We went for an early dinner and everything was great! Our server, Erin did an awesome and took great care of us. Our food was prepared just like we like it and it was delicious. We made sure to tell the manager, who is super friendly about our great experience!

The worse experience I've ever had at a Logan's Roadhouse. I will start by saying I will never go there again. Took 15 minutes to place drink order. Took an hour to receive food. Had to send steak back three times because it was undercooked. My daughter's dinner was incorrect. Although they paid for our meal, the time we lost was unacceptable. We were starving! The manager Keith was nice but that couldn't take the sting out of EVERYTHING that went wrong!

The service was terrible. We waited over half hour to get our bar drinks, and we only got them then because we got up and tracked done our sever The only thing that kept me from rating a 1* was that when we finally got our food it was very good. I had the grilled meatloaf and it was topped with a excellent savory mushroom gravy---YUM. My wife got the salmon and liked it. This was not the first time we have had bad service here and that kept us away for a year. Now we may never go back, we'll try the one on Ford road in Canton

Decided to eat at the bar. I wait. I wait. I wait. Twenty minutes go by and no one greets me or wants to take my order. Place was dirty. I left. UPDATE: a few days later someone from Logan's contacted me, asked me for my contact info and someone would contact me. Needless to say no one ever contacted me. VERY DISAPPOINTING!

Well they did ask for my contact information as you see they want to make it right. I sent them my information to contact me as they requested and they still haven't contacted me. This is why I have taken my business else.

Went to Logan's on a Wednesday night and had a remarkable experience...not in a good way. Here's what happened: The place was a mess. I know its common for peanut shells to be on the floor, but there was a wide variety of debris to be found. Spilled food and beverages of all kinds and vacant booths that hadn't been cleared yet. We should have left then, but we hasn't been to a Logan's in years, had a coupon, and a family member had been endorsing their great experience at a Logan's in another state so we threw caution to the wind! We both ordered full dinners. The house and Cesar salads were good. I particularly enjoyed the garlic croutons. The starter rolls were good too...although as another Yelper pointed out, the basket was full of buttery grease. Before I go on, you must know that I don't send food back to the kitchen. It's been years since I've had to...until this place! I ordered the rib and steak combo with a sweet potato. See the picture posted...the sweet potato was SO old before cooking, that it had eyes and 3-5" hairs growing out of it that were charred during baking. Ew!! You mean to tell me that no one saw that? The tendrils snaked over the plate. The waitress kindly took it back to the kitchen. Now on to the steak. Which was small and hopelessly overcooked to the point of no redemption. The plastic "medium rare" flag waved helplessly on its death march to the table and back to the kitchen. The waitress was so embarrassed that she said she would ask the manager to stop over. About 15 minutes later, the manager came by with my second steak. And without apology he said "This is the second steak we made for you. I'll stay while you cut it to see if it's okay." This time it was OBVIOUSLY cold and raw! He could see it too but was completely disinterested. I gave up, thanked him and said it looked better than the first and he toddled off. At least the ribs were edible. Nothing special, but edible. I suppose I should also mention that my date had ordered a baked potato without sour cream. A different waitress delivered it and it was heaping with sour cream. Cripes! Mind you, throughout our entire meal and wait for replacement food, we had the pleasure of looking at the nasty floor with spills that were never cleaned. Again see the picture posted for just one little glimpse of the experience. This was a weeknight so there is no excuse of customers throwing wild weekend parties. Unless you want to take your chances, do not come here! The place is a wreck. I don't know what else to say. I give it one star for the salads and the very nice waitresses who tried to make things right. I sympathize and hope one day they can find a better place to work to avoid further embarrassment.

I went here about 2 and 1/2 weeks ago and to sum it up best, It show was good umm umm. The waiter we had was talented, respectful, courteous, and knew what he was doing. I cannot remember his name but I am going to find out and come back and let you all know who it was. He knew every side dish by heart, how many you can choose, what you can substitute them for, how they taste. What is new out and how you can serve it up at an affordable price. I had a steak and potatoes and it show was good. Better than out back. I ate at out back once and thought I was in the dried up desert for real. Now back to Logan's, the food was good, the peanuts was good, the atmosphere was real nice and the location in Livonia is perfect.

I was totally grossed out and appalled. Yesterday around 4pm, I observed a male waiter removing dishes from a table and taking them into the back area. As he entered the designated area, he removed something from the dirty dishes and placed it on a counter. I asked to speak with the manager and she told me that that was where the butter for the bread was stored. So therefore, the waiter placed used butter back onto the counter to be reused. I do have to admit that the manager called a meeting instantly. The wait staff were removed from the floor briefly. With all the new restaurant in the area, I am surprised that this happened. I frequent this location on a regular basis.

