Great crab wontons, wonton soup, sesame chicken, pork lo mein, and dali chicken. Service: meh. I really don't like the hostess/hosts here... They're kind of rude, not very accommodating, or welcoming... Servers are great, but they're always crazy busy and you do feel a little rushed on the weekends. It doesn't deviate from the chain's atmosphere and food quality. Craving PF changs? This one sticks to the franchise plans.

Today's experience at PF Changs was very enjoyable. At first glance, it was noticeable that the menu had changed. They have new small plates items on the menu. One thing that jumped out was that the prices were raised on most items, rather significantly. Another change, is the sauce trio for dipping is no longer offered, but available upon request. The food was good! They served the food on updated serving dishes that looked nice. The portions were not big, but they never have been. The flavors were right-on. No complaints about the service as well. So, have to just remind myself that the prices and the cost of the meal will be higher. This might play a role in coming here less frequently.

Pretty good Asian cuisine. Definitely a notch above your average chinese restaurant. They are creative with their food & do put a nice spin on it. Their crab wontons are pretty AWESOME, but I have never been wowed by anything else. Kinda pricey & portions are pretty small. This location is clean & service is acceptable.

I love this place. Not too expensive, wide variety of entrees, apps and salads in a very sexy atmosphere! The waiter was thorough, knowledgable and attentive. They have a lunch menu of regular items but not veggie.

I rarely give restaurants five stars but I've been to this PF Changs location a few times, and it's always very good. We came here (party of 3) on a Saturday around 1pm, and we were able to get a booth (at the Troy location, I NEVER am able to get a booth). We ordered the chicken lettuce wraps to start, which are my favorite, and I got the pepper beef, as well as the hot and spicy soup. Service was very good, as well. Although Troy is closer to where I live, my parents live closer to Northville, and I'd come here again when in the area. Lunches are like $8.99-10.99 (much better than their dinner prices), too.

Just wasn't like it used to be! Everything was just ok. Service was pretty good! My husband got pad Thai and there were no bean sprouts in it. What is Pad Thai without sprouts.

Count me in for that Happy Hour!!! Around Christmas time, we had a lot of guests come to stay at our house. A lot of guests. I generally love cooking but after breakfast, lunch and dinner EVERY day... it seemed like I was not leaving the kitchen. Hubby and I were at Costco and were looking at the gift cards for Christmas gifts.... one lady looked over at me and said we just HAD to try the PF Changs happy hour because the food is good and cheap. If you are like me, I am not a huge commitment person. I like to snack and sample and explore the world one small plate at a time.... no large plates for me! So, this was perfect. We grabbed two $50 gift cards at Costco for $79.99! Unfortunately, we didnt make it up to the Chang while everyone was in town... but the day everyone left. Hubby and I ran straight up there for someone to feed us so we could relax! Wow, we were impressed. First, we had the best waiter ever- Mike. He made sure our drinks were never empty and kept our tummies full. He was recommending small plates at happy hour prices left and right. Our personal favorites were the ahi tuna stacks, chicken lettuce wraps and crab wontons. Not bad for a under $5/plate. We washed it down with a couple of $3 beers and hot sake..... you cannot go wrong! Love the happy hour, havent been back for a "real meal" :)

It is a twist a different twist on Americanized Chinese food. I happen to liked it, the sea bass we had there was good.

Don't know what's going on here, but food quality and portion sizes have gone way done since our last visit. Lemongrass salad had 3 small chunks of chicken, Pad Thai arrived dry. Had to wait for sauce to be wok'd to add. Lettuce wraps were barely enough for four to taste. With all the choices on Haggerty, won't be coming back here. On a good note, the server Matt was great.

I expect the service, the food and the drinks to be consistent when I dine at a large chain restaurant like PF Chang's. In reality, I've found vast differences in quality from location to location. Some PF Chang's restaurants deliver solid service and good food, while others do not. Sadly, the Northville, MI location appears to be one of the latter. Perhaps it was just a busy Tuesday, but there were numerous service inconsistencies throughout the evening. Little things like no napkins/utensils at the table, serving the wrong entree, forgetting to bring the GF condiments to the table. The seasoning of the main courses was all over the map - some dishes were too salty, others bland and flavorless. On a positive note, the drinks were quite good.

I had edemae with the orange zest is incredible. Service impeccable. Dirty martinis are exceptional. All of their food blended just right with the spices and atmosphere make for a wonderful dinner. Except for one drawback restaurant is very loud because it is always crowded.

My first time to a PF Changs as my friend wanted to meet up for a long overdue dinner. Since she was stuck in the hell that is 275/6 mile traffic, I waited and enjoyed a Sangria. Delicious! It was strong yet refreshing. Still waiting, I ordered up the Kale and Quinoa dip. Also delicious! In fact, I'm going to try to replicate that recipe. On to dinner, I had the Kaleidoscope Roll, something new to the menu. Why I ordered that, I'll never know. I should have known better. I'm a sushi snob and this was not good. The amount of tuna and salmon was so small I thought they were peppers at first. No flavor, and the rice paper was just dry and crunchy. Not a fan. Should have went with another dish, but c'est la vie. They have happy hour here until 7, lots of little small plates that I almost food stalked and took from my neighboring table. Service was good and attentive. My friend ordered chicken pad thai which looked much better, and was reported to be good but not fantastic. I may give this place a try but will never order sushi here, my own fault for being stupid and hungry.

We have always enjoyed PF Chang's, it is my fiances favorite but the last two times we have went there they changed a few things, the things that have changed impacted our enjoyment. Like lettuce wraps, they changed the way it is served and not as generous as they used to be also they no longer bring out the sauces that begin the evening right before your food, little things like this is what makes people feel satisfied.... These little things are noticed by the consumer. The portions size of the same plates we have always gotten have became smaller with the same prices. We still love this place but just not as much as we used to. Which will result in us not choosing this restaurant as often. Makes us wonder if they changed management!!! Disappointing...

