Date night with the hubby. We went on a Friday night and sat in the sports bar area. Our waitress was soon over to take our drink orders and bring our menus. She had to go back and find her list of what was available on draft. I found it slightly odd that she couldn't even start to name anything without her list. You would think that the beers that you always have and the beer of the month might be something you would remember, but I let it go. We ordered a sampler appetizer and then our meals. Hubby and I both got combinations, mine steak and shrimp, his steak and ribs. I ordered my steak medium-rare and he ordered his medium. Mine came medium and his more medium-well to well done. The waitress never stopped to ask if the steaks were done correctly. We let that go too and enjoyed the rest of our meals. Our salads and broccoli were delicious. The shrimp was good and the ribs were very tender. Balancing everything out, I'm giving this trip 3 stars. It wasn't bad by any means, but there were definite things that could have been done to enhance the experience.

When they first opened they were delicious. We hadn't been in a while and went back tonight. Disappointing. Brown lettuce leaves, old potatoes and the steak was overdone and dry. Will not be returning :(

Food was terrible, overpriced, and took way too long to get to the table. When I asked about when we could expect our food, the waitress got very agitated with us. She rolled her eyes and walked away while I was still talking. Save your money and your time. Go elsewhere.

I went to this place with my family after a day of shopping. We usually never stray farther east on Hall Rd than Lakeside Mall. We will definitely NOT be going back to this place anytime soon. I gave two stars based on our friendly waitress. The steaks were TERRIBLE!!! All of ours were supposed to be cooked differently. In the end all of our steaks were well done, leathery, and tough. It really is super terrible. One would at least think if they are going to buy cheap meat that they would whack it a bunch with a tenderizer before butchering your meal. The other lack of stars has to do with the lackadaisical staff. After our shopping and before stopping there I had picked up a prescription from the HFH that was down on Hall Rd. Everything was stapled in the white prescription bag with the receipts stapled all over the bag ... you couldn't miss it. Somehow, while there, my purse flipped sideways and the bag fell out. I didn't realize it until I had gotten home. I called Brann's immediately and said that I know for a fact I lost the bag there, told them exactly where we were sitting, and if they could check the booth. Some hormonally pissy teenage girl said she would check. After a few moments she snottily replied back that there was no bag there and I was wrong. I asked to speak to a manager to let them know to keep an eye on it. I was finally able to talk to the manager and requested he check the booth as well because I had the feeling the girl didn't check. Put on hold again for another moment he came back and repeated what she did. After giving him my information and for TWO WEEKS called back daily seeing if it had been found and trying for TWO WEEKS w/my insurance trying to see if they'd let me rebuy the meds to be told no, I finally got sick of Brann's. I finally went down there in person to check the booth myself ... and I reiterate ... this was two weeks later. When I requested to talk to the manager it was a different manager then the one I'd always talked to. He said he had heard about the situation and that people have checked and said it wasn't there. I asked him if he had checked. He said he had not, but was willing to do so again. He was actually a pretty friendly guy. LOW AND BEHOLD! I crouched down with him, on my hands and knees, and spotted the bag instantly! My bag of prescription meds was underneath the booth seat the ENTIRE time when all they had to do was ACTUALLY look the first time. They were right there in the open. Because I was so angry w/the restaurant for not even LOOKING (really, you just had to crouch down and you would see this bright white bag) or they would have found it and angry that for two weeks I had to argue with insurance companies I had a minor flip out. I was really angry at other employees just flat out lying about looking. The manager understood and profusely apologized. You know he realized that no one actually looked or they would have found it. If you're looking for good food ... don't come here. If you're looking for friendly wait staff, you might get that. If you're looking for HONEST employees you are also coming to the wrong place. So far only 1 in 7 of them I had talked to the entire two weeks honestly looked and seemed to care. ***Note: Something I thought of while leaving that place. Anyone that would take a mop or broom to the floors underneath the booths would have knocked the bag out. It makes me wonder if they really even clean the floors there??? Gross.

