Meat, where have you gone?! When this place first opened it brought tears (not really) to my eyes in remembrance of my beloved first experiences at Zingerman's in Ann Arbor. Those great sandwiches on great bread.... mmmmmm I can still taste them. But after my last visit (last week) I was left heavy hearted with the disappointment of a meatloaf sandwich that contained a wafer of meat no larger than a White Castle slider! The pound of lettuce topping the wafer did not fool me into thinking this was a hefty sandwich! What have you done?! (FYI my last couple visits to Zingerman's left me in the same heartbroken state). Gone are the days of a good deli sandwich? Say it ain't so!

I came here because the locals tell me it's the best deli in town. Boy was the bar set low. For those from Cleveland, this is no Slyman's. Pastrami Joe's sandwiches are not much more than a snack. I find myself unsatisfied. The one thing the got going for them is that nobody else opened a decent deli in Marshall.

I came here recently from out of town and we call it "Gristle Joe's" because it is very expensive, my pastrami sandwich was all fat and it was really gross and we were overcharged for a meal twice. We won't be going back.

Great place for lunch in Marshall. One of the only options where you can avoid deep fried food.

Order the Jessie's Chicken Caesar Hot and you will be in absolute heaven. Not gonna lie, I love this place and it is totally worth the 1000 mile trip up there. It's not the cheapest place in town, but I've always had enough left over for a second meal, so it balances out anyway.

this is my favorite lunch spot in marshall michigan. they have excellent soups and sandwiches, and there seared tuna caesar salad is amazing! the only downside is it can be a little bit pricey. but in my opinion the quality of the food is well worth it. it is definitely a must stop when shopping in marshall michigan.

Like I said, Pastrami Joe's is by far THE BEST lunch destination in Battle Creek or Marshall.

The food is very good. The quality of the ingredients is top notch. Nice calm atmosphere, decor is welcoming and pleasant. I would have given it 4 stars (rarely do I give 5 stars for anything) but the prices are ridiculously high. My daughter and I had a corned beef sandwich on marble rye, a pickle and a bottled drink and a ham and cheese sandwich and a chocolate milk and it was $20. My sandwich alone was $9.50. Seems a little steep. If cost is no object then go for it! Like I said, it's tasty!!!

It's a bit on the expensive side and that may be due to the price of corned beef, but you can't help being a bit underwhelmed by the finished product. I'm used to a better corned beef sandwich near the MSU campus in Lansing.

What a find. Good prices and great food. Ordered a chicken panini, every bit of it was delicious. Service was great also. I would recommend this place to anyone.

This place was amazing! I heard they had new owners and I was alittle leary. I went in and it instantly reminded me of the pickle barrel over in Jackson (blah) I knew not to expect much. Long story short, I had the Italian with chips and a drink for like $10. It was honestly the best sandwich I've ever eaten. EVER! for that I give 5 stars fo sho!
