Had a good experience here and the wait staff was attentive and nice. Started things off with the fried mushrooms with ranch. Looked like they were hand battered and the tasted good. Burned my mouth a bit so make sure you give them a minute to cool. Once you do you'll have a basket of crunchy on the outside battered goodness ready to please. The coneys I had were good, not great. I prefer a little more snap to my hot dog. Overall, a good taste to the chili and the cheese enhanced the flavor combo.

A veteran buddy of mine and I wanted to get together one last time before he left for home on Sunday morning. He stayed at the Concorde Inn on Gratiot Avenue, so I scanned my mind for somewhere that wouldn't be packed with church-goers. Knowing the long lines at the few restaurants that open early on Sunday, I thought we might give this a try. Our luck held out as we entered the sparsely populated restaurant. We each ordered off the morning specials menu, and our breakfast meals arrived in good time. Coffee was attended to on a regular basis and our table was cleared promptly upon completion of our meals. Mama Vicki's continues to be a favorite meal stop just north of Mount Clemens.

Our first time here today with my husband and 16 month old daughter. It was great! We ordered her the kids grilled cheese and she stuffed herself full with it. My husband and I both got the Mama Vicki's Coney Special, it's got the hot dog, ground beef and chili on top (with onions & mustard). Wow. It was super tasty, we added more mustard and eventually had to dig in with a fork. For 3$ it was a great lunch! We also shared an order of onion rings that were perfect! Each bite was clean and didn't pull out onion! I love that! We will be back and prolly order the same thing! Though the chicken gyro did sound good..... :)

This place must be hit or miss. I was at the sprint store and had to use their bathroom, she was nice and told me where it was and smiled and said goodbye on my way out. So the next day I was at sprint and stopped there for lunch. My 3yr old and I had a hotdog a chili dog fries and a Vermont. I prefer a thicker skin on my coney, but not sure my kid would so it was perfect. Staff was courteous, attentive and sweet. Upon leaving I was quietly asked if he could have a sucker. That's the best. If you have kids sometimes you don't want people giving them super, but since he was on good behavior he got one. We would go for coney again. Oh place was clean too.

Food was ok. It's a coney island style dinner, can't mess it up that bad. Chicken noodle soup sucked. No vegetables at all, no carrots, celery, or onion. But service was terrible. Waitress brought our food out. Didn't see her again til she set the bill on the table. No offer for a carryout box. Asked the cashier for a box. Her answer" I'll have to check if we have one." Then she stood there and looked at us like we were bothering her. If you don't like people, find a new job. Be warned.

The food is actually alright, save the chili. Had the biscuits & gravy and a chicken Greek salad. I did hurt a tooth on a pit chunk that was lurking in the olives. Fair enough, Greek olives usually do have pits. The unforgivable sin, though...bad service. The waitress was neglectful. I went a full 18 minutes waiting on a refill. I'm never loud, I don't complain, my orders rarely deviate from the menu & I always over tip....for good service. Had I had better service, I would recommend this place as a back up plan. The problem is...I had bad service. Go at your own risk.

Not sure how this place is still in business, other than a good location along M-59. We ordered breakfast, and no one enjoyed a thing here. Poor quality and preparation of food and the place was filthy. Perhaps this caters to the clientele of the nearby Walmart? Avoid this place at all costs.

Bring the kids here for a "home cooked" meal and this will be the last time ever visited. Ordered a simple gyro for myself and wings for the kids. Order comes up and the gyro were nothing more but jerky strips breaking into pieces and the wings were nothing but over battered bones. Luckily they were able to make a cheeseburger off the kids menu right. Any cook worth anything to any establishment would NEVER let such things out of the kitchen, unless they simply don't care.

Very slow, for a family of 5 it cost me $55.00. Food is not that good either.

This is the first and last time I'll go here. It's overpriced, the help is very slow and the food was not very good. The gyro meat was like rubber and the hot dogs are slivers of meat. I should've know better when the huge place was nearly empty on a Saturday night. On the bright side I know know what a restaurant would be like if you only use prepeared food from Gordon Food Service. I think the other reviewer should get out a little more if they think this is quality food. It's pretty puzzling.

This place has been my in-laws favorite place to go for a long time, however I was never big on the coney island thing. Today my father in law invited the wife and I to go there for lunch so we went. I ordered the hot greek sandwich and the wife ordered the hani deluxe, the food was outstanding!!! That greek sandwich had no business being that good, I was tempted for another sandwich. The wife was raving about hers as well! The fries were mediocre though but who cares when the rest of the food was that good. Portions were also good. I highly recommend this place.

Stopped in for breakfast before going to Menard's next door. Restaurant and Bathroom were very clean, menus were clean, not greasy, Cook's area was clean, neat, and organized. Waitress was very prompt and attentive and had a pleasant smile and demeanure. The waitress was our age or a little younger and she was what the Standard of Waitresses should be....Order was All Meat Skillet and a 2 egg breakfast Special. Only took minutes to serve, was served on a clean plate, amounts were more than acceptable. Coffee was fresh, but a little on the sour side and needed extra sugar, and was topped off promptly on several occasions. We stopped going out to Restaurants because we we NOT happy with their quality and taste, their uncleanly environment and their poor waitstaff. Honestly, besides the slight sourness in the coffee, this place was everything one would expect a diner to be......If their problem is inconsistency, and this type of experience is hit or miss, then the Management Staff should address it because this place could be one of the best Breakfast spots, at least, in the whole Metro Area.......We are in our 50s and cook on a very high level at home across much of the International spectrum and are very picky with what we eat...still, a simple quality breakfast is hard to find........First we went to Bob Evans, down the street, and at 9:00am no one was there...that's when we decided on this place...we will definitely return.......My money is on this place......
