Passing through town, found on Yelp and as far as I could tell the only good thing to eat around. I was with my Grandmother (who doesn't do spicy and therefore doesn't do anything Asian). She found something she liked, my 5yr old daughter found something she liked and of course I found something fabulous! If you're around it is a must eatery! I'll be back next time I'm in town!

Probably the best Asian food I've ever experienced. There's a good variety to choose from and everything I've tasted has been outstanding. The portions are large and fill you up quite nicely. The price is higher than your average Chinese place but the food is far superior to those cheaper joints. The biggest downside to this place is the wait. It's always busy and they don't take reservations.

Simply the best Asian food in Southwest Michigan. We are regulars here and have always had excellent food. Kung Pao Chicken, Mongolian Beef and Pad Tai are our favorites. Chef John is the best and a very gracious host. Food is so fresh and daily specialties creative and tasty. Lunch is a great price, around $6.95 with two sides. Closed Mondays. Crazy busy during lunch, go at 11:00 or 1:00, dinner fo by 5:30.

I haven't been to this resturant in over a year and i'm going through withdrawl. I am usually really weary of fusion resturants (expecially asian foods), but John (executive chef) and his family run resturant is amazing at combining korean, chinese, and south-east asian cusine. I have tried about every dish served on the main menu and I would gladly eat any one of then again. The desserts are also amazing so leaev room. I can't believe this gem of a resturant is in the middle of "no-where" Michigan and doing so well, but the food speaks for itself and attracts crowds from all over the country.

I discovered chinn chinn because of yelps great reviews; I had to go try it for myself, and I am glad I did! The first time I ate here, I ordered the kung pao chicken, it was fantastic! It was the perfect combination of sweet and tangy, a beautiful burst of flavors! I also got the cool garlic sesame noodles, they were by far the tastiest noodles I have ever ate! I have been several times and have never been dissapointed!

Hands down some of the best Asian food I've ever had. Blows other typical chinese take-outs away. The place is always packed and even take-outs are sometimes lengthy but well worth it. I've noticed going for luch is the better value food -money wise, but either way, this is a must have if your in the mood for real good and fresh chinese! They have many items familiar to the novice as well as some really cool new asian dishes like seared tuna and homemeade potstickers! I like the new age motto's on the work shirts as well as the free chips and dip they give at the tables! Chinn - Chinn is a homerun!

We eat here as we are passing though the area. Very good food! The facilities are nice and the staff great. Recommend!

This restaurant is AMAZING! There is something for everyone--even my picky-eater kids love the Mandarin Chicken. I love their Pad Thai and the Little Hibachi is wonderful. The only downside is that it is a pretty small place (even after the expansion) and so popular that there is usually a long wait to get seated (get there a little before the lunch or dinner hour) and even a 2-hour wait for take-out is not uncommon. Believe me, though, the wait is worth it--just plan ahead.

Okay, I'm sorry to say I have to give Chinn Chinn just two stars after my visit last night. I had been there before and had a nice experience...longish wait time but excellent food. However, last night we had a terrible experience involving the hostess (who we were told was the owners' daughter). We arrived a little over an hour before closing with a party of six. I know this is a rather large group for Chinn Chinn's small dining room, and we were prepared to wait. After 40-45 minutes (about 15-20 minutes before closing) we were ready to be seated. It was then that our hostess told (not asked) us that we had to get our order in as soon as we were seated because the kitchen was about to close. We stated we would appreciate not being rushed given our patient waiting. Her response was something like "6 people are hard to seat." As I she was saying this, I wondered to myself how she had no problem telling us to hurry but not the party of 8 who sat there before us for 20 minutes after their bill...but I digress. The waitstaff did nothing to help us "hurry up" the process. Our water glasses took forever to get filled and the sodas took forever to arrive. The hostess' attitude was the biggest turn off, but a decent waitress and tasty food made this visit tolerable. My guess is the hostess saw the size of our party and assumed we'd be chatty like the big table before us. Please, Chinn Chinn, show a little more courtesy to your patrons. I love the food but this experience has left me doubting whether or not I'll return...it's just not worth being treated so poorly.

Cute small family restaurant off the highway. Very good Asian food with a mix of authenticity/modern flavor. Personal favorite are the spring rolls and Kung Pao Shrimp (very good sauce). Minus one star for fair quality rice and hard water. I feel it takes away from a great dish. They can change this easily.

This is one of the places I miss the most after moving out of Michigan, if I ever go back this is one of the places I would love to visit again. The food is just great and service is excellent. It gets packed on the weekends but I didn't mind waiting.

How can you not love Chin Chin? The food is very good and they are very concerned that their quality stay high - thus the lines for take out and eat in. We came on a Sunday for lunch and learned that there is a free garlic noodle appetizer as a customer appreciation on Sunday's - a very nice surprise! We couldn't agree on what to get so we decided to get the pu pu platter to start with and then split the Mongolian Chicken. Everything on the pu pu was amazing and we really couldn't decide what was our favorite (consistent with the prior times we've had it) and the main course was delicious. Having arrived at an odd time we were seated immediately and our server was prompt, attentive and very helpful. Obviously we'll be returning and haut know it's well worth the wait. Just remember while you're waiting you can always ask the to text you while your waiting and have a cocktail at Main Street right next door.

Chinn Chinn is one of my top 10 restaurants. I consider myself a foodie and I have traveled the world but always look forward to Chinn Chinn. The lunch is fantasic and really reasonably priced. There is a choice of entree with sides for $10. I always have food to take home. I have been adventurous with the menu and loved every dish I ate. The only downside to this restaurant is the wait. Be patient.....it is worth it!

Got take out while visiting the area. Was very good - fresh ingredients which I really appreciate. thought it was more 4.5 stars, mostly because it's pretty $$$ for the area, however I would still go again!

  • Kelsey K.

Chinn Chinn is good, don't get me wrong, but I can't possibly understand why I have to order 3 hours in advance to get food. I love the spicy prawn... it's awesome! My husband loves the broccoli beef and cashew chicken. I'm a big fan, but it would be nice to be able to get food there on a whim.

Just arrived in Michigan from California and I was in the mood for some Asian bistro. We found a place on yelp close and had good ratings and thought we would give it a shot. So happy I made the drive and choice to come here. Everyone was so kind and welcoming. Elizabeth was our server and she informed us she was in training. Had she not told me I would have never known. The company made a great choice by hiring this bright and energized young lady. Our experience was extremely pleasant without even getting food due to Elizabeth's great personality. Long story short....food was amazing and I hope to be back again. Can't say enough good things about the place.

