Took a group of 4 adults and 9 kids out to eat on New Years Eve. Service was slow but to be expected as we took last parking spot and it was New Years Eve! Staff was friendly especially with such a large group and the food was awesome. Will go back again since we moved nearby recently.

I was visiting my son at Hillsdale college and went out to eat here with him. Good service, clean restrooms, but great food. I had the pulled pork and my son had the BBQ beef sandwich. Both were excellent and the fries are great too. Best of all was the price. It cost less than McDonalds and was 100 times better.

Tuesday wing day...45 cents...great wings , large enough, cooked perfectly w/ incredible sauces, fresh crisp celery. Try the mushroom or pickle appetizers! If fried foods will kill you....you'll certainly die with a full belly & a smile...brisket moist & tender, smoke ring, perfect..A definite must visit!

Visiting a friend in j-ville and went to saucy dogs for dinner. I got a pulled chicken sandwich which was pretty great! The sauces are good, and although my friends got the pulled pork, a deep fried hot dog, and the ribs, I didn't try any of their food...waitress was nice and the atmosphere is ok. There are always a lot of people that eat here, which is a good sign!

Very good BBQ!! One of very few restaurants open on Sunday in Jonesville. The brisket was amazing, so were the dogs and chips. The only downside was the terrible cheese sauce that was poured over the (not so) stuffed potato and nachos. It had NO taste at all. Fresh cheese would have made it all perfect. Stay away from the cheese and you will be very satisfied.

A little busy for sunday lunch, but the service was great and the food delicious. My cousin and I say a huge table as there is not a lot of seating for small groups. Pork sandwich was tender and the cole slaw was nice and crisp. Would definitely go back to try the brisket and have a couple beers.

Like hotdogs? This is heaven. The rest of the food is good, too, especially the appetizers and BBQ. But the hotdogs are about all I come here for. The prices are reasonable. The service is adequate, generally not to slow and not too fast.

Uhhhgug. We just Left Saucy Dog. And by "Uhhhgug" I mean "Wow, that was good. Now someone roll me to my car." I had the wedge salad with pulled pork and a couple variations of the wings. Great BBQ, huge portions, excellent value. I wish I lived closer to this establishment, but it's probably just as well. I'd be 20 pounds heavier.

Best wings in the tri-state area (and we have tried them all)! Great customer service by Shay.. We will be back very soon!

We do not visit this establishment often because of the distance from home. We have never never been disappointed with the gourmet hotdogs, fishfry , and sandwiches they offer. They have a fine selection of foreign and domestic beer. They make their own potato chips that are thick & tasty after deep frying them. The place can get busy and noisy. Go early and eliminate those two problems

Great BBQ and good sized portions. The BBQ sauce was delicious, on the sweet side. They said cole slaw was a side, but there was only a tiny paper cupful--barely enough to put on your sandwich. So if you expect or want more, you need to ask. Service was great, very friendly. We also had dessert. Caution: dessert portions are huge! It is a sports bar atmosphere, kind of noisy, but family friendly. You could have a large group in this place. Seating is all hardwood, so I suggest you grab a yellow foam pad (supplied by the door) to make it more comfy. I love the bright yellow walls and red highlights in the decor. Very cheerful! Hillsdale College isn't far away--just 5 miles. We visited on parents' weekend, ate just before dinner time; it was busy but not crowded. I suspect it gets packed at peak times.

My friend & I went here today. I got the beef brisket and it was so fatty my friend threw up thinking about it and I was gagging all the way home.

Great barbecue and atmosphere. Service can be slow at times, but that is a rare occurrence. Some of my favorites are the BBQ pork nachos, pulled pork sandwich, the Mutt Dog and the traditional chicken wings with Wicked Bleu Cheese sauce. Reasonable prices for generous portions.

Last night was my first visit to Saucy and they were either understaffed or experienced an unexpected large dinner crowd. I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and suspect it was the latter. The service was horrible from the very start as our server forgot to bring lemons with the water one of our group had requested. Things went downhill from there as we had to flag down another server and ask her to have our server stop by so we could order additional beverages - both alcoholic and pop - as we waited an inordinate amount of time for our food. When the food did arrived there were missing entrees and sides. As far as the quality of the food results were mixed. The ribs and chicken received passing grades, while the hotdogs were deemed below average, especially at $7.00 a dog, with the hamburger being overcooked and too smokey. We all agreed that though our experience was not a positive one, we would give Saucy another try, hoping that they would be better prepared to handle whatever crowd might arrive. The atmosphere is relaxed, comfortable and kid-friendly.