Chose this place on a whim when driving by. Three old army buddies who hadn't seen one another in a coon of Sundays! Our waitress Jessica went above and beyond and was more than attentive, we had steaks which were cooked to perfection! Great atmosphere, highly recommended will be back again next time I am in the area!

On Sunday 2 Aug, my wife and I went to Branns to have a late dinner. We got there before 11 pm, which was a hour before closing. It was raining hard, when we got in, we were told the dining room was closed, and the bar was opened for drinks only. Number one if you are opened til midnight and you aren't change your times! Number 2 saying it was Sunday, refer to number 1. This happened to be our first anniversary. We both decided that we will never ever ever go back.

Service was very slow...and considering that the restaurant in general was not busy service should have been better. The most appalling thing was sitting in my seat (on the upper bar seating area) and I looked over to see a waitress go from the dining room into the kitchen and begin to make a salad. Mind you there was no hand washing being done prior to this...the waitress begins grabbing handfuls of lettuce and vegetables, with her bare dirty hands, and starts tossing the salad. She then proceeded to grab customer's bread with the same unwashed hands...then off to the table she went to deliver her customers the salad! I am all for waitstaff helping out by tossing salads but WASH YOUR FRICKING HANDS!!!! And wear gloves!!! I will not return to this establishment.

Happy Veteran's Day! I wanted the day off, but my work didn't finish till around noon. Since it is Veteran's Day, I was looking forward to a repeat of last year's lunchtime meal at another local eating establishment. I called ahead to confirm the eating arrangements (they had a Mess Table set up last year for all of us single-dining veterans). Unfortunately, this year they weren't repeating the arrangement. So today is Take-a-Vet-to-Lunch-Day. I invited a long-time friend of mine to lunch. He's a Viet Nam vet, served his country, and is still alive to talk about it. We visited Brann's. I confirmed that they were having a special celebration for veterans. We were seated promptly, with a smile. First off, our server, Megan P., did an outstanding job. I kinda kept track as she walked back & forth between the kitchen and the dining area. She was one busy gal! Alright, my buddy forgot his glasses, and guess who had to read the menu offerings to him? We got through all of that and when Megan came back for our orders, we pretty much knew what we would have. A couple iced teas, followed by fresh dinner rolls (and their yummy honey cinnamon butter), the complimentary 6 ounce steak dinners, with 2 sides and a dessert - we each ordered the exact same thing. Again, Megan P. did an outstanding job, as did the other servers. It was still around the noon meal and they were all busy. I can not adequately describe how attentive she was, while allowing us time to converse and thoroughly enjoy our meal. And enjoy our meal - we sure did. The steaks were done to perfection, baked sweet potatoes (again, with honey cinnamon butter) were most delicious, and our Caesar's salads had dressing all the way down to the bottom of the bowl. When Brann's says they support our veterans, they mean it! Thank you Brann's from the bottom of my heart - you make me proud to be a veteran!

Avocado nachos are very tasty and the Coney Island Root Beer is not as sweet as the It's Not Your Father's Root Beer. Enjoying the Tiger game.

I got the Fried Chicken Mac & Cheese Skillet for 10.99 (with one side - baked potato) and it was delicious! Cooked to perfection! I also love the cinnamon butter with the rolls that we got at the beginning of our stay.

This place has been there a long and judging by the constant fruit flys flying around the table it's dead. Lol, seriously, nothing here was really that great a star service we had as a 4 top, when the place was half empty was disappointing. It started out bad from the get go, who theropods off the menus they were soaked with water, from what I could only imagine was a dirty rag. Very nasty. We sat around a few minutes , I just went and grabbed some paper towels off a roll at the server station. The girl just smiled and was like whatever. To me when a customer is grabbing paper towels, you should find out why. Anyway, like I said there was four of us, we had a burger, 2 steaks and a chicken sandwich. The burger was just so so, the steaks I was told they weren't bad, sort of middle of the road and the chicken was very bland. In the end, could you worse? Yeah you could, but you could also do better.