I've had some of the worlds best Asian foods. From street alleys to 5 star restaurants... Who knew the best Asian food was hiding in Mattawan Michigan... Wow.

One of my favorite restaurants anywhere! I go here every time I travel to Michigan, usually with friends from South Haven. Last time, we had the chicken lollipops (excellent!) and dumpling appetizers, then tempura veggies, fried rice, kimchi and the Korean beef and Korean pork main courses. I've never had a bad meal here. When I come back I'm always torn between ordering the things I have eaten and enjoyed before, or trying another winner on the menu. If you are anywhere near this place, stop in. There's usually a wait but it's well worth it!

Must have Chinese experience! Probably the best restaurant in Kalamazoo area for sure. I love the way their take-out system works. You have to call early and pick a take our time they have available. For example, I'll call around noon and ask what pick up times are available. It'll them 8pm, and all I do is show up at that time and my food will be freshly cooked and ready to go!!!!!!!! Amazing!! My favs are the chicken curry and beef and green onion.

Outstanding food. Great service. A little pricey as far as Chinese food goes, but this is not just any Chinese food. We started with chicken lettuce wraps which were super tasty. They're nice and spicy and full of flavor. My gf had the Pad Thai which she raved about and I fully enjoyed the Kung Pao Beef. Large portions were plenty of food for anyone hungry.

This was our first experience at Chinn Chinn. We got here at about 4:30pm, we were seated by 5:30pm and we ordered by 5:45pm... Our dinner came at 7:30pm! The waiter was real nice and kept apologizing and apart from the free fried chips they give we also got a little portion of something called cool garlic noodles. By the time the food came my stomach had eaten half of itself.... The food was yummy. We ordered vegetable pad Thai, vegetable chow mein, kung pao shrimp and Mongolian shrimp. They were all tasty and good portions. We like our food spicy but because of the kids we ordered the sambal sauce on the side. I would have given the restaurant 5 stars but the wait was horrible! Especially with 3 kids...

I LOVE this place. My friend Morgan brought me here last year and I've been hooked ever since. When I'm driving home to Detroit from Chicago or some other western city I always stop. It can get super busy, but they check in with you regularly to let you know when you'll be seated. Went tonight and our server, Madison, was great. Love everything I've ate there as well.

All around excellent: great customer service, decent price, and great quality of food. M'lady and I were visiting the area, and we decided to do Thai take-out. We ordered pad thai & the kung pao w/ tofu. The size of the meals for the amount of money paid was unbelievable. The staff also tried making conversation, and made me feel quite welcome. Would definitely return to this location when in the area again.

Can't say enough good things about this place. It is expensive (you get what you pay for though) and you will wait if you go on a busy night. That being said, it's always worth it. The food is always cooked perfectly and the service is always top notch. You won't be disappointed.

Got there just before 5pm on a Friday night and had NO waiting. I was a bit skeptical about all these positive reviews in the middle of nowhere MIchigan, but I agree with them all! This place is delicious and right up with the best Chinese fusion food I have ever had. We had the "pupu" platter ($11) so we could taste all their go-to appetizers. Out of all we really like the potstickers steamed with chicken. The satay and Rangoon were a close second. For entrees we had Mongolian beef ($14) and king pao chicken ($13). Very generous portion size, could've easily shared. They use local blueberries and vegetables in their entrees which is fantastic. Big proponent of buying local. Draft beer selection is limited to Sapporo (why Japanese beer?), a local IPA and Oberon. Caution these are $8 each. Our waiter was sufficient, not great. Had to ask multiple times for a straw and well as ask for more water. He was good though. Knew the menu well and rattled off the specials even into details about location of fish and illustrating tastes of certain sauces to give a visual. Overall will be a must do anytime we are in the area.

Ahhhh, such a great place! Wish it existed near where I live. Was passing through Michigan and while stopped I noticed there was a nearby Asian restaurant. What a delightful surprise! All of the food they make is with real ingredients. The chicken? Yup, that was definitely a chicken breast that was cut up. All fresh veggies. All so good. Nothing processed. I ordered the orange peel chicken (not battered) with sides of...I think they called it 'confetti rice.' Pretty much, rice with some goods in it. So tasty that I was sad when I finished it all. Food was awesome. Staff was super awesome/nice/helpful. Restaurant was very nice inside. Prices were plenty fair. This place is more of a sit in to eat place, but they let you order to go--provided they aren't too busy (they almost weren't able to serve me--the place was MEGA busy (lunch time) and a cook said it'll depend on what I order, hence why I ordered something simple). Also, I think this place does deliver, too. They have separate menus for eat in & take out. While inside, I noticed some nice/decorative layouts & displays of some dishes on tables that the sit ins hadn't started eating yet. All in all, an awesome place. A must stop at if you're in the area. Just bought food & stumbled upon this place? Throw it away and go here.

We eat here once a month like clock work. If there is a wait it is worth it, if there isn't, then all the better! This is by far the best food Chinese or other in the area. I recommend this place over all others including the kalamazoo area!

This was my first time coming to Chinn Chinn. A colleague of mine and I had lunch here based on his recommendation. He told me it is some of the best food he has had. I would have to agree, it was fantastic!

  • Tom H.

This is the only Asian type restaurant in the area that I will give five stars. If you're passing through town and want memorable eating experience then this is the place to go. Yes, it can take a while to get a table but what you get in the balance justifies the wait. As other reviews will mention, carry out orders can require several hours of planning. I travel extensively to the Far East so I tend to be a little critical in my reviews especially with Eastern cuisines. These folks simply nail it. I could give a number of recommendations though I'm pretty sure you can throw a dart at the menu and come up with something you'll like. On the turf side I'm a big fan of the Mongolian Beef which has an Asian BBQ sauce. I can consume this in mass quantity. The Kung Pao Chicken also ranks amongst my favorites. It has whatever Aunt Amy's secret sauce contains which is likey more tightly guarded than a nuclear arsenal. On surf side I really like the Calamari Szechwan. Most places just batter and fry calamari but it's taken a bit more seriously here. The recipe has ginger, garlic, soy, peppers, chilis plus more and somehow balances the flavor perfectly. I know it's just an Asian pastry but I have to give an honorable mention to the rangoons purely because of their addictiveness. If I get these first I can easily ruin my appetite by having too many. On the catered side of the business I've noticed no degradation in product quality. Five stars and worthy of it!

