This place has such promise. You can really tell they put money into it. Really nice decoration and fixtures. The concept is great: restaurant, bar, arcade, gorgeous bowling alley. We went for trivia. The problem I see is the lack of customers. We went at 5:30pm on a Wednesday in early March. Not "season" but was surprised that were literally their only customers for at least 30 minutes. Staff tried but seemed like this was their first service job. I hope they increase their business to fill the massive space. BTW: it's important to know that THEY HAVE A NEW CHEF. I was extremely hesitant to eat there b/c of the review on yelp, but things have changed. Creative, good fare.

Don't bother. Over breaded perch (said light dusting on menu), soggy lukewarm fries (we returned them and got fresh batch), average chicken wings. Turkey club sandwich also lousy. Noisy and full of kids. Next time I'll follow my instincts and not listen to friends and go to Garage Bar & Grill.

We came out for dinner to participate in trivia. We had read the Yelp reviews, but we were pleasantly surprised. The place was clean, service friendly, and food good. The owner came around to our table to make sure everything was ok. Contrary to previous Yelp reviews, they did have free refills and traditional, delicious tomato based pizza sauce.

Such a disappointment. Beautiful physical plant and lots of wait and kitchen staff. Great looking bar. Very weak unaltered wine list - mostly inexpensive. The food is clearly "off the truck". Bag salad lettuce, Sysco dressings (or someone like that), ribs that were boiled and collapsed off the bone. You know you had to worry when they had a choice of three rub/sauces! The steak my wife had was nicely cooked, but the accompaniments were weak. This place has great promise, but they will need to hire someone that can cook!

Waited nearly 45 mins to get food. The waitress never stopped by to check on us. When the good came it was cold and bad. The whitish dip was merely cream cheese. The toast that came with it was burned. The chowder was cold and the portions were tiny. My 11 dollar Reuben was cold, dry, and tasted old. This was our first and last visit to this establishment. There is no way this place will survive when word gets out. My family lives in Northport and sadly we will not be recommending this place. Cheaper and tastier options are nearby...and much better service as well.

Terrible. The food is over priced and came out cold. The service was subpar at best. Don't waste your time or money at this place. O yeah bowling would be great if you didn't have to wait an hour.

Yuck! Don't get the pizza. We left with indigestion and confusion. We went to Tucker's to watch the game. The beer selection was pretty good, but the bar tables were all a mess. We had to clear off a table to sit down. We wanted something to eat. The menu is pretty basic bar & grill food, and we ordered a pizza. What we got was disgusting. The pizza didn't have tomato pizza sauce, it had a chili/gravy sauce. I'm all for a restaurant experimenting or trying a different take on a classic, but the restaurant should explain that if it's a big change to a standard food. At Tucker's there was no explanation on the menu nor from the bartender when I ordered the pizza. In addition to the disgusting chili/gravy in place of pizza sauce, the pizza wasn't cooked all the way. The mozz wasn't browned or even golden, but a big mass of barely-melted, flavorless cheese way too thick. The crust wasn't crisp, but doughy. WHY, Tucker's? Why not warn your customers that what is on the menu and what the customer orders is not what will be served? If you want to use chili/gravy as a base for pizza, that's fine. But write it on the menu and train your employees to warn customers that they won't get a pizza with tomato sauce. Also, even if you keep your chili/gravy sauce as your pizza base, train your pizza cook because the pizza I got was an undercooked disgrace.

Great environment for everyone. My girl and I had a great dinner, extraordinary appetizer (go for Apollo chips). Daughter enjoyed the arcade of course and we later had a blast knocking down some pinheads. Trust Tucker's (their dog) suggested menu item. Mmmm

We attended Tucker's for brunch on Father's Day and were left wanting on multiple levels. Located in quaint Northport, Mi, Tucker's is a clean modern family establishment offering food, drinks, bowling and family fun. My initial impression was very positive and we were seated within a minute of our arrival, however we waited several minutes before we were greeted by our server. (There was only 3 other tables in the restaurant so it was not busy). Since we were having brunch we ordered our beverages and headed up to the buffet which is when my disappointment really set in. The brunch included NOTHING that was actually made in the restaurant, dried out pastries, some store bought cookies, a bowl of cut melon and a mixed green salad with only tomatoes and onions for toppings. I would expect this type of spread at a truck stop Big Boy but I am spending $22.00 for adults and $12.00 for children so I expected more. The hot food was marginal at best with the only bright spot being the prime rib which was tender and delicious. Our server past our table multiple times but failed to check on us or clear our dirty plates. He did come a replenish my coca cola at one point. When the bill arrived we noticed that our $2.25 sodas DID NOT include FREE REFILLS. In what alternative universe do you not get free refills on coca cola. Our total experience cost us $85 for two adults and two children with one beverage each. When we asked the server about the refill charge he said "I wish we had free refills". Please heed my warning the clean inviting appearance hides the true spirit of this establishment.

I was excited to see a new restaurant replacing Woody's, but wasn't sure about a bowling alley. For an alley, the decor and atmosphere is surprisingly warm and inviting, if a bit large for Northport. However, I was truly shocked to find some of the best ribs anywhere (and I've had NC, Kansas City and other ribs). The ribs are fall off the bone tender, with just the perfect amount of final grilling to give some crispness. They may put on a but too much BBQ sauce at the end, but just ask for it light or on the side. The honey-chili sauce is a nice alternative. The value is also really good. We fed three adults and two kids with drinks and an extra order of ribs (the kids ate all of mine) for $100. The second time around, I took a risk with the sea bass. It was also very good, if a bit small and simplistic. Granted, it would've been $34 in CA, and not $24 here, so no complaints. When my daughter ordered the kids ribeye, thinking it was ribs, they fixed OUR mistake without blinking and eye (and leaving the first meal so she had something to eat while we waited). All in all, a great addition to the local dining and entertainment scene. FYI, there is also arcade games to keep the kids busy.