I want to give it 3 stars but I was so disappointed in my salad. I ordered a $10.00 avocado, turkey, bacon salad. It was fresh and crisp but that was it. I'll admit I don't know for sure if there is such a thing as fake avocado but I swear it was in my salad. Tiny bits of what surely appeared to be fake avocado - there was no taste to the avocado. They were little tiny pieces all cut to the same triangle portion and colored perfectly in 3 avocado layered colors (hint-hint, not real!). The 'bacon' was bacon bits! Gross...the kind you shake out of a jar. I think there may have been one cherry tomatoe in there. Some shredded, yellow processed cheese sprinkled in, and a very small portion of processed turkey lunch meat that was cut in super-skinny, thin strips. There were some nice dried cranberries. At least it was all fresh so I ate it. The place was clean and comfortable. Service was OK. I guess I'd go back but I sure as heck wouldn't order the salad that was missing the key ingredients in its' name!

I've been to Brann's twice now, and each experience was mediocre. I'll start by saying that I hate how many TV's there are in the place. If it could be toned down to just the bar area or something it would make it so you could watch sports or have an enjoyable dinner with a little bit of peace. My first visit had a decent waiter, but this most recent visit our service was terrible. I know people can have off days, but our waitress didn't seem to know anything about the menu, kept forgetting basic things for us (plates for the rolls), and forgot to bring us our drinks for a good little bit as well. The food was....alright. The rolls came out a bit cold and very tough. I think they might have been sitting for a while or something as the last time I had them they were much better. My man had the prime rib and a "sea salt crusted baked potato". The steak was very fatty (almost half of it was fat) and there was no salt to be found on the very dry potato. I had the shrimp sensation tilapia with two sides of broccoli. The tilapia was mushy in texture like it had been frozen and thawed too many times. The 4 pcs of shrimp were fine, but I thought the sauce it came with was a bit watery. On the bright side the broccoli tasted fresh and was cooked very well. (I asked for no butter) Normally I'll take home leftovers, but I ended up just giving the waitress about half my dish to throw away. Honestly, the best part about this place is the selection of craft beers they have, but I don't think that's enough to make me want to come back again after 2 failed attempts.

I had previously been here before about 4 years ago, but it was my boyfriend's first time. Brann's is very close to our home so we figured we'd give it a try. We ordered beer and wine which came quickly. Then we ordered our steaks. Mind you, we both ordered ours medium rare. My boyfriend's was borderline raw, with maybe a hint of rare. Mine came out still purple and mooing on the skillet. His was an 11oz sirloin, mine was 6oz. The server, Ashley, was good and very apologetic. My boyfriend & I are both managers of restaurants so we knew the steaks weren't her fault and still tipped her well. But we did ask to see a manager. Once our new steaks came, they were very inconsistent. One bite was well done, the next was rare. The manager, don't know his name, didn't say, was apologetic and said he would talk to the chef to find out what had happened to cause such a bad experience. Never came back but I saw him standing at a computer, so I assumed he was adjusting our bill. The server, Ashley, then dropped off our bill, $20.00 off which was unnecessary, we ate 90% of our food so we weren't looking for a free meal or a discount, we just wanted to make the manager aware of the situation. Since we already had our bill, we decided to just pay & leave. We might have ordered more drinks and maybe even dessert but oh well... Most likely, won't be back anytime soon.

Place is awful. We used to love this place. Then they changed their menu and got rid of the two things I enjoyed getting there. Then they upped their prices. Our service is always subpar unless we get one certain waitress. We decided to try it out again last night. Bad bad idea. My husbands ribs were dry, and all of his food you could tell was microwaved. We got there about an hour or so before closing, and I'm guessing they just microwaved old food. Mid meal I started feeling sick, wrote it off as just being really hungry. Got home, and a couple hours later, in the bathroom every 5 minutes and puking my guts out! Food poisoning. Lovely. We will never be back, ever. Getting food poisoning is one thing that seals the deal on ever going back to a restaurant. It's 8.5 hours later and I'm still sick. Can't even think about my cold soup and nuked wings without feeling queasy. Hall road location in Michigan

Sizzling steak not recommended... The bread/butter is good. Now if you ask me if I come back ? I'll think twice... Rather go to Texas Roadhouse. 3 stars coz the inside is nice, service is fast.