Awesome dinner. Who'd guess this little place in Mattawan would be so awesome? Got spring rolls for an appetizer, and even my boyfriend who isn't big on cabbage liked them. The Kung pao shrimp was really great. Good spice and nice flavor profile. Service was great, especially that they were willing to accommodate subbing rice for veggies as I don't eat rice. Service was impeccable, food was great, totally worth checking out!

  • Gabe S.

This is, hands down, the BEST Asian restaurant in southwest Michigan, if not the entire state! Everything I have had on the menu has been amazing. The chicken satay and rangoons are my favorite appetizers. The Kung Pao Chicken and Mongolian Beef are must-haves. They always have specials that are out-of-this-world as well. I would live at this place if I could. Best food around! On a side note, if you want take-out, make sure you call well in advance as they take reservations for take-out.

  • Gary A.

I have to say I wasn't sure this place could live up to all the hype I had been hearing, but to my surprise it was better than what I could have imagined. First let's start with the service we received was second to no one. We had 7 in our party and it only took minutes to prepaid a table for us. Then out of the blue the waitress brings over a little sampler from the kitchen, amazing. I truly felt the entire staff had one goal and that was to make our visit memorable. Well they did, the food was prepared perfectly, the portions are very generous and the desserts where unbelievable. I normally don't leave such a long review but this experience was much appreciated.

Really nice Asian Fusion leaning to Japanese. Usually a wait on fri and Sat beginning at 3:30. Loved the Chicken Salad and stir fry vegetable curry customized for us. Monkfish fresh was on the menu and it was cooked to perfection in red curry sauce. Yum.

  • Matt H.

Have you ever had Asian fusion like this, especially in mattawan michigan...nope! When they opened several years ago it seemed that the fad might wear out but it simply hang so far. For lunch you can typically get right in and maybe you will wait for just a few minutes. The seating area is a little small but seemingly adequate for this little town; but don't let that fool you... The place is jamming all day in the kitchen! Every morsel on the menu is fantastic and you're sure to walk out saying that you will be back! For dinner; plan to wait awhile while smelling all the tasty aromas. Beer by the bottle is a bit over the top as far as price goes at $8 or so...and nothing special...but this is not their claim to fame. Don't get me started on why it takes literally houuuuuurrrrs to get a to-go order but it's always been this way and although itnis worth the wait, don't plan on ordering at 1130 and picking it up within the hour... It's more like a 2 hour wait. At 2pm, the wait for pick up might easily be 6 or 7pm. Plan ahead and you won't be disappointed but if you don't; you may likely be out of luck.

  • Andy E.

I can't believe that this place is in a strip mall in rural Michigan. Outstanding Asian food that departs from the standard Kung Pao or Sweet & Sour. I had a halibut filet with a Thai / Indian curry sauce and pea pod sprouts with garlic that was off-the-charts good. If they put this place in NYC, you would have to get a reservation a week in advance to get a table.

    (5)
  • Swed S.

Some of the best Asian fusion cuisine around. Plenty of great vegetarian options. Be prepared to wait a ridiculous amount of time during peak hours though. I think it's part of their appeal. The longer you keep a dog waiting, the hungrier he will get. They also started to nickel and dime you on items that used to be free (extra rice or crunchy chips). Tip: Ask for some hot Jasmine tea.

  • RaShaun B.

Waited an hour and 10 minutes. Got sat and ordered and instantly began fighting with my wife. She got upset, we boxed everything Togo and left. Finally got over ourselves 3 hours later, heated the food in the microwave and it was still the best Asian Cuisine I have had. Chinn Chinn is the best around.

  • Emilio F.

Wow, what a place. A friend of mine tipped me about this place and so far I've already been there 2 times with my wife. Of the 4 dishes we tried there they were all spetacular. Of them all, I still say the Blazing Jam Boong deserves a special mention on how unique it is. I have not seen it in other places. They do have a nice apetizer and it's nice that you can eat with hot tea, which pairs well with th food. Be mindfull though that this place gets crowded and it might take a while to find a seat and to get the food, but so far both the times I was able to seat in around 20minutes or so.

The best and very flavorful! We will be back because it is worth the drive. Had the Peking Beef and a good size portion and still had left overs to take away.

My husband and I stopped here for a late lunch on a Saturday just after they'd opened for the day. At 3pm, we couldn't believe there was a line, but we took it as a good sign. Lines usually mean we can expect good food. It was not to be. We ordered the Blazing Jam Boong and Pad Thai with Shrimp. Shrimp Pad Thai: The noodles, vegetables, and shrimp were perfectly cooked, but there was an odd flavor evident right away. It wasn't a bad flavor, but it simply was not right. Eventually, we realized that there were was a copious amount of holy basil in the dish. Basil does not belong in pad thai. The dish, while tasty, was not pad thai. Blazing Jam Boong: This was extremely disappointing before we even tasted it. My husband is a Korean, and when he looked at it, he knew something was wrong. The color of the sauce/broth was a strange brownish red, when it should've been blazing red. One taste told us the broth was soy sauce-based, and the taste was completely off. If they had called this something else, we might've liked it, but it certainly was not what we thought we had ordered.

Who knew such an incredible gem could be found in the small town of Mattawan? As a big fan of Chinese food, I have ventured to many different restaurants in search of the perfect combination of flavors. Chinn Chinn easily takes the cake as the best Chinese food in town. Not only is the food incredibly fresh, the quality of the meat is pristine. Upon my last visit to Chinn Chinn, I had the Mongolian beef. The perfect level of spiciness paired with a delectable sauce gives your tastebuds an explosion in every bite. While the wait can be a bit long, this is a large indicator of the quality of the food and service one can receive at Chinn Chinn. Needing your Chinese food fix? CHOOSE CHINN CHINN!

Can not say enough about the quality of the food here. It tastes like something you would get in a big city. You may have to wait to be seated, but it is so worth it!