The food portion is too small for the price. The food quality is not good at all. The service is ok

Lacking quality main dishes. Their apps and sides are tasty but for what you pay... not worth it. I got the vegetable curry and it was so bland. My husbands sesame chicken was so salty I couldn't eat more than a bite. Service was slow and our bill was close to $60 with tip for me, hubbs and our kiddos (who barely touched their "chicken"). I salvaged the extra rice they brought us and used it in a recipe the next night, so that is the extra star that got them up to two. We won't be back.

It has always been my favorite. Then two times ago, i got my favorite lettuce wraps and they brought it out differently wity four pieces of lettuce (so now you have to ask for more) it used to come in a bag stacked. Then this time, they brought it out different again and then the sauces that they mix for you and you can add more fire no longer is served at the table unless you ask. They bring a premaid one ( disappointing ) i really enjoyed those little things. Now they have chop stixs on the table in a cup. I have always raved about this place being a fancy asian cuisine but everytime I go the quality changes. They also changed something with the sauce mixture which was gross to me. Like a horseraddish taste ( which I will puke, just with horseraddish touching my tongue) gross..... anyways we got our appetizers had a drink and decided not to order food. We went somewhere else.

I go here often cuz the kids love it. It's good for kids because they are super fast. Otherwise, it's too fast. You really feel like you're being rushed in and out of there. The food has always been excellent in my experience. The spicy chicken 'noodle'soup bowl is awesome as an appetizer. I've had many of the main dishes, all delicious. It's a bit pricey for Chinese though. There are very few combo options like you see another Chinese restaurants so everything is a la carte. I think you can get Chinese food just as good for less at other places, you pay for the fancier surroundings here. Which are nice, but hard to appreciate since it's ALWAYS crowded! Ah well, kids rule sometimes, so I'll be back.

We always love this place but they were especially spectacular tonight- had a 6:30 reservation, showed up 50 minutes late due to car problems. They seated us *instantly*. On a Friday night, the night before Valentine's Day. Love you, PF Changs!

Had the changs spicy chicken as an entree but started things off with the famous chicken lettuce wraps. The wait staff was very nice and punctual. They weren't overwhelming and constantly coming over to say something, which I enjoyed. Definitely a great overall experience.

Last few visits I have ordered the chicken lettuce wraps and like others, I have seen a significant drop in the portions and the quality! I am a small person who usually eats kid's meals and I almost laughed at my last take out. I ordered the chicken jicama tacos and though it was delicious, there was only TWO tablespoons of protein! I checked the item before leaving and the waiter heard my dismay and brought out Larry the manager. He "explained" to me they follow corporate guidelines and if I am disappointed he will be happy to give me more protein. He further insults me that if I want more protein on my next order that I can request it but they will have to charge me!!! This guy was a joke and had no cool about customer care or how to run a restaurant! I didn't want free food, this was about the principle - I paid a decent amount for a dish...it should be MORE than 2 freakin' bites!! I was so annoyed by this experience that I actually called Corp the next day. Mind you I have a 60 hour a week job, 2 kids and have no time for this but I truly believe this site is being cheap and reducing their portions. Corp was helpful and gave me a gift card. I wasn't expecting it and told them I will use it at different PF and see if they are as bad as this location. She asked me to follow up and I will. I should have read these reviews first but now will tell corp to go to yelp so they can read the other complaints too!!

Worst place ever if you have food allergies! They marinade all protein in egg and are unable to accommodate whatsoever! Very unwilling to even try!

ABC! As easy as 1, 2, 3! Okay for the person who doesn't do a Chinese restaurant very often ABC stands for Almond Boneless Chicken. The american person's staple for chinese food. Well, I'm one of those non-experimental, try something different people. My birthday buddy, Kenny and I went here for my birthday. He convinced me I would love it. They have a "meal for two" special. First off I usually do those with my wife. Seemed kinda funny doing a meal like that with my buddy, but a good choice. You get an appetizer to share, two meals and dessert. Priced pretty good. We ordered the Chang's Chicken Lettuce Wraps for appetizer. This was fantastic. I'd go to Chang's just to get those. These were five star. Then I ordered, you guessed it, ABC. This was prepared different than the usual local carry out ABC, breaded and deep fried and smothered in brown chicken gravy. This chicken was unbreaded and stir-fried with bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, celery, bamboo shoots and water chestnuts in a garlic soy sauce. Very good! Of course I picked out the water chestnuts, mushrooms and bamboo shoots (eww). I topped the rice with this ABC and scarfed it down. Again, very good and different than I'm used to. For dessert I tossed in the Triple Chocolate Mousse Mini which was three layers of chocolate ganache, milk chocolate mousse and flourless chocolate cake. A nice way to top off the meal. A good meal with with a good friend! The prices were a little on the higher side but not too unreasonable. A must visit with the wife.

Great location, service and food. Welcomed by the hostess and was seated immediately. Server was very knowledgable and prompt. Manager was around checking on all tables. This is not my first visit but my first review. One of the few places that actually clean the tables with windex wipes, who does that! Simply the best. You can not go wrong. I just wish they do call a head seating but oh well I can wait if I know I will be happy:).

Usually solid food, but you are paying for it. A bit stuffy for my kind of dining experience, usually get carryout, which takes about an hour

Always a good Chinese menu. We shared the lettuce wraps and they are as good as you can get. I had the shrimp in lobster sauce with brown rice and it was perfectly prepared and delicious. My wife had the Vietnamese Crab salad and she loved it. Very good Chinese food in general. The food is a 5* but the prices are high. For 50% of the cost you can eat at several nearby Chinese places just as excellent.