I always liked coming to Brann's, but this was a lark coming this time because the person I was with was telling me that the place had fallen off, well it has. I mean, the staff was nice and as quick as a full-up weekend crowd would allow, but the food needs some TLC, maybe a changing of the guard. I ordered my steak medium rare and my friend ordered Medium. Two different cuts of meat mind you, mine was purple and the other was overdone. I could have sent mine back but with the amount of people there, I would have seen that steak a half hour later. I choked it down. Good luck Brann's, you're going to need it.

The steak was basically hamburger meat and the mashed potatoes were spicy they had this spice or something in it. The rolls were not like usual they were dry and hard. Overall i refuse to eat her ever again unless i was paid too

Ate here once and will never eat there again. Our waiter was awful and rude and when I asked for the steak to be med-rare they cooked it med-well and didn't cook me a new one after, also it tasted like rubber too. Pure waste money.

Lost our bill so food was never put in and made. We asked the waitress and then she decided to tell us. She did nothing to change our minds on leaving. Sat there for 40 minutes after soup was given

My mom loves this place, but I just feel ... weird ... in it. It's meant to be a haven for sports fans, with TV's lining the entire bar and restaurant. It's cool on a football Saturday or Sunday, but beyond that it's just too much. It reminds me of the old Damon's restaurants that used the same formula with four gigantic TV screens, until many of the places closed because the food and business model just became tiresome after awhile. There are also TV's at every table, which is just overkill for me. I prefer eating and good conversation, glancing at the TV here and there. But I felt like I was almost in a zombie apocalypse or something, with people glued to their technology and stuffing average steaks down their throat. Yes, the steaks here are OK. Not great by any means, and not the worst. Just OK. The other food on the menu, from the potato skins to the onion straw loaf (which is a ripoff of Outback's 'Bloomin Onion'), are just alright. The queso dip is pretty good from what I remember. The place just has no identity. It tries to be Buffalo Wild Wings with steaks being its head honcho, but the best item supposedly on its menu isn't even that great. Outback has better steaks, as does Texas Roadhouse and other places. It's an alright place that, like I said, is good when football is on during the weekends. But otherwise, there are more places on or near Hall Road that are much more appealing.

PITA...not the bready type either. Since most of the restaurants seem to close at 10:00 we decided to catch the end of the Tiger Pirate game and Miami to finish off the Pacers. It wasn't too busy, considering it was a sports bar. I thought it would be packed?? Why not? Plenty of open booths. and I know understand why? after the first 5 minutes, my Bony ass was scooting around for comfort. Why am I being tortured? Or punished? The place is 10 years old and I beg the owner or employees to have a seat in a booth! It was brought up to the waiter. The true test is it getting a message communicated to the manager or owner. Help! Please I'm sure they seen our party trying other booths, just to confirm how bad this was. I don't want drinks or comped anything. I just want a little comfort for 30-45 minutes not just me but everyone deserves a meal that isn't painful. Helloooooo?!! Is this thing on?? We saw Miami vs Indiana on a big screen and Tigers vs Pirates. I felt the agony of D Seat.. (defeat) pun intended. Food-3 chicken wings were on special .55 on Tuesday and Thursday good taste burger came well done. Pulled pork was pre sauced and results in a soggy bun! who wants a soggy bun? booo! this reminds me of CRAPPLEBEES with sizzle steaks. The Hamburger was good. Ambiance-2 A mix of neon, sports stars pictures dark woods mood lighting. However the booths are awfull! Sit anywhere else if you ever get a choice. Restrooms need a deep cleaning. I'm glad I didn't see the prep area/kitchen. FYI the last time I seen these flies was in a third world public restroom in the 70's. see pics and link. sciencedirect.com/scienc… Service-4 our waitstaff was real good considering he only had two tables. Location-4 easy to find on Hall rd. big parking lot. Value- 3 plenty of good deals like wings, ribs AYCE $14? 20oz domestics 2.50. There are too many slightly better places to go... I'm reluctant to ever return, sorry.

