Great value and great food. Margaritas are unique and very good. Vegetarian tacos with poblano chile was great - my boyfriend enjoyed the portabella steak fajita - he loved it! The pico de gallo is full of flavor. We wish that they would serve breakfast too! This retaurant is a gem in Lapeer!

I'm not a big mexican food eater, so when a friend suggested this one for dinner. I was hesitant. But, I really enjoyed my meal here. Had the Chicken Fajitas, they were very tasty, and waitress was great in getting me condiments to go with them. I love that they put the salsa in little carafes and each person gets a little bowl for their own salsa and chips. The salsa was great, and the watermelon and peach Margaritas were excellent! Really wanted to try dessert, but was stuffed when finished. Will definitely be going back, great service as well! Another plus, it's bigger than the other restaurants that are in old downtown lapeer.

Good overall experience here. However they kept bringing us baskets of crushed chips.. Which would be fine if we wanted to mix the salsa with them, and make a mexican soup. Since we didn't, we kept asking for more chips, and they kept bringing us more baskets of crushed ones. Other than that, the experience was very good! This is surely one of the better Mexican Restaurants in lower Michigan. It sure beats out Camillias, and Azteca down here, that's for sure. I got the Carne Asada, and it was excellent. Carne Asada is a 'hit or miss' at most places, and here it was surprisingly good. I had a chance to taste some other entrees, and all were good. I'd recommend the Enchiladas Supremas, or the Chimichangas as well, both were excellent. They probably have the best Guacamole in Michigan, order up a large bowl and you will not regret it! Good functional beans/rice, not the best beans, that award goes to Camillias, but still functional, and good. The salsa served with the chips is excellent, and heavy on the cilantro which makes it delicious. Recommended!

Had the big burrito, not impressed. Everything else was good including the staff & prices. Table was a bit sticky which really bothers me. Chips and salsa were good also. THEY HAD NO HOT SAUCE ON THE TABLE! When I asked for it they brought me Franks, FRANKS...... REALLY?

Solid mexican. Good chips and salsa. Good beers at fair prices. The owners/manager are very nice. Taco Tuesdays is a sweet deal. I was disappointed with the fish tacos and probably won't get them again. And if I am being critical...I feel like the menu is sort of constructed strangely. The long list of side or a la carte items is peculiar. .. and most the entrées feel a touch pricey and don't excite me too much. But all in all.... good mexican in a up and coming downtown area.

The food is generic but I do like that they have Mexican cola. If you want good Mexican and have the time and the patience, go down to lake Orion and eat at Sagebrush. But if you don't, just get Taco Bell.

This is such a good place! The staff is super friendly. The food, is good. The bathroom though, is just a single bathroom, for both men and women, so if the place gets busy, prepare to wait a little lol. It's a really great little place!

Was here for lunch with friends and even though we were ordering the daily specials (plain taco with lettuce and cheese) it still took almost 45 minutes to get our lunch. Way too long for as few customers in there. The waitress was very nice and got our refills on chips and salsa, but again the wait killed it for me. The "Taco Tuesdays" special is nothing great. You would be better serviced going to the local Taco Bell down the street. because this place compares with that Big Chain Fast Food resturant. as far as quality and taste of food.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