So disappointed. We are regulars and have always had a great experience. On Saturday we called to order dessert for carry-out (the chocolate wall) I was told before I placed my order that it would be 1.5 - 2 hour wait for our carry-out. I told the person on the phone I just wanted the dessert and I really didn't think it would take over an hour to cut a piece of cake? She put me on hold . . . I was still on hold as we parked the car in the parking lot. I went inside and the hostess told me it would indeed be over an hour wait for a piece of cake for carry-out? I feel this is lousy customer service and is lacking common sense. Due to this experience I will not be back and will be taking my business elsewhere

2 hour debacle! We have come to enjoy PF Changs, but our Labor Day meal was a disaster. To summarize: we (3 of us) were seated by a muted teen, then had to get up and ask when we were going to be greeted (waited ~10 minutes), our server must have been on the weed, as he completely messed up our order. My wife ate, then once our order was re-entered like it was supposed to have been originally, my Daughter and I ate. I took us 2 hours to eat and when the bill was finally dropped off, there was no dialog around any consideration for this diasterous experience. We saw they gave us a $15 credit, but based on this experience, we won't be going back. Bottom line, PF Changs failed on so many levels, they embarrassed their brand and lost a loyal customer.

First off I just want to say that I've had better Chinese from a take-out the size of my living room. Who actually pays top dollar to go and eat this salty Americanized tasteless crap food anyway? Here begins the shelling out of the crappy food awards. P.F. Chang's wins the award for 'Worst Cup of Tea'. I'm not sure how you take something simple like Jasmine tea and make it taste like your sipping on a bottle of perfume. I also don't get how they get off charging you $2.50 for a pot of this flowery crap. Most places tea is given to you like your ordering water. The cups are like shot glasses and you only get about 8 cups before you are out. They bring you another pot without you even asking and charge you AGAIN! Maybe they need to charge you so much because they are using 2 boxes of tea bags on each pot? Sure tasted that way. This isn't the price gouging end either. Your lunch is going to run you $7.00+ and your going to leave hungry. Hey, at least I had plenty of undercooked rice stuck in my teeth to feast on throughout the day. I didn't understand the 3 different salty sauces they lay out for you to dip your whatever in. The food is so heavy on the salt you won't think of going near the brown, yellow, and gold goo mixtures. My chicken stir fry had about 4 piece each of bite size chicken, red pepper, and onion. I hate places that take something good and turn it into a box of crap that costs you an ungodly amount of money.

Food is pretty good and their happy hour special on drinks and apps is a good thing. I'm usually not a big fan of chain restaurants but they are ok, a bit pricy for what you get and consistency could be better. For the best Chinese in Michigan go to Hong Hua in Farmington Hills, on orchard lake rd just past 12 mile. It is consistent and will blow your mind!

This restaurant always smells SO good when running errands to Kroger and PetSmart. Unfortunately, once ordered the food disappoints. When we go, we typically order the Mongolian beef or orange beef (or shrimp). While the flavors are there, unfortunately we always feel like the dishes are pre-made as they arrive to your plate lukewarm- at best. Every. Single. Time. The only thing consistently delicious (and hard to "mess up") are the chicken lettuce wraps. Frankly, for the price you pay and the wait you have to deal with, to us it is not worth visiting. We only go when our friends/guests pick out the venue. It really is a shame the food is cold, as again, the flavors are pretty alright.

Very poor service! We went on a Friday night and it was packed. The food xame before the drinks and we had not finished out appetizers. My wine was never bought out abd when i told the waiter he asked if i would like it for free or else they would throw it. Who talks to cystomers like that? We asked for water no ice abd he frowned at us. Very bad experience!

I love their Chicken Lettuce Wrap! I have my normal ordering pattern, but I have tried lot of their dishes. Lunch time can be busy, but if you go for dinner, make a reservation - especially during the weekend. This will help because the place gets busy. Go with family or group of friends, do family style and try all the dishes on the table. My typical order: Chicken Lettuce Wrap, Wanton Soup (serves about 4-6), Mongolian BBQ, Eggplant, Green Beans, Spanish with Garlic, Chaw-fong noodles (those wide noodles). Service is hit or miss - depending on when you go. There were times when we had to wait little longer then necessary, but i guess two hour lunch once in a while is not bad thing.

I absolutely love PF Chang. It is too bad the locations are not consistent in great taste and portions. :-( It is a hit or miss, I am finding. So far 50/50! Twice I have been at this Northville location and it was not good. I had to send back the fried beans twice (the first was almost burnt, the second had salt poured heavily on it). The dinner was half the portion of our lunch visit and was cold.

Eating gluten free at a restaurant is always an interesting experience. Some restaurants know how to do it properly, others don't. Luckily, PF Chang's does it well. I like to place my order online, then pick it up at the restaurant. I am happy to report that when I picked up our lunch, the server went the extra mile and showed me each dish to ensure that the order was correct and complete. The Gluten Free Fried Rice Lunch was fantastic, as were the Gluten Free Lettuce Wraps. The Gluten Free Egg Drop Soup was also good. We will definitely come here again when we crave Chinese. Very few Chinese restaurants serve gluten free, so it is nice to find one that does.

I've been here numerous times and have only had great service and delicious food. I've had the lettuce wraps (5 stars), the wok seared lamb (5 stars) and the dumplings (4 stars) -- plus other entree choices, and I've really enjoyed them all. They have *the* best cocktail menu around, and although they are a bit pricey overall, they remain my go-to place when I want to make sure I enjoy my dinner experience as a whole. The only drawback is the noise. It is a tad noisy due to how their tables are smushed together. Wish there were fewer tables on the floor. And wish their cocktails weren't $9-$10 each. But most places are going that way, anyway? Stinks to be a lush nowadays.

Not only has Chang's had a great, extensive gluten-free menu for quite some time (which is on the back of the main menu), they just added 5 new GF beef dishes. Praise the lord, I can eat Mongolian Beef again! Link is to a PDF of the GF Menu: pfchangs.com/pdfs/high_g…

I admit, PF Chang's is on my regular rotation when craving chinese food. Yes, it's a chain, and yes, it's the American version of chinese food. But there are a few things that they do so right that I can overlook these things. One: Wonton soup. So good - huge portion. The meat in the wontons is very flavorful. Two: Lettuce wraps. Really, what's not to love about them? It seems there is always a wait and the huge open space gets quite loud. Truthfully, we usually do carry out.