While driving down Hall Rd. towards the Christmas Tree Store which i was being dragged kicking and screaming to, the gf screeched as we passed Brann's. "Cmon cmon we have to go I love this place" she kept saying, so did the Michigan left and circled around to go thinking I was getting out of going to the CTS. It wasn't super impressed but it filled the need, had a great giant Sangria to start things off along with some yummy pretzels. Ordered the "sizzling" steak salad, the steak was anything but sizzling, the gf's was though, and tasty. Our waiter was very nice and service was spot on. Then to my horror as we left Brann's the gf says don't forget we still need to go to the CTS, :(

Horrible steakhouse. Stay away from the chains and pay the little extra to go somewhere better. My fiance and I ordered medium rare steaks, they both came well done. Both needed to be sent back and remade and came out correctly the 2nd time however the sides were not remade and came back out cold and disgusting. Had the loaded potato soup which was barely luke warm and seemed watered down. The cut of steak wasn't that great either as it had some sliver skin running right through the center of it, making 1/4 of the steak inedible.

Brann's is sooo wack. The steak is cheap for a reason - it's no freaking good.

Beware - Their "Gift Cards" are NOT gift cards, they are coupons. Up until tonight, I visited Brann's about once a week. I'm in their email club, Mug club, and around Christmas time, I bought into a deal that offered a free $10 gift card with a purchase of $50 in gift cards. Tonight, I went into Brann's for a special $2.99 second entree promotion and tried to use the "$10 Gift Card" toward my bill. It turns out that the "Gift Card" was a coupon, which couldn't be combined with other coupon offers. It was promoted as a gift card. It should have been accepted like cash. I informed the manager, who didn't agree. I don't like being ripped off, so I will return to the restaurant to pick up the T-shirt that I was supposed to get when I joined the mug club, throw that in the trash, and not go back after that. To be fair, the "Gift Card" did have the microtype printed with the exclusions that a coupon would have. It also had the words "Gift Card" in large, bold red letters...

I'm not sure what the negativity is surrounding this place. It was clean with good service. All our meals were good and the with cinnamon butter were a awesome. I was disappointed to see that they don't offer a Ribeye Steak.

Zero stars but yelp wouldn't accept it. Like my mom always said, if you don't have anything nice to say keep it to yourself. This was our seconds trip as the first was so bad that the manager brought over a $25 gift cert. Avoided the steak and fish this time. Not coming back...ever.

This has to be the most awful steak place I've ever been to!! The service is just plain terrible, and you do not get what you ordered. We were only a party of 4, and yet two meals who screwed up. Then the waitress actually tried to convince us that it was right, but that we just didn't know what we ordered. Really? The seating is uncomfortable, and they asked us if we wanted to sit in the bar area, we said know, so they sat us at the very first booth outside of the bar area, even though there was plenty of other seating in the restaurant. The food was horrible. The meat was tough, they should have given us a saw, not a steak knife. For the price, you could go any chain steak place of your choice and get a much, much better meal!!

Nothing spectacular about this venue. I have been here multiple times and never really loved my food. It was good but not great. Our service was alright but not above average. I really haven't heard great things from friends either.

Service is the worst here they are to busy talking among themselves then they are to the customers. Had to ask for bread twice and I was the only person at the bar. And the worst thing about the visit was the food. Stay away at all means!!!!!

Brann's. Not bad, not great. For the money, I feel it can be a good value. I had a small cut prime rib yesterday for $8.99 with two sides. I like the chopped bleu cheese salad. The rolls are always hot and the cinnamon butter is good. Kid meals are cheap and plenty of food. I was at a booth that had its own TV. My husband loves the ribs and gets them every time. The cheap 'sizzler steak' is not the best, but it is cheap. TVs are everywhere, so if there is a game on you won't miss a minute of it. Sports bar part is pretty loud, but a good place to watch the game. Low cost margaritas and other mixed drinks are a bonus. Cheap specialty drinks as low as $4.99. Decent place to go when you don't want to break the bank. There is something for everyone here, but it may take you a few tries to find what you like. I tried the sizzling chicken once and hated it. Also had crab legs with my steak once and it was pretty crappy. The Entertainment book has 5 $5 off coupons. Try the ribs, prime rib or a burger if you are skeptical about the sirloin sizzler. I have had great servers every time I went, so considering the other reviews, service may be iffy. They seem to have a really young waitstaff. My kids love the Candy Crane, and they give you free tokens after your meal. Nice bribing ploy to get them to behave and eat their meals. Sign up for their email list and you will get lots of coupons and notice of what is on special. I come here about 4 or 5 times a year since it opened and will continue going. I'm all about value.

