Good combination of food and price. Great family place, became our hang-out. But the turn-over in the staff keeps it from feeling like family.

All I have to say is "all you can eat ribs." Dirt cheap food and beer. Great place for happy hour or to watch a game. I can't believe Michigan restaurants still have smoking sections. Join the rest of civilized society, and realize that second hand smoke ruins dinner for everyone in the restaurant.

The "sizzler" steak is their claim to fame. It's a good deal and consistently tasty. Other stuff on the menu is hit or miss.

My favorite chain steak house in the Muskegon area. We eat there quite often and I have never had bad service. I love the seasoning they use on their steaks and they are served on hot sizzling platters. I slide my baked potato onto the hot platter for the extra flavor. I also love a good margarita and Brann's serves one of the best I have ever had and at only $2.99!! They don't skimp on the tequila either. I usually can only drink one. My husband loves their Rum Runners. . .he gets his mambo! We don't go for the sports so we sit outside whenever weather permits. Love it!!

Used to love this place, but the food has really gone down hill. Hardly a steak house, really false advertising right off the bat. They pride themselves on their sirloin, which is extremely gummy and has zero taste. It's god awful. Cut small pieces because you will be chewing for a long time. My jaw was sore half way through. What's really horrible is the staff. Quite incompetent. I was given an incorrect number of menus so I ventured to the hostess to ask for more. She had a pocket full of menus at her stand, yet she looked at me like I had 3 heads and when I asked her for more. Not sure her brain was on that day. This place has really fallen on hard times, hiring sub par employees to save a buck. Bad food, bad service, incompetent staff, really not worth your hard earned dollar. Used to love it, but I have to leave it. I urge people to drive right past this place when driving thru Muskegon.

Nice selection on the menu so everyone in the family can find something they like. The wait staff is always pretty friendly.

Came to a steakhouse expecting them to know how to make a steak or at least know how to identify a steak! I ordered a 12 ounce ribeye when it came to my table it was a quarter inch thick slice of prime rib and I think they try to season it thinking I would not know the difference not happy at all the cooks in the kitchen never should have let that piece of me leave the kitchen

I stay in the Fairfield Inn across the street a few times a year and have been to Brann's a half dozen times. The food is very average and the service can be great or terrible (our order last time came out wrong, the server brought us the wrong beers) but look at the bright side: the food is better than at nearby Buffalo Wild Wings and after 10pm those who want to grab a drink/bite and watch sports only have these two options. If being forced to choose Brann's has better food, but Buffalo Wild Wings might pace better when it comes to service. Both, however, offer an endless assortment of beer and more than ample setting of TVs to watch just about any sporting event alive. If you come to Brann's banking to enjoy drinks while munching on average food, you'll leave thrilled.

Gave two stars for price and service. Food would get a negative one. Chardonnay chicken tasted like paper, wine glass was dirty and smelled funny and my daughter's kid's meal steak was hard and rubbery. With all the excellent, comparable local choices in Muskegon like Pints and Quarts, I will make this place a distant memory.

I guess Brann's is like a Midwest TGI Friday's or something, though it's better than that. The ribs were pretty darn good, and they had a decent beer selection. There are lots of TVs tuned to sports (yay). It's nothing spectacular, but a good place for big groups. The service was good and fast, and we had a big group, so that's nice.

Tried it once, and never again. Just moved here from out of state, ordered a drink that they claimed they did not know how to make.... look it up. Go to the bartender's guide, or anyone's smart phone and figure it out. All it required was a different kind of mixer than they were used to. When the bill came, we see that for that small cocktail, it was almost $6.00 Asked the waiter for a recommendation on the menu, he recommended a dish and said he had it plenty of times and that it was delicious. Based on that, I ordered it. If you're a waiter.... do not recommend the WORST possible item on your menu. This pasta was so overcooked, it turned into mush in your mouth. The chicken on top consisted of ONE medium-sized tenderloin cut up, and there was no seasoning whatsoever apart from some hard bacon bits sprinkled on top. Mushy pasta and one chicken tenderloin = $11 It was honestly the worst dish I ever had from a restaurant before. On top of that, it was a Sunday so the waiter also recommended the bloody marys -- big mistake. It was so watered down and they just add a bunch of spice to distract you from the fact that there's basically no booze in it at all. Why make that your special if your bartenders aren't even properly trained on how to make it? It was a horrible experience and we'll never go back.