This has to be one of the most unlikely places to uncover a brilliant Asian fusion experience...a small strip mall storefront in a small town in western Michigan! My first time in the door at Chinn Chinn was memorable...very memorable! We spent the obligatory 35 minutes waiting for a table at 6:00 pm on a Thursday night in early August. While waiting in line, we enjoyed chatting with a few gregarious foodies about the offerings at the house of Chinn. Their enthusiasm for this place was downright contagious! Once seated, we were courteously greeted by an attentive waitress who recounted the specials. We opened with the multi-tiered pu-pu appetizer containing a delectable selection of no less than 6 or 7 different type of bite size goodies and several tasty sauces. Our group sampled three different entrees including going "off menu" for one of the daily "specials" called Ja Ja Mein. The Kung Pao came through big time on the recommendation of our waitress with flavorful goodness, plenty of wok-flashed veggies and nuts and just the right touch of inviting Asian spices. What a combo! Chinn Chinn is a diamond in the rough. The reviews on Yelp tell the story loud and clear. This is a "best-in-class" culinary experience. A great find!

Love, love. Worth the wait. I had the lunch speciality, which was butternut squash soup with curry, and pork meatball sandwich. When you go, don't skip dessert, take some leftovers home, and enjoy anything. Wow good blueberry pound cake with lemon cheesecake filling

  • Karla K.

I love this place. Fresh, local Asian fusion with abundant flavor. Almost always a line but don't worry you will be glad you waited. I love everything but some first timers should try the chicken lollipops, poo poo plater, and Mongolian flatbread with pork. The crispy tofu is great. I always get the asparagus when they have it. It is yummy! Must try the desserts. So good. Leave full and happy every time!

  • Ken H.

This is the best, freshest tasting Chinese food I've ever had. No question. The positives about this restaurant far outweigh the negatives. If you want food here, you need to plan ahead! Order your carryout hours before you want to pick it up. When you call, they will give you a pickup time that is often several hours later in the day. The restaurant is small and has had a wait every time I have tried to eat there. With those negatives out of the way, let's get to the food! Everything I've tried here is delicious, but I most often order Kung Pao Chicken or Pad Thai. I've experimented with some of the tofu dishes and the the tofu is prepared very well. The spice level of most dishes can be adjusted to your taste on a scale of 1-10. I love that you can see right into the kitchen here. You will see piles of fresh produce waiting to be chopped up and added to your food.

My only complaint about this place is that it is not closer to our home. Great food and exceptional service. Worth the stop for a great meal.

  • K B.

The food is absolutely FABULOUS! There is usually a wait though, sometimes hours. When ordering food, you are given a time slot, sometimes best to order "pick-up" the day before. Service is usually good.

Hands down, the BEST Asian food I've ever had. Everyone has their faithful place for Chinese takeout, and if I didn't live an hour away from Mattawan, Michigan, Chinn Chinn would be my go-to for takeout. Our server Steve, was fantastic, and on point with service and menu suggestions. Even our picky kids loved the appetizers, fried rice and their dessert. We will be making he hour drive back again soon!

  • Lindsay D.

We love Chinn Chinn. Unfortunately, we usually think about it/crave it on a Friday night...at 7:00pm...when there's at least an hour wait. But as long as I can wait to eat that long, it's worth the wait. Love everything we've ever had: wonton soup, steamed dumplings, rangoons, mongolian flatbread (that's a favorite), mu shu, pad thai, mongolian beef, bibimbap (a special one night), etc. So flavorful, so delicious, and usually enough for another two meals as leftovers. I don't know about "authentic," but I do know "delicious."

Outstanding again. Did not care for the Blazing Dan Jamboog (or similar). It was too soup like for me.

  • Sam S.

Very cute place, staff was friendly, but food didn't taste authentic. I had one of the noodle dishes and there was no flavor to it. I'd go back if I were passing by but not to just go there.

  • Roy H.

I have to say our favorite Asian restaurant, absolutely awesome! Hard to get a table and even harder to get a carry out reservation...yes reservation. When they open, you call and they give you a carry out time, when they are gone for the day, you're out of luck. It's that good. It's in a very small town in Michigan right off I-94. They're take on chips and salsa is fried wontons and a sweet chili sauce, which is free when you're seated. Best fried rice....ever! Apps are great and the entrees are amazing! I highly encourage everyone give it a try, you'll love it! Even if your driving thru the area, it's really 90 seconds off the highway.

Really, really impressed with this place! I dined here at the recommendation of a friend, and after looking it up on Yelp, I was sold on all the positive reviews. Definitely delicious food and remarkable service. Everyone I encountered was super nice. We got there around 5:30pm for dinner, which was smart since it easily filled up by 6pm and pretty soon the waiting area was filled with people. I understand why. We shared the lettuce wraps and crab rangoons for appetizers. Both were delicious. I ordered chicken pad thai for dinner and was impressed with the portion. It's presented in an overly large bowl, which makes it look deceivingly small... I ended up saving most of it for lunch the next day. The pad thai was yummy and not too greasy or saucy. Finally, we shared some gelato/sorbet samples for dessert. I think it's kind of funny that some things here are very NOT Asian (some of the specials involved complex seafood or steak dishes that sounded more gourmet American or Italian), but it's all good.... I suppose kudos to them for trying to create a broader menu. Overall, a very fun place to go. Appropriate for all ages and diners with a very bright and clean interior. Only caveat: they have a new rule for ordering dinners to-go. They will ONLY cater to such a request if the cooks feel they have enough time. Very subjective and inconsistent, but understandable. So just be warned if you plan on bringing something home to a sick loved one!

Great food, friendly service. Sometimes they get busy, but that doesn't matter. If the line is over 10 families, just get it to go! They include the crunchies to go, too. Kung Pow Beef is the best beef ever, perfectly tender and delicious.

The staff has absolutely no sense of urgency or customer service. When there's a 2-hour wait for a table, they don't clear tables, take forever to bring the bill... They seem to not care about service for those waiting, or to make money for themselves. And absolutely abysmal customer service experience.

Awesome lunch menu concept: 1. Choose a protein 2. Choose a sauce (more on that below) 3. Chose any two "side woks" (sides) There are about 10 "sauces" to choose from. Really, each are a combination of vegetables and unique sauces. Examples of some of the sauces are Ginger Broccoli, Coconut Red Curry, Blackbean Marsala, Orange Peel, Honey Mustard, and Peking. A wonderful problem - they all sounded so good it made choosing one very difficult. I settled on the Spicy Korean, and my girlfriend chose the Ginger Broccoli. The Ginger Broccoli was delicious, as was the Spicy Korean. The Ginger Broccoli had steamed broccoli (duh), carrot slices, ginger, sweet soy, garlic and toasted sesame oil - yummy! The Spicy Korean was a hot red Korean chili sauce, garlic, mushrooms, onions, peapods, and toasted black and tan sesame seeds. We both chose tofu for our protein, and it was done perfectly. For our sides we chose the egg drop soup, wonton soup, and udon noodles. The egg drop soup is very tastefully done, with mushrooms. The Wonton soup comes with mushrooms and vegetables. Go with the egg drop. The udon noodles were great. Tried to go authentic and eat them with the chopsticks. I think it would have taken me 8 hours to get them all so I switched to a fork - much easier. My girlfriend had no such dreams of grandeur, and went with the fork from the start. Service was great - seems like everybody that works at Chinn Chinn is happy to be there. Makes for a great atmosphere! They bring some sort of fried wonton chips and an amazing pineapple chile sauce to the table to start you off - flat out addictive! Do yourself a favor - head over to Chinn Chinn and grab a meal.

