Somewhat divey...but clean, comfortable, and friendly. There are games, lottery ticket machines, keno, all your typical bar stuff.... but oh my god what this place is known for... is its hamburger. My Bacon Burger was awesome and me wife's cheeseburger was top notch. Prices were reasonable on everything and our " Yukon Jack " pours were decent. The French Fries. These were the closest to tasting like McDonald's Fries I have ever come across outside McDonald's. Merely an observation. Recent Burger rankings... 1) Vinsetta Garage. Berkley Mi. 2 tie ) Don Larson's Bar. Monroe Mi. 2 tie ) Great Lakes Eatery. Dundee Mi 3) Dans Downtown Tavern. Saline Mi. 4) Pete's Garage. Monroe Mi. ( Monday night $1 burger special only for value vs taste. ) 5 ) Walnut Bar. Petersburg MI. 6) Bar 145. Toledo Oh 7 ) Sidelines. Lambertville. Mi. 8) everyone else. Mind you... there are many I have yet to try. Every place on this list has an awesome Hamburger. E.g ..Number #7 is still a damn good burger. But... Larson's is a top notch "Bar Burger" 5 and 1/2 Stars.

I guess I'll begin my review by stating my visit to Larsons Bar and Grill was my first and last. We sat at the bar on a peppy Saturday night. A bird's eye view of cross contamination galore. Hands touching raw bacon then reaching into Tupperware containers housing sliced lemons and limes for drinks. No sink visible near grill for hand washing. Watched waitress/bartender eating bacon off of grill while cooking meal for customer. Observed hands handling raw bacon reaching into zip lock bag of shredded cheese for chili fries. Then remove some cheese from chili fries..and cheese was put back into Zip lock bag...presumably for the next unsuspecting victim. Maybe hand washing is a hassle for these people. Or hand sanitizer unknown to them. But mandatory if you are serving patrons food. If you're going to be a restaurant there are basic codes to follow. Like not eating food from customers orders and cross contaminating....EVERYTHING. The gin and tonic I ordered was solid. No complaints. Waitstaff friendly. Just disgusting food handling. Pure and simple. The drinks are strong..perhaps they keep patrons hammered and oblivious to all behind the bar happenings. If I had to choose to eat the "best burger in town" from this place or a bullet ..I'd gladly choose the bullet. A quicker, less painful death.

If you're craving a burger and beer this is the place. Still the best bar burger and coldest beer ive had. Can't go wrong. Reasonable prices too. They've recently added a great outdoor patio as well. Give it a try, you'll be back

Group of us went there expecting great things, waitress was very friendly but could have used more help. Waitressing, bussing and bar tending at the same time is no easy task. Waitress took down order correctly, cook screwed it up. Most of our burgers were overcooked, dry, and getting cold. Our food came out in 3 groups each about 10 minutes apart. The first group was done eating before the last group got their food. The fries were amazing. The fries were the meals saving grace. I will however give Larsons another chance one of these days. Might have been an off night.

Had a great time at Larson's. My nephew Greg Hudkins was singing and also visiting with friends and family was great. The food is so great tasting The club sandwich was so tasty as was the fries and onion rings. Best food in the town, I'll agree with that!!! I was so glad we were able to come out and have a great time. It's a fun place to go have great entertainment and enjoy yourself. Being in the bar brings back so many memories from as a child to now.

I'd give it zero stars if I could! The burgers are dry. The burger is cooked in an unsanitary environment. When I asked the staff if they could wash their hands and use gloves to handle my food they were offended I said such a thing. The crowd wasn't bad though and the drinks are poured well. The owner can be quite the douche which really makes it unbearable to even want to spend another dime there.

The owner or manager was sitting at the bar by the door. Place was over half full and one person was waitress, bartender, cook, and busserr. I give her five stars and the owner/manager a big ZERO! Food was hot and drinks were good; but you felt bad for the one person actually working! No time to tend to the restrooms. I kinda want someone to make the owner/manager clean it I don't want to complain because she will make the one person actually working do it.

Great beer selections and low prices ($2.50 for a 25oz. beer on some nights). You can get drunk at a reasonable price in this place, but watch out since it's a popular target for police late at night. The food is even good, despite it looking like a place that would have crappy bar food. Their sliders are delicious. Service and parking are always good, but it can become very crowded and noisy since it's a smaller building.

I do believe you guys have redeemed yourself with me and my family!! I did give my first review of you because I had tried 3 times to get "the best bar burger in Monroe" and was let down 3 times in a row.... welp.... You apparently had someone on the grill that knew what they were doing because our burgers were cooked to order and they were THE BEST!! THANK YOU!! I know everyone has a bad day ( or bad cooks ) on occasion but I really wanted to give credit where credit was due!! I can honestly say now you most certainly have the BEST BAR BURGER IN MONROE!! :-)

Food is pretty good. They have good burgers and mozzarella sticks. I've been here about 20 times and you never know what kind of a crowd will be in there. However, I've never witnessed any problems there. Most people go for the drinks and they are reasonably priced. Always great servers and bartenders. I would definitely recommend this place.

Burger is ok nothing to right home about besides that everything is deep fried. The owner or manager is usually drunk and starting a fight every weekend. The waitresses are usually good but they have to work the bar are wait tables n sometimes even cook. Very unorganized totall dive bar hole in the wall full of half young kids getting tanked and half older trashy people. The bar gives you an overall feeling that you may have to fight someone at any second or have to worry you may be puked on by a man who just peed himself. The bathrooms also look like they were last cleaned when Clinton was president. Overall I think of the place as a white trash drunk slop hole.
