Average breakfast place. Positives include having chorizo as an ingredient choice for omelettes and seating for a largish group. But service was a bit surly, pancake not special despite the description, and hot chocolate watery.

I hope this review wakes up the kltchen at the North End Eatery. Breakfast was way overpriced for the smallest portion of food I have ever received for a breakfast order. Airplanes offer larger portions for breakfast. We got barely one scrambled egg on a minuscule amount of black beans between two small corn tortillas with boiled potatoes. This breakfast for two, with no toast, one drink each, a side order of two very small pieces of bacon was $35. We left hungry and went across the street to the bakery. I know this is a tourist town, but really....never again.

Went for breakfast and was shocked when the bill came. Way too expensive, 2 adults and 2 kids and the bill was over $50. Everything was extra. Waitress brought the kids more juice and charged for each glass. Did not tell us they did not get refills. The food was good but nothing to write home about, except the pancakes. They were great! I cannot afford to have breakfast here again.

During stay in Northport we wanted to try most of the different choices available to us in the town, and we were sure glad we chose this one. We hit up the North End for breakfast and were pleased by the extensive menu and great food. Server was very friendly and attentive the entire time. We followed our visit up with dinner that night, and of course had to indulge with calzones all around. These things were huge. The dough was crispy and the fillings were awesome (green olives!). We each had enough to take with us for breakfast the next morning (or else we might have come back a 3rd time). We will absolutely be back the next time we stay in town. Don't miss it!

Stopped by for a delightful lunch. The service and ambiance are excellent. The food is amazing, and the portions are plentiful (read: enormous). "Yesterday's" creamy vegetable soup and the mozzarella bread were outstanding. My gf had a gigantic calzone and said it was the best one she had in a long time. We will definitely come here again if we are in the area.

Stopped for a pizza at 7:55pm, didn't realize they closed at 8pm. The owner was very gracious and insisted we stay. Am I glad we did! The Italian Yard bird was the best pizza we ever had. We spoke with the chef (also an owner, family run) and he explained all of the ingredients from the homade pesto and crust to the imported Turkish peppers. Wish we were staying longer to try more.

What a great little stop for us and our dogs on our Northport day trip from TC. We were out exploring beaches and wineries with the dogs for the day and wanted to grab a sandwich outside with them somewhere. All of our sandwiches were really good and I had the super intriguing and pretty delicious dill pickle soup which I had never heard of seen anywhere else. Worth a try! Just a cute little patio with a friendly staff and great food.

Continues to slip. Pizza last time was soggy and very mediocre. Breakfast was egg white omelets served "rare" Not good. Home fried potatoes had a crunch because they were so uncooked. Hope they can get it back together.

Excellent breakfasts prepared with care. The Mexican dishes are VERY good! Sweet owner with really nice servers. Terrific.

Only can speak for the breakfast here but it is AMAZING. I honestly don't know how another reviewer had such a bad experience. My family is from southern CA and to find a breakfast with a spicy Mexican flair in this area was such a pleasant surprise that we've been back several times and never were disappointed. Get one of the Mexican breakfasts, order the salsa on the side (it is HOTT! But delicious) and enjoy. Mmmm. Last time we were there we sat on the patio next to Mario Batali, so you know... 'nuff said.

Stopped in here for dinner with a group of friends during our vacation. The pizza here was amazing, the BBQ chicken was my fav. One person ordered the philly cheese and it was delicious as well. Love the cheese bread because the way they cut it, was nothing extraordinary but it was good. I will eat here whenever I'm back in Northport, by far the best place to eat in the city.

We had a wonderful experience here! Our party included 4 adults and 5 children. We were seated outside and the waitress was friendly and accommodating. The pizzas were amazing, all with a crispy crust and plenty of delicious toppings. The home made marinara sauce was wonderful, full of big chunks of garlic and fresh basil. Service was delightful and food was phenomenal!

Great Mexican breakfast. We're from San Diego and stopped in Northport on the way to the lighthouse for breakfast. The Migas were delicious and so were the scrambled eggs. If you really want to kick the heat index up ask for the ghost pepper or scorpion powder.

Still one of my favorite "go to's" at the northern end of the Leelanau! Interesting food, for me particularly breakfast, great soups and sandwiches. Locally owned, the wait staff is friendly and efficient, strong and flavorful coffee with plenty of refills, etc. Just what you want!