From the moment this place opened until present time, I have seen this parking lot and the restaurant itself packed. Good economy or bad, this and the other establishments in the area are busy. From my many experiences here with friends and with family, I've been pleased with the food and quality of service. My only beef with this place is that they did not do sesame chicken here like the location up near MSU does. I'm not a huge fan of how the inside is just one huge open room, not too cozy. It does get loud in here but still able to hear the people you are with. Talking about this place makes me want some lettuce wraps right now!

I'm overdue writing a review from a gluten-free perspective of Chang's. We all know it's a chain and it serves Chinese style food and it's pretty darn good. But, what makes this place great is you can get gluten-free Chinese food without having to make it yourself (ok, you can actually hit up Pei Wei too - also related to PF Chang's)!!!! The lunch menu is kinda small but you can get lunch bowls because the egg drop soup is gluten-free. It's pretty good - not the best egg drop I've had but certainly not the worst. It's a nice savory tummy warmer with an average texture for a soup. In general, I always go for the gluten-free lettuce wraps which are just as good as the regular one's that I got hooked on prior to changing my diet. Although I miss the Kung Pao, I find comfort in the Chang's Spicy Chicken - YUM! I get it extra spicy and prefer it with brown rice. Bonus points because on some level this restaurant educates their servers - they know to bring you gluten-free soy sauce (which I suspect is Tamari but, I'm cool with that). The hot mustard is also gluten-free. I have never had a problem (knock on wood) with being gluten-ated here and it's a fun place to go with friends regardless of their diet. Lunch and dinners are very busy - make reservations (you can do it online: pfchangs.com/reservation… ), call ahead, or go at an off time. You'll get better service when entire sections are slammed anyway. I've also been very pleased with their carry-out.

  • Keith G.

If someone asked to meet me at PF Chang's, I'd go; but the only thing about the experience I would anticipate would be the cool sauce assortment. In what is just another chain restaurant, you won't enjoy the atmosphere if you're looking for anything other than rustling. It passes one chain test in that the decor doesn't annoy, but fails in the larger category of chain weakness: high levels of salt. Are American taste buds really so flat? Of course not. The sauces help to mask one spice with others, though that should never be the case. And if you forgo the sauce selection, you may find yourself reaching your fork into the massive Great Wall of Chocolate just to get the South China Sea off your tongue.

  • Robert P.

I would prefer to give this restaurant a 3 and a half start because 4 makes me seem like someone who really does not love food and 3 just makes me sound bitter. Although for the money you always want just a little more at PF changs I do have to say they pretty much are dead on with consistency regardless of which location you go too. Alas if you really dont care how much you spend i like to get two meals lol something beefy something chickeny....maybe a green bean something with some soup...whitified lettuce wraps (dont worry i am half white) are good So if I surround myself with a plethora of food choices i feel better but the bill always gets to me just slightly when i leave...

I'm glad that I'm not the only one that isn't impressed with the overpriced frozen food served here in an over the top interior with only moderate service. Our server wasn't terrible, wasn't great either. And since our party was over a certain number, the gratuity was automatically charged. Food - meh, I feel like I could go to Hillers, buy frozen and it would taste the same. For the price, I was was expecting better than just some random Chinese take out place. Some random Chinese take out place would have been more authentic and way cheaper. The inside is very nice, I guess that is what you are paying for.

Man every trip to the Haggerty Chain restaurant row is like a forced march to a Gulag for me. In place of hard labor and socialist oppression are overly cheery faux weathered facades and oceans of banality. I'm not above chain food. Back in the day I used to like me some Outback Steakhouse. But it seems like chain restaurant food just keeps getting shittier and more expensive as time goes on. I don't get why we have to have "like a Chinese restaurant" instead of a real Chinese restaurant. Food is available exponentially better for cheaper elsewhere so I just can't wrap my head around chain restaurant row in general. The server starts off with this bizarre "sauce ritual" that makes absolutely no sense to me. They show up with a tray of little ramekins containing separate portions of dumpling sauce, hot mustard and chili garlic sauce. She asks me if I am familiar with "their sauces". While I am trying to figure out if she means do I know what these things are or not she follows up with another question of do I want spicy or mild. I say spicy to see what she will do next and she takes a blob of hot mustard then a blob of chili garlic sauce and plops it into the dumpling sauce. Seriously?! You just mixed my condiments for me at the table and made a big production of it? Jesus if you sold hamburgers would you mix ketchup and mustard together for me on the table in case I was too fucking stupid to figure out how to get it on the burger? OK OK I know Bates does exactly this with the bottle of metchup on the counter but they do it out of practicality with zero pomp and circumstance and they also don't dump horseradish into the mix thereby screwing it up. I could chug a jar of chili garlic sauce as I like chili heat but I do not like the horseradish-y-ness of hot mustard that much so now the "sauce" the server has made has more mustard than I would want and has basically ruined the dumpling sauce which I would have left unmolested in the first place if she had explained what the fuck she was doing. Anyway they have a Gluten free menu which is the only reason I was here for my Mom. The noodles I ordered were not very spicy and the sauce overly sugary and bland. The noodles themselves were a bit overcooked and sticky in a big clump. The snap peas side dish was a nice simple side and were sauteed in a little garlic and the large was a very substantial portion. GF item was shrimp in lobster sauce and was enjoyed by the GF patron but didn't taste like much to me but the shrimp at least were not over cooked. This mostly the same food in the form of Pei Wei Asian diners makes more sense to me as budget fast food Asian. Scaled up to PF Chang size I really don't get it and the value proposition just isn't there.

I love my P.F. Chang's in Somerset, and this one was no different, really. Actually, it was better because it's not as crowded. On the downside, though, the waitress wouldn't serve my boyfriend a margarita because he had lost his license. I know it's good to be vigilant about IDing people, but, well, I don't know, he does NOT look underage. He's 27 and looks about 31. She did let me order it and slide it over to him, though. Our meal: Pan-friend Peking dumplings -- SOOOO good. I love these. Gotta get 'em pan friend though. That slight crisp is necessary. Chicken Lettuce Wraps -- Probably P.F. Chang's most popular dish. They're know for it. And the combination of the juicy chicken, crunchy water chesnut, crisp lettuce and the super spicy (it's actually not spicy at all until you add the mustard and chili paste, so you can go as mild or spicy as you want) is DIVINE. By now, these lettuce wraps are a cliché, but they are a delicious cliché. P.F.'s Wedge Salad -- Eww. Not good. Sorry, I love a good wedge, but searing one side of the wedge of lettuce?? Cucumbers? Spicy dressing? No thanks. Crispy Honey Chicken -- I get it every time. So so so so good. The breading on the chicken is just crispy enough and just sweet enough -- not too sweet or I wouldn't like it at all. Put some soy sauce and spicy lettuce wrap sauce on it... Mmmmm. P.F. Chang's, dear, I love you.

