I walked in at lunchtime on a Sunday, and it was PACKED, despite the empty sidewalk seating. I was seated immediately and left to peruse the smirkable menu. I took my time, and the waitress let me. Once I gave her my order, I soaked in the atmosphere. This isn't just a diner. It SCREAMS Michigan diner. Bar seating, booths, license plates on the wall, Oldsmobile memorabilia (love me some REO town), the severed heads of parking meters on the booth tables... perfect. The coffee was diner coffee, exactly what I expected, nothing more, nothing less. The shoestring fries were well seasoned, but could have been in the fryer for a bit longer. I can't blame them, I forgot to order them crispy, and I like them well done. I ordered the mushroom burger on pretzel bun, and my taste buds will be thanking me for the rest of the day. This wasn't just a mushroom burger, it was a supernova of flavor. I'm fairly certain that my eyes bugged out of my head and I uttered a string of make-a-sailor-proud curses, but I'll never know, because all I can remember is how good it tasted. If the rest of the food is as good as their burger, I would recommend letting nothing stand in between you and this diner. Not plague, famine, flood, war, death, humidity, or allergens. The Good Truckin' Diner? I shall return.

A small but mighty and charming diner in the up & coming REO Town. Food truck turned brick & mortar and so glad they did. The burgers are the best I've had. You can get the basics or choose one of their many creatively built masterpieces. You are treated like a friend upon entry which adds to its charm. Prices are very reasonable. The flavors are going to become your new cravings...ridiculously creative & delicious. Breakfast is just as fun & yummy...so many good choices we asked for help choosing. We split the Hangover Sammich & Mona's Omelette and loved both. Our kids loved it & have begged to come back "every morning".

This place is awesome. The food was well prepared. The menu has great options for both breakfast and lunch. The bourbon street French toast, excellent. The breakfast club "sammich" was flavorful and fulfilling. Definitely top breakfast I've had in Lansing.

Inexpensive, innovative, good service My 2nd visit and well with it. Ordered the Breakfast Club and asked to have French toast instead of white bread. The result? An amazing Monte Cristo with egg, meats, cheese, tomato and sauteed spinach. Well worth the small up charge. We also split a generous order of crispy, hand battered onion rings. Service matched the food, both excellent. Well worth the visit to the slightly out of the way REO Town. Please note, this is a really small place and not set up for large groups.

In East Lansing for meetings and had time for breakfast before meetings. Address on Yelp takes you to some sketch neighborhood. Almost gave up and didn't come. So glad we kept going. Food is amazing and prices are great. Well worth the trip.

We got there just in time! There was no wait but that didn't last for long. People were standing outside waiting while it was drizzling outside. They must have known how good it is! I got the breakfast burrito with chicken, waffles and scrambled eggs. It was absolutely delicious. It was sweet while savory and crunchy. As an 8.5 month pregnant woman this was everything that I've been hoping for in a meal! My husband got the omelette with a habanero salsa on it and he said it was very good. The salsa was hot but not overpowering. Our friend Jeff got pretty much the biggest breakfast ever. It had hot cakes, eggs, potatoes, toast, biscuits and gravy and maybe another thing or two. His was delicious and he ate the whole damn thing! Basically we will be coming back! Everyone was extremely friendly and that means a lot!

Great food, fast service and reasonable prices. What else could someone want! In particular the pancakes were some of the best I've had in ages!

I have now eaten at the Good Truckin Diner three times, and each time it was excellent. The first time was for an impromptu breakfast and I arrived ten minutes before they opened. The owners were so cool that they invited me in for coffee before they were ready. Very friendly folks. That time I had the Miklos omelette and it was fantastic! The second time I went was for another omelette - the Sgt Pepper...very spicy but also very good. I really love the finesse with which they put together their omelette. They also have a bourbon street trench toast with caramelized bananas that is killer! The last time I went was with people from the Mid Michigan Food Club. The owners were kind enough to open up for dinner and let 20+ of us descend on them all at once. It was really good and the service was so very friendly. This time I had the West Coast burger. It was really awesome. Best burger I have had in Lansing. That includes Crunchy's, Black Cat, and Dusty's. You should definitely check this place out!

Sgt Pepper omelet was delicious - stars were the house made jalapeño cream cheese and habanero relish! Service was good too. Only reason not to give 5 stars was no melted butter on my toast...will definitely go back though.

My boyfriend and I went to Good Truckin' for lunch this weekend. Everything was so delicious. We split two things; the Super Trooper and a breakfast burrito. The food came out quickly and hot. That being said, there was nobody else in there at the time... so I don't know if service is always that quick. I loved the decor, it was a really unique and fun vibe. Definitely will be going back.

Awesome food. Perky, attentive server. No seat available when I left, indicates that word-of-mouth has already made this place a hit. . . make that a HomeRun!

Absolutely love the food here. The hangover is my personal favorite. The smoked pulled pork is exactly how pulled pork should be. Tender and full of flavor. They've brought a few of the staples from the food truck to the diner. And if you don't get a super trooper sandwich at some point in your life there will always be something missing inside your soul. The staff are fantastic. Attentive and friendly. Personally I like to belly up to the bar with a cup of coffee and watch the culinary artistry that goes on while I wait for my food. The decor is pleasing to the eyes. Many cool local pieces hang around and there is a great local vibe. Always clean which is very important. I can't recommend good Truckin diner enough and champion it to close friends and family. Never had a long wait but there is always a solid crowd in. Food is brought out quick fresh and hot. Don't miss a chance to check this place out!

I am a huge fan of Good Truckin' Diner! It's a great additional to Reo Town and the environment is welcoming to all patrons. The menu has some great items which makes Good Truckin' Diner different compared to the other diners in the area. Both times I ate at Good Truckin' Diner, I snagged the last available table. Thankfully they serve food quickly so people are not waiting around for long periods of time. If Good Truckin' served turkey sausage and had a gluten free lunch option, I would make more regular visits.

My husband and I tried Good Truckin' today. He ordered the strawberry hotcakes for $6.99 - this price also included a choice of meat, toast, and potatoes. He said the hotcakes had a very good flavor (and he's a hotcake junkie), the potatoes had a good flavorful seasoning, and the bacon and toast was also very good. He said the price was ridiculously low given that he brought home enough for another meal. I thought I ordered a burrito but they brought me a blue cheese burger - I realized that I probably didn't clearly order a burrito and took the burger that they brought me. They cut the burger price in half even though I told them not to. It was very good and now I get to go back for one of their breakfast burritos too! My husband hopes they are charging enough to cover their costs as the food was a great value. If you like to be able to choose either breakfast or lunch at noon this place is for you!!
