Really nice service and delicious pizza. Loved the veggie pizza we had with olives and mushrooms. The cudighi and pepperoni pizza was also really good. I like the thin crust and the sauce. It's just a couple of miles off the 41 to Ishpeming and its historic downtown. This great place to eat makes it worth the stop.

The best pizza you can get in Ishpeming, MI. Thin crust pizza. Go with sausage and whatever else you want. If you get a cudighi it is also native to the area. I get everything including mustard (if you have that Detroit attitude).

In mid-August my husband and I, and my step-daughter, toured Michigan for 10 days, coming from Oakland, California. Oakland is experiencing a food revolution right now. You can't swing a dead cat without hitting a fun, new, brilliant restaurant serving the freshest, most nourishing food on the planet prepared with a certain renaissance vision and passion. So we're food snobs. Most of Michigan left us gagging, but a very bright spot indeed is found way out in the boondocks of Ishpeming at the Congress Pizza. What a gem. The Congress is sparkling, squeaky, freakishly clean. Absolutely everything is in it's place. Much of the impeccable interior is original to the early Congress Bar. It is a pleasure to walk into and be in. We got there very early, before everyone else in town in fact, and just wanted a nosh to take the edge off of our hunger until we could get home and do the labor of dinner prep. We had a pizza with their oddly-named house sausage mixture, and man was it good. The crust, was it made by angels imported from Canada? So thin, so tasty and crunchy and yet yielding. The house meat topping is outstanding. It is all made with love. I know that little flavor. It's more of a sparkle, really, and the entirety of Congress Pizza sparkles with food/love goodness.

5 stars all the way for this local treasure! Some of the best pizza I've ever had, on several continents and (more importantly) the major pizza cities in the US. Their signature cudighi is some of the best sausage around, and a perfect complement to their cracker crust and fresh and simple (delectable!) sauce. As for their service and atmosphere, both are also commendable. The wait staff are friendly and knowledgable, and have senses of humor as well. The place looks like the local landmark that it is, and hopefully stays that way. Their full bar features a selection of local beers, cocktails, and even wine. All around, I'd be shocked if anyone had anything but praises to sing about Congress Pizza.

Best pizza in MQT county. That ain't no lie. This is a razor thin crust pizza unlike any other. The staff is friendly, the service fast, and the ingredients are choice. The cudighi pizza is out of this world. Go with Top Cheese if you love it extra gooey and delicious.

I was raised in the U.P. when I was really young and now live in San Francisco, and haven't been back to Ishpeming for about 4 years. However, other then to go see my family, there are only 3 reasons I come back to visit (1) Pasties (2) Cudighi and (3) CONGRESS PIZZA! They have THE BEST PIZZA IN THE WORLD. I have been eating it since I was a baby and have yet to find anything better. I don't know whether its the amazingly thin crust or sweet yet spicy tomato sauce. Regardless, it's a real winner. MISS YOU CONGRESS!

If I had one restaraunt to go to for the rest of my life this would be the place. Every where I travel I try to find a better thin crust pizza and it's just not possible. Unreal! Pauly is the man too!

Been all over the world and lived in many places. When pizza comes to mind nothing beats a Congress pie. This trip, no exception. Had three pies, each different and good! Service friendly although bar servers could be friendlier to out of towners like they are to regulars . Anyway see you again next year!!!

Congress pizza is by-far THE BEST pizza I've ever eaten! There is no other pizza that even comes close to the light crisp crust and the incredibly fresh sauce! I crave this pizza year round and consume mass quantities when I'm back in Ishpeming!

Authentic Italian thin crust pizza in the UP! This third generation Italian pizza place has captured my heart and stomach! Stopping here on the recommendation of a dear Yooper friend, I was blown away at both the quality of the food and people. The 2 cheese pesto pizza was seasoned perfectly with a delightful crunch to the crust. Ordered with fresh tomatoes finished it off very nicely. Another MUST have is the Cudighi. Mine was had with onions and mushrooms. I will now forever crave this beauty of a sandwich.

Congress Pizza provides a fresh, light(er), thin, crispy crust pizza that is close to authentic Italian as I've had in the U.S. It's still too heavy on the sauce and toppings to be exact, but the flavor is really good and the pizzas are not at all greasy or overdone. On weekend evenings, the place can get crowded and your wait can be quite long. We arrived on a Friday at dinner time, placed our order and waited for a table for about 1/2 an hour, the pizzas were done and at the table about an hour after ordering. There are some old arcade games up front that the kids enjoyed playing, but, if you're in a hurry or have impatient kids, then consider another night.

Congress is a must stop every time we come to the area. The pizza here is awesome and I don 't feel like a total beefcake when I eat a ton of it because the crust is thin and light and most importantly, not greasy. If you are in the area, stop and eat here.

The Cudighi Pizza at the Congress is amazing. The sauce might seem a bit sweet at first, but then turns addictive in a hurry. I might have had a better pizza in Glasgow Scotland (it was anchovies and capers) (and it was Glasgow !??!) but as far as pizza in the states, this is undoubtedly the best I've ever had. The crust is my gold standard.