If I have only one thing to be thankful about my ex for, it is for her dragging me to PF Chang's to try the food one night. PF Chang's is a great night out. The lettuce wraps are awesome, "How spicy would you like your Chang sauce?" Very spicy, thank you! I am usually an easy sell on a certain type of food I have discovered and love, as I will get it over and over again. I love Sweet and Sour Chicken, as well as Mongolian Beef, and Lo Mien. While this is an Americanized version of Asian cuisine, they do it justice. PF Chang's Sweet and Sour chicken is wonderful, as I am a pineapple and pepper person, and there are large chucks of both to accommodate the chicken. Their rice is always cooked perfectly, and just a wonderful atmosphere to be in. Prices are a bit expensive, but that's because you have to get the whole package when you go. If you were just to get a main dish and water, sure it could be pretty cheap. But I'm TELLING you, your going to want those lettuce wraps. So to my ex, thanks for being a horrible person. But on another note, thanks for introducing me to one of my favorite restaurants.

This place had been on my mind...and I was determined to get there sooner than later. We went last night, and I'm OK with not going back for a couple of years (if at all). When we got there it wasn't crowded *yet* but we were seated at a really crummy table. So I politely asked if we could move and we did - to another just OK table (across from the wait station). The place was less than 1/2 full!? We had the lettuce wraps (not as great as I remembered, honestly I think mine are better), calamari (processed??) and short ribs (over done, fatty and greasy). The 3 appetizers + drinks + tip = $65+

Yum! I highly recommend going to Changs with a party that likes to share dishes (family style). There are so many entrees to try! My favorites: Appetizer:Chicken lettuce wraps (why do they always give you an odd number of lettuce leaves?) - These are SO good! Main course (served with white or brown rice): Mongolian Beef - delicious! Chang's Spicy Chicken Kung Pao Chicken Sechuan(sp?) of the Sea Dessert: Banana Spring Rolls - these are ridiculously good.

i never really pick to go eat here someone else usually does, i would much rather go to a Mom and Pop Chinese place. but anyhoo we went and i do have to say i ordered the oolong fish (can't remember the fish) and it was pretty darn good. i do like how your able to order white or brown rice, and the place is for sure good for kids with the fun large round booths

Sweet as sugar. I am not a fan of any chain restaurant, and this is no exception. People say how great it is, I tried it and I don't see anything worth going back for. It seems all the food has been cooked with sugar, everything is sweet and syrupy. Also, the one wide open space concept does not appeal to me, I don't want to wait 45 minutes to dine with someone elses screaming kids.

Food: great Price: great Service: good to great There are a lot of choices on their menus and they will make accommodations for your dietary needs. Impressed by the many gluten-free options. Recommend: lettuce wraps, beef with broccoli also, get a club card or frequent PF Changs card, and you get 10% off your bill every time you eat there.

about once every six months my girlfriend and i will go just to get the lettuce wraps . 2 orders of lettuce wraps. Someone asked me to expand upon lettuce wraps. If you didn't understand I go there every six months to get lettuce wraps. Just the lettuce wraps. They're good go get them now, you wont regret it.

First time at this location. This chain does it right everytime. The Changs Spicy Shrimp was perfect. The Asian Marinated New York Strip was prepared perfectly.

Don't look at Boodah crazy like! I back to my favorite PF Changs yesterday. Nothing change... except wait time. 2 minute wait time for very early dinner reservation (5pm). Wow you say? YES, amazing!!! Food exceptional, as always... and you know how much I like Calamari don't you? Yummy Goodness!! And Wife-san has lettuce wrap again... she never change for the appetizer! Service good and waitress pretty good look too, good combination. Had banana spring rolls with pineapple coconut ice cream for dessert. Not bad at all. Just another wonderful experience with PF Changs and I will go early for dinner rather than late... cannot stand waiting.

Setting aside my rampant distrust of chain restaurants, I must say that the quality of food and service has been remarkably consistent each time I've been here -- and both have been consistently good. One must remember that nobody in the Metro Detroit area cooks, and restaurants are always seemingly jammed -- so reservations are strongly recommended.

I have been to a couple of PF Chang restaurants. One on the west coast, and this PF Chang. My better half and I have been to this restaurant several times in last few years. Generally I find the food a tad salty, but tasty and the service has been adequate to good. Some of our favorite dishes have been crispy chicken, beef lo mein, and beef with broccoli. One troubling aspect of our visits over the past several months is the number of accidents in the restaurant. It is my belief that the servers are moving too fast in trying to get the food out to customers and we have seen servers collide more than once with dishes breaking on the ground and contents flying across the floor. As a customer, that environment does not make me feel very safe. I hope the management will encourage the servers to be more careful in the future.

On New Years Eve 2010 we had a party of 30 there for lunch. My father, who is 91 and doing quite well, passed out at the restaurant. As I come to expect from their highly trained management/staff, everything worked out well. The staff was extremely professional and made the ordeal an easy event. For those of us that stayed the food and service was outstanding. For those of us that went to the hospital with my dad, the takeout was as good. My thanks to the manager, Stephanie and Cora for an excellent job. Keep up the professionalism, courtesy and great service. See you in 2011. THANKS Dave HAPPY NEW YEAR!

