I wanted to give this place 4 stars but I couldn't the red salsa tasted like pizza sauce extremely gross I don't think it's home made, the carne asada tacos were good but the meat tasted old not moist like TJ tacos they need to put some guacamole on them, and what's up with the chips they give you like 5 chips. Now for the good part the green salsa was great the pastor meat was seasoned very well delicious!!!! I liked the rice the beans were good but very dry looking but still good. I would go back for the pastor meat and the green salsa. I plan to go back soon to try other things on their menu if they worked on the salsa taste and carne asada it needs to be moist I would give them 5 stars. I know I said negative things but I think everyone should try this place out they do have great Mexican food.

Wonderful Authentic Mexican food. The owner is rely nice. They offer a lot of gluten free options. The wait staff is young, so they are kinda slow. During the day at lunch they are fast.

5 stars on the Ionia scale, for certain! Excited to find such good Mexican food in little ol' Ionia, Michigan. Given the good reviews on Yelp, I stopped in with my husband on a Sunday evening. I was excited to see they had fresh tamales on their specials board - apparently they are rarely offered, as our server had to ask the kitchen for details when I asked. Lucky me - they were delicious! And only $7.50 for two with rice/beans. I was also excited to see they serve horchata - a delicious sweet drink you don't find in most mid-Michigan Mexican restaurants. I didn't notice until we had already ordered our drinks, but they happily brought me a (generous) free sample - yum! My husband was impressed by his enchiladas too. Another "above and beyond" - he asked about the avocado cream sauce that was offered for the enchiladas, so the kitchen whipped up a fresh side of it for him to try. It was delicious, and we both poured it all over our remaining rice. Yum! Definitely try this place out. Great service, yummy food, and excellent prices.

This is the best Mexican I have had in a long time! Their shrimp tacos are amazing. Their meat is so lean and yummy. This lunch buffet, during the week, is an amazing deal. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Very kind and just a pleasure. I would eat here daily if I could. Writing this review makes me want a taco!

So good! Very close to authentic. I highly recommend the torta and the shrimp tacos. The chips and house made salsa (give me a straw- I could drink it!) are delicious, and if you like spicy, you can request a seperate salsa that packs decent heat. The restaurant is located on M-66 near Tractor Supply. Dont miss it.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
