This place is better than it looks. Don't mind the dirt parking lot and the fact that it is literally built on the railroad tracks. Also don't mind the fact that people going in and out are wearing dirty overalls and camouflage hats or the burnt out bulbs in the sign. This is good family diner that is cheap as hell. Great when you have a group of hungover 20 somethings seeking some breakfast food. The food isn't worthy of 4 stars, but the people watching puts it over the edge. The food is good, just nothing special. With this lack of specialness though it is cheap. You can easily fill up on $5. My one of my friends (who happens to be an idiot, so you don't need to worry about his comments) claims he can get the same quality food at the store. Well no sh*t Sherlock, but you're too lazy to cook so you're at Pork Chop's Diner. This place, though small, always seems to have room for groups. I went this weekend with 10, and have gone with 15, and always seem to be accommodated quickly. Just be wary of the post church rush, if you can call anything that happens in a town as small as Marcellus a rush. Apparently there is an all you can eat fish fry on Fri nights for under $8, but I have never been. This is my breakfast place of choice when in SW Michigan. I really should give them 5 stars since I am pretty sure my dad stole a coffee mug from them at one point.