As a vegetarian, I really like this place. They have a number of vegetarian appetizers and entrees, and I can always order something different. The Buddha's feast and vegetarian lettuce wraps with brown rice are pretty healthy, and if I'm feeling like a splurge, I can get the ma po tofu or the coconut curry vegetables (has tofu). Then, of course, I'd indulge in the banana spring rolls w/ pineapple coconut ice cream) or flourless chocolate dome (w/ raspberry sauce). Sometimes you have to wait a bit for your food, so order some shanghai cucumbers for an appetizer!

  • Dan W.

Outstanding food, service, and atmosphere. What else could you ask for? I highly recommend the lettuce wraps as an appetizer and the coconut curry entree. If you get a good waiter/waitress (which is likely) they will probably make a good recommendation to you as well.

It is amazing that we now have "high end high priced" chinese food. The resturaunt is huge, loud, and nicely decorated. They always have a long list and a long wait for dinner. It seems like more of a bar scene at night. I go for lunch when it is quiet, less expensvie and more relaxing. One thing everyone should note about this place - everytime (yes - evertime and I have been many times) I have eaten there in the evening, some poor soul gets dumped on (red wine, the sauces, the food, you name it). It is gross. They pack the tables in, and there is so little room that this happens often. Don't wear your sunday best.

Although I love the food along with the atmosphere at this restaurant, I was a bit disappointed with my latest experience. My son and I had our New Years Eve dinner from PF Changs. I had ordered our food online and when I went to pick up the food, the server went through my food order showing me my meals, everything was fine with that but when she told me the amount of $60.00 and some change, I thought that was high, but paid my bill and left. As I was driving home I received a call from the restaurant but my phone died. I got home , took the food out and looked at the receipt. As I glanced at it I realized they had charger\d me for someone elses order, and I indeed had paid $15,00 too much for my order. I called the restaurant immediately and spoke with the manager who tried to call me. He explained that the reason he was calling me was because they had realized the error in overcharging me. He told me he didnt expect me to come back up the pick up the overcharge, but that he would send me a gift card and I quote, "it will be much more that what I was overcharged for the inconvenience". I thought that was very nice of him. Well I received the gift card today, 8 days after the incident happened, and the gift card was only for $20.00. Thant means I only really received my 15,00 back plus an additional $5.00, so $5.00 for the inconvenience , that certainly is not much more that hey owed me, and a card for a appetizer for the next time I went to dine their. So I am a bit disappointed that the only compensation from this restaurant was a $5.00 gift card. I was expecting a nice dinner for myself and a guest but found out the error on the restaurants part resulted in a $5.00 apology. Thanks!

I love you, PF. You are one of my bffs. I don't make it here often, it's a sad long distance relationship...The girls and I went here to eat when we were in town. The fried green beans are delightful. The ginger chicken with broccoli was an automatic "mmmmmm" outloud. Margarita perfect. Service was perfect. No complaints except for the complaint after eating way too much.

Excellent food and good service. The Moo Goo Gai Pan was very good and so was the Sesame Chicken. The Chicken Wraps appetizer was real good and could've been a meal in itself. Definitely enjoyed this place and would certainly come back again.

First, hot tea is supposed to be hot. It was tepid at best so the tea bag could not properly infuse the water. The food was good but had small portions for the price. The brown rice was more than a serving and cooked very well. My husbands Mongolian grill had good beef and sauce, but a lot of raw green onion when it should have been cooked. The honey chicken was well cooked but if you tasted it without knowing what it was you would not have known there was any honey in it. The fortune cookie was stale. The waitstaff was friendly and polite. The restaurant was clean and attractive.

I called two weeks ago to make reservations for a company team luncheon for 8 people for Friday, December 5th at 11:30. Called yesterday to confirm and all was good. Someone for PF Chang called me this morning to confirm. I arrived a few minutes early to make sure things were all set and the women who greeted me said "Oh, you were called and told we had to move your reservation to noon". I said someone called to confirm but didn't say anything about moving the time. Well she kept insisting that this women told me and that she heard from this women that she had told me. Refused to listen to me and went on and on. Then she said the table was ready if I wanted to sit down. Why would she tell me they changed the time but yet my table was ready? So i sat down and my party starting arriving and they had us at a small round table with a child seat. I went to the front again and asking if they had us at the wrong table because we have no children. She again starting insisting that I had told her we had a child. They moved us to another table and the service and food was great but I won't take people there again when planning company outings. Barbara

I have been to this restaurant a few times and the food has always been very good and the wait staff seem to be well trained and pleasant. The Mongolian Beef is my favorite and if I could afford to I would dine here every day! I only have two minor complaints. I wish the high salt content in their dishes could be lowered and I wish they had an option other than white and brown rice, such as some kind of bread or rolls or maybe some noodles. I am not a big fan of rice and would love it if I had another option.

This is the best restaurant in Michigan! I absolutely love it. Have been going many many times, all dishes are so delicious and big, great prices too. My favorite dishes are: Curry Vegetable dish, Singapore Noodles, Lettuce Wraps, Cooked beans, Won Ton soup, Shrimp Garlic dish, etc. They also have amazing teas, capuccinos and desserts. All stuff is super friendly and nice. Everytime we eat somewhere else, more pricy and often much smaller portion, we regret we didnt come to P.F. Chang's bcoz this really is the best! Only minus, there are usually huge lines, long waiting times in evenings or weekends (not always but often, so have to go earlier during day).

Food was ok. I usually have a good experience. Service was awful! And I am usually understanding, but when no one checks in after food is delivered- bahhh. I will not come back on a weekend night.

Everything was spectacular! Food was cooked to perfection as usual, guess it was slow night, but to me it was busy and they managed to keep up with what we needed. Because of this is why we come back!

Went here again last night with a friend to celebrate a belated birthday. Decides to skip my usual and try the pad thai. It was just ok. The appetizers were amazing as usual but not overly impressed with my entre choice. Don't get me wrong, it was not bad. Just expected more since everything I ever had before wa as awesome. Our server was great and very attentive and overall the dining experience was all A's!