The food and experience are fantastic, once you actually get a seat. The wait is horrifically long and there's not enough capacity to serve the throngs that want to eat here. This location needs to implement a reservation system or something to manage crowd flow and expectations of its guests... Tip: have someone arrive really early and put a phone number in and then you'll get a call an hour or two later when a table is ready.

I'm only giving Chinn Chinn 5 stars because it DESERVES 5 stars! This little gem in Mattawan is always busy, there's always a wait to get a table, and I don't even mind.. because it's just THAT GOOD. I usually order "My Little Hibachi" with chicken, but all their dishes are phenomenal. Besides the deliciousness of their fare, Chinn Chinn goes above and beyond when it comes to customer service. They really care about their patrons, and it's easy to tell that the staff loves their job.

Yes, it is hard to believe that this restaurant exists in southwest Michigan. Their food is good. I had the lettuce wraps for an appetizer and the Chili Prawns. The lettuce wraps were fantastic and the Prawns were good. The chili sauce was a Korean gochu jang sauce that only had the flavor of the gochu jang. My sister had My Little Hibachi which was not as good as the lettuce wraps either. The wait for a table here is legendary. We arrived at 8 pm on a Wednesday night and had to wait 20 minutes for a table. Which isn't too bad, but it was 8 pm mid-week. If the wait here is so long, why can't Southwestern Michigan support more good quality ethnic restaurants?

For Asian food, or any other kind for that matter, one of the best anywhere. Great selection, generous portions and everything is delicious. The service is provided with enthusiasm and fun and is the best. The only problem is trying to get in. Be prepared for 45 minute waits but it's but it is well worth it. A review on Yelp indicated anger because someone appeared to just arrive and was seated immediately. This would annoy me as well but at Chinn Chinn, you can give them your cell number at arrival and then go out to your car, have a drink nearby, take a nap, and they will call you when your place in line is reached! When I'm called and walk in, many of those waiting look at me strangely but that service is available to all (just ask). A great place to eat with wonderful and enthusiastic staff! Although they have typical Asian food, their menu goes way beyond and is well worth exploring. Their "Specials" are really more then that and must be tried. I have never been disappointed here! I love this place!

Well I couldn't have been more impressed with this gem on exit 66 in Mattawan. I grew up in Kalamazoo and now live in Chicago. I come back to my hometown maybe twice a year and we always hit Food Dance for good food, but then are left a little lacking with other restaurants. That was until now. I've had good asian food in Chicago, but nothing, and I repeat, nothing, like the experience and quality of cuisine like here. Both my wife and I agreed that this is by far the best restaurant in the Kalamazoo area, and is simply stunning. We started with hot & sour soup that was out of this world good. Super fresh, great taste, and good spice. I was told to order the specials so I got the "Loco Moco" which was a braised pork shoulder cooked over 18hrs. in a sous vide machine. Served over brown rice, and with a fried egg, it was stunning. My wife had the lemongrass prawns and it was equally amazing. Perfect balance of spice and flavor, and the prawns were cooked to perfection. Even the deserts were incredible! The waitress we had was fun and enjoyable. Very enthusiastic. She made the experience fun. We even said hi to John (the owner). He is a very nice and humble person. We wanted to let him know how incredible his food was! This is a must go.... even if you are not staying in Kalamazoo and passing through to somewhere else. Get off on exit 66 and eat at Chinn Chinn's. We are looking forward to going back again knowing that we can dine here again and again. Thanks for the exceptional experience. Even a few days later I'm still craving more food from there :)

Marvelous food and enthusiastic service. Chinn Chinn serves up a variety of Asian-inspired dishes, including Chinese, Japanese, and Korean standards as well as much more imaginative fusions among them. The before-dinner crunchies are terrific, as was the Pupu assortment we ordered. I had a special--a trio of fabulously flavorful and perfectly done beef medallions topped with mushrooms, asparagus and blue cheese, and shrimp, all three piled atop savory waffles. YES, waffles, and they were delicious. The restaurant has a good selection of beer and wine as well as desserts. Take-out seems to be popular, and the wait for a table can be a little while, but stick it out--there is no better Asian cuisine in the area. The staff are all exuberantly friendly and helpful, and seem to know (and enjoy) the food. Points off for little chairs and somewhat cramped quarters, and for the BIBLE VERSES on the wall. If I wanted fantasy fiction with my dinner I would have brought Tolkein--no proselytizing, please, business owners.

This is my favorite restaurant in the Kalamazoo area. Ignore the tacky new window coverings. Chinn Chinn is a wonderful restaurant despite them. They're staffed full of energetic young people, and the food is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. My favorites are the crab cakes and ginger garlic salmon. They also have a tremendous vegetarian selection (try the crispy tofu; you can also get it with veggies mixed in). You can get Sapporo on tap which I haven't seen anywhere else in Kalamazoo. Tip 1: The snapper, while delicious, is a full fish with a face. If that bothers you, avoid it. Tip 2: If you're going for lunch, go as close to noon as possible. They get crowded. Now a note: Dear Chinn Chinn, Why oh WHY did you put up those tacky window coverings? You're already crowded all the time--it's not like you needed to advertise. They really cheapen you from the outside, and they make the inside look somber. Please get rid of them. much love, Kara

perhaps all the hype from friends & family was a disservice for my first visit. service was good. food was good, but nothing I wanted to exclaim about. The owner (?) a classic elderly asian man brought our table complementary plates of noodles--which was nice and they tasted good. It is a small place and perhaps I'll go again with a friend or two, but it took our party of eight 1.25 hours to be seated on a Wednesday night and since they dont take reservations for anything but take out... I dont see this as a group friendly dining spot. I'll give them another shot but of the 5 dishes I tasted: chicken satay, shrimp pad thai, sesame noodle salad, curry chicken & mandarin chicken... I have nothing to rave about.

