This place is real small and busy. Parking was plenty. I enjoy the patio in warmer months. Tables can be crowded too close to each other because of limited space inside. Our visit was Monday where Margaritas were $2.00. Regulars were strong but so so on taste, Mixed Reg/Straw was decent, BUT Strawberry Margs were STRONG and tasty. My food was good average. Good/average is my rating for a Mexican Restaurant that is not remarkable either good or bad... since we have so many EVERYWHERE now. Good/average means that the food was worth the money spent and we would return sometime in the future. Acoustics are poor and when the bar regulars start talking "DrunK- LOUD" it travels. Have a few Margaritas to filter this. I want to sit at the bar for once but all the damn regulars are taking up the seats everytime we go. Even Monday at 7pm. Service was good. 3 1/2 stars total.

My wife and I went there because we were out and it was close and Mexican food sounded good at the time. We took our children also. We sat out on the patio but unfortunately sat at a table and chairs that were very wobbly and unlevel, although looking at other tables and listening to other customers we found out we weren't the only ones. We ordered our food from the waitress, whom was very pleasant and helpful, and waited for our kids to simmer down. Before our food arrived I took my son to the bathroom. The door handle was missing and when we got inside the toilet paper holder was broken and the roll was shoved into the remaining holder handle. Upon lifting my son against the basin to wash his hands I turned around to grab a towel and there was none so we had to use toilet paper. Before we exited I noticed the sink had left some kind of rust colored stain on both his shirt and pants, which highly angered me. Back at the table our food had already arrived so I flagged the waitress and told her about the hand towels missing, which she thanked me for telling her. My wife and I finished eating and talked about our experience. We tipped the waitress because she was very good at her job, but agreed we will not be eating there again.

Relative to most Mexican Restaurants: 1} Food = D (the re-fried beans an oily mess) 2) Atmosphere = C (Nothing remarkable) 3) Staff = B (Fast and attentive ) 4) Dining room = D (packed in like sardines)

Food was average, service was sloooooooow! 2 servers for the entire patio area. They also don't accept AMEX. :-/

I like this place! It's taken Carmel's place, as far as I'm concerned. Small and homey, with good Tex-Mex style food. Excellent margaritas. Friendly waitresses. Sit at the bar and have a few to warm you up, while you're waiting for a take out order.

You may have to wait a while to get a seat but it's well worth it. The staff is great and the food is even better. Every time we drive by the parking lot is packed. Once again we'll with the wait

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