Truth be told, I've been to PF Changs 4 times and only because we were given gift cards for Christmas. This is the closest location to our home which is about a 25 minute drive on a great day. The food is 3 star worthy in the sense that it tastes ok but not worth what you'll spend or how long it takes to be seated (even when you make reservations). Some of the items on the menu, you can order for a few dollars cheaper, at your favorite Chinese restaurant, at bigger portions. The service is mediocre. They're nice but they're too busy to make sure you don't wait 25 minutes for a drink refil. The only thing that keeps me coming back (and not refitting our gift card) are the banana spring rolls.

Trendy Chinese restaurant. My husband hates it, but I love the food. My favorite is the Chang's Spicy Chicken. Yummy! I also love the chicken fried rice. They have good-looking desserts, but I'm always too stuffed to try them. It is often crowded and you will most likely have to wait for a table, but I usually sit at the bar to eat, so I don't care about the wait. The servers are helpful and friendly. The prices are a little high, but it is worth it.

PF Changs is my daughters favorite place..so for her birthday yesterday we took here there. I am a little conflicted about Changs...everytime I go there I like the food..but always feel I have overpaid. Does that make sense? Everything is ala-carte. So if you do not get lettuce wraps or soup you sit with nothing until your meal comes out. And it could be just Kung Pow chicken and rice without veggies. That being said I got the Kung Pow chicken, the other dishes were sweet and sour chicken and Changs spicy chicken... and the flavor was awesome! 14.95-16,95 per meal ala-carte. That is just for the chicken with rice only. My wife and I each had one drink and the bill was 80.00 I can say the food was very flavorful and the service was good. The 80.00 for a few chicken breasts cooked with flavor bothered me a bit but WTH it tasted good and the service was good. Plus I only go here about once a year or so. A little hint..if you do not drink go to Pei Wei. They are owned by PF Changs and the chicken dishes are the same but 8.95 instead of 15.95. And no tip required..more of a Panera Bread type of ordering Updated since the prices have gone up since the last time I was here. I still feel the same, very tasty, very expensive Chinese food.

I have been here a few time. You usually know what to expect each time as far as the food. Great chain restaurant for Chinese food. If you want authentic than this is not the spot. The service has always been good each time I went. Drinks are OK. Can be a bit pricey. Expect a wait on most nights.

Oh PF Changs. You don't go here for real Chinese food... clearly. However, sometimes you just want some overbearing fake Americanized Americanized Chinese food and you come to a place like this instead of the Cheap takeout Chinese food joint down the street. Oh PF Changs, you've seen better days. I ALWAYS go there and get the Mongolian Beef, must have had it maybe 20 or so times so I know what I'm talking about. The last 2 times I've had it (includng this last time) it's gone downhill each time. I'm not sure what happened but the beef seems to have lost some quality. Again, you don't come here for a Kobe steak but there are still standards when you are dining for mediocre food. The beef was a bit dry and tough. Perhaps it's because the last 2 times I've eaten here, I've eaten in Detroit. I'll clearly give it another shot because I'm that kind of a guy... a creature of habit who goes back to have the crappy meal because it used to taste so good.

Thank you VICTOR!! Our waitor, Victor, and the awesome Nine Vines Moscato wine really made this an awesome experience. I had not ever visted P.F. Changs before and from the looks of the reviews, I really did not know why I was interested in eating here until last Saturday... We went for lunch; of course it was empty. I liked the food we ordered. We shared a huge bowl of Wonton soup (which had water chestnnuts, shrimp, HUGE wontons and pork in it) and an egg roll (Side note: I wish I ordered two EGG ROLLS-- they were that awesome!!). For our lunch entrees, the Hubs had spicy chicken with fried rice, and I had the shrimp fried rice (HUGE shrimp!!). We thought that our lunch entrees were really dinner entrees because they were that big. We were so full after a couple of bites that we saved the rest for dinner. When we dine, we don't really care about the prices, as long as the food is good. We paid $40 for lunch, but it was well worth it in my opinion!! We will return for lunch (we've heard it gets packed for dinner). Four stars because this place is SMALL!!! :)

Unfortunately had a really bad experience here tonight. The only reason for 2 stars is because their food is always delicious. I walked in to watch a game at the bar with my buddy, but before I got to the bar I had to walk by 3 robots with rude stares on their faces (hostesses). Between the time I sat down and left, I received zero attention from the bar tender who smiled a total of zero times. I had to ask for everything (another drink, carry out, etc.). Really bummed because I only go out once a week or so and hope for a good experience. I will just get take out next time. Then again, their call center take out service is pretty annoying too.

Excellent Happy Hour specials daily from 3-6pm (maybe even 7pm). Discounted food - and its the food you really want too, like their chicken lettuce wraps - and drinks (large hot sake!) I have a not-so-secret love affair going with their garlic sugar snap pea side. We order the large (I think it's $5), and I let Ken choose 2-3 then I scarf the rest. I'm also digging their Kung Pao scallops lately - delish spicy/savory sauce and perfectly cooked seafood. Other main dishes we regularly rotate through are the Chang's Chicken (I order it crispy) and the Mongolian Beef (also ordered crispy so the beef almost has the consistency of bacon). Always start with the Chicken Lettuce Wraps.

In a nutshell: Food was good and service was adequate up until the end. We were told by our server that there was a reservation coming in and if we wanted to stay, we would have to move to a booth. It wasn't approached as a question - it was a demand. We weren't even there that long. I thought that was extremely rude - We were going to mention the situation to the manager but it appeared the manager was the one behind it all. Thanks for ruining a holiday dinner. I will not be back.

I am sure the foodie police will arrest me but I have long had affection for PF Chang's, just not their prices which really suck normally. It is one of those places my husband really loves that I can appreciate too. A chain, not authentic in the least and overpriced but a happy meal at any rate. Recently I discovered the 3-6pm daily happy hour with specials running from 3-6 dollars. 3 dollar spring or egg rolls. 4 dollar crispy green beans, crab wontons or dumplings (pork or veggie). 5 dollar lettuce wraps (chicken or vegetarian), salt & pepper calamari or shrimp dumplings. 6 buck ahi tuna, spare ribs (northern style or chang style) or dynamite shrimp. They have PBRs for two bucks or 3 bucks you can get imports on tap. For four you can get a large jar of sake, import bottles or well highballs. For five they have a variety of wine and for 6 bucks a selection of girly drinks and martinis. Personally give me some lettuce wraps and some calamari or ahi tuna and I am set for a meal. We got some lettuce wraps, calamari and an order of James' all time fave kung pao shrimp with some rice (brown for me, white for James), a cheapie PBR for James and a personal pot of dragon eye oolong for me. We were quite happy indeed. Very delicious for what it is and better prices than usual so it made us extra happy. I say give happy hour a whirl if you are into apps...

