If you're this far into the Huron National Forest in northern Michigan there aren't a lot of dining out options, so finding Lost Creek is definitely worth it. (And, by the way, it's not all that lost, it's only a 1/2 mile down an unlit country road - don't be afraid city folk!) Full disclosure, I grew up in Mio and happen to know the current owners and a handful of the servers and bartenders, so it probably shades my opinion, but it also gives me a little credibility don't you think? Whenever I'm in town visiting family we almost always end up at Lost Creek for at least one meal, and for good reason. The menu is pretty standard american bar / grill fare - pizzas, burgers, sandwiches. But they do make the food fresh and it's not shabby. I particularly enjoy the pizza. One of the biggest draws for this place is the draft beer list. In a lot of smaller towns it can be hard to find anything but Bud Light on draft, so their variety is a real treat! You won't be dissapointed. The restaurant has a great bar area, but it's really more of a restaurant and they may close earlier than you expect, so if you're out for a long night of shenanigans you'll probably have to head out elsewhere after dinner.

I have never had a bad meal here! Great pizzas, burgers, wings, and salads! Did I mention they have over 20 beers on tap. We have always had friendly waitresses and I recommend this place to anyone.

New remodeled dining room. Very nice menu for the mio area. Had the steak, it was perfectly cooked, even on a busy night . Service was friendly but scattered. Overall good experience and I will return. New remodeled dining room. Very nice menu for the mio area. Had the steak, it was perfectly cooked, even on a busy night . We are regulars here in the summer when we are 'up north' for the weekend. Years ago this was primarily a bar but the new owners have turned it into a restaurant and done a great job! My favorite menu item is the parmesean baked cod- delicious! They also make great pizza and offer $1 beer specials. Biggest complaint is that the salad bar is not included with the meal. It's our favorite local restaurant and we highly recommend it!

What a great place... if you can find it! Actually it's not far off a main road but has that Lost feeling. When pulling up you get the feel that this place has been there for a long time and has a lot stories that could be told. I'm not sure about the history but appears it was an actual ranch at one time. The wood work on the outside and inside is beautiful. Big heavy logs, wood sculptures, and a lot of timber! This is the way a bar\restaurant should look in this area of Northern lower Michigan. The place itself is worth seeing. On to the food! A very helpful older woman helped us to our seats which were toward the back of the restaurant in a room that was full of windows. Windows wall to wall with the sunset and no wait!!! The sun was setting over the trees and it was a great view... no buildings, no vehicles, just the land and the sunset!! The menu is fairly standard with burgers, steaks, salads, chicken, a few fish dish, and a few pasta dish, and pizza. We didn't order the pizza but it looked delish and we have heard good things about it. Both my mother and I had the steaks. I had the NY Strip and she had the rib eye. Both were cooked to perfection (we had one medium and one medium rare) and were a good quality of meat. Steaks were served with warm rolls, a veggie, and a starch. Wife had a spicy chicken sandwich with homemade potato chips. She really liked both! The homemade potato chips were really good and we read they have a loaded appetizer that uses them. Next time for sho! We didn't have appetizers but they had a great selection and they all looked really good. The bar area is a big bonus. They have a large beer selection of quality beers and even beer from breweries in Detroit. I was pretty amazed that they had Dirty Blonde on draft (the beer ) because you can't even find it in a lot of places in Detroit and it's brewed there. We will be back soon. It's about a 23 mile drive from our cabin but it was worth it.

Good food horrendous service. Both the steak and Parmesan fish were quite good. . We waited 10 minutes to get seated in a very empty restaurant . Dinner was supposed to include a nonexistent salad bar and I had to request both bread and a side salad. Not a memorable birthday dinner