The burger was just fine, and they didn't give TOO many fries. The free meatballs were a good surprise. Glad there are lots of TV's in there in case there are multiple sports games on. Can't wait to go back and try the buffalo chicken mac and cheese.

Omg! Those moth type bugs mentioned in a comment below. I SAW THEM TOO! There were a few in the bathroom and a couple dead ones on the floor by the table. You know when you see several of them that there must be a full blown infestation going on. Check your food.

Great food and service! I came here with a couple of my friends and I ordered the carnita wrap which was delicious! I also can't help myself on how hot the guy who gave us our food was! Will be back soon!!!!!!!

I love this place. I only get the 2lbs of ribs for $15 though. Soup as a side and cinnamon apples for a desert and always have a nice size snack for later. Lots of TV's for kids, cheap drinks too. My kind of place, try to go here at least once a month. Also the servers seem to be there for a while too, so that should tell you something about the place.

I'm not sure what to think of this place... The bar area is too loud to eat a meal in, and conversate, and the dining room has a tv at every table, so it's insanly distracting. I've been here twice and there's always so much going on, I just want to leave. Anyway, the food.... The rolls are basically the same at Texas Roadhouse, so is the butter, although I think there is honey in it... I had a burger on my first trip, and it was ok... Nothing amazing... Last night I had the chicken pasta skillet... random mix of chicken, bacon, alfredo sauce, penne, and mozerrellla cheese... it was salty and tasted like a big mish mash of food.... I'm not impressed, if I want a steak I'll go to Texas Roadhouse. If I wanna watch a game I'll go to Buffalo Wild Wings.... OH! They have fried pickels, they are tasty, but they give you like 15 slices... Rip off

This was my second visit to Brann's. The first time I had a steak (shortly after I had visited Logans and Ruth Chris for steak). Of course Ruth Chris had better steak but I didn't expect Brann's steak to be sub-par to Logans. This time I ordered the Reuben which was good - My husband had a burger which he seemed to like as well. However if you call yourself Brann's Sizzling Steaks, I expect more than a tough piece of meat.

This place is horrible. Our waitress sucked. Two hours later, I left hungry. They cooked the crappy looking steak well done the first time, rare the next. I just wanted it medium and apparently, they are unable to do that. It took 45 minutes before we even had bread and soup. Never again.

I DO NOT suggest getting the the steak. It shaped like a wedge. Does not cook evenly. I actually got sick from it. If you want a piece of meat then get the prime rib.

Last trip there included a sad excuse for a steak. If they marketed themselves more as a place to hang out, watch sports, drink a beer and eat mediocre bar food, and priced it accordingly, I could see myself going back. But it is not and should not be called a steakhouse.

I've never had worse steaks. I've been three times (once against my will) and each time I've asked myself why I return. Even my 4 year old daughter was put off by the chewy, miserable "steak". There are plenty of other places where you can get an affordable steak, so really, you should skip this one.

Best server in a long time. Ask for Ryan. He is a good server and has fun doing it. This is something most servers dont practice. He will make it worth my time to go back. I have had with horible and crabby servers around this town. While Branns is not a top notch steakhouse, it is fine for the price you pay. They have other good stuff besides steak.

Great food, fried green beans are amazing but the service sucked took 10 minutes to get our drinks, and not very busy at that. But if you like sports and good food its a good place.