Update to previous review. The food has gotten better as quality has improved. Everything ordered by the 6 of us was OK. Good to see the improvement. Congrats! 9/16/13, or close to it. Update. Food was very good. Everything ordered by everyone was excellent! Will be going back often.

Everything at this restaurant is excellent, the service, the food, the price. Today we dined at Chinn Chinn for lunch. We were in and out within 50 minutes and were very satisfied. The prices are reasonable and the quality cannot be matched in this area.

Great Asian food. Only the best meat is used, extremely clean, and well staffed. If you are going to come on a busy night, such as Friday or Saturday, be prepared for a long wait, people come from all over to eat here, but if you have the time, it is worth the wait. Good lunch specials that are priced fair as well.

While Chinn Chinn's may not be the most authentic asian restaurant, the food is very good and fresh, which is more than you can say about just about every other asian resto in the greater kalamazoo area. One small gripe is the quality of the chopsticks. Would it kill the management to invest in any beyond the break apart ones they use for delivery orders?

UPDATE, 2014: WARNING. I Still love Chinn Chinns BUT I do have a bone to pick with them and I think other diners should also mention this to them so they will improve. Last time we ate there, six of us, with every entre the server asked us, "did we want white or fried rice?". One person chose fried rice and it came in a larger bowl on the side. When I questioned her later I was told this was a (I believe) $6 additional charge for fried rice instead of white rice. I told her that she should have warned us that there was an additional charge. She told me that the management has told them never to warn people about things that cost extra. AND when you get a bill, the prices are not on the handwritten bill, only what you ordered. Then when the bill comes it is not itemized so there is no way to tell you received an upcharge unless you memorized the cost of everything. I told the waitress I did not want to pay for the extra cost of the fried rice and the person in charge that night OK'd it "just this one time" but overall it was an unpleasant experience that put a negative cast on what was otherwise a great family gathering. So be warned! You'd better ask right up front if something will cost extra, the dishes are already $15 a person and not as big as they used to be, be careful what you choose from the choices the wait staff gives you and lets request that the wait staff mention anything that will cost extra. PS I think they said they are now even charging for the crunchy noodles with sweet sauce they bring out to every table when you sit down. Someone check and let me know and I will update this. ------------------------------- 2013: We are picky and this is our favorite restaurant anywhere, period. When we are in SW Michigan we always eat there when we can. Kung Pao Beef is my always go-to favorite. Even when it is not perfect it is still better than nearly every other chinese restaurant. The homemade sauces are fantastic, the flavors and spices, amazing, and considering what and how much you get the prices are very reasonable. It is an extra treat if you have to wait less than a half hour to eat. Worth an hour wait, as long as you know it is going to happen nearly every time. This place is a few blocks north from the i94 Mattawan exit. Note they are closed Saturday until 3pm and Mondays, so keep that in mind too. I don't see their hours on their website or on Yelp so here they are: Hours: o Monday Closed o Tuesday 11:00 am - 9:00 pm o Wednesday 11:00 am - 9:00 pm o Thursday 11:00 am - 9:00 pm o Friday 11:00 am - 10:00 pm o Saturday 3:00-10:00 pm o Sunday 12:00-8:00 pm Hugh Kallen, Web Design in Kalamazoo, KallenWeb.com

The wait was long, restaurant small, and they ran out of the lobster corn special -- not cool, poor planning. Apart from that, our meals were good in our party of five, service was attentive, once we finally got seated. Main suggestion would be for them to have photos of all the meals, so you know exactly what you are ordering -- expected bigger smoked salmon pieces in the surf and surf, but they were pretty small, and a bit saltier than necessary. Nice smokey taste, however. This place has potential to be even better, and I recommend this place, but DO make a reservation, as it has too few tables for the busy times.

Best Asian food in Kalamazoo area! Menu is asian-fusion. Food is always fantastic. Full beer, liquor menu but a limited wine menu. Eating in is much better since they expanded the restaurant but it is still quite busy. Beware- if you want take-out for dinner you will need to call it in by lunch!

We had the pleasure of spending our anniversary dinner with Chinn Chinns. They love to use local and in season fruits and vegetables in their creative and delicious dishes. The Rangoons are freshly made and don't have the crappy imitation crab that all other restaurants use. Their houseade Pineapple Chili sauce is a wonderful combination of sweet heat, it goes great with the free crunchy wontons they serve. Our server(darn if I can remember his name) has a vast knowledge of their menu and ingredients. He's been a server at Chinn Chinns for 6 years and it's clear he loves his job. Now on to the entrees. I had a mango chicken dish that had fresh local green beans, it was a bit bland however it was good, I think a few more spices would have made it even better... I added some of the pineapple chili sauce and it made it more enjoyable. My husbands Mongolian beef was wonderful and really packed a punch of heat. DESSERT!!! We had the Poundcake with berries and mascarpone cheese, YUMMY! Thanks Chinn Chinns for a really great dinner to end a really great day.

The food here is delicious, but this place is so poorly managed it is frustrating. We waited an hour and 25 minutes and left without ever being seated. Yes, it was a busy night, but this place could be a goldmine. Instead, you watch them leave money on the table. Numerous tables sit empty while the waiting area is packed, because the staff can't turn over the tables with any urgency. Meanwhile, the waiting area is too small and you can't get food at the bar. Stupid, stupid.

  • Fa M.

Excellent, Always heard you had to wait hours to get seated, but around 8:30 is a good time we only had to wait 20-30 minutes. So many options to choose from. Always heard about this place, but never had time to stop by. On the way back from Battle Creek, stopped and had awesome asian food. Had a fish dish, and some pad thai. Oh and the 6 layered chocolate cake was delicious. Service was great, the fake fire place, added to the atmosphere. Expect to have some wait time, better yet call ahead. The smaller the party the quicker to be seated.

Forget it! Waited almost an hour, when it was our turn to be seated some clown walked in and claimed to know the bartender. They were seated immediately. When inquired as to why he was moved to the top if the waiting list, I was told that we would be next. My family and I walked right out the door. Save money, make your way the local Chinese Buffett. At the very least its all you can eat at a fraction of the price!