Tuckers is a huge new restaurant, bar, and bowling alley all in one. It is modern and spacious inside. Went for lunch on a rainy Thursday between lunch and dinner. Our server was friendly and quick. The portions were large. I didn't really care for my crab roll. It tasted like canned crab meat. It needed more flavor and it was on the salty side. The french fries were good. My mom had a Reuben and she seemed to enjoy it. A decent place for Northport. I would try it again.

The service was good, but the food was sub-par for the price. My friend's fries were burned and overly greasy, and their Po Boy sandwich was highly disappointing. They described the fish as something you could get In the freezer section of any store, but improperly cooked. My DIY hamburger was average. The only person happy with their food was my son, who just had a grilled cheese sandwich. I would recommend going elsewhere, I would not go back.

I took four friends to dinner at Tucker's last night, and had a great time. The service was good, and the food was excellent. I had Tucker's Shrimp & Bow Tie Pasta - it was FANTASTIC! The shrimps were large ( I had to cut them in half), the pasta was cooked perfectly, and the Cajun Sauce was very unique. We all had a great evening, and the price for the dinner was very fair. I look forward to my next meal at Tucker's! Kris E. Northport, MI

Two stars because the food wasn't horrible. Some items were good. Others were ok. But the service was really bad. There were hardly any people there. Our group came in and the other workers barely seemed to help while our server was running doing various things to serve us. Took almost an hour to get our food. Probably twenty minutes just to get drinks.

zero stars is not a mistake...waited 33 minutes watching what looked like the chef ,bartender and manager watch the poor young waitress try and get to all five tables that obviously overwhelmed her. Never ordered never even saw food...there were some dirty dishes on some tables in the bowling room. What should be a hopping place should be hoping for some better management. I recommended you go elsewhere if your hungry.

Cool idea but terrible service. Went in for the kids enjoyment - video game fun. The machine to turn in tickets for prizes did not work and the staff would not take any responsibility for it at all saying the game room was run by an outside company. A waitress said she'd try to reset the machine and never did, never returned to check in and never offered an alternative. Sorry Tuckers, you lost this family's business and that of the families we are traveling with.

This place was surprisingly good. We stopped by for lunch, had not been there before (but have been to Northport for years). The place is new (we were told May of 2014) and clean. We both had salads and were pleasantly surprise how fresh and crisp the lettuce and other vegetables were. Both enjoyed lunch there.

A new restaurant/bar/bowling alley in downtown Northport! I love the decor - cool aqua, sandy neutrals and sailboats on the wall reflect the bay nearby, while stacked stone and antlers above the mantle give a nod to the up north woods. It may seem like a disjointed theme, but everything is clean and the decorations are sparse enough that they work together. The brunch buffet was OK and a decent price ($17.95). A wide variety if meats, including ham and prime rib. The biggest disappointment were the scrambled eggs and the salty corned beef hash. The Bloody Mary ($6.50) was sufficiently spicy for me and included 2 jumbo olives. I hope this place catches on and thrives because I am intrigued by the bowling alley. As a boater I've been to Northport on a cold, rainy day before and I'd like to have the option of an indoor activity other than eating, drinking or shopping.

Tuckers is a fun well put together restaurant which is great for kids. The bowling is really fun here and but the good is sadly only okay. For starters we ordered the bruschetta and a cup of the beef and vegetable soup which is odd because it should have been called the vegetable and beef soup. The soup was really good but they had an ocean of vegetables and two small chunks of beef. What a shame. The bruschetta was a real shame. It was basically toast with pico de gallo salsa on top of it. Those two things aren't even from the same country! I ordered the Caesar Salad and the Mac & Cheese for dinner. The Caesar Salad was good although it is nearly impossible to screw up a Caesar Salad. The Mac & Cheese was yet another shame. The flavor was good but the cheese was very odd. The cheese was soupy yet grainy at the same time. That needs to be taken care of. I would come back here if I was asked but definitely order something different.

Wonderful new location in Leelanau County. The food is good, though I think they should pare down the menu and concentrate on what they do best. Service is very good and responsive. The management obviously cares and wants to please patrons. The bowling area is great fun, modern and clean, with lots of room for the family. Kids like this place, and with a large bar and plenty of tables inside and out, it's a great place for the party crowd or large groups. I suspect as they gain experience this place will be a great success and a destination for all of Leelanau County. Can't wait to enjoy bowling in the dead of winter when all the fudgies are gone!

Menu is all over the place. Tacos or lobster? BTW, did not care for the taco bar. Dining area one big room like a ski lodge, could be broken up somewhat. I'd go back to try something else, but not a buffet item. Bowling was fun and not distracting while eating.

This place has only been open for six weeks, and there are some growing pains. The menu is trying a bit too hard and should probably be simplified. The ribs and prime rib special were fine, and the pasta was certainly nothing special. The Thai Sea Bass should be removed from the menu immediately (horrible, especially for $25). On the other hand, our server was trying her best, as was the manager. The staff was very nice. We had a ton of fun bowling.
