The food. Not bad. The beer....well okay. The service is a bit lack luster if you have a big group.

This place was hard to find because the signage stopped at the intersection so I found myself wandering aimlessly through the parking lots until I stumbled upon it, The atmosphere is extremely strange as the place is a combination of a lounge, bar, craft brewery and family diner. It seems like their only revenue is from heavy drinking locals who frequent the bar and sass the staff. I asked for a flight to try several of the brews and the bartender did not know what I was asking for. She asked if I meant a light beer (ugh) which was a bad sign. After explaining that I wanted to taste my drinks instead of having colored water, the flight was prepared. Of the 6 I tried, I liked one - the stout. I thought the red was average, the hoplust IPA had little flavor, and the raspberry/blueberry wheat were over sweetened. The mild was poorly done with strange flavors coming out. The food menu had way too many options so when I finally settled on the gourmet mac and cheese with the beer and cheese soup, I was hopeful it would be good pub food. The soup tasted kind of like the bulk nacho cheese that you buy at a bulk food store. The gourmet mac and cheese had such a thick layer of seasoning and bread crumbs on the top that the guy next to me asked what kind of food it was because it looked so strange. It was okay, but I wasn't a fan of tomatoes in my mac and cheese. While eating my food, I overheard the waitstaff complaining rather loudly that some people were only ordering drinks and not food. One waitress even gave up one of her tables to the bartender since the bikers were apparently only ordering beer...at a brewery/lounge/diner/bar or whatever this place was which isn't really all that strange or even inconsiderate. Overall, go to Marquette, where quality brews and food are located and their business doesn't have an identity crisis.

The food here is delicious. The prices aren't bad and the beer is fantastic. The street here are as friendly as can be. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to people.

Nice family restaurant but a lot of the food is pre-made. The burgers are really good but some of the other items I've tried were clearly pre-made from frozen. So I stick with the burger menu and they do offer a large variety of burgers! But the service is always good and staff is always super friendly.

Had their house IPA beer and it was ok. The four stars is for the friendly server Heather and being that its the only microbrewery in the the town. Will definitely be back.

This place is a bit pricey. I really like their fries. I'm not a beer drinker but I have heard lots of people say it is tasty. The Thursday night trivia is always a good time.

Happen to stop in as I was in the area. Might have been here once before but not sure. Heard the beer was at least ok. A football Sunday so I was surprised that not many people were there. Most were seated in the bar area watchin football and the dining area was completely empty. Obviously seated immediately and service was right there. No real style to the place, half diner, half cafeteria, half bar, three quarter blah. Ordered an IPA which was brewed there and it was OK Had the Philly Steak which was eh OK, meaty yes but was just missing something, no edge or spice to it. No oomph. Olive burger was ordered as well which was pretty good, burger nice tender juicy, just every day canned olives on top. Pub fries were good. Service was excellent Sandy was great. So would I go again?; well I suppose if I happen to be in the area and needed to eat. Would I make a special trip NO

this place was fine, especially where it is... i mean, it's a real pub/bar/restaurant, in basically the middle of nowhere. i had their potato wedges, which is their take on potato skins, and they were sort of unique and definitely better than others i've had. i agree with the person below who observed that not much on the menu was under $10 - including the burgers!

I live in this town....and have gone here on and off for the last 10 years....and have had a bad experience 80 percent of the time.....take out and eat in.... The golden wheat is very good....when they don't run out of it....and when they have a bartender that doesn't go out of their way to pour it so it goes flat.......good luck on this. Take out or eat in....they get my order wrong....continuously. Tonight our table of 5 ordered. Sandwiches all the way around. 3 of them were perfect. 1 had onions which we specifically asked to be held. My sandwich was not what I ordered. I asked for a pork cuban...and received a chicken club....we were in a hurry....so I ate it.....this is not unusual per my experience at this place....that said...it was good....though...it was not what I ordered. We repeatedly placed our empty drink glasses at the end of the table hoping to receive some sort of service....which did not happen...again...the norm for this place.....the waitress gave me a vacant stare as she walked by. The third time she walked by.....I called her name...which I saw on her tag....asked her for another round of drinks for our table......which to her credit....were delivered to our table in two rounds within 10 minutes....completely acceptable at this place. Upon completion of our meal and drinks....she delivered the check in acceptable time.....the bill was placed at the end of our table with the credit card showing.....and remained there for over 20 minutes.....at which time we waiver her down....informed her of the payment.....and as if we hadn't had enough....decided to stay for another drink...as I don't get to see my parents very often..... 20 minutes later.....our waitress arrived with the credit card and bill.....tips were left......drinks were half finished due to slow service....and we left. So....good luck to you at this establishment......I will not go back......until I get bored with all the other choices in a 50 mile radius......then....and only then....will I return....to be treated poorly.....and once again swear...that I will never return.

Walking into this place you would never expect the quality of beer that they have. Absolutely loved the blueberry and raspberry beer. The blueberries even had frozen blueberries in it. Staff was friendly and efficient. This was a stop after dinner so we didn't get to eat the food but if I were in the area again, I would definitely stop by.

Jasper Ridge Brewery is a tacky family diner chain meets barely above home brewer's basement. Nothing about this place stood out. The food is lacking any flavor or imagination and the decor is dated which makes it hard to take the beer seriously. You know what else makes it difficult to take this place seriously, no beer menu on the table for customers to review. If you're coming here to drink wine, then you're all set, because they do offer wine menus. I got the sampler tray....where not one beer stood out. The waitress dropped it off without saying a word. The names of each beer are under the glass, but there were two missing. I'm left assume they either stopped making them or ran out. Having been to Keweenaw Brewing Co (KBC), The Library, Ore Dock and The Vierling, I can easily say this place comes in last in every facet of their operation. They would do well to take notes from KBC and Ore Dock, in terms of quality of beer. And in terms of running a brew pub, they would do well to look at almost any brewery operating one.

I've been here a handful of times and would not return by choice. I have not had a single beer that I liked and they were out of the two that I wanted to try. I can't speak much for the food as I only came to sample the beer. But if it's the beer you want, I'd go a little farther east to Marquette to get some quality crafts.

I can't say I would never go here again but I wouldn't recomend it to anyone either. The service was mediocre at best. Our waitress came up to us after sitting for a half hour and told us she was sorry for the delay but they were startig our food now. I guess I comend her for at least telling us it would be a little longer. But then we could hear her arguing with the chef in the kitchen to fix something because it wasn't right and the chef was arguing back that it wasnt his fault. We could tell they were arguing about our food because my husband requested lettuce on his burger and the chef didn't want to add it. Again I have to comend her for fighting for us but it was very unprofessional. The food came out as typical bar food. Nothing special but okay.

What a nice surprise! We arrived in town later in the evening when other places were closed and stopped in for a late supper. A nice, local bar atmosphere. The chicken fritter appetizer and fish &chips entree were very tasty and generously sized. Friendly staff. A good place to get a simple meal.