I gave them five stars two years ago but they don't seem as great as they used to be. My last two visits have been mediocre at best.

Sorry I didn't look at yelp before going last night. I don't think I would have gone to this restaurant. I know I will not be back any time soon. Wait staff at other tables were good. I ordered a T bone medium rare and my wife and daughter got shrimp. After a very long wait, I ask for the manager. As she walked to the table, I was cutting into my steak. Her first comment was, that is not medium rare. And this is without me saying a thing. As she offer me a new steak, I informed her that we had been there an hour. I knew this because I called my wife as I was walking in to find out if she was their yet. When I asked how long would a new steak take, she informed me ten to fifteen minutes. So this raised the question, why did this meal take so long? The manager only offered more or new food and even brought more potatoes to my wife, even after my wife declined any offer to replace her cold potatoes. Yes, mine was not the only complaint. Mind you if we want more or new orders we would be waiting and wasting food. I called the general manager and informed him of my problems. He sound genuinely concerned, but his offer of personal service next time I come in, is not enough for me to make this my steak house any more.

My wife and I went to this location simply because we were in the area and needed to eat after I had just gotten out of a 4 hour meeting. The one redeeming factor was the very accommodating hostess (did not get her name but she was an Asian woman I would say middle aged) who was very sweet. Our food was not seasoned, and not temped out properly either (they only temped the thinnest part of the steak.) We decided not to complain about this and make the best of the situation, because by this point I was ready to just get back home, and we needed to eat. I later found out that my wife witnessed a number of food safety concerns, unfortunately mainly coming from our server whose name I didn't get. He was taller, a bit stocky and was bald with a touch of facial hair, and if I'm not mistaken he had his ears pierced as well. The kitchen has a huge cut out door open directly to part of the dining room and our table was directly in front of this door. My wife, in the booth facing this view, witnessed our server in the back sneeze into his hand, and instead of washing his hands proceed to grab a to-go container for another table. He also swept the floor and wiped down a counter with a rag and proceeded to not wash his hands and then grab food bare handed to put on salads and the like. He wasn't the only one doing this. Three or four other staff members grabbed croutons for salads with their bare hands as they passed to the entry of the kitchen and to the dining room. I didn't find out about this until after we left and we didn't complain as (being in restaurant management myself, and my wife having been as well) I know generally speaking the remedy is usually offering free meals, and we will not be wanting to return to this location any time soon.

Pretty good food, prices are a little high for what you get IMO. They got rid of the peanut shells on the floor schtick so it looks a lot cleaner now. My sister absolutely loves their bread. Don't order a Manhattan from the bar, I'll take responsibility for that though, it's not that sort of joint and I should have known better. IIRC the dessert menu was really limited.

Excellent customer service! This was our first visit and we were greeted with a smile by every staff member. Unfortunately, the food was cold and just okay. The noise level was way too loud for our preference. We will most likely not return, but their customer service deserved a higher rating.

Although it took 5 min for the server to come to the table she was apologetic as the place was filling up. Her demeanor was bright and happy. She took my drink order and appetizer order.

It's pretty good but there is room for improvement. The greeter had his back to the front door for several minutes (no, he wasn't seating another customer or answering the phone). I had a very tasty shrimp salad but it had some HUGE pieces of lettuce that looked like somebody did try to rip/cut it but didn't quite make it. However, the rolls were hot and to die for. The peach tea got better the more I drank. I had to wait quite a while for my check. There were stretches when I didn't see any employees on the floor. The staff seemed very young (or maybe I'm getting old). With a little more staff and possibly some training, this could be a four or even five star.