I arrived here on a Friday night hungry for a steak and potato and a beer to wash it down. The waitress took a while getting to the table. I asked what beers were on tap. She mentioned the standard domestics and then said they also had a Michigan brew list. I asked her what they were and she was struggling to remember. I asked her what company made the first beer she mentioned. She couldn't remember, so she flagged down another server who was walking by. He had to sort through his apron for a list. She then mentioned another beer and I asked who made that and her response was "you keep asking me all of these weird questions" with some attitude. I said how about a glass of water while you see what beers you have. She returned with a list of beers that was totally different than what they mentioned previously. I ordered the bells cream stout. She said she only worked on the weekends so she didn't know the beer list. I didn't get that... It was around 6 on a Friday in a sports bar, you'd think she would have knowledge of the products and the ability to describe them if not upsell a little. I ordered the famous 8 oz sizzler with sauteed mushrooms, a loaded baked potato and a blue cheese vinnegrette salad. The food was very good and arrived in a timely manner. I left very full and satisfied. The staff sings cheesy birthday songs that involve walking through the entire restaurant clapping their hands and singing. Very irritating - is this a sports bar or chucky cheese? I felt embarrassed for the workers who are forced to sing them. There were three birthdays apparently while we were there - so the loud procession of clapping continuously interrupted the meal. Overall, I would give the food 4 stars and the service 3 for the rude waitress.

Average service...okay food. Depends on the day.

Moderately priced for lower quality. Better off heading down the street to Texas Roadhouse

No. That is universal answer for any question you may have about Brann's. "Is the food tasty?" No. "Are the waiters friendly and efficient?" No. "Well, does the staff at least act like they are listening or give 1/10 of an ef?" No. "Surely, they must at least get the food you ordered to your table correctly, right? Or, upon being told that the food in front of you is not what you ordered, offer to fix the problem rather than mutter 'sorry' and walk away?" Again, No. "Well, it's just a horrendous faux-sports bar posing as a steakhouse. The steak is probably ok, right?" My sources say No. Kids, it's true: "No" is the answer to every question you could possibly ask about this place. Oh, unless you were to ask if the waitresses are C-words and the soup looks and tastes like congealed semen. In that case, I'd have to say, "YES."

Nice place...we ate outside on a warm day and it was very nice with good music playing. My wife had the sirloin and I had the chili peach talapia. Both were excellent. The service was excellent and very attentive.

We sat outside on the patio and had a wonderful meal. The steaks were perfectly done, the salmon was good, and the portions were generous. The service was excellent and friendly. Good value and highly recommended. The inside seating has lots of TVs tuned to different games, basically a sports bar. Probably too noisy for us inside but the patio was very nice.

i frequent this place fairly often because as far as sports bars go, it's unbeatable. tv literally everywhere you look. but i'm just not thrilled with anything else. i'm a craft beer girl and i get sick of the selection and the food is mediocre. the service is pretty good and they do have good drink specials though. i gave an extra star for $2.99 margaritas all day everyday. can't beat that either and they're good! when it comes to food and beer (and atmosphere now that i think of it), i would rather go anywhere else to watch the game, but nowhere else in muskegon is there a better tv quality/quantity.

We had a great lunch at an exceptional price. Prime Rib, salad and veggie for $8.95. Cut of meat was generous and delicious, cooked slightly more than we requested, but tasty. Salad was fresh. Waiter was great and the number of quality TV's make it one of the best sports watching venues I have ever seen.

Over ten years of service in a town with lots of turnover for restaurants. I still enjoy the food here and the service has always been decent. One of my favorite bars with tv's as well.

This place sucks. It is exactly like a Outback Steakhouse. I ordered a medium well steak and my steak was DRY AS HELL. What the heck? Our waitress was also rude. This place sucks, the drink was OK the first time and after the refill came, it was way TOO sweet. Very inconsistent.