This is not Morton's, Ruth Chris, or Capital Grille - but it doesn't try to be. Similar to Outback Steakhouse - these guys offer a variety of steaks and other mostly red meat cuts at affordable prices for the middle class and proud. I recently came in here with my girlfriend at about 10:30pm, on a Monday night - just a 1/2 hour before their kitchen stopped serving its full menu (apparently they still serve bar food munchies as late as the sports bar area is open, 2AM). Upon entering, we were greeted by a hostess that told us we could sit either near the bar or in the dining area. By 10:30PM, the dining area was dark and barren and at least the bar had some locals enjoying drinks and college football - so we chose the dining area near the bar. As per Craig M.'s recommendation, my girlfriend and I chose the 8 oz. Sizzlin' Sirloin - what these guys are famous for. It's not $9.99 anymore - it had inflated to about $10.99 - but no big deal! Our waitress was rushed - in a necessary way, not a rude way. She was still kind and courteous. The steak dinner came with a nice long list of sides that we could pick 2 from. We each chose the baked potato (loaded for an additional 99 cents) and the broccoli & cheese soup. These sides were in addition to the sweet warm rolls with cinnamon butter and regular butter. The waitress made sure to bring our soups and rolls with butter out first as per my request. I told her that we'd like our steaks and potatoes afterwards. The soup was a warm, delightful, cheesy treat. It was your typical heart warming broccoli cheese soup with a pinch of shredded cheddar on it. It went great with some Tobasco drizzled on it. When the steaks came out, cooked medium, they were sizzlin' sure enough. It was music to our ears. I cut into the steak and ate chunk by chunk of that savory hunk of sirloin. There were a few small strands of chewy fat in it - but I don't mind that. A cheaper steak needs some of that if you ask me! It was seared and lightly blackened on the outside and nice and dark pink-gray on the inside. Very delightfully medium. Yummy! The steak was seasoned well - whatever the seasonings they were - they did not overpower the steak or try to mask the steak, they flavored the steak but let the cow keep its throne as the forerunner of this plate. Just as Craig M. suggested, I added sautéed mushrooms to my steak for just 99 cents, and yes they were real mushrooms from the raw - not from a Costco can - and they were grilled right along with the steak to perfection. There were enough to have some mushroom with nearly each bite of steak. The loaded baked potato had cheese, sour cream, butter and bacon bits on it. What else do you want on a loaded baked potato? It complemented the economy-steak very well! Here, here! Cheers to the steakhouse for the middle class! With a "$5 off a bill of $20 or more," our steak dinners only came out to about $21+tax. Wow. Bear in mind we had no drinks or separate appetizers, but then again when there's complimentary warm butter rolls and 2 sides to choose with dinner - who needs a separate appetizer? It would just ruin your appetite for the yummy steak! This is a good place to come to tackle your craving for red meat without breaking the bank. If chicken and fish are your forte, don't come here expecting a world of variety! Sure, there's Morton's for a special occasion. But sometimes just needing a steak without denting the wallet is a special occasion in itself. And an occasion like that calls for a place like Brann's. Next stop - OUTBACK!

I am a Steakhouse kind of girl. I regularly visit them and have favorite and non-favorites among the group. Brann's for me ranks probably somewhere in the middle. Not nearly as good as Longhorn, but better than Logan's. I visited Brann's for the first time after 20 minutes of driving up and down Hall Road debating where to eat. I'd never been here before and decided to stop by. I ordered a steak (surprise) and their loaded mashed potatoes along with a salad and an iced tea. In comparison to some of the other reviewers, my steak was definitely not overdone. It was cooked well and tender. My mashed potatoes were to die for. Unfortunately for me, the ranch was forgettable. For me a ranch makes or breaks a place, and the ranch just wasn't that great. I am a picky eater and often have a hard time deciding what I want to eat, especially when I go out to eat. I usually can only find one or two different things on a menu I would eat. Brann's I felt like I could eat many many different things off the menu, this excited me greatly. I also had the brownie sundae in the martini glass for dessert, which was fantastic. The brownies were warm and in comparison to the cold ice cream it was delicious. My only downfall was our service. Our waitress just seemed perpetually irritated. She wasn't outwardly rude in any way, just wasn't friendly. You could tell she must have been having a bad day or something. My niece who is 2 said something to our waitress when she came by to give us our check. For a two year old she is very understandable and makes sense. I think she told the waitress she was eating M&M's because she ate her dinner while holding them up to show her. The waitress looked at her and blatantly looked away and never said anything to her. We felt that was uncalled for. I wanted so many different things off the menu that later on that week (That's right, only a few days later) I drove the extra distance out there to pick up Brann's to go. I had the Bruschetta Chicken Sandwich. When I got it home it was still piping hot and delicious. I went for regular mashed potatoes, which were also good. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they also included 2 warm rolls with sweet butter as well. I cannot wait to go back and try some more things off their menu, hopefully with better service. Not to mention their extensive drink and appetizer list that looked to die for.