This is the first time I have written a negative review for a restaurant. We have gone to Logan's in Canton, Michigan many times since they have opened. When we go, we usually do not have to wait long for a table. If you eat in at the restaurant, it is usually a good experience. The service here is usually pretty good sometimes we get a bummer server and sometimes we get an excellent server. Sometimes the food comes out quickly and sometimes you have to wait for awhile. It is not a predictable restaurant. My recommendation: If you want carry out, DO NOT go to this restaurant. We have ordered take out at least 20 times and I can say I have had a bad experience 20 times. The only reason I go back is because my youngest daughter likes the salads and their rolls. You can get good food for a decent price and so that makes it good for carry out. The problem with this place is the wait time and usually something is wrong with the order. We are always told that it will be a 20-25 minute wait when we order the food which is reasonable. But, when we arrive it is NEVER EVER ready and you have to wait a VERY LONG time to get the order filled. I have asked in the past if they wait until we arrive to actually put the order in and they say no. But, we still have to WAIT FOREVER!!! Honestly, this restaurant should not have a carry out service or they should tell people they have an hour wait. It doesn't matter if the place is half empty or full you will still wait forever. Now, on Sunday, July 6, 2014, we called in an order and arrived at the restaurant a half an hour after we placed it. My husband ran in to get the order and was inside for 45 minutes waiting to get it. The restaurant was only half full, the parking lot was half empty. Honestly, we could have gone in and sat at a table ordered our food and ate and left before they were done with our order and it was called in a half an hour before we arrived. Our salads had onions on them and our chicken fingers were awful. Just looking at what they put in the package was totally unacceptable. I did call and complain. I talked to the manager and he was apologetic and was offering to do something to make up for it. Honestly, I refused. We have decided that we just aren't going to spend our hard earned money at this place any longer. I wrote this in hopes that maybe one person will decide not to spend their money there as well. It's a shame. After reading the reviews on this site, I am not the only one with complaints. It must be the management. It's a decent restaurant with decent food but the experience is not predictable. The carry out service is AWFUL. It's too bad that someone/somewhere isn't reading these messages and fixing the problems. I give the inside a 3 star and the carry out service a 0 or a 1.

What a pleasant surprise. To be honest I wasn't expecting much form Logans but had much more to offer than I thought. Wife and I stopped in on a Sunday for a quick dinner. Upon arriving you quickly see that this is a country\western style building but they have a variety of foods including a lot of steak, shrimp, and chicken. The inside is decorated western and has a cool cowboy feel. The give you unlimited peanuts to eat in the steel buckets and they have Jack Daniels barrels random throughout the restaurant for peanut refills. The Logans I went to in Livonia MI had a large bar area that you could sit at with all kinds of happy hour specials and a really good drink menu. We ordered the grilled shrimp appetizer which was good but nothing fancy. The shrimp came with avocado\corn salsa and some tortilla chips which was really good. The waitress brought out hot rolls brushed with butter that were really, really, good. We usually pass on the bread at most restaurants due to the fact of how unhealthy it is but it smelled so good we couldn't resist. Overall my meal was really good. I ordered the teriyaki grilled chicken breast with baked sweet potato and a veggie skewer. 2 chicken breast came and were bigger than I expected. The teriyaki was sweet and thick as expected but not overpowering. The sweet potato was huge and not over cooked like a lot of places. The grilled vegetable skewer was loaded with onion, mushrooms, zucchini, and tomatoes. The veggies were cut large so they didn't turn into mush. Thank you chef! Wife ordered the 8oz steak and shrimp scampi which she was pleased with. Shrimp were bigger than expected and she said was spiced well. Steak was cooked as she ordered and was tasty. Overall for the price the meal was really satisfying. Most of the meals are $11 to $20 and come with plenty of food. In today's world that's had to find. Great place to go with a few friends to have a good dinner and some adult beverages. I like all the "side dish" options they have and some are on the healthy side. Wife and I will be back!!

The servers are rude. Forgetting to take a customers order then talking about customers is very unprofessional. SMH

Service was exceptionally good, but the food was mediocre. I asked for a recommendation on what to order from the waitress and she said the ribs. The ribs were dry and overdone, fries were lukewarm. I did like the little mini bucket dessert - it was just enough sweetness at the end of the meal. Oh well - it's only the service that gets 'em 2 stars.

Terrible! Terrible service, plates and utensils had a greasy film on them. We arrived at around 8 p.m. and the restaurant was about half full, but it took about an hour to get our food after we ordered it. The food was ok but the rest of the experience was totally not worth it.

Some of the worst service of any steak place. Been a few times, and the service ranges from barely acceptable to down right inexcusable. Servers disappear for 20+ minutes, drinks go unrefilled, requests get forgotten.

Ok... I've tried this place a couple of times. Unfortunately, I wouldn't go here again. It always seems like they are low on staff all the staff. Ok true enough... I was greeted with a smile which that what the first star is for but after that I had to start deducting from it. It took the waiter forever to take my families other and when the food came; basically it was like getting served a happy meal. (Where's the rest of my food?!) It was like they were moving fast than what was going on but I knew this from the first time but I was giving them a 2nd try. Obviously they failed!!! They only way I would go back here, if someone paid for my dinner and they really wanted to go but believe me, I would try to talk that person out of it.