As another Yelper said... I'm conflicted. Food is delicious. But it feels over priced. As a Connoisseur of alcohol and son of a (former) beer guzzling alcoholic I can say the Changs Mai Tai and Organic Agave margarita are amazing. Their version of the Piña Colado has way too much alcohol. It's not even enjoyable. I stick with the honey shrimp or the sweet and sour chicken. The food is tasty, but high prices make me question making this a stable.

Always a great experience and I've tried them in several different states. My wife and I love this place, but my young boys never seem to like it. However, they love corn dogs and tatar tots so they still have poor judgement. =o) We always start with the famous chicken lettuce wraps. My wife loves the sweet & sour chicken and I order the moo goo gai pan. I tried all the appetizer and love them all. I'm not a big dessert person, but many of them are wonderful. My wife loves the cheesecake with fresh fruit. Enjoy!

From their quotes "Other recipes are past on from generations to generations, ours is past down from dynasty to dynasty"...Seriously? You sell Generals Chicken, and crab wontons...Get your head out of your XXX Mr. Chang. I'm going to be as neutral as possible with this review. But I didn't have the most pleasant experience 8 years ago with the food, and to my surprised they still haven't improved over the time. Let me start off with this, what kind of "Chinese" restaurant is filled with Mexicans in the back cooking? Don't get me wrong, I'm sure there are people of different races that can cook amazing meals of other cultures, but lets be honest here, nobody hires a Mexican as a good cook unless you are in a Mexican restaurant. They are hired due to their cheap labor. I don't care how politically wrong that may sound, but if you don't think that this point has a remote chance to be valid, then you are just lying to yourself. We started off with the appetizer of Crab Wontons, and I was pretty impressed. It was actually decent. I thought to myself that maybe their food has gotten better over the years, but boy was I in for a disappointment when the main courses came. We ordered Dan Dan noodles, and double pan fried noodles with chicken. Both noodle dishes were super soggy. The texture of the noodles reminded me of watered toilet paper. Taste in both dishes was sub par at best. The dan dan noodles was basically just spicy with no other flavor, and the double pan fried noodles was just salty... I thought, maybe I was just biased, so we asked our friends to taste our food, and they thought the same. Thankfully, they had better luck with their "sweet and sour chicken" and shrimp and lobsters sauce. But in reality, why is this place packed? I have no clue, the ambiance was great, and obviously there is a large selection of wine and drinks....(which is probably why they eat here, by the time they are done waiting for a table, they've probably had so much to drink, they have no taste). I'm not going to even comment on the price. Plenty of better real chinese restaurants. I'd avoid this place like the plague for the next 10 years.

PJ Chang's is my family's go to restaurant. The vegetarian lettuce wraps are flavorful and the entrees are consistently tasty (and affordable). Also, they offer brown rice! It's refreshing, too, to have a waiter who is friendly and efficient. Good food, decent prices, great service = we'll keep coming back!

We enjoyed a delicious dinner on New Years Eve! My husband and I got the dinner for two. The Kung Pow Shrimp was excellent and the Pepper Steak was very good. We made a reservation, but still had to wait close to 30 mins, which was a bummer and made us late for our movie. Other than that, it was a great experience.

I'm not a huge fan of their cuisine, but their garlic snap peas are to DIE for! I never order any of the main dishes. I always get a large order of the peas along with a bowl of brown rice. No need for anything else!

I took advantage of the lunch special. My waitress recommended salmon. It was superb. I took a chance, made a sacrifice and switched I typical order my honey shrimp with walnut. Service was fine. It took a while for the waitress to come and check on me. I asked for extra Chinese cookies and she forgot to put them in the bag. Other than that, I enjoyed my food.

I LOVE this place for happy hour and that's it! I think the L crewe has been banned from here for awhile, but when we think that they will no longer remember us, or there has been enough staff turn over we will return. : P LOVE the whole dim sum, small plates, tasty lil morsel things and they deliver on this quite well. LOVE those fried green beans and that zesty zippy dipping sauce. I've yet to replicate this in my own kitchen :( They also have (or had; they may have changed it after we left...) great drink specials and a great variety of cocktails. Unfortunately, I cannot remember a single name of any of the drinks...except for the beer that I truly enjoyed. I think it was an Asain brew??? I tried Sake for the first time and unless you are one who has a strong gut (and throat muscles), a hankering for something that smells and I'm sure tastes like gasoline, then this is your drink! OMG that was the most disgusting thing I've ever drank. I HAD to drink at least two beers to and eat a serving or two of fried green beans to remove the gross taste from my delicate taste buds! The restaurant is quite large and can seat a number of patrons. The wait staff is wonderful (especially that happy hour staff). The food was served quickly and was always piping hot. It's also one of the few times that we seemed to get refills on drinks without waiting around for someone to ask us if we wanted refills. Now, I really hate to be a Debbie Downer, but the entrees are horrible. Seriously people, why do you love the food here?I know it's probably meant to be that "nu-asian" kind of thing and if that's the case, please rename all of the dishes (or at least my favorites). I'm not saying that I like the greasy overly fried, soggy, typical chinese food, but the food here is either bland, salty, soy tasting...Salt/soy sauce seems to be the main ingredient in all of the dishes that I've tried. I've been here 3 times for dinner and one happy hour. I've not had anything (other than the lil appetizers) that stands out and makes my taste buds dance...Sorry PF :( I'm not really a fan of chinese food and have only been to two places where I've been highly impressed by the flavor and quality of the food (one of which i have written a review).