Just had the smothered sirloin dinner and I must say it was great like it always is. I brought a buddy of mine who had never been here before and he loved the did too. Our waitress Nicki was very friendly and did a great job. I will definitely will return again and again.

To me, this is your average "roadhouse" type place. We come here for the ribs - they're juicy, saucy and fall-off-the-bone tender. The salads are always fresh. But beyond that, the rest of the food is fine, but nothing to write home about, and prices are reasonable.

Went back last night to give them a second try and I must say it was MUCH better. My husband and I both had the sirloin and it was cooked perfectly, had great flavor, and wasn't dry at all. I will definitely be coming back again. They definitely redeemed themselves. I always say just because you get bad service once doesn't mean it will always be bad. So I gave them a 2nd chance and it was great this time. Thank you!!!!

Wheat bran, rice bran, oat bran, NO...no health food...Oh Ok, steak Brann! Now that's my call. Sure I'll meet you there for lunch. There's a Brann's on the west side that I haven't been to yet. It's a nice middle end steak house. Nice lounge area to partake in a few brews and sports on television. There are televisions at the table just for you to enjoy instead of getting stuck watching something you don't want. The meal... I had their "signature, what made them famous" sirloin. This was better than I thought it would be. Prepared as I asked, medium, with a fully loaded baked potatoe. Since we were thare at lunch, the price was a little lower than the dinner for the same item. This was defiantely not a health food restaurant that I thought someone suggetsed by the name, but a very good, chain, middle of the road, steak house. I will be trying the one in Northville to make sure they have the same friendly staff they do here. They do have some good looking salads as well for the healthier minded individuals.

Branns looks like it should be pretty good but I haven't found that to be true. The food is okay, nothing special. Last time there the service was terrible. We sat in a nearly empty dining area and our waitress sat at a nearby booth rolling silverware and and talking with some guys. She didn't seem too concerned with us and we had to keep trying to get her attention to get drink refills and our check. If the food was really good it probably wouldn't have bothered me as much but below average food and poor service does not equal a good experience. I have gone there on 3 or 4 occasions and it's not worth it in my opinion. There are dozens of places up and down Hall Rd that beat this place.

Went there after seeing Calvin Johnson's ad on tv. Menu seemed to be in line with Texas roadhouse but the food certainly was not. Steak was ordered med closer to well baked potato was overcooked. Seems to lack the quality almost like they are a copycat restaurant that just misses the mark.

OK, let me start by saying there is some dispute in my family over this place. Some are disappointed in a limited non-beef menu with one Chicken and one Fish entree. I, on the other hand, am a red meat kind of guy and I like this place. Burgers are good and there is a wide choice of steaks including a Filet and a 18 oz Porterhouse. But my favorite here is the 8oz Sizzling Sirloin Steak for $9.99. Included are two sides from fairly long list. And you can add Sauteed Mushrooms for .99 extra.. And these are good fresh mushroom , not just soggy mushrooms chips from a can of gravy. There is both a restaurant and a bar section and you can get the full menu in either place. The bar offers 4 wide screen HDTVs and small screens on each of the tables. Great place to watch a game. And while your watching the game, instead of settling for some pub grub chicken wings, you can have a 8 Oz Sizzling Steak, with Rolls, a Caesar Salad, a Sweet Potato with Cinnamon Butter, a side of Mushrooms and a pint of Bell's Amber Ale for less that $15. Hard to beat...