Reasonably priced for how good this place is. I had heard a lot about it (and all the supervisors at my work get it at least once a week so I have smelled it often) and finally went there and was very pleased. I ordered the crispy tofu and it was delicious. The service was very friendly too. Wish they delivered but I would probably eat it way too much so maybe it's a good thing.

We are regular's at Chinn Chinn. We come for the food, swear off for a while due to the wait endured and spotty service ( we have had good and not so good) but then we come back. For example, no water glasses as they are in the dishwasher (at 6:30?). When we asked for a knife, a server said "We don't have many of those around". Odd... The food is good, vegetables and meats are fresh. Many nice starters and vegetarian options. Often, I do think the sauces are sweet, but can look to the menu for a less sweet option (just a personal thing about sauces, I guess). Food doesn't seem to be microwaved/ fast-- lots of care in food prep. No reservations taken ever and it is always busy. We went at 5:30 to avoid a wait and it was still 45 minutes, though they will never estimate a time for a table, only there are 8 tables ahead of you. Take out is, however, on a reserved or scheduled basis. You can' t just call and order take out and expect it in under 2 hours. Desserts are mostly made elsewhere-there were two options in house and we tried both which were very good. On past trips, I have tried other desserts which are from outside sources. (Sam's Club??) Not worth the $$ or calories! So, do I like CC? Sure, but it is a love/hate thing. Hopefully, they will keep the good food coming and fix the weird management and service things.

I don't have high standards for service unless it's the sort of place where that service is expected. And by the look of it, Chinn Chinn is a casual restaurant, so I went in just looking for good food. The hostess that night probably needs a bit of training in being a bit more polite. It made me think that as customers, we were not appreciated. That's just bad practice, but I excused it. My server was quite negligent, and I know we were just a 2-top, but my minimum requirement for service is having something to drink. My glass remained empty for the majority of my meal, and I was really *really* thirsty. The server didn't come around our table for us to ask her for water, but we did get one refill... when we were about to ask for the check. I could point out a bunch of other unpleasant things about the experience, but I'll hold off. Bottom line was the food was very unimpressive. It wasn't inedible by any means, but it definitely wasn't as delicious as I was hoping it'd be. A solid 5 out of 10 for me. So, reading these favorable reviews, I'm honestly somewhat dumbfounded. It's led me to decide to give Chinn Chinn a couple more chances until I write it off. Maybe it was an off-night for the kitchen or I didn't order their best dish? I don't know, but I'll change my post if I ever go back and find that I was wrong.

What a great little place. This is the best asian food in southwest Michigan. Service is fast and the food is hot. The kung pow beef had just the right spices. Only down side is you need to get there before 5:00 for dinner as the waiting line gets quit long and there isn't a lot of seating.

WHAT'S NEXT? BIGFOOT? There are many myths and legends out there. UFOs. Big Foot. The legend of the good Chinese restaurant in Mattawan. Given a choice of the three, until recently I would've said that finding the first two would be more likely than finding the third. After all, I can probably count the number of Asian people I've seen in Van Buren county on one hand (0.3% of the population). Yet there I was face to face with Chinn Chinn. Standing outside, you can see right into their immaculately clean open kitchen which has actual Asian people cooking. 'Could it be?', I pondered, rubbing my eyes. Shifting my attention to the dining area, I saw stylish decor and a large crowds of patrons enjoying their meals. I went in and tried the Szechuan eggplant which was spicy, delicious, and surprisingly free of grease like you find at many other places. Cooking eggplant well is such a rare feat I swear I got a little misty (or maybe it was the chilies). Despite a expansive list of authentic dishes and specials, my friend went with the kung pao chicken (hey, I tried), and it was terrific. Perhaps the best I've ever had. To top it all off, they have a large wait staff and the service was top notch. Friendly, polite, and attentive. So if you're ever in Mattawan or driving by on I-94, do yourself a favor and stop in for a great meal. You'll see that some legends are true after all.

Reliably good Chinese restaurant and takeout. A few notches above plain, old, greasy Chinese food, their dishes are tasty, spicy, and incorporate reasonably fresh ingredients. The chili and curry dishes deliver lots of flavor, not just heat. It's always good to find Asian food that tastes like something other than soy sauce, grease, and MSG. The lunch menu is a great value - select a meat, a recipe, and two sides and you're ready to go. The coconut red curry is a personal favorite. I can't vouch for the on-site experience - we ate there once and the service was fine. The takeout experience has always been efficient.

Being full-blooded Asian myself I am pretty friggin picky about my Asian cuisine. Chinn Chinn leans more on the fusion end but really hits the spot when I'm craving almost-like-home food. During my last visit I was very pleased to discover they had expanded into the space next door very gracefully and while maintaining their original ambience set off by what look like vintage family photos. For being in the middle of the Midwest the ingredients are very fresh. Everything I have had here has been very flavorful and made with love. About my favorite items: The rangoons are wonderfully light and a shared plate won't spoil your dinner. The mongolian beef is to-die-for rich and flavorful without being too overwhelming. I love the sauciness of the mapo tofu, which is prepared quite authentically. Not listed on the menu but offered during my last visit was a Korean bbq spare ribs dish. All I can say is YUM. Really, I haven't had anything I didn't like here at Chinn Chinn. My only warning is to be prepared to wait on key dining nights. I don't think they take reservations but you can call ahead and ask how the wait is. They have an excellent lunch which is an absolute bargain. Not that the dinner menu is overly pricey but it's sure nice to take home your money's worth of leftovers for tomorrow's lunch.

I feel sorry for those who had less than a five-star experience. We found this gem by internet search for chinese food ~near~ Kalamazoo. The reviews were fantastic. Could it be.... YES!. There was an hour wait, but magazines on the table passed the time much better than the doctor's waiting room and the prognosis was WAY more pleasant. I had the Mongolian Beef it was truly five-star. My son had Pad Thai, and loved it. We both ordered "super hot" but found the result to be medium for our taste. Maybe they didn't take us seriously. My wife had Fried Snapper (an off menu special) and "ate it to the last bone." What more can you say ? Chinn Chinn will be on our menu anytime we need to travel west on I-94. Lunch anyone ?

Oh man... what can I say about Chinn Chinn? I have eaten there 3-4 times a month for the past year and I crave it now more than ever. It is about 20 minutes away from Kalamazoo but well worth the effort to go. About once a month I find a new friend who has never been there and convince them to go have lunch with me. They inevitably become obsessed with the place. Friends that have since moved away from Michigan invariably bemoan the lack of Chinn Chinn-esque food in their own regions. I'm a vegetarian and have tried every veggie dish on the menu. My personal favorites are the homestyle beancurd and the curried tofu. Kung pao tofu is also very good. Really, you can't go wrong here. Everything on the menu is beautiful and delicious. Also props to our favorite server Ashley.

