They have a flavor of the day which is $1 per scoop! The gelato is quite good. I tried their bananas foster I think, and it was delicious. What a find!

Decent variety of flavors but some of them are made by Guernsey's which I don't think taste good and are below par. The Hudsonville flavors are good.... I would especially recommend the sea side caramel. Gelato is also pretty gud.

Fred's has an outstanding selection of ice cream, sorbets, sherbets and gellato. The staff (which includes the owner and his grandson, amongst others), is fast and friendly. Another bonus is the location- so close to Bricks and the Northville SportsDen that we can easily send the boys over to get dessert while we enjoy our dinner and drinks. I am personally a fan of the cake batter flavor-tastes just like a giant spoonful of goodness!

I don't want to be too liberal with my 5 star reviews, but upon a second visit, Fred's deserves it. Before I explain why, my first review had an error. I was not served by Fred, but by his son. Anyhoo -- My custom, no fat, blueberry and mango yogurt was heavenly. And I bought a Luna Pop... mango chile, which I savored later. Sweet (as in dessert) and spicy is new to most American't palates - I know it recently was to mine, but it is absolutely delicious. The popsicle is what pushed Fred's over the edge to a five. Their offerings are truly unique. BTW - mango chile is only one of many available Luna Pop flavors. Check the flavors out at LunaPop's website.

We stopped here after dinner one night and I am so glad we did. I tried the green tea ice cream, my husband got a vanilla shake and we got a vanilla with dog bones to take home to our dog. The green tea was fantastic, I've never tasted anything like it. My husband's shake was really creamy and full of vanilla flavor (the dog enjoyed his too!). The staff was really friendly too. We will be back for sure!
