Had a stoned tuna app--you cool on a stone table side ---was awesome Then fish tacos-three fresh corn tortillas with grilled tilapia rice and beans. Excellent fresh taste and a ton for 10.99 Craft beers and nice wine list You need to be here as they also have tons of sports on tv

Solid pick. Nice food, beer selection and fantastic service. The scene is unique, clean and fun. We only had apps, but if we ever happened to be back in this city, we'd gladly order dinner, I'm sure it's respectable.

I've somewhat remiss in reviewing Hank's Tavern, since I have now revisited the establishment twice. I defy the average steak eater to locate a filet mignon at their price anywhere in the vicinity. I've had the filet mignon twice and a rib eye during my foray into their menu. Their sauteed spinach is excellent as a side. This time I opted for sauteed mushrooms and a baked potato with sour cream and butter. I have yet to try French Onion soup (when it was named Bonfire), but I may be able to press the menu. My sister-in-law says the sweet potato fries are "to die for". Needless to say, we plan to return many times.

This was a great find after driving 3 hours in the rain on motorcycles. Great food and great beer selection.

This place is a place that can appeal to a diverse population. What I mean by that is that is that if your into sports and want to be able to see whats happening in the game any where you look you can see a perfect quality flat screen. But if you want a intimate setting for good conversation it also has that covered. The wait staff seemed proficient and we had burgers that were fun and had their own unique twist to them. The memphis burger was 50/50 which was half beef and half bacon topped with pulled pork and onion rings. I know I'm gonna probably die of a heart related issue but it will have been worth it. Need to go back to get another sampling so I can possibly give it the ever elusive 5 star rating.

We came here because we saw the buffet on the sign they had outside. We almost did not make it, but it was still active anyway. The buffet consists of enchiladas, make-it-yourself fajitas, Southwest wraps, black beans, rice, some soups, and salad at $9.99. They were all very tasty, especially the taco soup. After the buffet's time was over, the service started to slow down heavily. We did not receive an envelope or tray for our check compared to other customers and we had to physically flag down a server. After that, there were no staff members present to process my payment and I had to wait at their cash register until someone showed up to pay for it. Sounds too much like Chinese restaurant service, but it's American food. At least we weren't in a rush and we could take advantage of the fireplace more.

Not impressed. Service was good, but food wasn't up to my standards; which by the way aren't incredibly high. I probably won't go back, even though I like most of his other restaurants.

Had Hank's for dinner tonight. :( My sister and I didn't enjoy our meal, my brother-in-law liked his burger. We shared an order of the teriyaki meatballs. we thought they were good, maybe a bit heavy of the sesame seeds. My sister had to send back her beef fajitas. They had no flavor and tasted completely bland. She asked for taco meet in the fajitas instead and it came beck super spicy like the cook was trying to make up for the fact that her food from before was under-seasoned. I had the Mac Burger. It was over-cooked and my sweet potato fries were burnt. The Mac N Cheese was bland and desperately needed salt. I was disappointed that Hank's would use good beef but then put just put plain boxed mac n cheese on top. I at least would have expected something homemade. For the price, it wasn't worth it. Chili's has MUCH better fajitas and the station has much better burgers. The bill with tip came to about $60 for three people. The waitress was nice, not a lot of energy but very polite and often checked to see if we needed anything. For the price, we definitely could have eaten some place cheaper with better food.

Great little place in an unexpected location. Beautiful interior; warm and inviting. My husband and I went for our anniversary. Our waitress was attentive and polite. We ordered the ahi tuna tapa. It was great! Thick tender cuts of tuna that you cook yourself on a heated stone at your table. Very unique! I had the fish tacos which were full of flavor and very filling! My husband had the filet mignon medallions. They were a little smaller than we expected and slightly over cooked. When we passed on more drinks and dessert the waitress offered a complimentary sundae for our anniversary--exemplary! Had a great experience and will come again.

Excellent food, nice ambience. Great service, and great martinis they are made with real lime juice. Hamburger is fresh and good. Grandma popcorn is a must have.

Had the Hank's burger, and the split pea soup. So good! The place had the big screens for the games but it was all classy decor. I think I'll try the meatballs next time.

Place is horrible! Went there after a Lumberjacks game...they couldn't handle the small volume...waitress was flippant, food took over an hour to arrive and my fajita salad tasted like FISH....even people at my table couldn't believe the overwhelming smell of fish. The didn't divide the bill right and couldn't even get it right the second time. They tried to give me a gift card for $25, but I will NEVER use it! I will never go here again, EVER! We had people in from out of town and how embarrassing that this is the Muskegon experience! Never again. Not even worth one star, but have to add this to qualify. This place is absolutely the pit of Muskegon!

1st time guest. Staff was friendly. Really cool decor. Had a couple really huge TV's which had the game on. Cool, cool. The wings were good. Just stopped in for lunch so didn't really try the menu.

We had such high hopes going into our lunch at Hank's Tavern. We both ordered a specialty burger and sense we do not eat meat with both ordered the black bean option. I ordered the guacamole burger which comes with bacon, so I informed the waiter that I did not want bacon and was assured it would not be a problem. Well as you can guess the burger arrived with 4 strips of crisp bacon which looked delicious but not what I wanted. I called the waiter over explained that I still didn't eat meat and it was whisked away with the promise that they would remake my entire plate. Wow, maybe 2 minutes later the burger is brought back looking as if it went through the food processor! The waiter tells me that he took another black bean burger from a different order and had the kitchen remake my order with the now stolen burger. Guess what, The very first bite and what do I get??? Yup bacon! They just picked the bacon off my original burger and served me the same burger minus 90% of the bacon. The thing that upsets me the most is being flat out lied to. I can handle the kitchen or wait staff screwing up the occasional order, but don't lie to us. My date ordered the olive burger which is a funny name for something with hardly no olives and literally covered in mayonnaise. More bad news the prices! It's named Hank's Tavern not Hank's fine dining, come on your in Muskegon not Traverse City or Grand Haven. We had 2 burgers and 1 draft beer each and it would of been over $30.00 with a tip! Luckily they removed my bacon non bacon burger and beer. I wish I was writing a rave review about what looks like a great menu and very attractive decor but it wasn't a good experience. The thing that really upsets us is the fact that we were lied to about the burger. As you can guess we will not be going back to Hank's Tavern.