They are open on Sundays. At least during the summer, as we are here now having lunch on the patio.

Have been to Saucy Dogs twice while visiting nearby Hillsdale College. First time it was very busy and service seemed inexperienced and overwhelmed. I had the brisket and it was ok. Not the best I have had but not the worst either. Second time was a Sunday afternoon, not very busy. Service was attentive and adequate. I had the pulled pork..and it was really good! Onion rings were very good as well. Fries had potential if they weren't on the cold side. I could see into the kitchen and they sat waiting for quite awhile before they were served. Overall, good place and will go again.

Saucy Dog's is a great addition to the Hillsdale county dining scene. A fun theme (who couldn't love barbecuing bull dogs?), tasty bbq and small-town friendly make for an enjoyable meal. One of my favorite places to go for a visit with friends and family. The food is generally well done, although some of their more adventurous burger offerings fall flat. The standard bbq sandwiches and dishes are available, in addition to a wide assortment of generously sized burger combos. Some interesting--and quite tasty--hot dog options round out a menu heavy on meats. .45 cent wing Tuesdays are killer, especially when paired with one of their numerous beer selections. Service is nothing to complain about, and the atmosphere is helped by a consistent theme. Large picnic tables make up most of the seating, in addition to some smaller side tables in a nook away from the TV. In summer weather a patio is available outback. Marsalla's right next door is your best bet for dessert.

This is some BULLS#!t!!!! My husband and I swung by here on our way home from our friends cottage and I was drunk when I walked in the door, so frankly the food should have been good no matter what but it was honestly so disgusting I couldn't even finish my food. To start not only did the bartender look like she jumped right out of 1984, but she made the absolute worst margarita I have ever had. It had no alcohol in it and it was made from the cheapest moat overly sweet bottled margarita mix ever. Now, the namesake of the restaurant is their deep fried hot dogs....I had the saucy dog of which the restaurant is named after and my husband had the mitt. Both we slathered in a very clearly jared sauce that tasted WAY too sweet and full of chemicals and preservative, and the buns were stale and my husbands dog was supposed to be wrapped in bacon and it wasn't. The homemade chips were ok, but needed salt badly. And icing on the cake, the service was slow slow slow slow....and there was no music or ambient noise in the place so it was very awkward to sit in there and hear everyone's conversation in the whole restaurant. Terrible restaurant....I feel sick just thinking about it Gross.

Wings are excellent. The sauce is tangy rather than overly spivey. The onion rings are also excellent but you must ask for condiments. There is no ketchup at the tables or silverware which is unfortunate. The hound dog was disappointing. The bun was dried out and inedible (this is not my first experience with this issue here) the chili on the hot dog is heavy on the beans and tasteless. The service was friendly and quick, and the kids meals are large and filling even for an older child. I think they need to start making their own buns or ordering from somewhere else because they are gross.

This is a fun restaurant and everything I've ever had was of high quality. It's always been a hit with our kids, too.

Went here for lunch with my mom and had a great time. The decor is typical for a barbecue joint, with the picnic style booths. We enjoyed a couple of pink poodles before our food arrived. I had the barbecue brisket sandwich, it was awesome. My mother ordered the Texas brisket sandwich with a jalapeno gravy (get it on the side), it was deep fried and the gravy was very spicy. It was a huge sandwich, and she seemed to really enjoy it.

This place has so much potential, it is hard to believe that it hasn't been featured on the Food Network. Sadly, except for the indoor picnic tables, it lacks ambiance. It is dark, and not lively at all. Maybe its just the location? The service, while acceptable, was slow and seemed more grudgingly attentive than exuberant that my group of 4 doubled the number of customers inside the joint the minute we stepped in the door. On the plus side, the food was extremely tasty, and would be good enough for me to come back for another visit if I ever get back to the backwoods of Michigan ever again.

Well if you're looking to stuff yourself till you can't make a fist (which I don't recommend) without spending a lot of $, then this is the place. The portions are big, and very tasty. They have really good (though not good for you, I'm sure ;) ) chili cheese fries! The atmosphere is really cool and fun, like a cross between a family friendly sports bar (if there is such a thing) and a 50's hangout spot. Fairly loud at times but not as bad as places like Buffalo Wild Wings. We don't eat pork so we asked if the hot dogs are all beef, and they told us that they were. We also asked if the baked beans had pork in them and we were told "no". The staff is friendly and very helpful.