Another night out during while tagging along on a business-related trip - and this was close to the hotel. I must concede that, in reading previous reviews, we were almost convinced to avoid this place tonight (though being hungry enough to be indecisive surely only contributed to that issue/problem). We arrived during prime dinner hour and encountered a not-unexpected wait (even at prime time, "20 to 25 minutes" wasn't as bad as we feared). We made our way to the bar to grab a couple of drinks while we waited. We ordered a "house margarita" along with a "gran patron" margarita, however, even as avid margarita fans, we could not see nor taste any sort of difference between the two, even though the bar bill noted the $2 difference (I also made the mistake of not watching them being poured). In any case, we were off to a bad start. We were seated pretty much as-promised (likely in less time than originally quoted) and the wait-staff was very polite and helpful for us as first-timers. She had the salmon (QUITE tasty - pink, flaky with great flavor) while I settled on the porterhouse. Meat was cooked as-ordered and was seasoned well, though a very slight bit under-done near the bone (which isn't completely surprising, given the huge size of the steak). Overall, I'd surely return, but probably wouldn't bother ordering anything other than a "normal" or "well" drink.

I recall my first walking into Logan's and seeing a million peanuts on the floor. I thought to myself, uh...this is kind of hillbilly. Then my server takes the bucket of peanuts on my tables and throws them on the ground. WEIRD!! Not sure, how this concept came to creation...but it's not a norm in restaurants I frequent. But I guess that was the whole idea... Logan's reminds me of an AppleBee's type dining establishment. Same type of food, but maybe with a more "rough" appearance and taste. I recommend a steak burger or the delux chicken grilled sandwich. They also have ribs, shrimp, and plenty of steak options. The staff gets paid to engage you in having a good time, so I hardly ever have complaints about the service. Well, except one time...it was really slow. If you have never been before, I highly recommend checking it out...and experiencing peanuts on the floor.

Disgusting rolls swimming in some imitation butter, burnt ribs, and a server with an attitude.

Who knew that a place with crap all over the floors would actually be a great place to eat. At first thought it's like, I don't want to throw this on the floor. It goes against everything mother taught me. Then you see other folks doing it and it's like OK. I always have the sweet potato and the rolls are to pass out for. The salads could definitely be a lot better. I'm a picky salad eater. But the portions are a decent size. My waitresses have always been great at this location. The wait time is not that long. An easy 30 minutes if dining on the weekend. For kicks and giggles, I like taking my son. He thinks he's getting away with something by throwing the shells on the floor. Gotta love a restaurant that will clean up after your child and not mind.

I've been to other Logan's and have a reasonable expectation of what the entire experience should be like. Unfortunatley this location consistently disappoints. It is closest to my home so we have tried it multiple times over the last few years. Most often the food is prepared incorrectly, and the service is usually poor. We've had similar items (the Logan) ordered the same way (Medium well) coming out looking like two entirely different mkeals. One is still raw inside and bleeding, the other is overcooked and taste like charcol and burnt. The servers are often very slow and appear untrained or frustrated asking for a beverage refill , or other notmal meal requests. We've gotten attitudes and more from staff asking to have a steak cooked longer, or asking for more rolls (that are complimentary), or a beverage refill. This has happened on multiple occasions. Management has brushed off concerns or complaints, and yet the same experience occurs almost every time. It's clear we need to go elsewhere for reasonable food and reasonable service.

This place sucks, I've never received such horrible service in my life. It sucks because where I grew up logans was awesome we wen't there all the time. Sad we can't go here.

One time it's good the next time it sucks. This has happend on more than a few visits. Logans is just to inconsistant you never know what your gonna get. I doubt I will be returning anytime soon. This gos for the Canton location also. The food can be good and the service too . But when it's bad it's bad.

The poor reviews are pretty consistent with my experience. I went on a friday night with my family (7 adult & 2 children), it took about 45 minutes to be seated, which could expected. The waitress was nice, however it took an extremely long amount of time to get our food. She came back to check on our table a few times, but could have came by more often to see if we could take refills on drinks. When the food did come some of the orders were incorrect. The manager on staff was doing damage control all night, due to the long waits. He came to our table to ask how everything was and my brother-in-law asked if he could grab another lemonade, the manager jokingly said "I'm a manager, I don't work" and my brother-in-law said "I can tell". I don't know if the manager was joking or not, but he didn't get the lemonade, so it was in very poor taste. I would not recommend this location in good faith.
