    I have been going to Rocky's for lunch for the past six months. Their chicken jambalaya is a bargain at $3.50 for a good size bowl. They just opened for dinner until 10pm and I tried it with two friends tonight. There are limited dining options in downtown Monroe and outside of a pub this is the best choice. Three of us went. It is a small plates menu and the most expensive thing on the menu is $12. Two had Ceasar salad, which was a good size and I had the sauteed Brussels sprouts with bacon. Two of us had the filet medallions and one had the chicken parmigiano with penne. The medallions were more like beef tips than medallions, the chicken parm was described as very good. We then had the sea scallops and shrimp (the menu fails to mention the shrimp, but the chef explained the error on the menu). The scallops were delicious, cooked perfectly and sweet. Both of us wanted more scallops and could have done without the shrimp. One of us had the apple pie which was baked apples on top of filo dough. She love it. The menu had at least 10 entrees I would try and I will return. They have the potential to be a very good restaurant and I hope they respond to their customers with continuing improvements. I will go back at least twice more. It is very new and still working out the kinks but for those of us traveling and staying in downtown Monroe this is a great real food option instead of just pub food. The chef is on the right track with flavors and the menu and I wish them success.

    I had really really high hopes for this place. My husband and I went in during lunch time- and there were only 2 other tables in the restaurant, both already with meals. We were sat quickly, and got our drinks fast. The server was massaging his facial hair while taking our order, which was kind of weird, and a little unsanitary, but whatever. We order 2 of their wraps (ceasar and turkey/bacon), both of which were going to be romaine wraps, so like, wrapped in lettuce. I also ordered a french onion soup and sweet potato fries, while my husband opted for the brussel sprouts. The wait for our food was REALLY long. Like, ridiculously long considering we were the first table in there without food before the lunch crowd showed up. The server commented "Oh here is your soup, sadly, I'll be following behind it with your meal". A little annoying but whatever, I know french onion takes more time than your average soup. So, our "Romaine wrapped" wraps come out, and they are not wrapped. At all. The insides of our wraps are piled up on the side of the plate, and there are 3 pieces of romaine sitting next to it. So I guess it was supposed to be my job to wrap my own wrap if I wanted to eat it that way. My husband's caesar wrap was a small amount of caesar salad just next to some more lettuce. Not exactly a glowing presentation of a wrap. I ended up just eating mine from the pile on the plate, seeing as my turkey/bacon/cheese was a giant pile of meat with melted cheese on it- so trying to wrap it in lettuce would have been a giant pain. My soup was decent, no complaints there. My sweet potato fries were overcooked, so I didn't end up eating any. My husband didn't complain about the sprouts, but we were overall dissapointed. I overheard the server telling another table "Sorry about your wait, we're short staffed today" but sadly, that's not a good excuse if you want to keep your business going- especially if most of their clientele are people on lunch break who need to get in and out fast.

    We are new in town and went to Rocky's for the first time last night. The food was absolutely delicious, the price was amazing but the service was horrible. For the amount of people that were in the restaurant, the wait for service was extensive. We had been told and forewarned about the service before hand. We will return for the delicious tapas but we will add additional time in our schedule.