The North End is one of favorite places to eat in Leelanau County. I have become a regular and a big fan-- The food is always tasty, fresh, and healthy. Breakfasts? They have a great mix of creative breakfasts, Huevos North, Hash Bash, Omelettes, Cinnamon French Toast, and the Coffee Club (2 eggs and toast). My fav. Where else can you get eggs and toast for $3.50! Coffee is good and strong too; house brew. Lunch? I am a creature of habit and always order the Cherry Gobbler with home-roasted turkey ($7) - moist and yummy! (You can order just a half too, or with a cup of soup.) When I am feeling vegetarian, there are lots of choices...and their soups are great too. I hope to get back there today for the Vegetable Cheese Chowder. They call them, 'Yesterday's Soup', cause the flavor is even better the next day. True. They always have a nice tomato bisque, but sometimes French Onion, or a bean or a mushroom seafood, or..... endless creativity on soups. Burgers? Yep. They have a bunch of creative burgers to choose from. I order the Jerry Garcia Burger (JGB) with swiss and mushrooms on a homemade roll. With chips, it's only $7. (They don't do fries - which is better for you anyway, right?) They also do pizzas - which are nice and light, not greasy. Big salads too.Paul takes his wood-fired grill to the Marina for concerts in the park on Friday nights. You DO know about the jazz concerts in the summer, right? There are dinner specials on weekend nights beyond special...call for more info. [I don't work here honest, just a regular fan]. No pie. : ( But their homemade macadamia cherry or choco-chip cookies are the size of dessert plates. The terrace is nice and shady in the summer time, and on cooler days, there's a fireplace going to glow for you. Free WIFI and a couple of TV's if you want to check the weather, or watch a game once in a while. The wait staff is attentive with the coffee pot, and knows the menu inside and out. They are friendly and make you feel like a local. Paul and Christie, the owners, are rightfully proud of their success in creating a local place with a lot of personality. What I would add? More organics, and pie! tip? Their hours shift around a bit with the seasons, so if in doubt, call first.

We stopped here for lunch. The pizza was good. Crispy on the bottom. The turkey / pesto sandwich was also good. Would go again. We also had good service.

Possibly the worst food experience of my life, and not in a grandiose way. The servers were all high school, and could either care less, like our "waitress" (and I use that term loosely, since she did nothing but deliver terrible food and disappear. The food wax AWFUL. I ordered what was supposed to be two eggs over easy with homemade corned beef hash and toast. What came out was two nearly raw eggs (you know what I mean, when they actually are so raw they have that clear leaky goo and you're scared to eat them?) lunch meat style corned burnt to a crisp and mealy, DRY DRY potatoes. How do you mess up potatoes? And no toast or sides of any kInd, btw. And about a teaspoon of food, total. Listen, I'm not a heavy eater, but the portion size was actually comical. My partner ordered what was supposed to be huevos rancheros, and I don't even know what came out. I've had huevos rancheos all over the U.S. since it's one of my favorite dishes, and this was awful. 2 eggs, a bad corn tortilla, and a teaspoon of refried black beans does not huevos rancheros make. I did see the cook while waiting for 10 minutes for the only bathroom stall, and he wasn't a teenager, so that excuse doesn't work there. Also it was about 11:30 and we went there for lunch but got to have our second breakfast of the day since they weren't serving lunch yet (???) and then to had to hunt down another server to find our disappearing severs to pay for the miserable experience. And it wasn't cheap! This was the only option open that day in Northport. Next time I'll stick to coffee and cigarettes (and I don't smoke!)

If you like non-greasy pizza not drenched in salt, and your veggies still a little crunchy with a home made crust, order their pizza. We got it, and was pleasantly surprised. We also got their ceaser salad (homemade dressing and croutons). It had a lot of flavor.....very good. The server was one of the owners so she treated us well. I would recommend and re-visit.

This used to be the Eat Spot and it seems they've tried to keep everything good about Eat Spot (homemade bread, good ingredients) and added table service, fun decor and a slightly broader menu. They are working out the kinks, so give them a try....

This place is a hidden gem! We dined here just 6 weeks after it opened and everything was fantastic from Yesterday's Soup, to my salad and my friends sandwich on their homemade bread. I wish there was a place like this in Detroit. The staff was great, the owners only cared about their friends that were there but the staff made up for them!
