The cool, relaxed interior in this beautiful brick building was a pleasant surprise in any city and especially the UP. I just had a large coffee with cream. It was less expensive but better than Starbucks. The service was fast and friendly. I will make a point to stop by on every visit to Newberry.

My husband and I are huge coffee lovers and we loved everything about this place! We stopped here, before heading back to Mackinaw, for a quick breakfast and coffee. The man who waited on us was extremely friendly and you can tell he takes pride in his job! The kids both got smoothies and a bite to eat and my husband and I got coffee. Kids LOVED their smoothies (not too sweet, just right) and ate up their bagel and banana bread. The coffee was outstanding!! Reminded me of one of our favorite coffees from back home, where they use a chemex to brew. They do something similar here, but not with an actual chemex machine. Even so, the coffee was great! I made it last all day, because I didn't want it to be gone :) The atmosphere of the shop was great as well! If we are ever in the area again, I will make it a point to come back!

Really neat coffee shop with nice decor. Lot's of great blends, I asked for a good medium roast and I was recommended the Ethiopian blend and it didn't disappoint, it was really good! It was the best coffee I've had in long time. They bake all their pastries themselves and it shows. I ordered their brownie which was really good and moist and had a ton of flavor. The owner of the shop is really passionate and knowledgable about coffee and different blends and is really fun to talk to. Everything was both better tasting and cheaper than Starbucks. I wish this coffee shop was nearby where I live.

Good coffee, one of the owners just moved here from Seattle a year ago. So he knows coffee. Very nice, friendly staff. Nice decor and atmosphere. Definitely worth a stop.

So glad we stopped here, never thought we would find such excellent coffee in the UP. A really nice owner and from Seattle, imagine that! Def worth a stop. A relaxing space for a break in travel. Also sandwiches and smoothies etc on the menu.

Excellent mochas and the owners/staff are very friendly. The brownies and Moose rolls (cinnamon rolls) are outstanding. So glad to have Great Waters Coffee as part of our Community!!