Very good Asian Fusion cuisine! My cousins, my wife, and I ordered carryout from Chinn Chinn on a Friday evening. Make sure you call in your order early (like Noon). My cousin called around 3 PM and the earliest pick-up was 8 PM. That alone should tell you how busy and delicious Chinn Chinn is! We all shared our dishes, so I was able to try 5 of them. First off, the Mongolian Flatbread was amazing. It is a must order appetizer! The Curry Chicken was good, but not great (really the main thing keeping the restaurant from 5 stars for this experience). The Kung Pao Shrimp and Kung Pao Chicken were both excellent. The last entree was a Korean noodle dish that is not on the menu. My cousin ordered it, and I loved it. It is one of those textures that you will either love or hate. If you do not like gummy bears or bubble tea, you may not like the Korean Noodles. Overall, a great experience. I would certainly order from Chinn Chinn again.

Best Chinese food I have ever tasted. This is our favorite restaurant in Kalamazoo! You need to go befor 5:30 though because there will be a line to be seated. We love the salt and pepper calamari! The mongolian beef is also amazing and so is the salmon.

My Favorite Restaurant! Food is always great, waiters are friendly and remember their frequent customers. My favorite dish is the Kung Pow Chicken and the crunchies with pineapple salsa they hand out as an appetizer is yum yum! Very busy though, especially during peak lunch & dinner times ~ that just tells you how good it is. If the wait is long, you can always go next door to Main St and have a few drinks, they'll call you when your table is ready.

My favorite Asian restaurant by far, John is one of the finest chefs in the area. Chinn Chinn features flavorful dishes that should NOT scare people just because they have a little red pepper next to them. Please do NOT order the typical bland fare (sweet & sour)...try something that has been my favorite since the old days at Peking Palace, Shredded Pork Szechwan. It's not on the menu & it's the most flavorful sauce of all! Add broccoli & black mushrooms for a more substantial meal, otherwise it just comes with finely shredded carrots & the little squiggly 'shrooms. It is FANTASTIC! Enjoy if you can get a table. We've been to Chinn Chinn's 5 times now and the food is in a league all it's own! It's Asian Fusion, but unlike others it doesn't sit on you like a rock. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and the chef is one of the best. You can't go wrong with the Pu Pu Platter to start things off. The mandarin dishes are out of this world good and the Kung Pow is WOW! (corny, I know, but accurate). It's all good! Don't expect to walk right in and get a seat, though, unless it's the middle of the day during the week. The food's great and everyone knows it! Plus, the dining area isn't the biggest (even though they expanded over a year ago). The chef has tried to train others but supposedly they just couldn't get it, so he's left alone...but it's totally worth the wait!

Asian fusion at it's best! This restaurant is an absolute jewel and well worth the drive... Everything- and I mean everything, we have ordered has been DELICIOUS. The hot and sour soup has a perfect balance of flavors, and is by FAR the best I've ever eaten. My husband loves the Mongolian Beef- the beef is unbelievably tender and the sauce is sweet/savory goodness. I order the same entree every time- Crispy Tofu. It is the stuff dreams are made of. The tofu is flash fried to crispy perfection and tossed in an incredible peanut curry sauce. Just thinking about this dish has my mouth watering! The down side to this restaurant (although not worth reducing it's rating) is that it is quite small and you should always expect to wait for a table at dinner time. Although, the wait heightens the anticipation for the amazing food! *** However, I have heard that they have expanded, and we have not been back since the renovations. The wait may not be an issue anymore!*** If you haven't already, please treat yourself to Chinn Chinn. You'll be glad you did!

Good Asian fusion, reasonably priced food, bit expensive drinks. Long wait always. ( even after the expansion!) Very unique restaurant around Kalamazoo as a Chinese - Korean. I like non-sweet dishes like Singapore noodle, Chow Mein etc. We are thankful to have this kind of restaurant, although most of their dishes are away too sweet for me. Hope they would refine a great Nankin style Chinese sweet and spicy balanced dishes. We tried their cartaling service, Seared Ahi Tuna, Pork Cha Siu Baau, Fried Wonton Chocolate, and Frank Steak. 5 stars!

Best Asian Fusion/Chinese food in the Kalamazoo-Portage larger area. Period. The ingredients are fresh and the cooking is superior and imaginative. This is a small place so get ready for a long long wait since they do not take reservations! The restaurant is small with very simple decor, nothing fancy.

Chinn Chinn is a hidden gem just off the highway in Mattawan. Food is always fantastic. Crunchies with house made dipping sauce for starters, appetizers including lettuce wraps cold noodles etc, wide variety of dinners including famous Kung Pao recipe, fried rice, the list goes on including unique daily specials. Popular yet small place so bring your patience during dinner hours elsewise get a late lunch and be seated immediately.

The best asian food near kalamzoo and portage. Ironically one of the best appetizers I the poo poo platter which is essentially a three tiered sampler of Asian yumminess.

Awesome. This little place is always packed and has a ton of Asian choices. Not just Chinese. The family that owns it is great. If you order take out call early in the day. They only do so many takeout orders a night.

I love this place, everyone loves this place so you will have to wait to get in, even for lunch take out. They have tremendous food with very flavorful sauces. The best way to describe this type of food is Asian fusion.

Wow! I'm surprised to see a Chinese restaurant of this quality in southwest Michigan. The food was great (rivaling that found in some of the best restaurants in Chinatown in Calgary, New York, and Toronto), the service was excellent (server was attentive, food came out quickly), and the cost was quite reasonable. If you're looking for an amazing Chinese restaurant around the Kalamazoo area, look no further...this place is definitely worth the drive. Be aware, that the restaurant is quite small and there was a wait already starting at 5pm, so arrive early and leave lots of time (it looks like they're expanding the seating area a bit though, so that may help with the wait for a table).

Edited 2011-February: Still very good even after the expansion. Wonderful! Yes, it's outstanding. high-quality, fresh, heaping portions, not dumbed-down at all. It's so popular, you have to get reservations for take-out meals. It puts all other chinese restaurants in the shade, even my beloved Hunan Gardens. Prices are reasonable.
