma so I can eat my take out. I am totally not trying to be mean, I just will never be back to this location. Such a shame. I STILL LOVE YA OLGA'S!!!! That's why that 1 stars, 1 for reputation as a company as a whole.

You know how you hear the expression that your experience can vary based on how it the restaurant is managed.......? Well, this location has gone to hell in a hand basket, or at least our experience did. It took our Server more than 5 minutes to greet us and then another 24 minutes to get our grub. We had to send back the broccoli soup as it was a starchy, gelatinous mess. Our Server (Alex) was clueless and to top it off, had a non-emphatic approach, which dove tailed nicely in her sarcastic personality. We approached the Manager, and he reminded me of a deer in headlights and made no attempt of remedying this horrible experience. Too bad, this location used to rock....just reinforces the "you are only as good as you are run" concept. LP

I've never had a bad experience here. Service is better than most Olga's. My problem with Olga's in general is how horribly calorie-dense their food is. Nearly everything on the menu will set you back 1000 calories. Zucchini fries? 960 calories. Brownie dessert? 900 calories. Etc. I'd be curious if Olga's sales would decrease if Olga's put calorie information on their menu. You would think their food was relatively healthy. Anyway, the restaurant and bathrooms are clean. Food here is consistent.

The very best Olga's I've ever been to. The food comes out quickly, it's always good, and they always offer to get you a drink or coffee in a to-go cup for the road. I love that! The staff go out of their way to be friendly and talk to you about things other than the "daily special". Last night we had a great conversation about the new Batman xbox game with our server. Generally you can be assured decent food and service at any Olga's, but this location goes way above and beyond that.

Used to be one of favorite places to eat... But that was many years ago & Olga's picture used to be on the wall... Some of my favorite's are no longer even on the menu... Couldn't we please just go back to the orginal menu without all this extra bullshit??? I love the 3 cheese with almonds or the BLT with olga sauce... Spinach pie was so nice, fluffy and tasty... now it's a triangle of a tablespoon of feta and cheese... Some things need to change.. Other's should NOT change!! And!!! what about my favorite waitress???

Great location. I love this place and seating arrangement. It feels like a Coney Island but with many more options. It's a popular lace for all ages. And the snackers are amazing

You can never go wrong at Olga's. Great for an hour lunch break. We were in and out in 50 minutes and never felt rushed. Waitress was nice, quickly got us our drinks, took our orders and our food was great.

Let Me start with the veggie fries, can you say DISGUSTING?! Depending on what your tastes are,the wraps would be one good thing for you if you like that kind of thing, but they are very expensive and don't live up to the expectations of the cost!!!!

Unfortunately Olga's has always been one of my husband's favorite places to eat (as far as quick, sit down food is concerned). I've never been a huge fan, but I do enjoy some of the new salads that they've had on the menu in the last year or so. We go to this location quite frequently because it is close to where we live. It is ALWAYS packed. I rarely go when there is not a wait, even on a weekday. The service (or should I say the wait for the food) is normally a little longer than what I'd like to wait with two hungry little boys in tow. A few days ago we went on a weeknight for dinner and there was a 15-20 minute wait. We finally sat down and ordered our drinks and some snackers, Our waiter brought our drinks and a different waiter brought our snackers. Then our waiter was MIA for a LONG time. I finally had to go seek out the manager to ask if we could get drink refills and our appetizer plates cleared. The service was the worst I've had at Olgas BY FAR. It will take a lot of begging on my husband's part to get me to go back there again when there are so many other good choices close by in the area. The Brighton location has given us good service in the past so if you really need your Olga's fix, I recommend that location.
